i’m 89% currently and i haven’t decided yet how much i want.It won’t be 300% for certain that is to much for me.

And this is why they need a user friendly queue system that does all the work for us. The current implementation is pretty bad and will suck for both elite level players and new players.

Elite players will find it frustrating. And new players will be scared to use it.

Actually i don’t like the automated dungeon finder systems.With them i can’t see what classes are in the group that i join nor i can write a post.As party leader i want to have full controll over my group when it’s forming at the start which can not be done with automated LFG system.
Right now i like and dislike the current LFG tool.I’m exactly on 50/50

I don’t think so.Yes there maybe some 1/4 of the playerbase that doesn’t read the posts on gw2lfg.com,but the other 3/4 of it for certainty do it.Which is not the case with the ingame LFG tool.With it a lot of people just join on a whim…

You want just to join and have fun huh?Well here is a story for you.Yesterday i was leading CoE.I was with one friend and 3 randoms.When we were in the room with the exploding robots i specifically said we are doing 1-4 pressing strategy.What happened?only 2 people pressed.And we had to clear the whole room and for that we did bloody 5 wipes.
When we went to the boss with the ice debuff at that place i finally understand we have a newbie with us.

Look now,i don’t have anything against new players as long i know they are in my group so i can explain to them what to do,where to stand,what is the tacktick and so on…
I prefer to explain for 2 minutes rather than wipe again and agin on easy things…

After reading the posts on this forum, I have come to an interesting conclusion: What people really want is not better teams, but better READERS. Think about some of the comments: I get better teams from gw2lfg.com. Why should it make a difference really? Because browsing the teams forces you to take the time to read the description and find groups that fit. In other words, the lfg tool needs to be able to force players to slow down and take their time with reading descriptions. I get the elitist hate on this forum, I feel similarly however a zerker run should fairly allow zerkers to search for like-minded people.

Instead of hating on them, we need to make this tool more powerful in forcing people to read. I think a validation option needs to be added to the tool where people who want to be selective can prevent joins until party members validate the individual. Or else there needs to be some aspect to the tool that at the very least forces people to slow down and take time to read through the team postings in game so they join the right group for them. I believe this can be done, it just requires some creative thinking in how the tool is used, mainly a brainstorm session perhaps? C’mon posters, lets focus on helping them figure out where this tool needs to go. No complaints, lets offer ideas.

Also I wanted to thank ArenaNet for declaring this tool as beta. It obviously needed foresight and I like they take the time to make the tools work right for the game and not just an overly convenient pickup and join tool.

How hard is to read what is written in the post?
I want some specific class.I want class A not class B or C.
I want speed run which means i don’t won’t PVT gear or inexperienced players.
I want 45AR which means everyone under that is excluded.

People should start reading what is written so i can take a break from kicking them.Only because a post is made this doesn’t mean everyone is invited in the bloody group.There are set specific requirements which has to be preserved.People should stop joining on a whim every LFG post that is up.
Read first then join.It’s actually THAT simple…

Yesterday my group was doing TA all paths,but one of the members couldn’t stay to the end so we were with 1 less for F/U.I specifically wrote in the post ‘’GLF1M brezerker for path F/U’‘.And what did i received?First one who joined has never done before TA and was with 66AP.He couldn’t be more newbie.Second one who joined was a guard who didn’t even know what we were doing until we went to the path.
Come on WTF is this?!?!?I wrote everything in my post.Read then join.Don’t do the opposite…

I wouldn’t mind a dungeon revamp.If it is with TA great.And the trailer looks amazing

LFG is not opened to everyone yet.So you will see parties forming but not so many as you may think.

Looks like it’s up to the group.
If you want it more safer then use 2 guardians who know what they are doing.
If you want more bursty and speedy then use 1 guardian and heavy dmg from glass canons.
I have done it both ways and it works perfectly fine.
The only problem is that F/U is NOT for pugs.
Everything is up to practice.My guild was training a lot with path Up because it is very similar to F/U.

Well it’s probably because people down alot in berserker gear. Of course the reasonable explanation for that is because eventually any class (even guardians) simply run out of survival skills/dodges and if the dps of your party is too low, the guy in berserker gear doing the most damage will be the first to down and deemed a “noob zerk”. It’s debatable if it’s worth it to be down so much but doing so much damage while you’re up, but I don’t pug alot so I’ll leave that discussion to the rest of you.

Don’t talk for all glass canons like they all are bad.Yes the pugs may be,but NOT every berzerker is bad in his role.There are some really great dpsers who run only with their guilds or close friends and they never pug.

Yes 35lvl is not as strong as 80lvl but why shouldn’t it come?If it knows the tacktick and knows how to survive and do some dmg then it’s fine.I don’t mind low lvls to join my groups as long they are not being carried by the group.Boosting is not free and never will be.

To the OP,
only pug groups hate glass canons.Ask any proper guild that runs dungeons what they think.Every guild that makes speed clears in Arah and do melee kills of Lupi are using berzerkers.In other dungeons like TA fwd/up or AC p3 you will use berzerkers.

It’s always faster,safer and smoother to have good and experienced glass canons.Even in high level fractals my guild is using atleast 3 glass canons and 2 supports.

