Recently I’ve noticed that when I have my sword equipped and zone, I end up with my scepter and focus after completing the zoning.
I am not happy to have my weapons change over without my doing it myself. If i wanted my scepter and focus out, I would have equipped them. But to have my sword equipped when I step into the zone and end up with my scepter and focus equipped at the other end, is not what I want.
Why do these weapons keep swapping like that whenever I zone somewhere?
Bugged reported several times in-game, but so far I have not even received a reply. Obviously, its not been fixed either.
Two screen shots, 1 just before stepping into the portal and the other after getting out at the other end.
I timed it. It took an entire minute before I was able to log into just the character select screen. What is going on?
I had hoped the delays in login and loading screens had been fixed by now…apparently not.
Issues where the search engine would randomly return 0 results instead of real results have been fixed.
No, this is NOT fixed. I have been attempting to search different topics and I get zero return for any of my searches.

I have been attempting to find certain topics, but for some reason the search function does not seem to be working. It appears to be grayed out and I do not see it loading anything.
Seems like a mess to me.
I still have been receiving these even though the event is completed. They drop out of mob chests, loot from mobs, and those jp chests as well. The only thing they are good for now are vendoring…but I would rather have something I can use rather than these silly tokens.
Bah….tired of this same old scenario ….every time there is a patch or update, we get long loading screens. I think I’ll go play another game for a bit.

Ever since I logged in this morning, every single loading screen has been delayed. The longest was in the Divinity’s Reach when I ported into the festivities area…that lasted about 30-45 seconds. And the one to the mists lasted 15 seconds.
I just took the balloon ride from Caeladon Forest to DR and that loading screen was fairly short, but every other one has been delayed longer than normal.
What is going on? Then when I tried to leave the platform from the Balloon landing area my game client lost connection to the game.
Some major problems still with loading screens…I really am getting tired of this happening every single patch.

Today I was fighting a veteran Marsh Drake in Akk Wilds near the waterfall in Metrica Provence. Problem occurred in the middle of the fight where he became “Obstructed” for no reason.
He was not inside, behind or under anything but he became impossible to fight. None of my talents could damage him once this happened and shortly after this screen shot he turned around and ran back to the water fall with full health.
As you can see by the screen shot, I had a clear view of him and nothing was in the way that I could see. So why did this happen? I think there is a problem here that needs to be fixed.
I had a similar problem with a Microsoft mouse a few months back. I discovered the mouse was defective and was able to get it replaced.
But it is hard to trouble shoot that unless you use the same mouse and functions identically in another game. What I saw was a similar movement issue in the other games..that is how I figured I had a defective mouse.
Hope they can help you. I use both mouse buttons depressed to move in GW2…I’ve never gotten the wsad movement figured out. It is very awkward for me.
While doing my daily veteran killer in Metrica province, I got stuck inside the environment when I dodged. I submitted an in-game bug with a screen shot from inside that item but since you can only submit one screen shot with those reports, I was unable to also submit one from the outside looking at the item I fell into.
Attached is a screen shot of the location near Akk falls where the vet drake is located, and inside my red circle you can see a mound with a dead tree sticking out of it. That has a hole in the top somewhere because I dodged in that direction from the side of it and landed up inside the mound.
I’ve fallen through that once before about a month ago and submitted a bug report then as well…but it appears this particular mound has not been fixed.
It is most annoying because the only way out of it is to Way Point out. I really think this game needs a /stuck command in order to move you back out of where ever you get stuck and cannot get out.

