For anyone who remembers the old days of [RET] we will be back in full force soon. Give it a week or 2, and you will be running for the hills (or maybe bay, or garrison) :P

Meanwhile, heres a video of me dueling Nightlight from [CERN] lol All for fun and games, since after lots of ZvZ fights we were too outnumbered and decided to duel for fun.

Its an exxageration to say anyone is rolling in 100 man zergs. That would be saying every single person on a qued map is right on the commander, which is ridiculous.

Either way, the zergs on a certain role-playing server can get pretty kitten big. The thing i hate though is when they dont outnumber you 3 to 1 they all seem to get urges to go into towers and stand on the walls. Its really weird but its a trend I’ve been seeing lately :/

Nice fights at reset in FA BL. Although i think TC went a bit overboard combining TSL, DIS, and CERN into an 80 man zerg… lol.

VK has returned home to Fort Aspenwood. Id like to thank everyone on SF and ET for the fights, and the great people that I met on Fergusons Crossing, keep up the good work!

Sorry, I didn’t have the tower part on fraps…well okay I did, but I couldn’t post it due to some comments in the chat box and my absolutely kitten abilities to not understand video editing correctly. I wanted to have the video start and end with us getting wiped by FoE in the lords room. I hope my body dropped you nothing but useless spikes

Will miss fighting you guys when you leave bud, hope your recruitment swoop / fun vacation was enjoyable.
Couple of tips to take back to t2 with you after watching your vid…. turn off them darn green circles lol, fastcast is far superior for instant decision making. Also dont walk backwards just delete that S movement key, seriously its like a free lunch when i see someone walking backwards. And finally dont blindly drop your necro stuff when doing your running away necro tactic, try to pan and drop. Any good group will never ever follow you in a straight line, such as when we wiped you outside overlook ruins, we came in off-center avoiding all your necro drops and smashed into the side of you.

Also when you wiped us at overlook ruins most people were logging and we were down to an 11 man crew, fighting SF and you guys :P we were just blindly charging in for fun since we had the outmanned buff and the night was starting to close. Either way, fun fights out there.

We have quite a few mesmers in VK. It was a 9 Man squad and about 13 when 4 pugs came into teamspeak to run with us later on for the 4th time we wiped you. I would have said good fights but coming onto the forums to read hurr durr we wiped 30 VK 5 times. First of all we had 9, 2nd of all that is untrue. Anyways, lets stop this nonsense and bring the topic back to where it was. Someone was saying SF had lots of numbers? As someone who came from Tier 2 and Tier 3 before that I would say SF has numbers of a tier 3 server.

Keep in mind [seed], that its hard to find a VK group of 30 around in FC because there arent even 30 of us on the server LOL

Lol @ [seed] forum warriors. We were running a 9 man squad. We wiped you 4 times, you wiped us 2 times. 9v10. 1 of the 2 times you wiped us was at north camp with 4 ballistas, the guild LH next to you, and about 10 more pugs in the camp. Congrats? I’m glad your honored enough to come on the forums to bloat about beating a group that cant even fill 2 parties.

VK has not fought Agg yet, I can confirm that. We fought you once but you ran up a hill and we ported to spawn quick to try to get you from behind, but then you were nowhere to be found (sneaky kittens) I saw lots of Agg tags in a FoE zerg we fought but It has been told to me that was not a main Agg force (probably people in a que)

Anyways, lets not start drama, heres to the fights to come.

Also, FoE wiped us once when your guys were running a 60 man zerg of FoE + Agg one the SMC wall, other than that we didn’t wipe to you once

@Niim, we are here to stay. Currently beating TC by about 10k points, and ahead of them in rating. We would have to lose 10+ guilds to go anywhere but up. And as most people know the only big guild that ever left FA went down the sewer and is now dead with like 40 members on SoS :P

Currently beating TC, just need a bit more coverage in SEA and then we will be able to hold off the WM and Meow zergs at 10 in the morning EST time…

Some great fights in EB today! FA held SMC with every gate and wall down for quite a few ticks. It was quite a fun challenge to overcome. We finally decided to let it go because there was more PPT available elsewhere so we moved to another Borderland.

Its always fun fighting RISE in EB! Makes me have to think quicker on my feet than usual.

