To all the people complaining that core specs are not as strong as elite specs: This is precisely the way it is supposed to be. How disappointing do you think this addon would be if elite specs would be equally strong to regular specs, thus being rarely picked up? Imagine all the addon basically changing nothing for most specs. Don’t make people that buy the game be disappointed because a few players who can’t be bothered to spend 40 bucks / 20 bucks.

If you think Anet should just make non hot specs and hot specs equally strong then you are deluded. We just had the first season where most classes are finally somewhat equall. Do you really think they could manage to balance two specs per class?

I will complain because I was cheated by a-net. They were saing that elite spec. will give us a new way to play our class. Instead we got upgrades that are a must have to play decent.

And stop telling me kitten fings about how cheap this game is. Maybe in USA 40/20 bucks is not much but when U see the currency exchange for some countires and an averrange salary U maybe change a little bit U’r opinion.

I agree with you.
I have 4 paid GW2 accounts (1 collectors) . 2 of them are core accounts and 2 with hot.
Anet made the game free . But i paid for it and i want my core accounts can survive in pvp. Find a way to limit the free ones i don’t care how but find it. U can’t equal us with them.
The only classes i can play on core and be decent cause of my experience are Trapper Ranger, Support-Bunker Guard and mm necro.

There are more core classes that can be decent in pvp and true is U don’t need hot at all to be competitive. I’m plaing core hybrid mes, core condimancer, and core burn guard and I need to say they can do great when fighting meta hot builds. But also this core builds need some team compositions to shine. With out it in many time plaing them is like hitting in the wall with U’r head.

For the amount of insane sustain they have, their damage needs nerfed. It needs to go one way or the other. They’re basically bunkers with damage. My friends are constantly talking about how they break 700k in games when I’m with them, all while holding points 1v2 and pretty much never dying.

The overall damage that is show at the end may confuse a little. I sam that when have games with alot of sustain, when none team can get an advantage I get bigger damage values. Long story short when I play bunker I get bigger overall damage.

Just change lithany of wrath for shelter. Shelter in this build is defensively damaging skill thanks to ampliefied wrath and smiter’s boon. It blocks, heal, condi clear, attack and put burn with every block. It’s great with retaliation in first battle on mid or when U’re focused.

I’m making arounr 400k to 650k condi damage in match with this build, and it gives a lot of condi clears for U and some for U’r teammates.

Why are you using GS and not using DH elite? How do you deal with intakillers like daredevil, rev or power warriors?

Don’t have HoT yet. With DH this build can do a lot more for sure.
GS is for it’s skills, it have lot of aoe, it have a gap closer, it is great for combo with fire field and also give some raw damage to. This build is better in team fights then in solo and it have some hard times with eles but it’s a killer for power revs, thiefs, rangers and many times mesmers (mes hate’s aoe).

DD can be hard to fight but whey are weak to condis, and in bad situations I.m using my blinds, virtues with shealter (I made mistake in build I linked) and when needed renewed focus. In short use retaliation and block

Confussion is punishing condi it’s as it is. It hit hard or KO only when Your not careful enough to not use skill or just cleanse it. And I think it’s making it pourpose.

When it’s engi it is 3 sec. only. Longer is mes signet of humility and now it gives 6 sec. of moa.

Just use 5 skill to evade/run out or 2 skill to jump out.

I would like to see mes with a spear but on the ground, not in water. (models of weapons are there so why not).

We still get 4 shatters but they change in new attacks:
F1 – U jump/teleport to target location (maybe ground targeted) and deal damage in 360 radius – damage incres with ilusion level but U hit only 1 time,
F2 – throw U’re spear in the target hitting 5 targets in the line, spear pierce,
F3 – throw or jump to U’re target and stun him for 1 sec.
F4 – block all attacks and missles around U in 360 radius.

And spear will be our melee to mid range weapon with some mobility because with out mobility mes is dead.

Do you feel S3 is better than S2?

If guardians are so bad can someone tell me how to beat them? Because i get one shot by them regularly on warrior, thief and necro. Don’t tell me not to stand in their traps because i can’t beat them at range and if i try they just pull me in anyway. If I dodge to set off traps they just drop new ones if they were already setup.