I was running through Southsun earlier this evening when I spotted a kite basket on the beach just north of the Pearl Islet location. I rounded the curve and ran right into a reef drake. I was able to defeat that one, but did not see the other two show up until it was too late. I managed to get the second one down but was defeated by the third one while he had a sliver of health left.
As I was getting ready to way point, I noticed one of those brown chests on the ground just as the first reef drake’s body disappeared. I way pointed out quickly and came back around for my loot, only to find it gone.
Why does this happen? I rarely get these chests anymore but when I do I appreciate the drop. I feel that the item or loot should remain there for more than a minute so that if I am defeated before I can loot, I still have a chance to get it as long as I don’t have to run all the way across the map.
In this case I was just around the bend from the beach at the Pearl Islet way point and it did not take me that long to get back down to that spot. Even the loot bags from the kite basked were gone. I had just clicked on the interact button when I got attacked so did not have time to pick up the bags yet. I figured I could defeat that drake with enough time to still loot them.
This problem is a real disappointment. Why doesn’t loot stay longer? Its similar to the feeling you get as you die in WvWvW and see all those bags on the ground you cannot pick up because you cannot interact with anything in the defeated position.
I look at this as a bug but since I’ve not seen any response yet, it is only my personal assumption.

All of this is so confusing.
Yes, gears/weapons with runes/sigils on the TP are looted, thus can be sold. Anything you craft will be rune-free, and if you apply any on it, it will soulbind to you.
You have the choice of:
1) Applying an upgrade to it, soulbinding it to the character
2) Moving it to an alt before applying an upgrade
2) Keep the item upgrade-free and sell itIf you can’t do anything with it, you can always throw 4 exotic gear in the mystic forge for a new one that you can sell.
Ah the mystic forge…forgot about that lottery. Thanks for reminding me. 
StinVec.3621 – thank you very much for your kind offer. I do appreciate it. However, I will just work around this. I think by salvaging it I can at least recover some of my mats if not all of them….and I also have a stack of some things that I was able to use…only purchased one item I needed for that piece but that is ok.
Now that I know what to watch out for I can adjust. I just wish the crafting in GW2 was more viable than it currently is. I just cannot justify crafting when drops are more valuable than crafted items in the first place. I was just putting a different rune in the gloves than I saw anyone else use thinking someone could really use that combination…but alas, no go on it.
As for the lack of pop up…just let me say that I’ve run into several bugs in this game that really should not be there. I do not know what the game managers decide to spend the resources on but I think they need to beef up their teams to make better use of their time. Having decent software is a start as it would free up the devs from having to ask players for input when they could just run a report and get the details they need.
Well, I did not have the rune to add during crafting…I was not aware of the difference. Since I am not a crafter I was under the impression that I could add the rune after crafting and have it work without the soulbound problem. Obviously I am wrong.
Why is this such a complicated issue? I sometimes do not have to purchase a rune for items I buy on the TP because they already have a rune in them. This is extremely confusing.
In this particular case, I never got a pop up warning that adding a rune after I crafted an item telling me it would be soulbound is the problem I faced. I cannot prove this happened, therefore, I am out of luck with this situation.
I do not like this…it really needs to be revisited by the devs and reviewed. I think a lot of folks like me who do not craft often just are not able to discern when to use an upgrade and when not to. Especially if we end up with something that we would like to sell.
After all, it took a lot of expensive mats to create and to have this happen is frustrating to say the least.

Ok, guess I am out of luck then. Darned, I really hate the way some of this stuff works…or not works. I am not happy about this problem, especially since there does not appear to be any behind the scenes software you all run to keep tabs on things like this.
I see you all asking players for information on things that a, behind the scenes, software should be able to track easily for you. It would save you all time and effort, as well as prevent conflicts if you have proof to show.
Well, thank you for addressing this in such a timely manner. I do not shoot the messenger for delivering the message… 
….but it looks like the item description is not correctly updating.
Just maybe this is related to my not getting that popup?
If it did not update then it is reasonable to assume the pop up did not work either.

Well that pop up did NOT happen for me. I cannot help it if I did not get it. I know that you probably test all these incidents, but for crying out loud, why can’t you have something in place to actually see what happens when someone else does not get the same results?
I did not get that pop up at all. Now stuck with gloves I cannot use. This needs to be fixed. I don’t craft as a rule so did not remember this little piece of information or I would never have done it to begin with.

