I am sitting at just over 400g. Probably have another 200g worth of crafting materials, exotics, etc. in my bank.
I would probably have more gold accumulated but I like giving new players a little financial help from time to time. =3
I’ve been working on getting screenshots of jails in the racial cities. But I’ve yet to be able to find a jail in Hoelbrak.
Is there a jail in Hoelbrak? If not, are there any places that could serve as a makeshift jail in Hoelbrak?
I want to give a few guildies and in game friends Christmas gifts but can’t really think of any cool gifts I could give them.
Maybe minis? Maybe an exotic or two? Or even something funny?
Any suggestions?
I’ve leveled 5 of the 8 classes, so I can only speak on those. That said, the Warrior or Guardian are the most survivable and are the most forgiving to a new player learning the game.
Also, Necromancer with minions can be fairly easy to learn and survive with, so long as enemies attacks your minions instead of you. =]
As far as race goes, none is really better than the other. Although there are race specific skills, none of them are far superior to others. So yeah, choose whichever race seems coolest to you.
Good luck and enjoy Guild Wars 2!
I’m sure some, if not all, of what I suggest has already been mentioned but oh well. Anyway, I suggest:
1. More diverse armor skins (namely, armor skins that have chest pieces similar to Pit Fighter chest, with more torso exposed. I like seeing my character’s tattoos, muscles, glow, etc.) for light, medium, and heavy armor wearers.
2. More finishers (maybe profession themed finishers?)
3. Cultural themed town clothing
4. Dye-able weapon skins
5. Another “Learn to Dance” volume
6. More diverse armor skins (namely, armor skins that have chest pieces similar to Pit Fighter chest with more torso exposed. I like seeing my character’s tattoos, muscles, glow, etc.) for light, medium, and heavy armor wearers….did I mention that already?
9/10
Definitely unique and fitting for an ele.
My thief is named Rallaxx.
I’m somewhat of an MMO noob. Guild Wars 2 is the only MMO I’ve played for an extended period of time (other than UO over 10 years ago).
I hear alot of folks talk about expansions and I’m just curious as to what an expansion usually contains. What would a Guild Wars 2 expansion likely contain?
Hey Guys,
I Guild Wars 2 dying?
No, it is not.
Despite what the naysayers would like everyone to believe.
^^^Yep. I constantly see folks, regardless of what map I am on (some more populated than others though), Lion’s Arch is always active, etc. The only areas that seem to be “dead” (at least on my server) are the racial home cities. Why that is, I don’t know.
But to answer the OP, no, Guild Wars 2 is definitely not dying.
I would like to see chest armor that exposes more of the torso. I really hope future armor skins will feature chest pieces that do that.
“When will then be now???”
“Soon…”
Seriously though, I hope hope hope an expansion is being worked on behind the scenes. I suppose time will tell.
Agree with OP completely – was extremely disappointed that the new Executioners costume (which is awesome btw ANET, great job!) should be wearable in the open world.
Yep. Very cool skin. But if I can only wear it out of combat I won’t buy it.
I will just stare at people in town wearing that skin.
I’m sure this topic is brought up a lot.
Kinda like when you posted basically the same thread in another section?
Seriously though, I agree I would like to see another way of storing my armor that can help me conserve bank space.
I would have doubtlessly bought at least two of those outfits were they armor skins. No point in me wasting money on town clothes.
I believe alot more folks would’ve bought these skins if they were armor skins rather than town clothes. I’ve heard several guildies echo your viewpoint and I am pretty much in the same boat.
Anet has pretty much stated that more cultural armors aren’t on the table for the time being. They want to focus on things that can apply to all players, not just a select group.
Hopefully its not completely out of the question, but I wouldn’t expect it any time soon.
Source?
I started playing at the end of January and have maybe spent $30 (give or take) on gems. That was before I realized I could trade gold for gems (/facepalm) and also before I figured out how to accumulate gold.
I’d love to see more sylvari-themed armors, but then I’d love to see more armors across the board:
A) medium non-trenchcoat chest pieces
B) heavy non-gigantic shoulders
C) light non-robe options
D) armor with tasteful particle effects
E) Charr armor that doesn’t look like an oversight (to be fair, there are some, but very few)
^^^^All this and then some. But to address the OP, yes, I want more Sylvari themed armor too.
