It is Elementalist, followed by Thief.
After that I’m not sure but I’d say Warrior>Guardian
Alright, I’ve just created 1/6/5/2/0 build.

Hi
I’m quite new to PvE thief, so I’d like to know what is the best dungeon build for thieves atm… Including runes, sigils, utilities, etc.
If you can post a link I’d really appreciate it
Thank you for your help
How do I know when I need reflection or not?
I know I’ll get there with experience, but is there any general rule or certain bosses?
Hey maxi, great job here.
I wonder if you can help me
I have full assassin’s armor and weapons with scholar runes, and zerk trinkets.
What of the builds you listed would suit me better?
I know it depends on utilities you want or not to use, as well as reflection uptime, but what build do you think contributes with more DPS overall?
I don’t mind giving up slots for mantras because i mostly use only feedback anyway.
Thanks for your help!
Why not Scholar?
Human because there are very few of them in-game
Asura because they’re the superior class, and the cutest with cutest animations
Norn because they’re ugly, big and have the Leopard racial
Sylvari because no
Charr for having 3 big Charr clones
Hold the phone.
People are actually complaining about Necros in PvP?
The condibombers in condi meta, oneshotsignet, two lives Necros?
No wonder PvP is in the state it is atm.
Hey Joe,
Why do you go Assassin’s instead of full Zerk? Is it because of the Ferocity nerf?
Would you still use Assassin’s in a Phantasm build for roaming?
Hi, I’m a new Mesmer, but not new at this game, and I finally decided to make it my main because it’s the one I enjoy playing the most.
I have a few questions regarding dungeon builds, if you can help me:
1 – What is currently the most efficient dungeon build (post-patch of course)?
2 – What is the best beginner build for dungeons, while still being effective? (I’m asking this because I’m not very experienced at dungeons And Mesmer)
3 – I understand that atm there is Full dps build (6.6.0.0.2) and Reflect build (6.4.0.4.0) am I right?
4 – Which of the above builds is best overall, if I don’t want to keep switching between specs to start with?
5 – Should I work to get full Assassins or Berserker build? What is the best option and why?
6 – If I want also to roam in WvW with another power build suited for that purpose, will I be better off with theBerserker or Assassin gear? (I’m asking this because I only want to invest in one set, I can’t afford 2)
Thanks a lot for your time, hope you can clear things up for me!
Edit: grammar

looks pretty good, I’ll give it a try, thanks for the guide!
Let’s face it.
Mesmer is easier to get into PvP than most professions, because your clones distract enemies while you can learn how to play.
This is true especially if you’re fighting begginers. The detargetting and multiple characters makes it all overwhelming, and by the time they detect the real you they are already dead.
Now, I don’t have much experience in late competitive/skilled play, but I’m assuming this changes with time, experience and effort.
To sum up, it’s the Mesmer’s unique clone ability that confuses them and the fact they need to keep targeting the real one that makes new players frustrated when they play against one.
Any word on the Mesmer bug fixes that weren’t fixed after all, and the move of empowering mantras to domination?
Hi
I’m gonna start playing with my Mesmer in PvP, even though I heard they’re not in a great spot atm (is this true?)
While I know conditions are better atm, I’d prefer playing a power shatter free build (mainly because I don’t think I can manage shatters being new at Mesmer)
What is the most efficient PvP build after this patch? Can you post a link with traits, skills, runes and sigils please?
I’m just asking this because I’m quite new with Mesmer and I have little idea of what to use
If there is a much better condition build in comparison to power, I’ll take the condition build and give it a shot
Thank you for your help
That’s it.
Whoever plays a power build in Structured PvP must understand the frustration it is to play this game mode atm.
I see condi bunkers everywhere, they load me, I’m dead.
And the worst part is that, Anet being Anet will only fix this in 2043.
I also don’t get why they can’t make balance changes more often. If it’s broken, if players give accurate feedback regarding balance, why not fix it and release it in at least a week?
I mean, once a patch hits, you’ll see update notes on the following days fixing bugs.