Oh and I cant forget CO either!

Im being completely honest when I say being with my guild on FA, and being a part of the WvW community here, it is the most fun time I’ve had in any video game ever. My /age in guild wars 2 will prove that to you.

Yeah, I’m proud to say I was leading during that time, and yes a 15 man RET squad was able to take down a 1 man OG zerg. We all patted ourselves on the back.

Lol I’m sorry but I have to say this. As an ex-Darkhaven player (I came to FA because it was my original server from launch, but went to Darkhaven for a few months because my friend wanted me to play on that server) I cant wait to face two specific Blackgate guilds.

[iCoa] Let me tell you their history.Darkhaven was beating NSP. One of the biggest guilds on NSP bandwagons over to Darkhaven, then they merge with other guilds on Darkhaven to make [iCoa] they mass recruit on Darkhaven and then a loss or two, and they bandwagon to Blackgate after recruiting a large amount of the WvW population from Darkhaven. I have no respect for this guild as it is one of the reasons Darkhaven is dead.

[GoF] Yet another ex-Darkhaven guild. They are unorganized zergs of 40+ that went from Darkhaven to CD. They were on CD a few weeks, and bandwagoned to Blackgate after CD lost ONE time. No specific hate for this guild as they seem like a good community, but server hopping to CD and then hopping off to a tier 1 server after 1 loss on CD is a bit…..lame.

These are the only 2 major guilds of Blackgate I know. No disrespect to Blackgate itself, obviously you guys have original guilds and such, but there cant be too much server pride existent, seeing as many of the guilds there came from other servers.

Unfortunately last time TC had a dolyak parade, I wasn’t online to raid it with BT and PD

Couple points I’d like to make on any misconceptions about FA:

1. Only 1 guild on FA right now truly zergs, and that is GODS. And trust me when we zerg you’ll know it(ie. EB this past sunday afternoon, sorry DB you were still in firing range of us at that point). Just an FYI we have only truly zerged once this entire matchup so far. We usually do it a bit more…

Sometimes we have enough to do 2 or 3 groups of 10-20 on the same map, not counting any other “special forces” type group we may have going. Tough luck if we appear on your map.

You’re lucky this week that most of the guild has been leveling their alts in WvW.

2. A guild like RET may get 20+ players on at once, but most of the time they run 10-15. And when they do, you’ll know it. I saw RET defend SMC the other day and push through a larger MAG force that was on the walls. Should have been a pitched battle…as both forces saw each other. Nope RET gut punched through them and that was it.

3. BT…welp you can watch their weekly recap videos and decide yourself what kind of work they do. I will say this: They will farm you regardless of what you think of them. In regards to the video…looks like the forces were equal to me. Its more telling that both MAG and DB allowed BT to flank them like 3 times. Smart commanders like Quenta can almost always count on the opponents not realizing whats going on most of the time. Perhaps you should think about getting on Quenta’s level instead of complaining about it.

4. We have several other EST guilds that are doing awesome. HOPE has recruited some, and they can roll with 10-20 on any given night…but they aren’t on every night. They are busy doing awesome stuff like dungeon races.

5. I can’t speak for our oceanics, as some of them are still pretty new to me. I do know that they are AWESOME.

6. If you want to 5vs5, head on over to sPVP. FA’s WvW guilds are too busy taking and/or defending stuff or wiping you.

We wiped RETS 15 man the other day actually.

LOL? I have never seen OG, besides the 50+ troll/QQ posts in the forums, I have never seen you in game, and 99% of my time in Gw2 is running along with, or leading RET.

You are a forum warrior, everyone knows it. And trust me, the most entertaining thing(yes,sometimes even better than playing Gw2) is just reading all your tears pouring out onto this thread.

So please, continue. How bad is RET? How bad is BT? and How kitten good is OG?

Is Hello Kitty Hit Squad [HKHS] still around? That was my guild on Magrubma for about a week before I decided to move to FA. Haven’t seen one person with the tag

One thing I’ve noticed about Maguuma is the amazing reaction time, me and my 5-7 man group would go to a camp, and if there was one person there to report it, more thiefs (usually from kitten ) would show up, and keep coming and coming and coming until they outnumber us and finally kill us.