SAB is like the McRib. Some people love it. Others hate it. Some are indifferent.
Some folks want it on the menu year round. Others could care less.
Anet is like Mcdonalds. They hope that through a periodic release cycle, the hype and excitement will be higher for the return of SAB/McRib.
XD
This . its marketing. it will come back. it was there for 30days.
PS: On this same note, pumpkin spice lattes need to be year round , rawr!
…and, for that matter, the Shamrock Shake! Rah!
I am about to equip my Guardian with full exotic armor and full ascended accessories. He is traited 0/0/30/30/10 btw.
I’m going to equip him with full Knight armor and Soldier accessories.
I’m looking for advice on what I should use in the upgrade slots for his armor and accessories.

That’s my wife. She was having a bad hair day.
They said it will be this year, at least it was in post about gw2 in 2013:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/looking-ahead-guild-wars-2-in-2013/Lots things from there is in game already, what still miss is new skills and traits and new legendary weapons and legendary gear and way to get precursor.
Hey thanks for the link. So at least if everything goes through as planned we will start seeing them before the end of this year. /cheer
Hate? No.
Extremely annoyed at? Yes.
Would I enjoying killing him, rezzing him, and killing him all over again repeatedly? You bet you sweet Sylvari kitten I would!
I surely hope so. And if I had to guess, at some point I would imagine there will be more cultural armor for each race. As far as when, I wouldn’t hold by breath.
A few months back, I saw a video of someone from Anet (Colin maybe?) saying that they were going to start introducing new skills and traits for all the professions.
So when is this supposed to happen? Has it already started and I just missed it?
Like the title says, I am suggesting/requesting more cultural armor sets be added to the game.
Whether they be purchased from the existing cultural armor vendors or new vendors be added I would love to see more cultural armor sets added to the game.
Heck, put them in the gem store and I will buy em (assuming they’re awesome XD)!
I would love to wear Sylvari armor on my Guardian. Right now I wear the pit fighter chest piece because I like seeing my abs (if Sylvari have abs), my skin pattern, and my glow.
If Anet would add more cultural armor that exposes more of my torso, I would GLADLY ditch the non-Sylvari armor.
Living Story takes precedence, everything else on indefinite hold.
….what?
Yes I am bumping the tribal topics, are they reading the suggestion forum?
I surely hope so.
rewards are every 25% health. So 75%, 50%, 25% and 0%
Ahhhhhh ok. So we were just horrible and didn’t even take off 25% of his life. Awesome!
We failed the event on my server. We didn’t receive a chest for failure. Unless I am missing something…..
I’m hoping for the Tengu as the first new playable race.
Also, I think it would be cool to at some point introduce a completely new playable race never before seen in Tyria.
I want to equip my Guardian with all ascended accessories. What is the cheapest way to do so without doing fractals? Or am I going to have to run fractals to get some ascended accessories?
I’ve got plenty of gold, badges of honor, and laurels.
Before I ever started playing Guild Wars 2 I was online looking at all the armor sets and picked the Tribal set for my Norn Necromancer. Once I made my Necro and started trying to find the armor set I discovered it was only available in PvP. =/
From what I’ve been told from people who played in Beta, this armor skin was in PvE during the Beta.
Also, there is an npc in Kessex Hills wearing the chest piece (the skill point just North of the Wizard’s Tower.
So please oh pretty please Anet, let us have this armor skin in PvE.
I watched a video a while back where I believe Colin confirmed that at some point there will be new playable races (I would link the video but I can’t remember where I watched it).
Does anyone have an idea as to when we might get a new playable race or races? 6 months from now? A year from now? 2 years?
My fingers are crossed for the Tengu.
I would like to see more medium and light armor chest pieces that expose more of the torso….at least with heavy armor there are a few skins like that.
I want to see my Norn’s tattoos, my Sylvari’s glow, and my human’s muscles.
But yeah, an option to hide chest armor would be cool too.
I think legendary weapons look cool and I respect the fact that someone put the time into earning something they wanted in game. Beyond that, I am indifferent towards the player I see with the legendary.
I have no plans of pursuing a legendary as I like the look of other weapon skins better.
I know we all have preferences for new playable races. But what race or races are the most likely to become playable in the future?
I am in favor of more armor skins in general.