It shouldn’t be so hard to make balance changes more often.
Don’t be afraid to try! PvP game mode is broken! Do something!
I just think this is ridiculous.
Conditions were already OP, and what do they do? Nerf power builds instead.
I do understand the change from a PvE point of view, but me and a lot of players are concerned about WvW.
We’ll see the boring condition gameplay everywhere, drop conditions, run while they tear the enemy apart, repeat, repeat, repeat.
Tell me where is the logic in this. This was the worst change in a feature patch that could be otherwise great.
Am I missing something here? Please give some feedback regarding this.
Hi
What race do you think has more benefits in a WvW/PvP setting? I mean in terms of racial skills.
I know asura have the advantage of being small and less noticeable, but apart from that, what would you pick that has the best racial skills for player vs player?
P.S.: I know racials don’t apply in Structured PvP
Thank you
Thank you all
I will try D/D and D/P and see which one suits better for me
Hi
What do you consider to be the best power build for roaming purposes?
If possible, can you link it on a build website please? I’d like to know what traits, skills, and especially the proper gear, since everyone has a different opinion.
Also, how are thieves at dealing with conditions? Do you think they will be hit hard by ferocity change?
Thanks a lot
Hi
For the past few months I’ve been trying all different professions, and so far I got Necro, Thief and Engi to level 80.
Ele always seemed to me the most interesting one, but I always backed away based on players’ feedback on Elementalists, which is mostly bad. And I’m talking from a PvP / WvW roaming point of view.
Apparently, even if you put a lot of effort in your Ele, a player with the same skill playing another class, will still beat you. It’s probably fun to play, but not rewarding.
Then, sometimes I check some roaming videos, and people seem to be doing great with their Ele, but is it just lack of opponents’ skill?
I wanna ask you Elementalist players, what is your experience with this profession?
What can you kill and what can’t you kill in 1vX scenarios, is it worth to play even after the 15th of April patch?
I’m just insisting on this, because everyone seems to have a different opinion.
Are you skilled? Can you beat other skilled players as an Ele?
I hope you can clarify this for me, so I know if I should or not invest in the Elementalist.
Thank you for your time
EDIT: What is the most fun closest class I can pick, that is fun and rewarding at the same time? I’m tempted by Mesmer, and Engi I also enjoyed. How are Mesmers?

Hi
Is Anet done with the balance changes?
I mean, I was expecting way more, they’ve only presented very few changes, and the new traits are not going to change much in my opinion…
I really hope they will do some more rework of the classes before the patch hits.
Hi guys.
I know to be efficient in dugeons as and Ele you need to swap weapon sets and stuff, but is there one build that you can use most of the time without having to change weapons/traits, etc?
I’m just gonna start dungeons on my Ele and I’d really appreciate your help.
What weapon setup/traits/utility skills would you use for it?
Thank you
EDIT: if you can link the build please
Justin, are you going to implement balance changes, and not only new features and traits?
Eles need more DMG, not sustain…
kitten , if you want to hurt a player you have to go full zerk
Otherwise you’re just surviving while the opponent recovers health quicker than you can take it
Hi guys
What race do you think I should make my Elementalist, mainly for roaming in WvW and some PvP?
Norn = Snow Leopard form (very good escape mecanism in WvW) – Is Fiery Greatsword a good replacement for this in case I don’t choose Norn?
Asura = Being small, less noticeable (good in both WvW and PvP)
Also, regarding looks, if I make an Asura, does it matter a lot if I make it the smallest or the tallest in character creation?
Thanks
I quite like your roaming videos, but I would like to see at some point duels against all professions
I agree with some of you.
Instead of buffing classes, they should be nerfed.
+1 for enabling duels
Hi
Where is the best place to go in WvW if I want a good roaming experiente?
Also, does it matter a lot what server do you belong?
If so, what EU servers are better at that?
Thanks
What do you most often use to interrupt as an engineer, for the perplexity runes to be viable?
Ah.. I see… So basically Anet forgot about the WvW player vs player part once again
Hi
Can you tell me the reason to this crit damage nerf in this game?
