I totally agree with guild invites being per char and let me have 4 guilds per char. One of my 4 guild slots is taken by a guild that is for nobles only (and they want two, greedy!) and I only have 1 char that is noble.

You can have multiple tabs (and generally the active one lights up), and if you want to clear the gchat window, all you have to do is switch guilds or get kicked to the launcher. :p

I agree with most things, but I completely disagree with your view on multiple guilds. I belong to multiple guilds for a reason and if I could talk to all 4 simultaneously, I would be a much better member for all of them, instead of a guild hopping kitten.

They may be able to get close to the enemy, but it’s not like they are beefy in any way.
Thieves are not supposed to be beefy:
Generally thief/assassin is a thinking persons char. If you want to stand toe-to-toe with the enemy, roll a fighter. Otherwise, you employ an attack,dodge, kite/recover pattern.

Blizzard has a physical device you can use and a mobile authenticator. For Aion, there is a password to log in to the game and a PIN you have to enter to load a char. The PIN is entered via an on-screen keypad and the arrangement of the keypad changes every time.

This sounds like a good idea. I would enhance it further: have a leader who has absolute control and 2 second-in-command who can overrule him if they both agree.
I should add that my current main guild who has an absentee Leader. She has iRL problems and everyone is supportive of that, of course, but the guild is missing leadership in the areas that only the Leader can address.

From my experience, the audio quality of the in-game VC is considerably less than the 3rd party options and it is very basic; it does not support any of the standard features such as voice normalization.
There are, no doubt, many other differences, but I am not qualified to talk about that.

DDO has an in-game voice chat system, but all hardcore users still use Ventro or Mumble. I don’t feel that AN should waste dev resources re-inventing the wheel.

Personally, I think Thieves should be a stealth class only. No pistols or other weapons that make noise. Ranged weapons, such as daggers or shuriken, with an effective radius of 15’.

I am sure that walking hand in hand could pose problems if there were latency issues, but I don’t believe that that the concept is insurmountable; if latency was too high (an easy thing to check), they could simply disengage the emote.
