What about ppl who will sit out matches to lower their MMR, like they get ruby/diamond, 0 pips, and sit 50 games out for low MMR.. what about then?
For example I want to get only to diamond.. I could easily sit out 100-200 match for low MMR in ruby… then go for diamond, what about other ppl, imagine that all would do that? They have the right to do what ever they want in pvp ranked, they sit down, not talking, they even watch mini films, come back, do it 200 times and low MMR

First few matches would be bad yes but not for weeks since it changes after every match.
Example: 100 players play 50 wil gain mmr by winning. The 50 other will remain their mmr the 50 who lost wil get matched vs each other so will the winning 50 it will split by 50 each time and be slowly filled by the lower mmr players winning more matches generating a bigger pool of players. Good players will move through the ranks faster and bad players will have a slower start
I paid in (buying HoT for two accounts ) to have a competitive Mesmer.
ANET just arbitrarily ended that. Apparently, they did it at the behest of the Pro players. On the stream today, both “sunfish” and “rom” complained about Mesmer. Sunfish even went so far as to say he was glad mesmer was gone.
I feel anet disrespected me by selling me HoT then arbitrarily gimping my class into the ground. To add insult to injury it was done to please pro players.
Honestly why would you want to keep this unbalanced kitten learn 2 play other classes and dont blame a net for buying HOT for 2 accounts
Jai instead of exploiters in legend we get mystic forged legends how would any thing like this be balanced/good for matchmaking…

Fact is revenants can quickness stomp on demand mesmers can invul quickness stomp and ress while applying slow to enemy’s plus slow isnt counter able by quickness as slow is stronger. It made it impossible for some comps to kill and for others to ress. Honestly slow on time warp is too strong when used in a outmanned scenario
So on top of 5-10 min que’s you want to wait for people to click more then 2 buttons and introduce a system that will make pvp even more toxic make que’s longer and increase the wait after a que pops good idea they should implement that
You’re clearly one of the minority happy with the system as it is and never complain about the class balance of your team or being matched against pre-mades? or when you find yourself back on the same team as the player who DC’d or Sat in base calling everyone noobs during your last game; because your team was losing after 2 minutes, you don’t mind at all?
Me personally; Yes, I wouldn’t mind waiting a little longer to be able to choose my teammates for a match – 2 minutes extra beforehand as opposed to 10 minutes in an unbalanced game would be time well spent for me.
Ok ill spell this out for you slowly: the higher your mmr the higher your team queue’s i personally have 5-10 min que most of that time i spend sitting on a rock tapping some npc’s to keep myself busy then i come into a match after a 1.30 min timer(after que pops and map selection)just standing there with my thump up my … To play a game with legendary’s that cant rotate fight off point or die to beast to lose a match 500-490 by carrying hard.
Matches take about 12mins avg + que time + pre match time+ map selection + your suggested change would increase the time it takes to play one match to about 1 every half an hour instead of 20 min for each plus your are excluding people wich creates toxicity for no reason while trying to communicate with your to be teammates who might still be kittened and make stupid mistakes your system doesnt fix anything
Listen combo fields are fine and dandy lets take a look at them.
Thief has poison and whatever the pistol 5 field is called
Mesmer has etheral
Warrior has fire
Engie has light lightning fire blinding field and i might have missed one
Ele has frost water fire lightning
Necro has dark
Rev has pretty much only mallyx skills to combo with
Ranger has only water and fire i believe aside from pet skills
Guard has light and fire
Engi and ele would be your best choice as the bring the most fields to the table while being able to keep themselves alive (in the current meta) pretty decently mesmer would be pretty much useless as the boons gained by their chaos armor don’t offset the dmg they take ( mes only has leap as a finisher) I could go on and on but there is just way too much imbalance between classes with lots of fields and the classes that excel at finishing those fields.
Boons would go back to where stab was only one stack and only duration mattered necro’s would be needed to counter said OP boons(they have to be strong to offset for the tanky amulets removal and to make them viable as you could only give yourslef one stack of might while duration does increase on them.
And to come back to your point about a necro being required on a team to help with cc come from as engi’s and ele’s can do a way better job of ccing enemy’s heck even thiefs and mesmers have more cc pressure then a necro

oi, reading all these thief posts is starting to make me regret ever pitying the profession.
What’s there to pity? One of the class that was part of the meta for the longest time, one time that they are meta they cried to make sure Anet puts them right back in it. Now with the damage buff incoming, they cry about stealth for other classes too… Pathetic.
Thief hasn’t been in the meta for the longest time it has been around in the meta and sneaking its way in there with only a few players making the profession actually useful in matchesbut for most average players it has been near impossible to play for the average thief player for over a year. (I have 160+ping so stopped trying to play it in ranked but still play it daily)
Had a kitten engi in a match today who kept using his stealth gyro on point for no good reason (was a 2v1 vs a tank ele (was a 1v1 before that)) our health didnt go down at all point was contested before he got there but because of his stupidity and not knowing how to rotate he ended up at mid then i started noticing that he used his stealth gyro of cd stealthing me for no good reason as my health bar doesn’t move vs a ele i first tell him too leave he doesn’t tell him to stop using his gyro for no reason he keeps using it as it comes off cd i try whispering to make it clear i am talking to me turns out he blocked me for yelling at him for doin the same thing at the start of the season. He would have lost us that match if i hadn’t 3v1’d after he died instantly after getting foccused. Plz next time people abuse a system dont reward them by letting them keep their pips as that kitten engi was clearly a stronghold exploiter as he was legendary with no skill to speak of also remove block list in mayches as it is impossible to communicate with people who have you blocked or dont que me up with players that have me blocked

