yep if you think the explorable dungeons are too hard then you should just stick to story. That is why story is there
No offense but you are just a typical poster who makes statements of solely your opinion and tries to make himself more profound by making it sound as though loads of people share you sediment.
So 2 things you should keep in mind
-when you post you speak for yourself only
-never assume you know the thought of anyone else not even your best friend who probably agrees with you just to get you to shut up so he can enjoy the game
Wow and I use that term on purpose, not surprisingly people still have that run in and kill the mob before everyone dies mentality
Instead of worrying about how the dungeon is set up try to actually learn the encounters and make adjustments
Exactly, when the process of the Legendary Weapon came out I was the minority in saying good, I’m glad that it is this way.
Way I look at it is I WvW for fun and to help my server to do well on the maps and win. I don’t do it for badges, but the biproduct is I get badges. I am not grinding badges I am doing an activity I enjoy and I get the badges for doing it.
I don’t do world events for Karma, I enjoy them and I just so happen to get Karma too
Sure you have some grinding in this game and I’m glad. For the last 8 years most of us have been playing My Little Pony online afaic. All easy games, easy combat, easy rewards, easy dungeons, easy money. No accomplishments
Now I have goals, those goals could take me 6 months, but there are goals. I am happy with some grinds and I’m glad people can’t have the best of everything in a month
It like when I first see a completed epic I will be like I know what you went through nice work. Not envy, just a little push
But what people understand it is a little bit at a time. I go on in the morning and my goal is to get supplys to make 4 items sometimes I get enough for 4 sometimes I get enough for 1 but I have all the time in the world
There are no major or gamebreaking flaws
There are some bugs in some explorable paths of dungeons, which I’m sure will work its way out, but there are not blocks no gamebreaking things that stop your story or progress, and unless you are an absolute completionist you won’t even see 99% of the bugs that exist
It is always about direction AN is going on the correct path right now if they continue to this game will be around for a long long time
I would say the levelling process was very polished and where most games start slacking off is post 80 they are a ton better then what we saw from games in the last 7 years or more
It would depend as to whether or not you intent to craft. If you arent crafting I would sell everything to the vendor, if you are crafting I would break everything down needed for that profession. If you are a tailor break light armor and rags etc
If you plan on doing multiple professions or even all I would break everything
Once you get in the 70-80 range I would suggest breaking oranges and yellows (if they arent upgrades) even if you arent crafting
It sounds as though your pretty low level.
Gathering-sickles, axes, and picks with gather the world items. Herb fruit and veggies are represented by a green plant on the map, logs are represented by a pile of logs on the map and mining nodes are represented by a grey rock on the map. You must have the gather tools equipt and you will get a message when near it like mine or chop
Vista are activated by when you get close to one you will get a message say View, when you view it you will get the credit for it.
Spvp is activated through you hero tab, last item on the left and the tab will show go to the heart of the mists from there you can go to an NPC and get into a battle
WvW is the castle or chess rook button at the top left side of the screen.
Also when you initially get the guild wars program screen to the right it has a link to an online guide. Perhaps you should glance through that as well
I wish I knew. Besides not computer controlled mobs ie guards etc the only time I get badges is individual kills and finishes, maybe there is an explaination, but it is beyond me.
For example you can AoE an area of guys trying to take a point but if those same people are being hit by arrow carts chances are you won’t see any bags cause the carts are doing more damage then you
It seems to work just like events if you are lets say 1 of 20 people defending a point you have to do significant damage to get credit for kills. It seems to work the same way.
I go for individual kills most of the time in WvW and that seems to have better results
You need all PvE areas and WvW areas for the world completion
However even with all the hearts, vistas, PoIs, and skill challenges you will not achieve 100% for that you will need to start looking for areas on individual maps off the beaten path. You can use your explorer tab to see what areas you are missing
I don’t know the max number but there is one. 100 people for example will not cap faster then 10 (just made up numbers there) but muliple people will cap faster then 1
WvW armor is your pve armor
Yea this is pretty despicable to say the least. The purpose from the tri server matches is to insure better stability, not to be exploited because of a 2 server alliance.
Its like kill trading
that was it thanks all
Well the solution should be apparent after yesterday or if not I will shed hopefully the reason why it is not an issue.
Your server’s position will stagger
In the beginning every single solitary day our server was the blue server and I thought the same thing there will be no way I will ever get the EB points because they never seemed to change hands, at least when I was on.