At one point one of my guild officer and raid leader was yelling at me that my berzerker build was not good enough because my dmg was not high enough.So i had to make a reaserch to see how can i increase the kitten dps without changing to much the build.

My guild does on a regular daily bases Fractals.We don’t have a specific team but we do everyday fractals on different levels.We have groups doing higher levels like 48 and other groups doing 20+ and 38lvls.
We are on Europe server.

People panic too much and in the end it was for nothing.First of all for 12 months we received only 6 Ascended items.Which is not what i would call a gear tread mill.Gear tread mill is when you have to upgread your armor every 2 or 4 months.In GW2 we don’t have such thing.
Second thing that i find funny is that Anet stated Ascended will be the last tier of gear.So WTF are you talking about OP?Endless tread mill?!?!?Are you kidding with me?

Now when Ascended weapons were introduced people started to panic again.Come on people calm down.It’s not such a big deal as some try to make it.Fractals are no even uncapped yet and the differrence in stats is no so high than exotic.People in no time will have their Ascended weapons.

I don’t see a problem with dungeon selling.Such things are common in MMOs.
In other games people will sell Raids lockouts,gear and mounts from the instance.In GW2 people sell dungeons.
If the group haven’t kicked anyone then they have the right to do what ever they want with the instance.It’s their dungeon so they can sell it if they want.
I repeat if the dungeon is done in a legit way for example – 4 people open the dungeon and do it.Later when they are on the final boss they can sell the 5th spot.This way is fine by me.

Pugs can not be used as an example of what DPS classes can do.Pugs by default are not so skilled players.There may be exceptions from the rule,but in general you can’t compare a pug warrior for instance to a warrior with a solid group running dungeons.

Warrior damage is not as high as Thief or Elementalist. Warrior sustained damage is not as high as Guardian. Warrior DPS is only slightly better than Ranger.

The thing is that Warrior’s DPS is 10 times easier to pull off compared to Guard, Thief and Ele, for the average player.

Yes i know.That is why i never run with pugs and strangers.I prefer to do dungeons every day with my guild who will bring diversity in the classes.And will not stack only OP warriors because they are easy to learn and easy to play.

I will repeat AC with ele in your group will melt the everything.Or Arah with a thief will finish help the group finish in no time.
It’s interesting to play with different classes.Not only guard,warrior and Mesmer.
To have diversity is a good thing.

CoF,TA and CoE are very forgiving places

Elementalists and thieves glass canons have dps on par as warriors.They have really high burst.But dmg is not anything.Lets talk for them separately.

Thieves are very useful in fractals and Arah and many other dungeons for their group invisibility.You have no idea how fast my dungeon runs go because i have really experienced thieves in my guild.Also their smoke screen is working just like guardian’s walls and bubbles.And on top of that they have very high dmg capabilities.

Staff elementalists have really amazing dps too.Do you know how they can drop down the mobs,Kholer,The spider and the burrows?I don’t think you do.They will melt then like buttor on sun.Their Fiery sowrd and Ice bow is one of their best utilities.Now lets talk about their reflects.Yes they have those too.Their earth is actually quite useful for it’s good reflect shield.
And let me not start about combo fields.

I actually like your idea.It will give more incentive to pick up the banner and buff with them and when you ’’plant’’ them after that as you said you will be rewarded with a combo field.
Why i like it?Because you stop dpsing or healing or reflecting or what ever you were doing and you are focusing to play with the banner.

To address the problem of “LFG”, they need to add incentive and quality-of-life.

For example, in this LFG interface – there should be a subcategory called “Volunteer to Fill a Group”. This category will list all parties which have 4/5 players, or are older than 30 minutes. If you join a group with this, you can earn bonus rewards during the event.

Otherwise, there is absolutely no benefit of using this over using gw2lfg.com other than you don’t have to alt-tab.

I like your idea for bonus rewards.It’s good thing people to be rewarded.I may not be a fan of WoW’s automated LFG but i can not say that it isn’t rewarding.What ever group you are forming while using their system you are receiving some kind of reward always.
I would love GW2’s LFG system to give some kind of rewards for using it.

Yes they should be rewarded for the time invested but it must not be on par with the win.
The rewards for wining and losing should be different.

i never understood what is the point of Death match in a MMO where you don’t have dedicated healers.
One thing is when it’s a FPS game,another is when it’s a MMO.

Because there was a lot of whining when solo players were playing against pre-mades.So Anet split the two modes.

Ofc there isn’t.The balance is around pre-mades not in solo match making.I don’t expect any balance there.

The OP sounds ridiculous.Of course the path is NOT imposible.
You can use 2 rangers staying at 1500 distance nuking the tree while the rest of the group are killing the spiders.
Or use 2 guardians and really heavy dps to down the tree.
There is nothing,i repeat nothing special or hard in the fight.

The other strategy is to use guardians and high dmg to take the tree down from melee range.

I think the team that currently is working on the china GW2 version will be working on an expansion too.Maybe when they release it in china will start working on an expansion then.That is my personal opinion.

The guild community is growing and we are still looking for more PvE oriented and active players to do guild missions,dungeons,living story and Open world with us.