I see teams with multiple guardians win all the time in sapphire. The game shouldn’t be balanced based on what pros use because that is not 99% of pvp. If anything guardians need a nerf.

You can’t win a guardian with a warrior? How do you even do that? You dodge the first ones, shield blocks alone can tank you through most of the trap damage on the second wave. If they SoJ you midblock, drop endure pain and watch the guardian die because they have no burst left after the traps expire.

Ok so U got one of them, and what U do with the other one/two/three.
I know that one dh is easy to kill but when U got 3 or more in opposite they will whipe Your team in no time.

Thanks for all advices.

A good meta berserker with a support ele on hand is going to sustain everything.

For me even without ele he is freaking durable. I thought I will need to learn to kite better but in team fights it’s hard and wars are very good in taking out of a fight in no time.

Anyway I think that null field is my new good friend

Ps. It will be great if we can get some on interupt boon remove.

I need an advice, how are You dealing with warriors? And by that I mean newest meta build with a lot of condis.

Give us something to survive the freaking condition pours of the current game
the guardian/DH can’t survive pvp with the amount of conditions that the other professions can put on us and the condition ticks kills slowly if not first encounter fight with 10K or less survive that ?! give us some passive cleansings on some traits /skills of weapons then we can survive a bit in pvp

U can still be vialable, U still bring the same utilieties like with chrono. Good option agaimst chrono is signet of domination and pistol for stunlocking. They do not have many stunbreaks

Good to know I’m not the only one that have dh problems on point.
Playing hybrid base mes with sage sc/sw gs and traveler.
Thiefs are easy to kill but when they suprise me and I’m not 100% with life I’m dead in 5 sec.
Also not suprise that condi/ imterupt wars can be a pain in the a..
For now just had few games played.

I was thinking about blured frenzy, but before U burst me with hate flame it was sarcasm. For me UT is also overpowered, but still my favorite mesmers can outmanuver revs with good portal play. And UT is thematically must have for revs like blured frenzy for mesmers.

My question is between Sage and Carrion – which is more useful?

Sure, 4 stat amulets have more stat points, but given how negligable healing power is does Sage offer much benefit beyond slightly higher direct damage (and lower condi damage)?

For me now better work Sage, with carrion I feel like my raw damage is to low and that makes problems when fighting ele’s and druids.
For me 1050 power and condi is a must have, and cause mesmer don’t need precision to hit with confusion and torment I will always chose power/condi amulets.

Ok so for now the best option for condie mes in my opinion is sage amu. Same power and condi as merc, buff to vit and almost useless healing but it give U enough damage.
But now theres no chance to take down two thiefs like with merc, and even one thief or war can wreck me down in seconds.

To my hybrid core mes I’m using sage amu. Just started to use it, and I need to say it give the same damage but I need to be more focus, specialy when playing against thiefs and wars. I.m a little bit more squishy but I still can do enough in team fights.

What are you guys onto about? Merc amulet was the sole reason condi builds were so strong. This is a good change. Now they’ll either go glass condi or power, not both. Their skills would not hit for much, leaving most of the damage to be done through conditions. Which should’ve been the case to begin with. There shouldn’t exist any +power +condi.damage amulets. Ever. Otherwise the AI play is too strong. It’s the one thing I don’t like about this game’s PvP.

Not condie but hybried builds, and it was used by condie players because ther is none other amulet that give U condi dmg with vit and toughness. And if U did not realise condis need time to kill an oponent, and still they can be cleansed just by one click skill. Going condi U need time and tanky stats give U that.

Mesmer status since Merc Amulet is gone...

As chrono U can try to to use Destroyer or Sage. U will be more fragile but still can get some damage from condis.

As core mes U’ll be dead without merc.

Ok one question, when do U use moa, I mean in what situations? Do U realy need all 10 seconds in normal play. It’s mostly useful for necro (shroud, forms and minions), wariors and engies forms and maybe sometimes for druids. In everythig else mes had enough power to dominate an oponent.
Shorten cooldown could be nice but is not needed.

Mesmer with condi or hybrid build can also do well. They don’t do double moa and don’t create so much clones as chrono but can still get enought damage and sustain.

