You could kill off a large number of young karka sell the shells and make a large number of money and buy the T6 material. Just a thought.
The young karka take longer to kill and drop less loot then killing the risen. Southsun Coast is not an enjoyable place for a level 80. As a level 80 i would like to feel powerful, and get great rewards. I felt more powerful as a newbie at level 0ne!
(*look up funny images of Skyrim Hoarders)
That was funny! Thanks
Bot ban! The tier 5-6 has gone up some too I hope it continues to rise, and if the bots come back we will have to group with them so the few people who like to farm matts in the open world won’t feel so punished.

Best food is finger foods, like cookies, candy, chicken nuggets. So that you have one hand to snack, and the other to play the game
Or my favorite: Chocolate Swiss Almond Coffee!
i find orr a total waste of time. running dungeons is a far more satisfying way to make money.
But if you don’t like dungeons in GW2, then all other ways to get rewards are much reduced.
Those who have learned or discovered how to combine resources found in the world are able to craft wonderful things.
I agree!!
So sad that Southsun Cove added a new level 80 area, except made extremely difficult for a solo player to enjoy, and not enough rewards for solo or group play.
Southsun Cove is not a war zone like Orr, but why make it so user unfriendly. Not fun!
—Theres too many mobs too close together.
—Too many Giant karka (group activity) which usually drop nothing.
—Why the annoying invisible screen
—Why no level 80 herb nodes?
—Few waypoints
I did not know this was bugged! What is the next best rune to use for my ranger?
Too bad they made the page too difficult for me to vote for gw2…
And the only category to vote for was indie, browser, and mobile.
Special items/decorations for my player house and guild hall
Since just selling the ingredients/matts is more often the best profit, why won’t crafters just raise the price of their completed item? Why are crafted items listed on the TP for less than the components are worth?
If crafters would raise their prices on completed items, then it would be worth more then its ingredients. Is it because there are so many “master crafted” and like items that are world drops, not player made, and auto-priced?
What about people who do not like the GW2 dungeons? I think the new tokens should be available both in world and in dungeons equally. And not restricted to a specific activity.
How are we going to earn the new tokens? Will there be options to find one, such as: mob drops, and events in every zone? Or will it be a more specific activity?
Yeah, guild halls would be great and if you can decorate them with furniture, it would be awsome !
This could go hand in hand with the new currency, as you could gather tokens for furniture !
And/Or you could:
—craft furniture and decorations
—get furnature and decorations from a rare drop in world
—buy special extra shinny furniture and decorations in the gem shop
The token system may or may not be something i like to do. It depends on what we will be doing in order to get the token. I hope its not restricting us to a certain way to play the game.

How about a Bard: weapons would look like musical instruments, and also have notes to play songs. Bards would have powerful pets.
Its beautiful !!
I am very surprised guild halls and player housing are not on the top of the list. Because just think of all the profit Anet could make selling decorations in the store
The drop rate must be already nerfed in a specific place i was farming, because i only got one in 50 minutes, and the crowd that was there is no longer
Just a few days ago i was getting 4-6 in 30 minutes.
Diminishing returns or bad RNG for the day, take your pick. You really think the most logical explanation is that ANet went in and adjusted the drop rate?
Yes, if the drop rate is more in one area than in another area. Bot hot spots are a sure give-away that the specific area is giving better returns. And Anet prefers we hunt in dungeons, and not in the open world. (because of the bots).

