Whose to say they don’t offer ascended gear from the current dungeons for a higher token price? Also infusion in GW1 protected you from a single attack from a single mob type, not saying it will be the same for GW2 but they are introducing a new mob type as well with the Kraka’s and their “special” hardened skin. Also i believe it just armor that can have the Ascended quality so no weapons will be better then exo’s.
All speculation at this point, have to wait til after the 15th to confirm or deny concerns. To be clear i don’t want a gear treadmill either, this first “expansion” will be the test of how they handle these types of additions, i eagerly await…

Well said. My guild has a consistent 4 on all the time(small group of RL friends), so we usually pug 1. It’s sad now that when doing AC we look for someone who is not 80 because we don’t want to hear the whining when they realize we kill all the bosses and trash packs and lower levels are usually fine with it or don’t know any bad habits yet.
It’s was even worse when we wanted to do TA. I happened to run it with a pug(not with my guild) and they skipped everything and i went along with it without a word because i was new to the dungeon and just wanted to learn it a little. Last night we wanted to do it as a guild and instead of dealing with a pug wanting to skip everything we just 4 manned all paths. Why do people skip husks at the start? They die in about 45 seconds. We killed everything except the spider packs in the “spider tunnel” before the boss that starts as sylvari and then transforms into a spider(fyora?). It was loads of fun and no path took us longer then 45 minutes with only 4 of us.
One tip on the spider boss(the one that shoots poison volley’s and a poison cone), a guardian can put up reflect wall on the volley and if done right the boss will wreck herself…good times.
Almost all warriors know by now no rune set beats sup. runes of the soldier combined with shouts and mending for healing skill.
yup. 3 shouts, 2 take off one con, 1 takes off 2 cons, and the heal takes 2 cons. problem solved.
So…you heard dungeons were hard, went in there for the first time ever and got rolled and then you came on the forums to tell us you were dieing a lot? On your first time in the dungeon you might have to waypoint zerg a few parts. But after LEARNING the dungeons they become very manageable and some become very faceroll easy without dieing.

Yea toughness and vit is good but you need to think more support and health regen when tanking in this game. Bosses in some dungeons hit incredibly hard and have crazy AoE so health regen and team support > lots of health/toughness. Think more support by using soldier runes(shouts remove a condition with tough/vit stats) and a shout build but then gear for damage. You will have less initial survivability and probably a little less survivability over all but you will be a much bigger help to your team with group heals and more dps. You’ll have 3 shouts that heal and take at least one condition off of everyone(shake it off will remove 2) per shout and if you use warhorn and spec for it your warhorn skills will remove a condition and change it to a buff as well, not to mention warhorn 5 ability is AoE weakness, so thats less damage to everyone.
AC is a poor example of a dungeon when talking group damage. Everything is avoidable for the most part and there is no real AoE damage going out. When you get to a place like CoE you will need much more group support to be a viable “tank”.
So really it comes down to you, do you think that holding agro 95% of the time and doing crap damage is more help to your team then holding agro 60-70% of the time and passing around group heals, condition removal, decent damage, and debuffs?
I know it can differ greatly by traits… but, generally, is this right?
Precision > Power > Condition Damage > Condition Duration > Critical Damage
Burst DamageAnyone done the math and figured out the order of damage stats for sword main hand & offhand?
I’m not sure anyone has done the math on it, maybe Yojack, check his threads. One thing to keep in mind is that you get 50% condition duration from traits and another trait gives you bleeds on crit so your assessment is probably pretty accurate, maybe switch power and con damage around though.
I run Yojacks build and use full rampager(power, pre, con) with soldier runes and with 2 carrion amulets(power, vit, con) because i tend to tank a lot more, but now that i think of it that extra vit probably isn’t doing much.

Couple comments for the OP to make AC a much better place. My guild and I steamroll all explorable paths of this dungeon and we don’t skip packs or bosses.
Kohler: His “cheese” 1 shot attack is very noticeable, he raises is sword and the “channeling” graphic shows up, wait a second and dodge or have a guardian put up agies(sp? the block buff). After that hes a joke, bring a stun breaker if you’re bad at dodging and you can usually stun break and roll out before you die. Lots of groups skip him but we don’t and when Anet make boss and chest loot better killing him will be even more worth it.
Gravelings One shot:
Actually only Graveling Scavagers have this ability so focus them first, bring a stun breaker or have a someone with stun breakers take the first jump. The tell is, they hunch back and do the channeling animation. Also a really good way to do it is have a guardian pull them and put his wall up so they jump into it instead of on to you. Keep in mind that if you stun break it the Scavager still continues to channel and its a cone AoE so get behind him and get free shots in for the duration, but stay away from their mouth.
