Ok I still dont get it… What are people doing in pve? its either your in orr grinding de’s or your in a dungeon. How many times can you run that dungeon over and over again without doing it for gear and not get bored? What is everybody doing in pve that I don’t know about because those are the only things I can think of doing at this point.
Well as a pver i do jumping puzzles,Keg brawl,dungeons.I don’t like Orr.My foot doesn’t step there.I farm other high level lands.
I’m killing world bosses from time to time.
There are many things that i do in pve.
For instance i for 1st time discovered the jumping puzzles.And was doing them only whole week lol.Once i did the achievements i started farming only the most interesting puzzles.
At some point i was interested in world completion.
I am NOT interested in legendairy and i won’t farm it.It’s hell of a work.
New contet for me is always welcomed.
So +1 from me for novembers patch.
I think people always react too much over nothing.Right now we know little,very little.
Calm down and wait for the patch.Then decide do you like it or not.
For me GW2 is good game.It took me from WoW and i never turned back.
I have 500 hours played and still have a blast and all that free content is great to the game.In my opinion atleast.

@Inaccordance sorry dude but i have to disagree with you.Why we have to be bound to stay only in level 80 zones?If Anet do what you suggest we won’t have any reason to go in lower level zones.
Right now it’s perfectly fine.We have to move around the world.We have a reason to do it.
Why not?I like one time events.They show how long were you playing GW2.It will show who is new to the game and who isn’t.In other MMOs like WoW you have a tab specifically for achievements which are unobtainable.I’d like GW2 to have such similar tab.

all your points are right at the spot.What i don’t agree with you only is that TP is not the only way to make gold.Yes it can give you the biggest income but i never play with it.
My experience shows that Dungeons and Orr are very good source for gold.I have a group which farms dungeons and my income from there is very stable.
So we have 3 ways to farm good amounts of gold:
1.playing with TP
2.Dungeons(with decent group)
3.Farming Orr
All other points that you made i agree with them on 100%

The tower was my favourite thing.
There is one simple answer why 0-9 can’t be moved.And it’s called Esport.Anet akittengeting it.When someone is commenting it’s much more easier when the skills are fixed and can’t be moved.You know what will have and where it is the moment you see a warrior with riffle for example.If you can move your skills it’s harder to comment.
That is my opinion.And i don’t think Anet will change their mind to let you move your skills how you want.I could only suggest you to adapt fast.

Took me 3 days lol.1st I was dying not even in the middle of the puzzle.2nd day dying at one frustrating cross-beam,5secs before the big falling.Last death before completion was when I hit myself in the stairs infront the clock.Next try I jumped in the clock and thought ”noooo logging screen,I died again” but then I see that I’m inside lol.

Why should i want mounts when i have way points and swiftness?
I already travel fast enough.Way point’s costs are fine.I have a few spells which give me speed buff.So in total i don’t need mounts for moving.
The only reason to have them which i see is for collectors.To have what to do.Any different than that no thanks.
My armor skins are enough.That is what i want to show.In so many MMOs people are more focused on they ride rather than what they gear looks like.This is what attracted me to GW2.For 1st time people were looking me not the mount lol.
If mounts were put in the game i want them out of the cities.Mounts shouldn’t be allowed in them.

Right now we have a few options.
1st crafting which can give you the best gear
2nd karma which has 2 things – gear for 1k and gear for 5k
3rd is the best gear obtained through karma and dungeon tokens.
Those 3 options are not enough in my opinion.I want more ways to farm my gear.Why should i be forced to wait for my gear?Can’t i have a few different kinds of farming methods which will mix in each other?
Right now what do i do?I hit 80 and buy gear or farm karma,tokens then i wait a lot of time for new items.I don’t say it’s a bad thing but it’s a bad mechanic.
I’d like to have 5 or even 6 tipes of systems which give gear.Each set will be more powerfull than next one and will improve you.
That is what i want
The system has 5 different types of tiers which don’t have common things.They are based on different farming methods.The models are made like this because people should do different things.They shouldn’t focus only on one thing and only it.You should be able to farm your gear as you wish.
Keep in mind one important thing.Gear stats will stay the same as now.There won’t be any significant difference in it.The only thing that will make it special is how it looks.

