This isnt a ability bug or anything, but the 100% exploration symbol apparently is visible to enemies therefore the main function of the class which is deception is easily noticable. This is pretty huge in spvp and wvw especially in downed state.

So could we either get a toggle to show/hide this or remove this from our character

Well with so few matches being interesting at all a 2 week match is completely pointless. I can’t imagine get doored in the 1st 48 then having no reason to play for 12 days

Would have to say that I do not find it a gold sink at all though. I gained almost 4g this weekend and I died quite a bit

DB queues are really bad Friday nights obviously if you’re not on for reset and I have seen short queues on the weekend as well.
Saturday early evening into night is bad as well. I didnt see a que on Sunday that was very long and during the week I don’t think queues are any factor

That is exactly what I expect from sPvP as well. It only really took one beta to realize if you brought x group you would be fine. I havent played a single match since week one and my class is part of that x group.

I expect it to wind up being close now that we have to worry about 2 shifts rather then one.

Sorry stsickness but you must be joking or you are not in WvW. From the time it started to right this second fa and bg have been against us. So blantently so its pathetic

The icing on the cake which was hilarious btw. Is we broke fa outer door to the bay keep get through the door and low and behold 40 bg standing on the right bridge inside. That force could have easily taken the bay but instead you do not attack fa even though youre in their keep you attack us once we get through the door. kinda funny actually

I actually have no animosities at all about FA I think they are solid and a good match for us tbh, but bg is horrid. exploits by a ton of you guys on citadel on db map not once twice three times but 4. It was just sad
20min later we took it back and guess what we knew the exploit and not one person who took that keep used it. We battered down that door and took it legitamately

The only time at all the whole weekend I see bg do anything to fa is overnight when one zerg guild just goes and tries to turn as many thing blue as possible.

I actually feel bad for FA tbh you ally with them and then backstab them overnight yet they continue to ally with you.
I don’t know why they are playing for 3rd but whatever

Sorry to disagree here but this is not correct about Orr. I farm Orr everyday 2x a day and never hit any cap. I start at the top work my way all the way south, across the river then all the way north. DR has not once affected me at any point. I have received yellows in the beginning middle and end

The reason why you see so many posts about don’t stand in one place and do the same dynamic event is because that is how you get hit with DR.

A perfect example is I started working on my slayer tab. So I go to kill Sons of Sanir (or wth they are called) there is a small event (3 stages) that pops very often. About 1/2 way through the 2nd time 2nd event I get hit with it

And that is the way DR works and to me it is working as intended and is working correctly

There is no questing, no quest hubs, nothing having to do with questing in the game

Nothing is trying to fulfil a questing need or substitute for questing, because there is no questing
You like many others are preprogrammed from previous games that used questing as the main source of experience needed to level
Your thought process is flawed because you are trying to come up with some relationship between what they do in GW2 and questing.

Well the thing you should be looking at is ttk vs mf

If you are sporting 200 mf how much slower are you killing mobs then in your full reg armor and just using food
I think you’d find that lets say in cursed shore time 100 mobs with and w/o magic find

In essence what the theory is having killed more mobs also increases the opportunity to get rarer drops

I really hope that we can see a balancing of the servers right now i really hate how there are 4 strong servers and that always screws over 5th and 6th place. Hopefully I will be surprised and DB and IOJ are able to put up a strong fight. I am already expecting both servers to focus on us and that would be fun to play against if it is actually carried out.

The only way you will beat us is if you take 30% of the map while we are asleep, worked for jq, so I expect the same thing from you.

Although you could be absolutely correct on the match up, you may be incorrect on one server. After week one there were servers that jumped ~6 spots. The 7,8,9 winner may be 3 and jq 2
Obviously after weeks and weeks of stats you wont see alot of changes to the 1st set of matchups but remember small data leads to very wide variety

Wll I am one that things every single thing obtained on a character should be character bound. I understand the crafting mats and banks because it just eliminated all the mailing back and forth. But token commander tages, crystals, stones or whatever that is obtained my a character should only be for that character account bound stuff is ridiculous.

The game is not made to be played by people standing in one spot aoeing the same mobs for hours upon end with 40 other people including bots
The CoF path should not have been made so ridiculously easy that people could do 10min sleep runs over and over again
The risen grubs should not have had loot or he shouldve thrown only one wave of them, and people should not have purposely just sat there and killed grubs for 30 min or so for drops (and even I did this 2x)
Sure there was some flaws in the designs of some things and they are taking steps to adjust those things.
Combatting bots is just a minor reason behind the DR
Fact is that alot of players will purposely look for ways to do things to get the most things possible in the shortest time regardless of what that means.
The DR will really only effect those that do the above mentioned things

And that is why I asked specifically what is it you do that the DR directly effects you. Of the things you listed as our problems, dr affects none of those things

I play everyday, in fact I probably play too much, and I can tell you the DR does not effect my gameplay one bit