Warriors with full cleric’s and spec’d to heal on shouts are pretty beastly tanks, but sadly they can’t compete with the guardians atm.
How so? Warriors has much more ways to negate damage In a degree that It can compensate for their lack of heal abilities, imho.
I mean, see how many seconds a Guardian can stay alive against a group of 20, In WvW. And compare It with a Warrior, both decently geared/traits/etc.
OH, i was talking more PvE. Yes they can negate damage but those abilities have long CD’s so after you use them your kind of screwed, where a guardian can just keep filling his HP back up and their group support is miles ahead of the warrior. Don’t get me wrong, i main a warrior and love tanking with him we just have less to offer, support wise, then guardians atm.
No they don’t unless they get stacks of a fury buff which most bosses don’t. However, bosses all have 2 buffs, one reduces CC and condition duration across the board(50% i think?). The second buff has 5 stacks and makes them immune to hard CC(can still cripple them), everytime you use a stun, fear, knockback, or daze the stack goes down by one until the buff falls off and then you can CC them and the stacks reset.
Warriors with full cleric’s and spec’d to heal on shouts are pretty beastly tanks, but sadly they can’t compete with the guardians atm.
The fact that the “holy trinity” is not necessary anymore may be disturbing but with a bit of organization, team play and coordination, dungeons are really doable and can bring you some fun.
The problem isn’t that I can’t do them or have a hard time with them. I just don’t find them challenging. I think everyone is taking what I say as I couldn’t do it, wiped, and now want to QQ on the forums about it, or that I don’t understand how to run a dungeon. That isn’t the case, I just don’t find it to be challenging or fun.
Personally for me I liked the researching part of raiding and dungeons in WoW… Looking up boss fights, finding and testing strategies, and raid and dungeon movements at specific times to counter different attacks(Tanks move boss here, DPS go here and kill this and then back on boss, Healers CC target and cleanse this ). It took coordination and organization to down a boss in WoW. I’m not saying GW2 needs to be like WoW, I’m just using it as a reference because everyone by now has heard, played, or seen WoW game play.
With that being said, I would just like to have challenging fights rather then walking in and spamming skills and then CC mobs and kiting them every time I get aggro. I played a Thief and anytime I took aggro I had to either use Disabling Shot(Single Mob aggro), or switch to Daggers and use Dancing Dagger(Multiple Aggro). I had full Toughness and Vitality Exotic Gear from Wv3 and Exotic Toughness/Vitality Accessory’s with Superior Rune of Divinity. I had a good supportive spec that I looked up on the Codex, so it wasn’t like we just rolled up in there and stared hitting stuff hoping for the best. Maybe it was playing a Thief and other classes are more fun to play in dungeons, but why should I be forced to play another class just to have a good time; even tho the other classes had to kite and CC as well(Besides the Bunker Guardian… He didn’t have to kite so much as everyone else :P).
If fights could be more dynamic, organized, and challenging without the Holy Trinity, then I would be happy with that. Personally seeing more raid like end game content would be nice, but I don’t see how any of that could work without a full time healer and tank.
I do a lot of Wv3 and sPvP and love this game as a whole, but I never do PvE and Dungeons because of what I said. I would like to do PvE and dungeons from time to time to take a break from PvP, but I just don’t find it fun due to the lack of challenge and organization.
But it’s just my opinion
Everyone is entitled to one, and thank you for taking the time to read my post and hope you don’t hold my criticism against me. :P
This is what you should have posted right away and you would have received far less hate.
However, many many games have what you like(WoW type raiding) so why would Anet add more water to a flooded market? I personally like both WoW style raids and Anet style dungeons. There are plenty of fights that are more then , “kite when i get agro” type encounters. Also there are guardian and warrior specs that allow you to face tank almost every boss in the game. I personally don’t want my guardian tank to just stand there and take hits while i just stand there and hit things and my healer just stands there and heals things…its boring and its been done to death in other games. WoW had tank and spank encounters and so does GW2, but not all encounters are the same in either game. And actually i find that GW2 has far more variety from dungeon to dungeon then WoW ever has.
But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion, i would recommend that you do more then one dungeon before you formulate that opinion, but whatever.

@TheRabbit
lol i know what im trying tonight!
F F F F F F F….splat…crap, repeat.