Tier 1 – Gear and weapons: White,Green,Blue,Rare,exotic / 1-79 leveling braket
1.Normal mobs – white,green gear
2.Elite mobs – blue gear
3.Champion mobs – rare gear
4.Currency – exotic gear (this is exotic gear is specific only for 1-79lvl.You can’t buy this gear with the same currencies for 80lvl because then it is different colour)
a)Tokens from:jumping puzzles,WvW,story mode dungeons
b)Reputation:X1a – buy with silver
c)Karma
5.Crafting – current model(discover thing by experimenting)
You need very little currency to buy things.For instance 20lvl buys things for 100+ karma,43lvl for 500+ karma,67lvl for 750+ karma
If you buy with silver you will need reputation.
Tier 2 – Gear and weapons:Blue / lower 80lvl braket
1.Chests – DE,WvW,Puzzles,Story mode dungeons
2.Reputation:X1b – buy with gold gear
3.Crafting – current model (discover thing by experimenting)
Tier 3 – Gear and weapons:Rare / higher 80lvl braket
1.Curency – rare(yellows)
a)Tokens from: jumping puzzles,WvW,story mode dungeons
b)Reputation:X1c – buy with gold gear and weapons
c)Karma
2.Crafting – current model(discover thing by experimenting)
3.Chest – Explorable dungeons
Tier 4 – Gear and weapons:Exotic / upper 80lvl braket
1)Tokens from Explorable dungeons
2)Reputation: X1d – buy with gold recipes to make gear
Tier 5 – Gear and weapons:Epicks and Legendairies
1)Epicks – Purple gear only.Those epicks are equivalent of legendairie weapons but for gear.
a)Reputation:X1e – you buy Epick gear with a lot achievement points
b)Crafting – recipes which drop from chests in:Explorable dungeons,DE,jumping puzzles,WvW .It can Drop from farming trees,mines,vegetables,fruits too.BUT and it is a big one.Each farming method has a drop chance.For instance if you farm trees,mines there will be 1% drop chance.So if you do things which are more harder the drop chance will increase and be bigger.
DE,puzzles,WvW will be 5%, Explorables – 10% drop chance .Once you have the recipe you will need materials for the item.They are found in the open world.Epicks are profession specific.This gear will be made different than legendairy weapons. It will not need hundreds of materials.Epick gear will be hard to find the recipe but not hard to make the item.
2)Legendairy weapons only – I won’t change anything from the current model.They will be the same as now.
So here is how you improve your self.
1st you get leveling gear then you hit 80 and start doing for instance DE,WvW,dungeons,Jumping puzzles for gear which drops only from chests and is in “Lower 80lvl braket”.While you farm that gear you receive karma,tokens ,reputation with which you can buy things from “Higher 80lvl braket” BUT they are not easy to get.You will need atleast a week of farming to receive full set.Until then you already will be fully gear from “Lower 80lvl bracket” and you will have enough currency to buy things from the “Higher 80lvl braket”
In “leveling braket” for example you need only 700 karma,for “Higher 80lvl braket” you will need 5k+ karma.
I have made 5 Tiers of gear which means there are 5 models of gear.Each one of them brings different farming models.
1st is leveling gear model.
2nd is 80lvl gearing model NOT based on currency like karma or tokens
3rd is 80lvl gearing model based on currency for instance karma and tokens
4th is 80lvl gearing model which is made for people that want to have a challenge or just like to farm
5th is 80lvl gearing model and it’s the hardest to do(Legendairy weapons and Epick gear)
Numbers 4 and 5 are harder to do and are not meant for everyone.Dungeons will be meant for challenge.Reputations where you buy things for Achievement points are for people who like to farm.

NightFire@ you really made me laugh by saying Blizzard to teach Anet how to make dungeons.Have you played current Mop dungeons?They are so pathetick and easy.People whined in Cata that opening dungeons are too hard and look what Blizzard mae now.Something that even casuals find noring and unsatisfying.So stop telling things like that are laughable.
This game is made to be without specific tanks and healers so stop asking for that too.This game has support,controll and damage.It’s good to have from each speciffic proffession in your group BUT you will be fine even if you are in a pug without a cordination of builds and traits.
Now it’s other thing if you have a specif group which you do dungeons with.For instance:
Healing – guardian or elemetalist
tankish or suport – warrior
suport – mesmer,thief,ranger
GW2 was made to be played as a team and not as individuals.Because it’s good when your spells and abilities combine and improve your profession.And i say it again GW2 dungeons are made for pugs and for profetionals.
No real reason to do dungeons?Are you kidding me?There is a reason and it’s called good looking skin.I have 4 dungeons which i farm for a cool looking armor and still have to farm the armor from 44k karma.
Anet may have removed WoW’s gear tread mill but they added something else and it’s called fashion and i like it that way.I’m glad that they are not following the traditional MMO gear tread mill.
Dificulty and experience of low dungeons is tuned fine.I don’t see any problem with it.
Level limit and down scaling is a good thing.This means there will always be a challenge for you.And you won’t over gear the content because the gear isn’t improving so much at the End game.People just learn how to play and what to do.What to avoid and how to stay alive.