Will new items be introduced regularly? And if so will all new items only be gear ?
I don’t like any dungeons/jumping puzzles/mazes i’ve tried so far in GW2, so i am “Anti-ascended gear” at this time. I do love the in world soloable PVE so im hoping the new ascended gear will be available in the world (without having to complete a jumping puzzle).
Also i hope Anet keeps adding new items, so i have something to hunt for or make gold for. But will any new item only be gear ?
iBUYPOWER gaming desktop computer at walmart! Best gaming computer i’ve ever had, and the price is excellent
“I farmed the materials myself so they’re free!”
It takes me 20 min to hop on my two 80’s and run around Orr. I usually end up with around 60 omnomberries
With few omnomberries available to farm, i simply can’t believe anyone can get 30-60 of them in 20 minutes. I would love to see a 20 minute video
selling all the components separately would have made more gold then the item you crafted, sorry.
You can often run in and get the “commune” skill point by running in, commune…then die
Guild Halls would have to be run off of servers. And may require a monthly fee.
No need for a monthly fee… Anet could make a huge profit in the gem shop simply by adding decorative items to use in guild halls and player housing.
I keep getting this error on the forums as well:
Server Error
502 – Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server.
There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server.
Its because most of us loved the leveling system and graphics…but we want more reasons to play after that:
— text based pop- up screens showing their achievments? Is the most boring thing to put in any game. Most players would rather get a throphy to show off in their player house and guild hall.
I could list 100’s of fun things i want to do in an online game, but it all boils down to one major aspect: *Most players love to earn gold, find treasures and show them off visually in the game. *
As long as the house included trophy stands, and trophies were added to various achievements, I would love this. For example; kill Zhaitan in the story and get a small statue of him to place in your home. Get X kills in PvP and get an ornate sword to hang on the wall.
I love that kind of stuff.
Yes! i agree. There would never be an “End Game” if housing were introduced along with all the new items and game play, which could be associated with it on a regular basis.
In 15+ years of online RPG gaming, you would think developers know what a player wants the most: to find and show off treasures!
—pretty shinies to place in the world such as trophies, decorations, and rare items.
Player housing could add alot of new and fun gameplay, plus new items for the gem shop. So both player and Anet could be very happy. Its a real shame it has not been done yet.
Are you basing that disparity on the asking prices of all the ingredients or the offer prices?
Since you can generally buy anything for ~10% less than the asking price if you have 1 iota of patience, and you can sell Omnomberry bars for the asking price nearly instantly (which may not be true of all the ingredients), you might be reading the number wrong.
No, i am asking why there are always 1000+ Omnomberry Bars UNDER priced? Because i can’t believe real players would sell at such a loss every day for months. And could there be a auto-generated system in the TP (a non-player) that sells items so cheap, that real player crafted goods will never make a big profit over ingredient prices?
And even if a player did buy the ingredients for less then the average asking price, he could still sell the ingredients for more then the finished product. So why would a real player sell the bars for so low a price?
(edited by lisamee.2408)
Why are there always 1000+ Omnomberry Bars on the TP?
Why do people make and sell the Omnomberry bars, since just selling the ingredients would make more profit? I’m glad someone makes them because i do buy them often…..but i am kinda suspicious that they might be auto-generated by the system, and not player made?
. The very very few times I get one rare, it feels like a miracle happening.
And for the time plus few silver you make on one rare….you could just farm level 1-15 zones and make more silvers
I haven’t looked into whether magic find food makes any cash yet so who knows.
Magic find food sells very well, but the ingredients needed to make it is a slow spawn, and not easy to find. So it is not enjoyable for me to make and sell it. And you cant buy the ingredients and make a profit.
Because the game is set up with a cash (gems) shop, the crafting is not like an old school rpg game. If everyone could easily make gold selling crafted items, them most would not need to buy gems.
But you can slowly make gold by selling the ingredients for crafting, because many people craft to gain levels to 80. And since the drop rate is so low, i only see the prices going up for ingredients.
plague carrier risen malchor’s leap
—player housing (customizable, allows placing items)
—guild halls (customizable, allows placing items)
—new treasures to hunt mobs for
—new items to play for that are affordable and/or won’t take a year to get.
—new armours
—new level 80 zones which are soloable and have all the level specific gathering nodes.
—fishing (but no fake mini game to hurt my wrists) enjoyable fishing please.
I got one passion flower after farming the whole area, using the special tool you buy from the karma vender. Im not so sure it was worth all the time it took to fight the mobs along the way.
I guess its another item that is faster to farm random mobs for the gold, then buy the matt on the TP.
(edited by lisamee.2408)
Yep, don’t worry. It’s easy not to look like you’re one of them when you can clearly see what they’re doing and what paths they’re taking. No worries in killing or running after the same mob.
What if the hunting location is a small area, and if you want to hunt there, you have to stand very near the group of bots?
Stated a different way, don’t look like a bot when playing near bots. You don’t want another player to mistake you for a bot and report you. So, don’t follow them around, running exactly where they run as if you’re tied to them in some way. Behave differently from them.
But being in the same area, doing the same events, killing the same creatures because you happen to intersect—that’s ok.
I don’t follow bots on purpose, but sometimes they are running after the same mob as i am.
Would i get banned for playing near bots? Since bots are in many good hunting spots where i play, there is always the chance that they help to kill the same mobs you are hunting. So this could be considered an exploit? And could i be banned just for playing too close to a group of bots?
During the event and the day after, i fought in the zergs to kill the Veteran Karka. None of them dropped anything at all, and took an extremely long time to kill. Hunting them was very disappointing, and is why no one tries to. The young karka also take too long to kill for the returns you get, compared to other level 80 mobs.
young karka long to kill? I beg to differ. Takes less than 20 seconds to kill them. I am S/P thief.
Anyway, nice vid. Will try it today
YES, young karka take longer to kill then most level 80 mobs. Let us know if you were happy or disappointed hunting the Veteran Karka.
Next to content/storyline, whats most important to me are RETURNS for playing. Returns such as gold, treasures, new items, all shinnies!! I want to find fun ways to make alot of gold and have a steady stream of new items to buy with it. If Anet need to make money in their gem store, all they have to do is simply stock it up with alot of items that are more beautiful.

Third party programs
I do believe anyone running a third party program to manipulate the game for personal profit (boting) should have the highest punishment: banning. This is the norm in all online games, and most of us know the rule.
Exploits
An exploit is a bug or glitch, and if the “specific” exploit is not noted in the TOS (terms of service), players should not be automatically banned. Punishment should be handled case by case. Bugs and glitches (exploitable) have always occurred in online games, and are considered by most a normal fun part of gameplay. Unless a player uses an exploit to make real life money, then this should not be an automatic bannable offensive.
I think it takes them some time to prove the reported player is actually a bot. They may have to make sure the bot has a 3rd party program running. If i am hunting in my favorite spots, there are always bots, so i hope the innocent player who is not a bot would not get banned by mistake.
Skelk and young karka in southsun cove, heavy moldy bags in ORR.
Start by trying to gather the most rare ingredient needed for your legendary. (Or farm for the gold needed to buy the ingredient). Then ask yourself if its going to be fun doing that everyday.
Player housing and Guild towns! Lots of new items to play/hunt for! Guild town achievements which earn rare prizes/trophy’s to show off! Consensual guild town wars!
Lots of new armour and armour skins! Many more level 80 new types of gatherable nodes. A beautiful soloable level 80 zone. A new level 80-90 zone And a user friendly, easy dungeon for pugs! (because not everyone thinks extra challenging is fun)