Applying a rune or other upgrade to an item soulbinds it. There’s a warning popup when you apply the rune, but it looks like the item description is not correctly updating.
Well, that certainly needs to be fixed. I never got a pop up telling me anything. The rune just got attached and nothing stopped it to tell me it would be soulbound once it was done.
Now I am stuck with a pair of gloves I cannot use. Someone else could have used these. If only I had gotten that notice to begin with, I would not have added that rune, but sold the gloves without it.

I have just made gloves: Apothecary’s Exulted Gloves of the Undead. Mousing over them it says they are soulbound upon use…but for some reason I cannot get them to show up in the TP to sell.

i want to report two bugs.
First one is in WvW eternal battlegronds. Underworld EU server.
Near the tower Durios you got a pack of wolves 1 is a veteran wolf.
I noticed when i was standing on a wall in durios that they walked straight true the wall (the wall that can be destroyed) up the stairs and attacked the archer and some other players standing there.
I wonder, if the wolves can do it, might not enemy players also be able to do that? Would be nice to see if that happens.

Also, I’m not being kind, I’m doing this out of interest for my poor eyes: please stop wearing that pathetic ugly starter armor in Sanctum Sprint & Keg Brawl.
Hmmmm… I’ve never participated in the Keg Brawl and only did the Sanctum Sprint once because I wanted those crystals. But I did not even finish the race as I kept getting bounced back to the starting line before I got to the finish line.
I do have to agree that a lot of the gear I see in the game is truly horrendous. I really like some of the heavy gear that has recently been making an appearance but I can’t transmute that to light armor.
If I could transmute the pvp gear onto my pve stuff, I certainly would do it. So much of the armor in this game makes my eyes bleed….wooooo… I can really relate to your comments on that.

heheeh…I really do enjoy just meandering through this game. I enjoy the free style combat but am not impressed with pvp. That just is not my interest even though I know a lot of folks like it…it just is not for me.
But, you said use the skin ??? can I really transmute the pvp skin onto a pvp item? Now that would be wonderful…I’ll have to check that out.
Also, I had no idea there were special salvage kits available…nice to know that.
I wondered about this. I thought perhaps this race was fixed…
so I just meandered through it. However, every time I tried to get to the finish line, I kept getting bounced back through a cut scene then to the starting line over and over again.
Never made it to the finish line at all. Wonder what it looks like…would be nice if the game allowed those of us who just wander through to see it all to actually get through even though we don’t win the race.
I am glad I saw this before I tried to finish my Rata Sum map area on my new alts. I completed this on only two of my characters without issue. Also wanted to go back for the diving goggles achievement there.
However, because this still is not working (I did check out that link you provided) according to the posters on that other thread, I shall wait to see if it gets fixed.

SPvP gear is bound to your character to keep you from selling it to other people. This 100% makes sense. To put it on another character deposit it, it will appear in your SPvP locker. Now go to the locker in the mists on whatever character you want to wear that item on and withdraw it and equip it.
Next time take the 5 seconds and just ask somebody in your guild or in LA b4 you QQ the boards.
I would have had someone been available but no one was who could explain this. So I knew I would receive comments here if I just posted.

I remember someone saying something about a gear locker but I was not really paying attention to it. I knew that if I went to one of those lockers I could actually see how any of the gear looked on my characters.

I don’t see how this makes money for Anet one way or another. If there was a “un-soulbind” item in the gem shop, then the money making argument would have merit.
I don’t know what it is. Either poor foresight or uncaring. I agree it’s pretty stupid that you open those achievement chests and get nothing you can actually use.
When I said that $$ remark, I was thinking about all the stuff for sale in the TP you purchase with gems. Unless you have accumulated sufficient in-game gold, most folks use RL money to purchase gems.
I sent all those items to “deposit collectables” but cannot find them in my collections anywhere in my bank. So where did they go?

