So are the players who didn’t receive their rewards on time going to receive some sort of compensation or something? I have a feeling I already know the answer to this question but I figured I’d ask anyway :/
Relogged multiple times, went into all the BLs & EB, no chest or anything. Didn’t transfer mid-season. Placed second, 10/10. Sad.
Eternity.
It looks INCREDIBLE now! Well done, ANEt!!! I was in love with it before but I am even more in love with it now. I have been showing it off to guildies & friends and I think I might’ve convinced a few people to craft it.
Who else agrees? Who disagrees? I’m interested to hear the thoughts on this.
Sorry if this is in the wrong area!
I got the baby dolyak tonic. There are costume brawl skills with it. It is adorable and chubby. And it also swims!
Thank you so much!!!
I apologize if this has been asked & answered before, but I did a quick skim of the forums and couldn’t find a similar query.
If you bought multiple sets of the same skin from the gem store, will you be able to receive a refund on one of the skin sets? I bought two sets of Zodiac for my guardian. Someone told me in-game that you could receive a refund, but I just wanted to be sure.
I mean, I’m sure when we get to fight Jormag, there will be a lot of focus on norn story & background. I think we will get to learn a lot about the sylvari with Mordremoth, too, and the asura with Primordus. It couldn’t hurt to go back to the gods at some point! /hopeful
I didn’t like SAB, partly because it’s not my thing, but partly because I couldn’t find anyone to do dungeons with or anything else with because they were all doing SAB >.>
I didn’t play GW1 much — wasn’t a fan. But I’ve read a bit about the lore and the story and it is very interesting to me. I know that essentially the whole idea with GW2 is all about the dragons, but I’m especially interested in the six gods.
I’d really like to see a living story season where our player characters (probably with the help of DE 2.0) try to find the gods and seek out their help. I haven’t thought too much about it but I really do want to see something with the gods. I think they’re so fascinating.
Do you think we would ever see something like that? Would you guys even want to see something like that? I could be the only one who is interested in this :P
You could’ve guested to a server that regularly completed the events. Before I transferred, my very first server never even completed Tequatl or the wurms or any of the major PvE events. I always guested to complete them.
With one week matchups at a time, no good way to get to know your enemies, the ability to flip a keep in less than 5 minutes AND no incentive to defend, WvW will always be just that – pointless (fun).
I was on Borlis Pass for five weeks and we faced IoJ and YB for four of those weeks. Trust me, we got to know our enemies VERY well.
Omg my guild and I were talking about this the other day. This is the best idea.
How is it that I could get Tomes from doing the LA event which required nothing but running around and pressing 1 and occasionally F but I can’t get them from doing WvW which actually requires some skill? ><
Haven’t you guys heard? We WvWers are plebs :P We won’t get account bound wxp anytime soon sadly.
By Ogden’s hammer!
I’m at my wit’s end here.
My account was compromised and I lost basically all of my items worth thousands of gold, including limited time-only gem store items that I used real money (NOT in-game currency) to purchase, as well as my legendary weapon that I crafted just a day prior to losing the things on my account.
ArenaNet rolled my account back, except they rolled it back so far that now I have even LESS than what I started with. I was under the impression that my account would be rolled back, but I would get back the things that I lost. Clearly that was not the case. I lost nearly 3000 achievement points, a level 80 character, a level 71 character, a bunch of titles, $30 worth of items that I purchased from the gem store minutes before my account was rolled back, and still virtually none of the things I had prior to the compromise. I thought I had nothing before but now I REALLY have nothing. With no armor, weapons, or gold, I am unable to progress in-game. I sit in Gendarran Fields and I run my character around in circles and talk to my guildies in guild chat and TeamSpeak while they actively participate in the game and have fun doing stuff with each other.
I feel like I have no choice but to quit the game. I am not just a gamer or a player — I am a customer. I’ve spent lots of money in-game. I love to do it, I love Guild Wars 2, I want to see it improve and grow and become something so much greater than what it already is. But I looked to ArenaNet for help expecting to be helped… But instead I feel slapped in the face. Maybe I’m wrong for feeling this way, but I feel like I deserve to be valued as a customer and that’s not what’s happening here.
I’m not usually one to kick and scream when I don’t get my way, but I don’t know what else to do, where else to go, who else to turn to. I just want my things back — the things I spent my hard-earned money on and the things I spent my precious time working towards. I don’t understand the thought process behind the person who chose the date to roll my account back to. I don’t understand why my account couldn’t have been rolled back to the day prior to my account being compromised. Maybe I’m just stupid or ignorant, but I’m really at a loss here. What do I have to do to get my stuff back? How much of my money do I have to spend for ArenaNet to value me as a customer? I don’t want to quit playing, but what other choice do I have?
I know many people will tell me I’m being overdramatic and tell me to quit kittening and get over it, but many of them have not and will not experience something like this. It is so incredibly disappointing.
He did not go onto my computer. We were in a long-distance relationship. He did it from his own, 3,000 miles away from my location.
My vindictive ex-boyfriend has gotten revenge on me for breaking up with him in the form of deleting absolutely everything on my account, including lots of gem store items and my legendary weapon. I have put in a support ticket but I have not yet received a response. I have a list (which is incomplete) of the things I have lost.