I will say that the fight is really fun done as intended, i assume it is easy because they had to account for non-true-80’s being in there.
HOWEVER the most FUN part comes in when you realize there is no armor penalties for dying and you run it with your guildmates and try to fear them off the ledges with well timed scarecrow kills….AMAZINGLY FUN. The funniest one is on the first jump down when the mad king ported to there and dropped a scarecrow, i timed the scarecrow kill right as a guildie jumped to the platform and he got feared right back off…..lol.
First off all I agree that the DR timer is a tad silly for short dungeons, but I really doubt that Anet will change it any time soon.
That being said in most cases it wont effect you. Most groups only run 1 dungeon (3 paths) and then do something else. And even if you do run multiple dungeons, it ll only trigger if you choose to do 2 short dungeons in a row (AC/CoF/TA).
The simple solution for me is to alternate a short dungeon with a longer one or stop and do something else in between.
yea i guess the dungeons our group needs at the moment is working against us. Still silly though.
This is long, skip to FACTS and bellow or the TL;DR if you hate reading.
INTRO
Hey all, figured i put some info down on the Diminishing Returns system and how its affecting my guild and my dungeon experience. I am doing so because when the DR was bugged(first implemented) the Dev’s said that they were shooting for 30 minute runs and some dungeon DR timers could be easily tweaked if needed.
PROBLEM
In a typical night my group runs 5 dungeons. We get 60 tokens for the first 4 and 45 for the 5th dungeon. So its fairly obvious to me that if you run 4 dungeons in less then 30 minutes in a row you will start getting the DR.
REASON
We run all AC paths then CoF paths 1 and 2(or in reverse order, CoF then AC). We are running these atm because multiple people want to finish their AC set and get the gift and people need to finish the CoF set and get cores(for the legendary dagger). When people finish those things we will run other dungeons but we only have time for about 5 to 6 runs a night.
HOW WE DO IT
COMP – Always Have – Warrior, Guardian, Necro
-Sometimes have(in order of most likely) – Thief, PUG, Mesmer(or a combo of those 3 obviously).
We kill everything in AC, this includes; spider, kohler, and troll if he spawns(sometimes we have troll and kohler fight cuz its fun and we take bets and then try DPS the one we bet against, adds some fun to a boss you have to kill every run). We kill the graveling packs in the scepter room as well.
In CoF, we do path 1 normally killing everything(don’t even think you can skip things here?). Path 2 we run the lava gauntlet agroing stuff in the way with one person on frost gun/babysit magg duty, then kill it at the end in one big AoE fest, hopefully magg follows and isn’t less then smart about it. Not that it matters for time but we also kill the bomb room normally because we find it really fun to try kill everything before magg hits 100%(done it twice so far).
We usually PUG at least one(I’d say this is the case 80% of the time). We sometimes pug 2 and sometimes none. The PUG’s are always surprised that we kill all bosses in AC and do the maggs bomb plant legit. So it’s clearly not the norm to kill as much as we do but we still get the DR because we are good???!!!
FACTS
Sadly i haven’t timed all of the runs but i will update this thread with exact numbers when i do(possibly with videos as proof), so some assumptions are made below:
AC P1: 20 to 30 minutes: 60 Tokens
AC P2: 20 to 30 minutes: 60 Tokens
AC P3: 20 to 30 minutes: 60 Tokens
CoF P1: 15 to 20 minutes: 60 Tokens
CoF P2: 16 minutes(basically had a flawless run last night): 45 Tokens
(Keep in mind it always the 5th dungeon that get’s DR’d, above is usually how we run it but AC P3 is the 5th dungeon some nights).
REQUEST
So whats my request?
Decrease the DR timer for the easier dungeons to 15 minutes. I know that the 5 dungeons listed above can be done legit in less then 30 easily, which other ones can be? I heard TA was easy but can it be done in >30 minutes without skipping mobs?
Well this got long, thanks to the Devs for reading, and everyone else who made it through too.
TL;DR
Many(5 that i know of) dungeons can be done in less then 30 minutes legit killing everything. You get DR’d after doing 4 dungeons in less then 30 minutes. Requesting a change to 15 minutes for some of the easy dungeons.

VERY fun puzzle.
DR in the Mad Kings Labyrinth is just not cool. Basically saying, “Enjoy our awesome limited time event, but only for an hour at a time”
Killed him last night, the entire path 1 run took 15 minutes.
@Blueroseknight
your right, there are a lot of whiners and entitlement post in here, got me there. I don’t personally feel entitled to anything but i felt that, letting Anet know making paying customers feel cheated is bad for everyone, was the right thing to do.