+ thiefs have only one instant stealths while mesmers have 2 and scrapper having a instant long stealth

Taking from the code the mmr system only takes the average mmr rating of both teams (which have to be within 200 points) while wide making for quick que’s its really bad if you would have checked for personal rank with a diviation between the highest and lowest ranked player on a team that would have been way better, granted since anet hasnt reset the mmr rank at the start of the current system this extra code would have made for very long queues.
In short had this code been added and the mmr reset at the start of the season win loss would have stayed around 50% and matches would have been closer

Fact is matches are very lobsided as stated before. The fact is a “1000” mmr player could carry 4 “500” mmr players but not if those “500” mmr players are just absolutly bad run non meta builds/classes without the skill/determination to fight till the end, then there is also the issue of bad players getting carry’d by others then try to play solo without effect or the players that abuse the system in a way its almost impossible to lose pips (have a friend on a smurf account on the same team and turn off client (another reason why team and solo que should get split up).
a player of average skill is supposed to be stopped in the middle and the fact i would like to see a max pip loss of 1 is because its allmost impossible to gain multiple pips while its way too easy too lose multiple pips only because the system decided it is time to get back to 50% win-loss and from ruby and up its not projected to go up since you can lose tiers and pips
Due to the 50%winloss for every1 solo players will find long loss spree’s are more comon then long win spree’s as the system puts you up vs high mmr players with scrubby/low mmr players just because it wants you too lose, wich causes the toxicity in most matches thus the system should always put you up vs equal /5% diverence max to ensure every match is winnable also they should make piploss 1 max and change it so that only you can affect your own piploss and not your team that way people running non meta builds are only screwing themselfs over instead of the whole team(in term off piploss win/loss wil still be affected by them)
A system that stacks the odds against you isnt fun nor does it show skill in any way + it would make it harder for people to exploit their way up to legend.

I agree its kittened that when you lose thanks to your teammates inability to make the right choices at the right time when in solo que that you should be punished by the system that rigged the game against your favor any way, gaining a extra pip for a win streak in the next season is all fine and good but you will still lose pips thx to your teammates being bad

Ew, no. I don’t see how this gives solo players a more reasonable chance to reach a higher tier. That problem isn’t really a result of division structure, but the lack of soloq vs teamq.
This is already the case in ruby
When people complain about rank doesnt = skill they are right any player can if they are dedicated enough reach at least ruby within ruby there are people who are skilled but are screwed over as solo queuers get kittened over as they get a higher mmr or matched up vs premades so rank doesnt = skill but it does = dedication
as a thief you can hardly ever backcap either they have some 1 at their home who thieves cant beat or there is some1 close by enough to prevent the decap in the 50+ games i played during this season i haven’t seen a single thief decap.
in fact when i am protecting home i can usually just tank their dmg even in 2v1’s with only 175 toughnessI see thieves decap all the time. Heck I decap as a thief all the time. I’ll often just decap, bolt immediately after, then grab the point they just left undefended, join the fight they just left. Very occasionally, I need to wait for them to dodge off the point to get the last tick of decap, THEN I run away, but sometimes I just kill them and get a full cap. Capping takes 10 ticks, decapping even if you choose not to fight, you’ve basically locked that player in place for 10 ticks.
Honestly you guys keep pulling stuff outa your kitten honestly if you can force a player off point on a thief you are fighting very low ranked players even the most glassy builds can just outheal and dodge most of their attacks people have been saying thief died since hot came out fact is they have been dead for a long time siriously when is the last time a solo thief got you below 50% and having a player sit on home is a hard counter to any thief on the opposing team and it doesnt matter a player is basicly afk there since its still a 4v4 since thiefs die to random aoe on points other then far

Neither too narrow
Down state have its place in pvp but there should be some changes.
- Killing downed player should ress only one person not everyone who hit him
- Ressing speed should not be affected by Quickness or any other way
- Ressing speed must be slower while ressing invulnerable or in stealth
- All classes should have simillar posibilities while downed. Stuff like mist form, teleport or revenge ar too superior to others. Also ranger pet what is capable of overheal damage of multiple ppl should not have place in competetive gameplay.
Except for the last point i agree ranger downed 3 doesnt come up in time anymore+you shouldnt be stomping rangers without stab or move in untill after they used their stun the slow and knockback from revenant is way too OP however