Ok, got back in and tried that…thanks. But it still does not address my initial question. I would love to be able to use these silly things but I can’t. Seems mighty unfair that pve’rs can’t use anything pvp unless they pvp. Most of us don’t pvp.
Waste as far as I can see. It would make more sense if we got “tickets” for our choice.

I opened my 2nd chest today and I received 6 soulbound PVP rewards… I CAN’T use any of these.
Why on earth can’t we at least get something that can be used if we do not pvp? Why only pvp option and not pve?
I can’t tell you how many pvp soulbound items I have received and cannot use. Most cannot even be salvaged, let alone sold on the TP. It appears I cannot even put them into the Mystic Forge as only one of them is allowed but none of them together.
I do wish Anet would adjust this issue. It’s fine for folks who like to pvp, but I do not, and don’t ever plan to.
Wait, how much goes to NC Soft and how much goes to Anet? I’ll spend my money on a bouncy castle instead if it’s going to NC Soft and not Anet. A certain lady probably opened a new bank account when she read the OP’s title

Arena Net needs to watch this. You can literally do nothing wrong in this dungeon they set up and get killed for it. most of the stuff you have to avoid is cheep and memorization, not actual visual ques. Watch this and tell me how much arena net gets this so wrong with this dungeon and so right with molten facility.
Great video. Classic options that seem to be somewhat missing in GW2.
I think this dungeon has a high degree of frustration intolerance.
As people wipe on dungeons, their abilities to play becomes somewhat diminished. Folks who are spending three or four hours and stuck at one thing might be better served to take a break and come back tomorrow with a fresh set of eyes – I don’t think it’s a lack of skill, but rather, if even one person in your group becomes vastly frustrated, I think it’s much harder to concentrate and do well as a whole.
I keep asking myself, why can’t we have a locked dungeon to the point we complete so we can come back in and go the next round? In GW2 none of the dungeon content stays locked if you want to stop midway due to time constraints and missed RL deadlines, and come back the next day to finish up.
I remember other games having this type of setup. Same dungeon group having that particular instance locked to them in order to come back in at the stop point and continue on to finish.
I add this wish to my other wish that there would be dungeon options: easy, medium, hard, nightmare modes. Not to mention raids…… but I won’t go there. It has been stated clearly that this is not going to happen in GW2.

Yes, very annoying. I was playing my Ranger when I experienced this.
I had this happen yesterday. I was asking questions in chat and after about the 4th question, I got this suppression issue.
I was not saying the same thing in any of the chats…but apparently when someone asked me for more precise info, my answer was suppressed.
Can’t figure out why?
I will agree that the bosses can take a long time to kill…. when you are the only one alive in your party.
hahah kitten , that ranger owned every complainer here. Very nice to see that a ranger did this.
It would be interesting to know where he was located and what build he was running to accomplish this feat. Amazing ranger in my opinion. I run a ranger but have no where near the skill setup to do this. And, yes, I am not that skilled a player, but I can admire one.
Skill up. This dungeon isn’t easy but it’s not impossible either.
Cannon phase is long though. Makes it more hard because of endurance than skill.
From what I can tell, running a marathon around and around the room takes no skill what so ever. Why this was setup this way is beyond me.

3 changes:
Improve the box models in Frizz’s encounter. Right now, it’s not really clear whether you’re standing on top of the boxes or not.
Choose a darker texture for the floor in the final boss encounter. From many viewpoints, it is very difficult to see those red rings on the floor. A darker texture would improve contrast, and make them easier to see.
Make the final boss fight shorter. Ye gods, is that thing is tedious.
I think these suggestions make a lot of sense. The problem with “red” circles for color blind folks has not been addressed very well. If you cannot see the color “Red,” at least make the circles pulsate in some manner that indicates they are a “red” zone.

I have experienced the inability to utilize the Black Lion Trading Post for selling or purchasing period. I logged in several hours ago and although I can play the game without issue, I can’t sell or purchase anything from the trading post.
I’ve reported this issue in the game via the bug report so hopefully someone will get this fixed before too long.