Now lets flip it around a little. Let’s say they add 100 mobs to the CoF path, or the grubs actually drop loot but they have 25x the amount of hitpoints. Or dynamic events only popped at a spot 1x an hour. What do you think the reaction would’ve been. Endless threads of complaining as well

It is not what I would consider and perfect and permanent solution, but it isn’t an iota of how people are reacting to it

Try doing a dungeon in EQ with 2 enchanters a rogue and 2 magicians
Obviously I could pick just about any game here but eq probably has more direct comp classes

The easiest way to understand is basically understand WoW. It started out as a great game and with every single expansion they just started giving stuff away to players, with every expansion the players got more and it was easier to obtain things. Now it started out in BC with some minor things like being able to get HW pvp with minimal effort and get the same items people literally played months to get up to the absolute disgrace of WotLK where they basically handed people the best armor from the past expansion for just running dungeons which people could do in their sleep. I mean stuff that raiders spent months to get

So now they are all used to getting stuff for doing next to nothing. And they are preprogrammed to expect it, or be entitled to it.
Everything has to be like it because they don’t have any idea what anything else was like.
They have pretty much plagued every game with their whine posts. And sadly alot of gaming companies cave into them because they are a large subsection of the marketplace. And games become easier, people lose interest in them and games fail. All you have to do is look at gaming history. It is so apparent.

And look at the last past notes. Take out the dungeon changes and how many “changed difficulty” do you see.
And you know what the dungeon changes are the best, but look at the dungeon section and see all the complaints.
Why? because cof was an absolute snoozefest easy mode which people were running constantly, now it got changed and they cant get the same rewards for minimal effort and hence the complaints
It is sad even after 7 years of them I still can’t believe some of their posts

The reaction time to a surprise attack on a point increases by a huge amount which would ruins it and that is just one example.

You call pansy gamers, but you just admitted that half our server gave up after one night of fighting. Granted it really sucked none of us could log on for an hour that night, but you can’t call out someone else after saying you gave up..

Acquiring an entire servers help to fight another server 2 vs 1 and realizing that 10 hours of time is taken apart in 4 is a huge difference. I still played on day 2 in the morning and night and what happened when I woke up Sunday, it was almost 80/10/10. That isn’t being a pansy that is being realistic. Beating people during prime time is all well and good but the hours when most of us don’t play is when the match gets decided
Going to a keep with basically everyone that was on the map only to see that we were completely outnumbered by jq and yet we had a queue for the map, again isnt being a pansy.
Taking any time at all taking points serves 0 purpose.

I dont think CD is bad at all. I actually want to have them again without the super zerg factor
The first wek matchup was the same we dominated but really when your up there is a point that serves no purpose.
I want a dogfight. I want to be interested. I want to play everynight. We’ll see next week I can tell you without question if it is a competition we will be there every night. If it has purpose we will be there every night. We want to be there every night

There is no reason at all for 2 week at this point. We really have had 2 weeks really with their matchup system. The matchup system although even with tons of data isnt perfect, it will make week long and 2 week long matches viable. Right now because of the small data size in week 2 some servers jumped too much and some servers dropped too far. It should be better next week I would think and going forward

As far as the self balancing system I didnt see that either week.
week one we dominated but we took 3 off the map before 2 then dealt with 2 when we needed to. This week 2 attacked 3 and 1 and 3 attacked 2 and 1 and thats how it should be

I mean we are getting drummed by jq and we arent allying with anyone. Let the zergs fight the zergs.

I don’t understand. The whole concept is not to allows have a three way fair fight. Adding the additional server/realm in there is a way to autobalance the playing field. When one server/realm utterly dominates (HoD) the two smaller servers team up. I mean its the whole point. Without this aspect there is no real reason to have a three sides. You would get the same from just two sides. When one becomes to powerful the other needs to adapt the same tactics/recruit people from other servers or die.

Secondly we have fought against JQ several times and they won’t be a problem. That is why they’re not in our bracket.

I agree this situation will figure itself out over time, when people finally realize teaming up was part of the WvW design.

I guess I wasn’t clear. In a WvWvW map you are fighting for your server. You are not fighting for your server and another server. It is WvWvW not W vs W+W. When faced with a huge zerg server you should get drummed, then the system will match you up against servers that are like yours. That’s how the system stays intact and, in addition, makes WvWvW more enjoyable for everyone else.
Unless ofc you’re focused on the rankings, which in actuality don’t mean anything

As far as your comments about jq won’t be a problem, yet you are not a huge zerg server. I just can’t understand, unless ofc you teamed up against them as well. I can tell you having been on at off hours if our off hour “zerg” (lol) of 15 or so people touch something of jq 40 come out of nowhere on any map, anytime of day. So like I said you either teamed against them as well, they all of a sudden have tons more people on their server, or you are under-estimating your numbers. We all were pretty close during our primetime but then it disappeared overnight, fought back a little day 2 then overnight again it was 2x as bad, now its over. So like I said dont expect the map to remain the same cause it won’t

I’m not trying to get into anything with you, but I just think I am more of a purist in my thought process. Both teams are my enemy not the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
If your 2 servers come in 2nd and 3rd, you’re 3rd place team would be replaced by jq and the 4,5,6 match will most likely be a good one with 3 servers of the same “pop and times”
That is the goal of the system and I would think most people as well to be matched with similar servers so they can play WvWvW and have to worry about 2 servers and not have to worry about after 2 days no one has any interest.

