also most named exotic gs seem to always have the primary attribute condition for some reason…
gw1 had a more “mechanical” combat system which made 8v8 okay, which felt like taking turns on skill usage. Gw2 on the other hand has a much more “free” combat system that allows you to use combos, universal boons, dodge rolls, etc to fight. Also its fun to watch something like a 15v15. It becomes epic and being in one is really fun.
rock keep, lifting things up, idk but I kinda like the old fashion combat system and not worrying about random holes …
If it is a pvp mode then most likely there will be limited stat combos i believe.

I think the best right now is hopefully optimistic. If they take the best of the current WvW maps and build from that, it will be good. If they build form EotM, it will be trouble.

Very clearly a natural extension of EotM. It’s pretty clear they’ve learned nothing. Plus zero talk of dealing with what’s really killing WvW: copulation and coverage.

I understand what xDudisx says and I accept that s/he likes it… I still say it is not really optimal. A healthy mix of soldiers/knights/berserker/celestial is the way to go…

In a 1v1 perspective where the enemy stay and fight full celestial is the best by far. It is basicaly the op build from spvp adapted to wvw.
Yup, it’s pretty much the ele version of running condi thief or PU mes. Low risk/ high reward. The trade off is the higher the number of people in the fight the less effective the build becomes.
To be fair celestial ele works great up to 5-10 player group if you run d/d. Staff works for anything but more than 10-15 you are not getting much benefit from the healing power and condi because the way condi clear is so abundant in larger scale.
Your comparison is terrible though. Ele is much higher skill cap and risk than PU mesmer p/d thief.
d/d cele eles can sustain longer than most builds.

even if you have the build can you survive?
I once took at 14k Killshot, and now they are making that skill 40% faster (thanks to some twisted game intentional unbalancing). If a warrior is stealthed there is no way to even see it coming. No skill should do more than 8k at full max berserker. In comparison it take 400% more time to cast a churning earth that does 50% less damage with a class that has 50% less hp.
You can reflect it.
when you see a gold norn with a large charzooka aiming at you, expect a 15k killshot!

are you sure a mesmer ,warrior ,guardian, ranger, engineer, necromancer, or ele can kill you quickly as well?
most of time 2/5 are guardians. The rest can be whatevers. But i’m the best so there is no need for a 5 man group!
only a wvw player would spend a couple of hours to teach the new players the basics, give them guild invites, tell them to stick to your mentor like glue , and to never log back in after they said that was very exciting ;_;

I also wanna put my opinion out there… Don’t consider t2 (imo). t2 has done, and is continuing to do, more to harm this game than any tier in the game. Not only are they actively attempting to drain players from servers that need people (my server has been the recipient of this for quite a while now), their own tier is beyond messed up. No matter what 3 servers are in the matchup, there will be a virtual 2v1 (db/yb will focus sos/fa, and either of those servers will tend to focus one server, even each other, instead of splitting their focus evenly, so it’s almost always 2v1). 4 tier 2 servers and only 3 spots for them (meaning 1 spends weeks in t3 doing nothing but k train, and it’s even worse for the people getting k trained cus everyone decided to stack on these servers). T3 sucks, yeah, but T2 isn’t doing so well and t2 servers get stuck in t3 too. Please don’t contribute to the problem by stacking on them further.
Any server in tier 4/5 will be a more balanced experience. Ppt is valid and so are fights, w/o 2v1s. Lots of variety between the 5 servers and potentially even more if t3 gets sorted, seeing as GoM beat IoJ and GoM has been beaten by SBI/Dh. It’s small enough scale for roaming but large enough that zerg action is available nearly around the clock.
Just imo.
there was a similar situation in silver league a couple of months ago. Than season 3 came.
Soloing dungeons seems to be a popular yardstick for measuring how good someone is on an individual level
meh, you’re fighting A.I.s. Fighting actual players is more challenging.
come now, capture 2 camps solo, and do 1 easy pve daily and you’re done!

meh, roamers are all the same, although i have never solo roamed in T1. There will always be the good duelist/roamer, condi tanks, and the slow ones whose zerg has left behind in every tier. Haha, yeah I also tend to go zerg fighting with my roaming build. Gotta enjoy the game’s combat system.

I find it really hard to believe even the absolute worst possible technical issue related to these achievements that no one at Anet could come up with a simple solution. What would be so hard about making new achieves, archiving the old ones in an invisible state, and applying progress to the new achieves from the old achievement data? The script to do this is not that hard to write. If someone thinks they didn’t get their progress, the CSRs can look at the archived ones.
It’s quite sad to have left an entire category of achievements broken this long. They’re all literally 40 years to finish, that’s not even poor design that’s just a bug.
Maybe Anet expects the game to be up for 40 years. In that case, the achievements make perfect sense
In all seriousness, the achievements need some rework. I understand that they’re meant to be a long term goal, but at this point some of them aren’t even achievable.
Here’s a suggestion: why not keep the current requirements and AP, but add more tiers? This way there isn’t a huge gap in the numbers (like in the Yakslapper achievemet).

if you really want a sense of winning/competition, than go to normal wvw because in eotm, nobody would care about the score. Everyone there is farming or leveling their alts.
i will have to agree with Arius. Larger scale battles with the average pug is pretty bad, about half of a pug zerg will listen to commander, not much GWEN is shown, and fair weathering is a larger factor imo . Maybe its the fact that these lower tier servers always fight the same servers and never really improve if they keep farming the same bodies.

my cleansing would take away something like 2 stacks of vulnerability instead of the 3 stacks of confusion.
If you don’t choose both, then:
Air is 3sec CD and higher single target damage than fire
Fire is 5sec CD and multi target damageSo the logic behind that is, these people want higher single target damage.
I typically choose both. I have a these zerker shortbows:
SB1 – Air/Fire
SB2 – Purity/Generosity
SB3 – Air/Energy
SB4 – Energy/Hydromancy
SB5 – Air/StrengthI’ll use any one of them depending on build.
Don’t even get my started on my vast zerker sword/dagger/pistol collection, or my variations on other sets. The bank/inviso bag space is REAL.

If you are on a low tier server, they are all mostly active (except for SF and BP). You just need the right guild. most of the people on these forums ay only tiers 1-3, and don’t know a thing about activity in most of the low tier servers (T7-8). It is most likely you just play at a time that has lower activity.
tbh lower tiers have a more frequent encounter against condi perplex trash because of less population in general. Ever since DR went downward, the bronze league servers i’ve faced against field in lots of conditions, even in 5v2s, 4 of the 5 are facerolling builds. Of course every server have these people but roaming at this time and stage of the game is dying but its always good practice to try to face against those bunkers, i suppose.

I got knocked backed twice by two arrows and wondered how. When I held down my ctrl button there were 2 archers stacked at the nw tower in bls.
Can we have Mimic back to absorbing projectiles? why was it changed anyways?

Is the Condition reduction put into CD as soon as one of the conditions is applied to you? or is the condition reduction part of the trait stays passive and the regen is put into CD?
Ricochet. Much simpler. Each pistol adds 150 to range. Thus one pistol 1050 two pistols 1200.
hmmm this will just make us like another pew pew ranger. But even if this was implemented, the ranger’s LB still would have more utility than the p/p set.
also with anet messing with the achievements for season 3, new players wouldn’t have to bother with regular wvw. They would’ve done the achievements in etom. Usually i volunteer myself to train the newbies. But that didn’t really happen for season 3…
every season I’ve noticed the general wvw population shrinks. s2 burnt out probably the most players out of the three tournaments.
