I’m not particularly worried. While the new mesmer stuff is certainly interesting and probably strong, every class is getting a buff, and we haven’t seen what the thief specialization is yet.
thief specialization will get the revealed buff for 60 secs and endurance regen lowered!

the 1500 range aoe of nades is okay. Condi spec won’t work well, as zergs clear em quickly.

Youre concentrating on the one class and from running a executioner d/p build. I can tell you thieves dont have a single skill that does more damage than your rapid fire does to them and they still wont.

edit: realized the condi weapon set p/d doesn’t have head shot
with the inc changes, they made invigorating precision and ricochet on the same trait line. I’ve been using those two together to sustain better. Maybe add a damage reduction while channeling unload? I just want p/p to be a little more viable lol.
i find it silly that people say fight guilds don’t contribute to ppt. In reality they occupy the opponents and if they’re successful, some of the opponents fair weather away leaving the enemy server with less people to play the ppt game.

Your shouldn’t be running blindingly into CCs in the first place. If anything you eat CC so your backline/damage can do its thing.

Actually, guildie showed me a thief combo the other day that will let them catch you from 1800 away. There’s no getting away from that, running away just means you’ll die tired.
thief just blew half of his utillity or used one of their stunbreakers already.
you can do the same with rifle warriors. or let us not forget two thieves that stealth eachother then out of nowere does 20k+ backstab damage and disappears.
20k? my backstab does an average of 6k. Another thief similar to my glass build would add up to 12k.

I think this fix is legit, but something else need to be addressed too.
All the CC fields that have infinite targets should be fixed to apply up to 5 targets only. Static field shouldn’t cut stabilities from 100 players, and wall of warding shouldn’t block 100 people from entry.