The next thing that you are wrong is LFG tool missing.It is here you just don’t know about it.Yes it needs improvements but from what you wrote i come to conclusion that you want a cross realm,automated LFG system and THAT is not needed in this game.Stop trying to make GW2 look more like WoW,Rift,SWTOR.All this games have such a tool so go play them instead.

GW2 dungeons have flaws yes.Instances need improvements but HEY the game just launched and WoW had 8 years to evolve so shush!

Yes i can say that the game was worth of my money.
1.I don’t pay monthly
2.I don’t feel pressured to level
3.No need to have the best gear so you can stay competitive
4.Lack of holy trinity actually a good thing.I can farm every gear that i want.And only those which i like without worring of stats.
5.I like very much the gem shop.I can buy things with in game gold.In other MMOs i didn’t have this option.
So yes it was worth my 60 bucks.
I too like the game.When i was playing other games i was feeling pressure to gear fast and level fast so i can stay competitive.And that was happening every time a new tear was introduced.
I like how GW2 has removed the gear tread mill and the need to have the best gear.
For 1st time i farm only those sets which i like and not what i need because i have to stay competitive.And that is a good thing for me atleast.
The best gear is obtaining when you farm a lot the following currencies:Karma,WvW tokens,Dungeon tokens
Zeus@ what you are doing with imps is wrong.Your tactick is totally wrong.
The imps are the easiest thing from the torch part.I don’t understand how can you have problems with them.Who told you that after killing 2 of them you have to be in combat?Just go in the tunel and go to the safe spot.4 of the torches have a safe spto and the green and red imps are the easiest.Learn how to get out of combat that’s all.
The only place that you can’t get out of combat is one of the Oozes groups but even there i still can get out of combat.
So tacktick is simple:
1st torch next to entrance has infinite safe spot
2nd torch with green imps has a tunel which is the safe spot
3rd torch red imps is the same tunel but you enter it from the other side
4th torch is the 1st Ooze group.When you kill 2 of the mobs you can hug the wall and run to the tunel where people with red and green imps hide to get out of combat.
5th torch with last Oozes can be done like the 4th torch.You kill 2 then hug the wall and go to the tunell with red and green imps.
IF you have a warrior and a guardian who can heal they can go to the oozes and stay there as the Mobs won’t do much dmg.You kill 2 and the last one just doesn’t do enough dmg.
It is very important when someone is on the imps to get out of the combat.
I’m a warrior not tank but with enough defence.People must be smart and not only to get out of combat but when they are taking to much dmg to put some skills which will help them to get up from down state.
Torch part is not hard i have been doing it with many different pugs.
Swiftpaw@ you don’t need voice chat communication.What you need is simple commands like:
1.When you kill 2 mobs press r
2.When the group leader sees 5 r he says kill the last mob
3.When the mob is dead press r
4.When the leader sees 5 r he writes “press”
It’s easy to communicate between people even without voice chat.It’s not necesary.

Was wondering why they didn’t add this in the first place.
I’m wondering too.If you split the system in my opinion you can fix one thing in PvP without nerfing the same thing for PvE players.
If PvE and PvP were one and the same thing then we wouldn’t have problems.But they aren’t.They need different things and different balance.That’s why I thing PvE skill design should be split from the PvP one.
Many MMOs right now have a mixed system.And when developers try to balance not always is successful.You may balance PvE but you will hurt the PvP or the opposite posible.
What i didn’t like in one MMO which won’t be named is that developers prefer PvE over PvP there.They boost and balance around the 1st thing and the 2nd one is getting so unbalanced that it’s not interesting to play.
I hope Anet splits PvP from PvE skill design.It’ll not only be good for the game but should be easier to balance.
let me put this in perspective, my perspective anyway. i came in to mmos from fps. i played fps for years, my first three years in an mmorpg was in wow, and i pvpd there. then, i got entranced by the story. and the pve. and all the lore. then people started screaming about “balance,” and i watched this game i once loved destroy itself by trying to make everything fair, everything easy, and responding to the squeakiest wheels. we who chose to only pve watched our classes get destroyed, so that the pvpers could say “ok, NOW i can kill that class!”
i left wow a couple of years ago, and i haven’t looked back. played rift for a while, and they built and integrated a separate system for pvp/pve. this meant that my pve specs weren’t touched when they attempted to balance things for “fairness” in pvp. with the exception of the fact that rift was, like so many other mmorpgs, in the end only a grind fest, i loved that game. but i’m sick of the grind, so i came to gw2 after playing gw1 for a while to learn the lore of this world.
recently, not only was one of the useful runes for guardians changed to balance things for pvp, the developers decided to also change up the key layout of three of the skills i use, requiring me to reteach myself a key combo. no big, you say, you can retrain yourself. and you’re right, when you say that. i can. but now the question comes in, with the dread — what am i going to have to relearn, over the course of playing this game, in my pve world, so that pvpers can have their balance, and their fairness? how many times will the professions i’ve come to play with skill and love be changed, in order to balance pvp?
i’m already beginning to loath the idea of what may come, and the joy and exuberance i had for this game is dimming. i’ll stick with it, and i’ll hope for the best, but developers? you need to hear and understand — yes, we know, you want this game in esports. that’s cool, i get that. but i’m not a pvper. are you going to destroy this gift you’ve given me, or will you rise to the challenge, and implement a solution that worked wonders in your first game?