Hahaha. The thing is I don’t give a kitten about the complaints of the Polymorphee.. All I am seeing is valid concerns about the use of double elites. However the only one that is truly out of line is the Moa. My main reason for this was to find a way to balance out the effects of double moa without doing something that would cause harm to the playstyle of the mesmer himself.

It still IS a bad thing even with changes to the moa itself. You lose your weapons. Your utility skills. Your class mechanics. All those traits that keep you alive. There all gone. Adding a Minor ability to fight back against it is well in line with how Moa already works. It still has attacks and movement skills. All I am suggesting is a change to the forms skills. Not how the Moa itself will affect the player.

When using this as a coordianted gank method. The player is gonna be just as dead whether he recieves these buffs or not. All these changes would do would give the moa’d player a chance to fight back once there hit by it.

My goal was to make moa Slightly less of a “I Win” button outside of coordinated burst situations without harming the mesmers ability to Moa or the frequency at which it CAN Moa.

Good sayed. That’s why I think that giving a resistance to moa will be good idea. Condi mes (meta now) will need to choose when to use it and moa will not be a “win button” skill in 1v1

So would these changes work for you? How about the mesmer mains here? Feel free to speak up. How would you feel if the person you Moa’d had more capability to be annoying while moad. Still locked out of the things they are currently locked out of. But more likely to be able to disrupt you and your team if you get overconfident.

I main mesmer and U can see my earlier post. I think it will be easies way to make something about cs-moa complains.

The problem with CS is that most pvp-ers will take the change to not work on elits but almost all pve players will hate that change because they will loose quickness uptime from time warp.

I would rather sugest changes to moa form, maybe let it get stability like all other transforms or maybe let it get resistance for the transform time.
It will help to survive against condi chrono in 1v1 and still be vialable to put oponent down in team fights.

I forgot to say that I was using hammer plaing as warrior and I found it effective. I know that hammer do not hit as hard as it use to but it still can confuse mesmers.
I’m also not saying that mesmers are weak, hell no mes is really op.
I’m just saying use ur cc, use signet that in active give U unblocable hits and mes will be suprise and dead in a second.

As a mes main I can advice U that war has best tools to fight condi chrono, his cc chains. But also is one of easiest proffesion to kill in pair with thiefs becasue most players is making the mistake and is too agressive when figting mesmers. If U start to hitting hitting all U’r attack skills confusion U will for sure have on U will eat U in a second.

Most tips: try to keep a distance (we can use blink one time mostly – we don’t use cs for this skill) or stun lock us.
Oh and start loving hammer again – mes can’t do much when he flies all over the place.

Many time on my mes skill 3 Ilusionary rogue helped me to put my oponent down and even to kill him. I only wish it would not be on cooldown when U’r in down state.

I’ve tried both and in pvp U need to hit hard with condis, duration is not so important becasue in most cases they will be cleansed anyway after 1-2 ticks. And also sod is our longest stun, it is sometimes helpful (like for stomping thiefs or eles).

Build is nice and it work in unranked but when next season start it will mostly work in low division, not many experiance players will hit U’r block.

i dueled some good players (friends of mine) while contest a point. the idea was to prolong the fight thus the block ability was insane as you said they know when i am blocking and stop hitting me or get punished if they do.
also tried 1v2 which was much harder versus the mercenary amulet
also tried unranked atm in team fight and the dmg is much higher compare mercenary amulet
i think i saw also helseth trying viper amulet and doing pretty well.
this build has some weaknesses and good thief can jump on you and take you down fast especially in team fight.
sod or som is replaceable with portal or null or whatever you like. because i am squishy i test som as it blind and stunbreak which is nice when being burst without endurance.

I forgot that U don’t use dueling in u’r builds. I don’t have hot yet so I use duelling with blind on shatter and I always have defence with me.
Also I’ve always try to shut down any thief I have in oposite (I love to destroy them and with cofusion and torment it’s a plessure) so I prefer mercenary with me.

First of all I know that right now war is in bad possition in pvp, so please don’t write to pick another class. I would like to give it a try and learn how to play war good in pvp and I’m looking for some build that will give me some space to learn, and some time to mae mistakes.