As far as more revealing armor, yes, that too. I like seeing my Norn’s tattoos, my Sylvari’s skin patterns and glow, my human’s muscles, etc. Although there are a few heavy chest pieces that are “revealing,” medium and light armor are lacking in that department.
Anyway, yeah more armor skins please.
It quickly became evident that you like using a condescending tone towards others
Yeah reading these forums does that to me. I should stop. I’m actually quite a nice guy
That being said: if you are on any of NSP’s enemy servers, send me a whisper/mail and I will personally make sure to spoonfeed you the achievement, if I’m in a good mood.
Ha! Do you promise to hold my hand and sweet talk me while you do it?
They do it to make it HARD, because face-rolling optional content for achievement points instead of FUN is NOT the way a game should be designed.
If you can’t do it, FINE. You don’t have to! There is no exclusive reward for doing it.
Honestly, I don’t feel special wearing the Living Story flavour of the month backpiece because everyone and their mother has it. This stuff is too easy! I’m tired of people complaining about one certain aspect of the game being too hard for you.
I WvW all day and love jumping puzzles, and FINALLY something is added to the game that appeals to my niche, and all I see is people complaining and asking for it to be removed. Go kill 100’s of Aetherblades in Ascalon if you want easy content. You don’t have to do this.
There are 7 million things for you to do in GW2! What makes you think you have the RIGHT to be able to do every single darned piece of content blindfolded? If there are no challenges in the game, people leave. I know I sure would.
Granted, I know I am in wvw and that is the nature of the beast. But I kinda HAVE to reach the cache if I want the achievement.
This is my point exactly. It is an achievement, for you know…achieving something! The nature of the word there should tell you that it should not be a freebie. If you are not able to complete it, you don’t deserve the achievement. Simple as that. There are LOADS of achivements I know I will never get. But the difference is I do not feel entitled to them, and you do. It’s not a checklist of activities to be completed, it’s a collection of optional goals that show that you were able to complete a certain piece of content. You do not NEED to do them, and they should NOT be handed to you. You must ACHIEVE something to earn an ACHIEVEMENT. Duh!
Sorry for coming off rude. I just feel people don’t understand the purpose of this content, and I am appalled at the sense of entitlement you guys have.
I was honestly going to defend my post and explain how I just wanted to a voice a small complaint. But I decided to first take a quick look at your other posts.
It quickly became evident that you like using a condescending tone towards others.
That got me to thinking….maybe one day I can be more like you; a hard working, skilled player who EARNS their achievements. Until then I will sit back and expect Anet to come to my house, do the content for me, and hand it to me on a silver platter! XD
As the title suggests, I want to see more cultural armor skins in the future.
This game has way too many skirts, dresses, kilts whatever…
Even heavy armor has skirts!
I’d like to see more pants. Nice pants, tight pant, stylish pants. We need a fashion forum so we can talk about important things like… clothing.
Make it so!
^^^agreed.
I want to see more variety in armor skins all together. Hopefully it’s coming.
I have to agree with the OP. Couple the fact that I am horrible at jumping puzzles with getting constantly ganked trying to complete this one and you have one pain in the kitten cache.
Every time I’ve tried to complete this jp and reach the cache I’ve found there are enemy players camped out waiting to slaughter me. (they succeed too)
Granted, I know I am in wvw and that is the nature of the beast. But I kinda HAVE to reach the cache if I want the achievement.
It was suggested to me that I try leveling in WvW. I’ve been wanting to try out WvW and level my thief so that’s two birds with one stone.
Does anyone have any advice on how to best level in WvW and also be productive and helpful to other players?
Thanks
Yes PLEASE add this to PVE. This was the armor I wanted for my Norn Necromancer and as it turns out, it is currently only available in PVP. From what I have been told, this armor set was available in PVE during beta.
There have been multiple threads making this request. Surely by this point ANET knows that we the players want this.
No assault is worth working with the Flame Legion. We’ve been down that road before, nothing good can come of it.
Giving the Flame Legion direct control of all major transit would be a fools errand.
Agreed.
Allow the Flame Legion to attack Rata Sum. Then, when both sides are weakened, we strike! We eliminate two foes with one assault.
“Ah, the stench of humans.” -My charr warrior
It’s still bugged and I’ve tried multiple servers. The progress indicator hangs at 3/5 experiments and goes like that for a very long time.
Exact same thing here.
Well that makes three of us.