When such a system is working and is good it should be in game.
GW2 shouldn’t suffer only because the balance for PvP and PvE requires different things.That is why we need PvP and PvE to be split appart.

What i don’t understand is this – Anet wants pvp to be equal amongs players and that is why they did with the Mists and s/tPvP maps.And that is instant leveling to 80 and whole your gear becomes the best one.
What i mean is they went to such a degree to balance the PvP but mhm it’s like they’ve forgotten something.And that is to split pve and pvp.
It would be really great if we had 3 things and not only 2 like now.
1.Instant 80 (exists)
2.The best pvp gear (exists)
3.Split pve from pvp skill design (NOT EXISTING)

Yes it is still free if i remember right.You change you server like like this – go to character selection screen then in down right corner you have a button called World sellection.Press it and choose your server.
1.GW2 is not subscription based MMO so you don’t have to log everyday
2.GW2 is not like traditional MMO’s based on gear tread mill so you don’t have to log everyday.
3.If you are bored you can stop playing for a while and when you return you won’t be left behind because i say it again gear gear stats in GW2 isn’t so important.
4.No one is saying that you have to play 6 hours a day.
5.When GW2 1st launched it was new and shiny so i tried to level as fast as possible and it still took me and my brother to get to 80 for 2 weeks.Once i saw what GW2 could offer me and i was more accustomed with the game i started playing less but doing what i liked.
So my advice to you is play less.This game is not meant to be played 24/7
I’m perfectly fine without raids.I have so many things to do even without them.And if you ask me explorable dungeons are more than enough for me.

2.More jumping puzzles.
3.Improving the down scaling system
4.Improving UI.You should be able to move targets window when you click on it,where ever you want on your screen.
5.An option to turn on and off bars above character’s/NPS,s heads (like it’s in dota)
6.Moving spells on tabs but still they are bound to weapons.For instance you put offhand axe and you get 2 skills.Youu can switch only their places.(4 to 5 never 5 to 2 or something like that)

8.To be able to see world map from an instance
9.Tabard implemented and an option to hide it.
I am a fan of dungeon finder. If I want to sozialice, I do it. And I really do.
If I want a dungeon, I want it now, not in 1 hour. Not maybe, if I find a group.And this is IF you can really say finding a group is sozialicing and not spamming the chat.
There are plenty of MMOs which have what you want.WoW,Rift,SWTOR.So go play that.
GW2 is a lot different than them.
1st the dungeons are meant to be very hard so we shouldn’t be grouped with randoms.
2nd GW2 dungeons are like WoW’s challenge mode dungeons.This means instances are meant to be hard.
3rd they need cooperation,support and communication and automated LFG system removes that element.
4th explorable modes are not meant for pugs and casualls.They are WoW’s hc raid equivalent into GW2
So in total automated cross server LFG system will only hurt the game and community.We don’t need that.
What we need is improvement to the current LFP system which GW2 has.
Its search should be expanded to all lands.
It should let you write what you’re looking for.
It may even have different categories like:
DE,sPvP,personal story,dungeon story,dungeon explorable,jumping puzzle.
You’d be able to list your name in all the tabs but you will be still able to write in each one of them different things which you are looking for.
LFG channel is needed too.
But I say it again.The system should be only per server.Never cross realm.That is not good for the community.That is how WoW’s one was destroyed.