@Adein
Thats cool math but you should read this: .012% chance….good times.
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/72647-black-lion-chest-halloween-r-d-thread/
I’ll say this. I can understand wanting at least some compensation for your money . However, realistically unless you get that rare skin you just aren’t going to feel compensated. What would you suggest? Any items they add to soften the blow won’t be enough .
Also i sympathise more with people who don’t whine, and i know not everyone in this thread is a whiner. However the majority have been and it’s just the wrong way to act, because it was 100% clear what you were paying for, and that’s a fact.
I guess my post could be misconstrued as a whine, my bad. I personally don’t care about spending my money to gamble with. Although i will say that technically it wasn’t 100% clear what people were paying for, since no one knew what the drop rate was, most didn’t expect it to be so low, live and learn i guess. The problem is, Anet is not giving me/others an incentive to gamble in the future. It doesn’t matter why people who spent money are mad(not me personally), it matters that they are mad and won’t spend money in the Gem shop to support GW2 in the future. I worry for the longevity of GW2 if they continue to make paying customers mad, that’s all.
@Rickets
Just a thought, but this event goes on for a week or so. We already know that content will be added periodically specifically for this event all that while. Why would anyone spend all their money on the first day and then decide that, because they didn’t get what they expected (‘cause we all know that the odds are always in our favor and not anyone else’s), Anet is obviously greedy and uncaring about their customers. I’m sorry, but that sort of attitude is childish; gimme what I want, what I expect or I’m going to raise holy smoke and take my toys home forever.
Now, not that I’m accusing anyone here of this, but coming from 7+ years of GW1, I know that there are those who rush in, essentially grab up/buy the special goods as soon as possible and then re-sell, driving up the market prices. Perhaps Anet took that into consideration (it is a valid idea) and deliberately drizzled out the chance rate so that wouldn’t happen so soon. I don’t know – and neither does anyone besides the developers – what the actual percentage is, but apparently there are individuals who have opened chests and received special goods since there are apparently ones for sale.
Heck, I’m reading 17 pages (just this thread alone) of people griping and griefing – and I was tickled pink today to get really good armor drops on my girls and gleefully looked forward to finding pumpkins to carve, candy corn nodes and trick-or-treat bags fall from foe.
You’re missing the point. I personally don’t give a crap about my $30 i spent, i have the money. But, i want GW to succeed and it will not succeed if the people willing to pay real money don’t feel that paying real money is worth it. Don’t kid yourself, there are two types of players in GW2, freeloaders and Gem buyers. If you kitten off all the Gem buyers and turn them into freeloaders you’re not going to make much money are you, which translates into no new content for anyone…and eventually no money = no GW2.
What would have happened if i would have spent $30 and got 2 or 3 event items but not the ones i wanted? I would have bought another $30 worth of keys. Do you see how it’s in Anet’s best interest to make people willing to buy Gems feel like they are getting what they pay for?
People like the OP are missing the point. I don’t care about my $30. But, Anet gave me and many others absolutely NO incentive to spend more money ever again. It’s going to be hard to make money and keep the game running if you don’t give the people willing to spend money a reason to do it.
And for the stubborn people that won’t spend real money ever and come into these forums and call us dumb and whatnot…who do you think is paying for these content updates…that’s right it’s the players who will spend real money to support a game they enjoy. Do you honestly think it’s in Anet’s best interest to anger people who are willing to buy Gems, we are voicing our opinions in hopes Anet will want to make better business decisions in the future.
@FalconDance
How does “it being the first day” of the event negate the fact that people spent $100 or more and feel cheated? Will Anet refund their money later on in the event? ….no they won’t.
Silly quoting not working.

I work a good job, I have some disposable income to throw around, last night I blew about 30 dollars on gems to open some 40 or so lockboxes. didnt get crap. so now youve basically killed any goodwill and potential future sales with me forever.
Lets play what if now. what if those 40 boxes yieldes 3 or 4 skins, even if a majorty of those skins I couldnt use immediately, id be very temped to bust out my credit card and keep making purchases of gems so I could get all the vanity items for each of my current and future toons. When all is said and done you would have had me for probably a bit over a hundred bucks easy.