Yesterday my server was in the green position, so it was very easy to get those points yesterday. Lucky enough for me we took out red early morning and I got the red points as well, but I imagine you will see times where you are in all 3 positions which will allieve the issue
You can do a set of explorer based armor plus the om bar and it gets pretty sick
Once I get some more money I will see what the absolute max possible is.
Well you will want to be looking for a short bow, not a long bow. Short bow is the best weapon for a ranger. Also keep in mind your overall damage, which I am sure you know, is derived from not only weapon damage but overall stats, jewelry and build, so take alook at all of that as well
I would think, having played a ranger solely in beta that you will want shortbow-axe +warhorn setup. A more experience ranger please crrect me if I am wrong
Well that will be my first stop when I get home hopefully that is it thanks
I’m not even sure I know where that is? You mean the order of whispers HQ? in bloodfin?
There isn’t going to be a solution now that will be satisfactory plain and simple
I always believed in time segregated servers and those servers were locked to those in those areas, but it never happened
This issue goes all the way back to EQ really and probably before. I remember we had one Asia based guild on our server who locked alot of world contested mobs simply because they killed them in their timeframe and then they repopped in their timeframe when everyone else was asleep
I wish I had an answer.
I don’t agree. There are certain combinations on gear that if they existed every single person would use it
This game is all about trying to balance your character the best you can
Sacrificing damage for survivability as an example
Putting 30 points in your toughness tree means not getting either high damage or high vitality
But, imo, therein lies the beauty of the system
You have to tailor your character to find the right fit
First off your highest level is 25 thats the first issue
Second there is a healing class even though people disagree and that is a water based elementalist
Sure it isnt your true “cleric” type class but it does a great job with outgoing heals and the higher they are the better they are
When I first played this game and in betas I thought for certain that I just sucked
But playing through a character start to finish you just get the combat you get the dodging etc
So by all means dont stop at 25. If you finish a character to 80 and still feel you are bad then stop by all means but making these statements at 25, you just simply arent giving the game, or more importantly yourself a chance
I rec’d a spam mail this morning from a gold selling site. However my only option was to delete the mail. I couldn’t do a report or an ignore, so I would really like that option so we can weed this people out better
I am a little miffed by this as well. I would think in a game where appearance means so much and so much was put into different item and looks that this would have certainly been a feature.
This morning I finished off Eternal Battlegrounds and got the stuff for the completion and I thought I would be getting 2 chests, the second being for 100% world completion.
I open up my map to see I am missing 1 PoI. Ok not a problem I double check the other 3 WvW areas all done. Then I went to every zone to double check I had every zone at 100% (which I do)
So I am stumped at this point
The 2 areas I was thinking of is:
There is an island SW of Lion’s Arch which I was trying to swim to this morning to no avail, could that be it?
The only other thing I can think of that I have yet to go to is
The dungeon area beneath Eternal Battlegrounds which I will be going to when I get home from work
Is there any other out of the way or unique PoI that anyone can think of?
I really like figuring out things for myself but man being so close I can’t wait to know where it is
Please do not charge us to "relearn" professions when we reach 400 in crafting.

I’m not sure about the cost I havent done this yet but he has 3 400s and he says switching from one 400 to the 2nd is actually 40 s dont hold me to that but the lower you are in progress the cheaper it is. I did 72 or something artifice and it was free to swap out of that to pick up jewelry and it was free to go from a 400 craft to a 0 craft but I think it scales with progress
From my experience it has been around 7pm EST and dailies reset at 8pm EST
Is that Dusk? I’m not positive but I have seen that as well
Just keep in mine to get 100% you need all the WvW as well, which is pretty hard to do cause you have to take about 15 or so points to get the pois. I sit at 99% needing about 15 things in eternal battlegrounds and most of that stuff so far never changes hands therefore I havent been able to complete
I haven’t heard of any decent loot coming from chests. I have done all the most difficult ones already and I gotten at best blues. The malchor’s leap gem one I thought for sure would be good cause that was a real pain, but alas nothing of note
People laugh at me when I tell them how I do jumping puzzles, but I do the polar opposite of how I play the game. I use the directional keys with my left hand and cross over my right onto the spacebar and I take my time. I don’t know if that is from my arcade game days or what but that’s the way I do it.
I also pan my camera alot to see when ledges end especially for big jumps because some you really have to jump at the very last second
And btw for general information I have yet to come across a jump that required a speed boost to make so thats nice
I don’t think anyone can answer that for you tbh. If whatever it was that lead you to the engineer, I don’t think you are going to find, which maybe good, but they are the most unique GW2 class imo. I play mesmer and elementalist and I love the mesmer personally but it depends what your main goal is and how effective you want t be doing it.