I mean, people have been complaining for ages about condition damage, and what do you do? Nerf power builds… Does this make any sense?
I do understand that too high burst is not good for this game (thieves’ 1-2 shots come to mind), but that doesn’t mean you have to reduce it for the whole game in general
With this change it will only benefit more condition builds… We see condition builds everywhere in PvP and WvW… They dominate the PvP scene.
The way I see it, it should be the other way around… Conditions are a much more reliable source of damage, not to mention their damage depends on one stat only.
We don’t see many power builds atm, and we’ll see even less unfortunately.
Also, regarding the playstyle, you must agree that it is way easier to play a condition build, because it does constant damage to enemies, while you’re kiting, running away, swapping weapons, etc. On the other hand, with power builds, you have to be much more reactive, if you miss or the oponent dodges your burst, you’re screwed most of the time.
I’d really like to hear Anet’s opinion on this
Thank you for your time reading this
Dude, can I tell you
I’ve only been playing this game for 3 months, and finally I decided to make Engi my main thanks to you and your videos.
Your roaming videos are by far the best and most enjoyable I’ve seen. I just wish I had half of your skill
Hi
I’ve been playing this game for a few months, and finally decided that this are my favourite professions.
I’m not very wealthy in-game, so I wanted to focus and invest in one of them to become my main.
Can you give me some advice in choosing between Ele or Engi?
I can tell you that I much prefer WvW roaming and PvP than PvE.
I want to have fun while playing but I don’t want to feel frustrated/underpowered most of the time…
Having in thought the next balance patch, for what we know at the moment, what do you think would be my best bet for what I’m aiming for my main?
Hope you can help me decide
Thank you
Noob question from a 1-day old engineer:
What does HGH stand for?
Lol I was just wondering what the hell was that asura/human talk
Solo roaming – Ele over Engineer? Really?
Hi guys
Is there any good Engineer power rifle build for SPvP?
If there is, can you link it please?
Thanks a lot
Just link your build on one of the editors
Please go human, only 60% of gw2 population are humans
Hi
Which of these 2 professions is more efficient in a 1v1 scenario?
And will the answer change based on the incoming balance patch in March?
Thank you
I’m still unsure whether to use staff or d/d, but I might go to d/d because I’ll be playing it in WvW when I reach 80, that way I can get the practice while leveling
Hi guys, can you tell me what’s the most efficient and quickest build to level an Elementalist?
What weapon set
What traits
Thanks a lot
The best way to go for a necro is to stay with your zerg. Do not roam if you are a necro.
Yeah… but no
I love roaming and having necro’s survivability paired with the king of racials, seems pretty good roaming option to me
Avoid elementalists like the plague if you don’t want to be constantly frustrated.
The way they are ATM, and will still be after the patch, it’s a pain to play. High risk, zero reward.
Hi guys,
Do you think that being a Norn, and having the Snow Leopard elite is the way to go for Necros requiring some mobility when roaming in WvW?
I don’t understand why you ANet staff don’t release balance patches more often…
Players want active balance changes in this game.
Is it really that hard to launch balance patches more frequently?
It’s a game with soooo much potential, yet broken due to being so unbalanced
Hi guys,
I made a Norn for the first time, and, is it me or the camera looks more zoomed in than the other professions?
It looks like your Max zoom out is less than with races like human and asura..
And I’m female and shortest possible
I think it affects a lot the perception of what’s going on around you, really needed in PvP
Can someone confirm this?
Thank you
Hi guys
Can you help me decide on one of this races for my Necro?
I will mostly be doing solo/small scale roaming, so I considered:
Norn – Because of the Snow Leopard transform skill, I thought it would be very useful as a escape mechanism, since Necros lack in that department
Asura – Because they are small, giving them advantadge in a PvP environment, and of course because of their cool animations.
What do you think looks-wise? I know how Asuras look, cause I’ve leveled one, but I never leveled a Norn, and if I do it will be female. Does the armor look good in them?
Thank you