A feeding frenzy like this from me every 3 months or so rounds out to about 400+ a year. Thats far better than 15 a month. Even better is if the skins were on sale on the gem store for around 10 bucks each. all the shoulder armors plus all the weapon skins and again, people would easily drop 100 bucks to unlock and purchase evrything. As is yeah, you suckered a few people with this nonsense but I doubt its gonna go over as well for your next event.
way to gimmick your playerbase and thin out your die hard supporters who WERE willing to throw gobs of money at you IF you played nice. Not so much anymore.
____________________________________________
This 1000 times this. I blew ~$30 on keys too, i don’t care that i did it, i have the money. But thats it, you wasted your chance to make me spend more…ever. Kinome hit the nail on the head, what if i got a few event items but not the ones i wanted with my $30 bucks? I would have spent another $30 because i knew event items were obtainable. With this “system” it does not encourage me to spend anything after the first round of nothing. Other people have mentioned how Riot Games runs LoL’s cash shop, I blew more money on that game then I ever thought I would, because i got what i paid for everytime without fail.
Sorry but you turned off a large percentage of your paying customers. Turning people willing to buy Gems into people that won’t buy Gems is a poor business decision last time i checked. I will still play and enjoy your game but I will do it for free.
I’ll start by saying, i know its a chance to drop and there is no guarantee of getting the new skins, this is to keep the weapons rare…fine. But, other companies just put stuff like this up for $25 or something. Players spend $25 and get the exact thing they want.
Anet this thread is 11 pages long because people are spending money and not getting anything of value. I personally spent about $20 and got nothing, others are reporting 120(~$100?) keys and nothing…thats a lot of money for nothing. No its not directly your fault that these people wasted their money, it was their choice, however it is a shady way to do business.
Here’s my stab at a solution, not perfect but whatever its early:
Put some code in that slightly increases your chances for a Halloween item for every chest you open that doesn’t contain one, once you’ve opened $25 worth of chests make a random Halloween item drop and reset the chances of getting one. So, rich folk can spend $25 to guarantee a random Halloween item and feel like they at least didn’t get cheated.
For dragons(especially the shatterer) just equip a gun and go afk auto attacking.
AC offers Power/toughness/vitality gear.
Sorry quoting is broken. Disregard i read CoF not CoE ….reading fail. yea CoE P1 in 20 minutes would be something quite epic…lol.
“rickets.1386:
Sojou.2067:
People sitting for 20 minutes in CoE path 1 waiting for all the trash to despawn.
Do/did people really do this?! Seriously P1 takes like 15 to 20 minutes tops for my group to finish and we kill everything.
I’d REALLY like to see this. 3 minutes on each alpha fight, perfect laser run, all 5 security locks at the same time, and Bjarl the Rampager never having Scales of Jormag, ever.
No really…I want a video…I’ll wait."
People sitting for 20 minutes in CoE path 1 waiting for all the trash to despawn.
Do/did people really do this?! Seriously P1 takes like 15 to 20 minutes tops for my group to finish and we kill everything.
You would not be able to do P1 or P3 with 4 people since you need 5 people for the gate event in P1 and 5 people for the torch event in P3. P2 is easily doable with 4 though, depending on skill.
I recommend just pugging a 5th of any class, we run into your same problem a lot too. Even if they aren’t that good its still another body for the mobs to get distracted by.
in Soviet Russia classes with range in their name do the least ranged damage!
Warrior rifle hits for ~20K with 2 abilities(combined)….nerf ranger shortbows…gg.
Any comp as long as the people I’m playing with are my friends/guildies. Seriously coordination is so important.
That being said, we run Guardian(not heal/tank), dps war, con necro, mesmer, ranger. Works great, sometimes the mesmer or warrior is a thief. We actually notice the warrior missing the most, their dps is just crazy.
GOOD NEWS!
I played an ele in beta and at release to 80 got full exotics, realized the nerf in Beta 3 was staying so i rolled ranger and found them to be more fun, got him to 80 with full exotics and they got nerfed, which made them less fun with the way i like to play them.
So whats the good news you say? I’m rerolling a warrior so in about 2 weeks when hes full exotics they will get nerfed too….good times, I’ll start a thief after that so they get brought in line as well…you’re WELCOME!
I think the issues sort of boil down to:
1> If you nerf, just co-ordinate the communication better with the teams so in the patch notes the nerf comes out as a nerf.
2> Rangers really need work done on the other weapons. This would be less of an issue if every ranger wasn’t using the kitten short bow.
Agreed.
@ Jon Peters.
Thanks for the reply, even though it was not what the ranger community(myself included) wanted to hear, its always better to hear something rather then nothing. I look forward to more tweaks regarding class balance in the future.