Reminds me of those terrible,terrible days of trying to take Golanta from TC. Frustrating to say the least, and it is definitely applaudable.

Anyways, back to QQ!

BT is a great guild, the most organized on Fort Aspenwood. Anyone calling it a zerg can go back to QQing about how your 5 man squads cant take over entire maps.

I once again remind you: Tier 8 is open for transfers.

To all the maguumans complaining about zergs: There is still time to move to tier 8 where you can take entire maps with 5 people!

Lots of fun tonight in DB BL! I gotta say it seems like Maguuma was overhyped, unless this is just a really messy reset like FA does most of the time.

Best transfer times are during Euro/Asia prime.

With most guilds transferring to Kaineng/Maguuma, Fort Aspenwood is going to need more around the clock coverage and devoted guilds to fight them.

Some things that Fort Aspenwood offers:

-Very friendly/tight-knit WvW community: Most guilds have been here from the start and respect each other, and the new ones that have come are immediately a part of the community and will not feel foreign.

-Persistent fighters: after fighting an uphill battle for 10 WEEKS straight in tier 3(most out of any server) we finally got some transfers that allowed us to take the lead. This is not a server that backs down when we see a low score number. This is a server that fights to win.

-Little to no ques: During EST primetime, you may see short ques in EB or FA BL, but there will always be a map with no que, and most maps have no ques besides that one primetime.

-VERY active forum site: Fort-Aspenwood.com is a site that many members of FA use. It is a great way to get to know the community, or discuss tactics and events.

-Community Teamspeak: The Teamspeak 3 on Fort Aspenwood is fairly new, and many guilds/players have already switched over to it for the good of the server. Your guild will get its own section in the Ts3 upon request, and there are also rooms for each BL map.

-Cookies

Hmm, it is interesting, if you look at the earlier pages in this thread. 80 percent of it is CD bashing on the IoJ players for leaving the server.

How ironic.

Fort Aspenwood is one of the best servers to transfer to right now. Here’s a few good things I like about the server.
1. Little to no ques, except in EB/Home BL at NA primetime with a 10 min que MAX.
2. Strong core of big WvW guilds, with a WIDE variety of small tactical strike guilds who will take out all the camps and do the good work to back up big guilds.
3. Amazing server website, Fort-Aspenwood.com, very active and used by almost all the members of the FA WvW community.
4. Very nice people. Many servers(cough maguuma) will get mad about guilds transferring to their server. Here in Fort Aspenwood everyone respects each other, and you will find a warm welcome upon transferring.
5.Very consistent. 10 weeks in tier 3, despite all odds. Only now do we have the numbers to win tier 3, and we will go much farther from here on.

Well, seeing as I’ve talked to leaders of several and so far, they don’t plan on leaving, it seems to just be KH. We also gained sF, who are in the process of transferring over.

Actually, I’ve talked to the leader of sF, and they chose Fort Aspenwood to come to.
They sent about 40 guys to CD and then changed their mind.

Fort Aspenwood is currently winning T3, and looking for more guilds to ensure that we are competitive soon in the Tier 2 bracket.

All the guilds that recently moved here know that we are extremely welcoming and accepting.

Just a thread to speculate on the new tiers after all the servers settle.
Tier 3: TC-FA-SBI

I would put SBI in tier 4 maybe even tier 5.

CD and DB will most likely be fighting over tier 3 each week, with FA and TC (Oh boy who can wait) duking it out every week for T3 victory.

Yeah, it really all depends on how bad SBI got hit, and how big Kaineng and Maguuma have gotten.

Although we only need a few more big guilds in my opinion and then I would say we are solid Tier 2.

Fort Aspenwood, even though getting some new guilds recently, could use more in the EU time slot, and basically any time but NA could use more guilds.

Why? Because Fort Aspenwood is the next Tier 2 server. After 10 weeks of Tier 3 consistency, its time to move on. Join us in our fight!

Bump for the most consistent server in T3! 10 weeks straight of fighting against all odds and staying in T3.

With 10 guilds joining from IOJ, giving an oceanic presence to compliment our NA presence, I’d say Fort Aspenwood is a pretty good place to call home before you have to pay.