The ranger is the default class. It is the easiest to play and is w/o question the class that easily can be useful in all phases of the game. Elementalist can be too with a water base build. But I just think the mesmer class is the most fun I have had playing a toon for a long time
I’m done you had to have not completed a zone. The only ones that count are pve zones
All I see if we think we have the correct recipe and we think the calculation for the randomness of the mystic clover is correct
How about you find out if the recipe is correct first and how about you find out how many clovers you get with a certain number of combines
Then compare it to the other legedary recipes and what they have to do to get theirs
After all that is done then perhaps there may be a legitamate complaint behind the whole thing
But really in a game where just about everything you do gains karma and the fact that you are talking about what is called a legendary weapon, seeing that it would take a few months to get, I don’t really see an issue
And I don’t see it as a grind either. I don’t do events for Karma and I don’t do wvw for Karma I do those because I enjoy doing them so that is not a grind.
I’m sorry you don’t have your epic 2 weeks after the games was released though
Durmand Priory, The Vigil and the Order of Whispers - Whats the difference?
Posted by: mangarrage.1062
The only difference really is you can buy Priory Armor and you will not have access to the other 2 orders armor, but with the armor being pretty much the same and all types are available on each vendor it makes no difference at all.
it is one mission. It is against a major dragon. I was actually surprised it was a 5 man and not a huge open world event that required a raid sized party
I personally do not see the point. The game is supposed to be scaled level by level. Doing stories 5 or 10 levels above the mobs what would be the point?
So an 80 could do a story meant for a level 40 at 80 and fight level 40 mobs? I don’t see why anyone would want this
how refreshing this game is for me. I could honestly write a book of what is in this game. The playstyle of this game and how it is so refreshly different and exciting to play.
Sure there are hiccups, but I am always amazed at certain things everyday. I have put quite a few hours into this game. I’m over 200 hours and I still find things which I just cannot believe.
Coming from a predominant pay per month game background and playing in this genre pretty much since there was this genre, I can say this is is so far superior in just about everyway any 2nd gen game I have ever played.
The exploration, the underwater graphics, the dynamic events, the scaling levels, the puzzles, the extras like Keg Brawl, the muliple pvp options (Spvp, Tpvp, or wvw), the story which btw I found alot more interesting and much more fun then that other game who made it its cornerstore feature.
I honestly think the only thing I feel is missing is a larger group possibility for WvW, it would just make it alot better to organize guilds and alliances
But honestly considering I sit at 99% world completion and crafted my exotic armor and I still am finding little things to poke my head in that I didn’t see before.
I havent had a feeling like this about a game since Everquest and I played that for almost 8 years.
So refreshing to see how much quality got packed into this game because what we have seen for quite awhile now in this genre is one horrible fail after another and this is an all out win
Every game has this same thread from a wow player. And even the creators of the arena in that game said it was a mistake.
Arena based pvp is the worst possible implementation or representation of pvp ever created. The tournament pvp is far and away a better model
Sooner or later you’ll want rating too
Hopefully this mindset of stacking op classes to feel superior will go away, I doubt it, but wouldnt it be nice
The only thing I wish that was separated out is really the WvW. For 100% you must get everything in every PvE area and everything on every map in WvW. 100% is very difficult. May be a little easier when they implement the 2 week system and you can slowly try to take over other areas, but so far Eternal Battlegrounds has pretty much stayed relatively the same in our server matchups
But vistas idk I think there has been maybe 3 or 4 that were difficult. And don’t worry there will be videos for everything soon enough so no one actually will have to figure out anything
Don’t limit yourself to one area at 40-43 you have Hrathi Highlands, Drenaught Cliffs (sp) and Blazenridge Steps. I actually at 40 did Hrathi which is a 35-45 zone, then I moved to a 40-50 zone
And there is alot more to do in a zone then quest hub ie hearts
funny post. one guy says 2 commander at a time one guy says 5 one says 6 lol
There should be no more then 2 commanders per map. I dont know what the max number is, as is shown most people don’t either lol
But I do agree that the number should be limited as far as zones go. Not so much from the confusion too many will create, but also in the fact that basically anyone can be a commander, and from what I’ve seen in these opening weeks about 99% of the people trying to bark out comments in zone chat really do not get the basics of WvW play