I know how you feel. Just got my warrior to 23ish last night. Seriously, if you are enjoying your ranger do not play a warrior with a rifle it will make you sad.
Killshot(F1 ability) on the warrior rifle is criting for 400+ at level 20….. it also has rapid fire and vulnerability like the LB and a cripple like the SB and a melee range knockback. You’re probably thinking yea but it doesn’t do as much damage with auto attacks and probably doesn’t have the 1200 range….wrong on both accounts and it bleeds on auto attack like the SB. How the warrior ended up with these ranged abilities and the engi and ranger didn’t i’ll never know. I won’t even compare the greatswords…
I can not tell you how much money people in my WoW guild spent on this feature. It’s definitely something Anet should reconsider.
I would wait. I can’t imaging Anet would skip the opportunity to make money off of a race change token in the item shop.
PvE:
Ever kill a pack of mobs with some other folks and some NPC’s and then run around spamming your loot/interact button and just end up talking to NPC’s and picking up banners and rezing people? Annoying right.
There are 2 fixes for this, implementing both would obviously be ideal.
1. Add an option to have a separate button for interacting and looting.
2. Add area loot. Area loot is one thing that SWTOR got right. You kill 10 mobs in a 5 meter area, loot one and they all get looted, no need to run around spamming “F” on dead bodies.
WvW:
Ever been running around with a group of people and start rolling through an enemy group. You are moving constantly and chasing people down to get kills. Well loot bags spawn where you are when you kill an enemy, which is great for keep defense because you don’t have to jump off the wall to loot a dead body, but for open field fighting its annoying to have to run back and collect loot bags.
So, how to fix it?
1. Add an option to just have the loot put into your bags when you kill someone.
2. Again, area loot, except with a wider range then in my PvE suggestion. Loot one bag and it will loot them all in a 20 meter area.
Also a side note about loot bags in WvW. When you kill a foe and you are on a small platform, say a wall or jumping puzzle rock, the bag spawns right on you and moves you to the side. I have come very close to falling because i killed someone in the borderlands jumping puzzle while on a small rock and the bag almost kicked me right off it.
So, those are my ideas, thoughts?
(edited by rickets.1386)
Looks at video….
Looks at level 17 warrior in character select….
……ponders leveling a 3rd 80 even though i have 2 fully exotic 80’s…
…..sighs and hangs head
funny thing is i rerolled from my full exotic ele for a ranger….boy can i pick em!
While i agree with what you say, calling out Anet in your title will get this thread closed…sorry.
You are able to kill almost all the mobs, there are many threads on this already some with videos posted. We usually kill all but the last 2 packs, sometimes we do better sometimes worse. You are right however, it does depend a lot on comp. Our Guardian/necro/war/ranger/mesmer group works pretty good but honestly the more warriors you have the easier this encounter is.
when this was happening before the people doing it got 3 day bans. Simply report the players and hope Anet keeps giving out bans and in the long term hope they fix the system.
Thanks for the replies, ill just tell my guardian guy to stand still and take hits like a man.
I will try post a video in the near future.
First, i will start with a question: Do other(friendly) players cause obstruction?
Basically approx. every 3rd shot from my bow’s get obstructed for no reason at all. This happens in dungeons and while karma farming the most. The Mob is clearly visible and i get the obstructed text at least every 3rd shot, it is far worse when under the effects of quickness, sometimes every shot of rapid fire from my long bow gets obstructed. I have tried a few things to counteract the problem, moving back and forth rapidly and strafing in circles around the mob to name two. The only thing i can think of is that friendly players are LoS’ing me…but that would be silly.
Anyone else experiencing this?
What should of happened: “Fixed an animation error with the short bow which made us lower the attack speed by .04 seconds, increased damage to compensate for lower attack speed AND less bleed stacks.”
What did happen: “Fixed an animation error and broke QZ at the same time effectively nerfing the short bow to uselessness to fix an animation error that no one knew about.”
If Warrior rifles are better then our short bow and they get insane melee abilities, what’s the point of rangers…oh yea, pets that die in 3 hits.
Ok seriously though, i look forward to a fix i’m sure Anet is on it.
Definitely try kill the packs for as long as possible, if things start to go south then start kiting. Granted i do this with a guild group but we have 1 pug on occasion and we always killed everything except maybe the last pack or two and maybe 1 or 2 people die once if at all.
Actually did this with a warrior pug yesterday(making 2 warriors in the group) and we killed every mob, the warrior pug commented that it was his first time doing that event the legit way and it was far more enjoyable. However your mileage may vary.