What is the likelihood that I am going to get these things back..? I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on the gem store whether it was to buy items or to convert gems to gold. To see it all gone is so upsetting and disheartening.
Where does Scarlet get her resources?

The Shatterer and The Claw of Jormag are just ranks for dragon champions. Every time we kill a Claw or the Shatterer, we are not killing the one we killed yesterday. It is a completely different dragon.
Where Kralk and Jormag get these dragons to designate as their champions, however, is beyond me.
What about your favorite Non main NPCs!

Sewer skritt is and always will be my favorite NPC. If I have to stand idle in LA anywhere, it is always within earshot of him. If we lose him forever, I don’t know what I’ll do.
-slams fists on the table-
LARGOS.
I will accept nothing more or less.
LA can’t get destroyed. Then we’d have nowhere to stand afk.
A guild-specific commander tag is an AMAZING idea. Ghetto tagging works but a lot of times particle effects, AoEs, skill animations and other things get in the way from me seeing the little red target, and sometimes I do lose target entirely. Also, I often don’t pay much attention to what’s going on in my screen. If I’m trying to get organized and situated on my commander, a lot of times I will look at my mini-map — not my actual screen — to do so. Love that idea!
I’ve yet to run to the IT department at school simply because classes have started and I’m just trying to get settled, but it’s definitely not out of the question. Once things have calmed down a bit, and if ANet has exhausted its potential solutions, I’ll definitely head down there and speak with them.
I’m looking into the potential for getting a VPN and although I’m not crazy about the monthly fee I may have to pay (I don’t have a job right now and it will be difficult to make time for one with classes), I do think it could definitely be a viable option. I’m looking into some free services to see if they could be helpful.
The error message I listed above was through the dorm connection. I believe I canceled the login process before I could bother to receive an error message when I was connected to my phone.
I figured that the ISP might be blocking a port needed to connect to the client and I could speak with IT to have it unblocked. I figured I would exhaust all of my options through ANet first. I don’t think they’re doing it on purpose to prevent us from playing games, because I know of students who are able to play XBox and Playstation games online using the campus-wide wifi, and I also have access to The Sims 3 and its online components on the very same laptop. It’s not only inconvenient but also expensive for me to be going back and forth between home and school so frequently (gas, unfortunately, does not pay for itself), and I really don’t want to have to sacrifice the community on GW2 that I’ve grown to love.
I hope this doesn’t constitute as spam, but I really just want to give great thanks to the support team for helping me out with my issue. It hasn’t been resolved yet, but they’ve been very patient and they’ve given me tons of potential solutions to explore. Even when one solution doesn’t work, I always get a fast, detailed response with another option to explore. I’m sure the lovely folks over at support are just as frustrated as I am having to deal with this so much.
I suppose, on an off note, if anyone has any ideas as to how I could resolve my issue, that would be pretty cool, too. I imagine I’m not the only person to have this problem.
I’ve been playing GW2 for a few months now, and I’ve been playing on my MacBook Pro. Everything has been working fabulously until now. I recently moved into my dorm at university and I’ve been unable to connect to the game client. The only thing that’s changed is my wireless connection — not my computer or antivirus or anything like that. I’ve tried to use my phone as a wireless hotspot, just to see if I could log on but I was unable to even then. What happens is that I attempt to log in and the loading time is unbearably long. When the loading times out, I get error code 58:11:5:512, with the following message: “The game client was unable to connect to the log-in server. Please restart your client and try again. If the problem persists, contact Customer Support for assistance at http://support.guildwars2.com.”
So frustrating! I’m having too much fun at university to go home every weekend just to play a little GW2!
If anyone else has had a similar issue, please don’t hesitate to speak up and offer some potential solutions.
Once again, massive thanks to the people over at support — you guys are brilliant!