NA and EU servers in WvWvW

Well with one of the main concerns being night capping and with the very small window of overlapping playtime (which ofc would obly be viable on 2 weekend days) all you would see is flipping over and over again during the different prime times which in essence would make the biggest problem people are seeing worse

The biggest thing is people can control populations and people can even out servers, the ones on the zerg or very populated ones simply won’t

With the transfer ability of 24hr I can see why it is the way it is.

Until they up the 24h to at minimum 7 days it should stay pat, but obviously the 24hr rule is so far beyond ridiculous I don’t even have the words.

I would love to go to a less populated server myself and we don’t have huge queue but afaic if 1 guildy can’t get in I have an issue

Well people just don’t grasp the concept really

First off WvWvW has some major issues we all know this

Second the server transfers as they are now are incredibly dumb and further cause the spiral of quality in WvW

Third the matchup system is far too young in accumulating data to generate proper matchups

Fourth servers aligning with servers also ruins WvWvW. I mean the whole concept is destroyed and yet servers do it and openly, which ofc leads to the other known fact that people ruin games not companies

The score is imo the smallest factor to it.
Really whats the difference between waking up to see 100k vs 75k vs 70k and waking up to see the map 75%/13%/12%?
The answer is there isnt. Either way there isn’t a reason to put time in to see it disappear while you sleep. It deters the enjoyment either way

Hate to break this to ya but being in the jq match up this week I will tell you they make about 90% of their progress overnight. As an example at 2am it was approximately 40/30/30 and woke up 75/12.5/12.5

So I hope you get your wish and enjoy jq

If sbi and et are truly not 24/7 zergers (which I doubt) I can only hope that one of you 2 comes in 3rd and maybe the 4,5,6 matchup won’t have a huge 24/7 zerg force then at least it will be fun

tbh I would like to see CD again with another server like ours and theirs.
Our matchup was so destroyed by jq but I think CD and us are a good matchup

Although this is all over the forums from a few servers I can tell you a large alliance of DB hasn’t put any effort whatsoever after we woke up saturday
There just isnt a point to put in any effort, gold, time, etc to see everything disappear overnight
I think the system is sad when pop wins and overnight coverage decides the outcome
Sad thing is next week we will see another huge zerg guild so it looks like we will probably WvW one day again next week
Kinda sad being the main feature of the game and it is only worth it to do 1/7 of the week.
Maybe we won’t do it at all. I guess we will see what the matchup gives us

And btw I find it absolutely atrocious that servers would combine to beat another. This nonsense has to stop. The system of 3 servers make WvWvW a great system and ruining it with alliances is just horrible play

You know I really am banging my head against the wall thinking about how to improve WvW but in all honesty when you have alliances between two competing servers to knock out someone else all I can do is throw my hands in the air

No matter what anyone does to try to make a balanced system. People will find a way to completely ruin it.

First off the server population and transfer service go hand in hand

You can read numerous posts about people’s server losing in wvw and transferring off, which is just ridulous btw

People are at fault for queue times and server populations right now and they are failing miserably.

Best thing to do is get rid of these transfers asap then they can deal with any population issues but for right now you cant.
I think people would be very surprised by population values on servers in a weekly format.

If you could add/remove 3 things in game, what it would it be and why ?

It is about stabilizing servers, which should be first priority.
you play on 2 servers make two characters.

This whole transfer thing is something that should have been denied weeks ago now and still after a month people can swap servers once a day
Free should be 7 day wait

I think every zone should be, to an extent, like cursed shore.

Most people that play this game do not get it like to casually mindless stroll though zones stopping and afking why the text their buddy about how the pwnface or some other nonsense

The speed of this game and the absolute necessity to pay attention while you are in cursed shore is exactly what I wished alot of the game was

And tbh you learn to play your character in cursed shore, or you realize something else

W/o question crafting is the way to go. I crafted like a maniac but I have made pieces for other people in my guild as well. There are numerous way to get exotic armor but the fastest and cheapest is crafting

I am levelling a ranger in the Norn area its a few copper to port from one waypoint to another and it is over a silver and a half for my level 80 to do the same exact port

That is defintely an issue

I could care less about paying to travel that only makes sense but it should be exactly the same for every player at any level

No offense man if you are receiving a tell in game or responding to a map comment in game to join a guild, you are doing it wrong.
I personally spent hours reading posts, visiting sites, checking out rosters, getting in vent and talking etc
That is how you find a guild
So instead of looking for the fast guild invite, do some research
