I love this game! I do! I play it every day! I don’t even launch Steam or look at any other games or listen when people talk about other games. I don’t think it should have any effect on combat, but it should affect how every NPC responds to you and what dialog choices you get. Otherwise, what is the point of even having it?

I want more animations, all kinds and there have been countless posts about this.
Also, please fix the crying animation! I like it, it is heart-wrenching, but really, no one can cry forever! It should end after 60-90 seconds. I RP and I would use it, but it feels too phony for me to have to move to break it and suddenly I am not crying.

I read somewhere that there are 400 different shades. I understand that they want to make money and I am willing to spend money on the store, but I won’t waste real money to buy a dye in the store without knowing what it is. Fix that and also let me find more dye in the game!

I agree with the OP to a certain extent. I only RP, for the most part. I leveled my main char, who ICly carries no weapons to level 40, so I can travel where I want to and run if I am attacked with a good chance of escaping. I like to explore, sniff the flowers, have a picnic lunch with my friends or do other silly RP things. Please don’t make me have to run away all of the time, every where. How about an additional state – RP Only. In that state, monsters would not attack me, I could not attack monsters and the only XP I could possibly gain would be from discovering POIs. I am sure this idea has some flaws, but it is a place to start.
And somebody revive the poor little critter above me!

The customization options in this game are surprisingly limited, even for humans. More hair styles, more face options. Scars, piercings, tattoos! DDO has you beat hands down in this area! Try to do better!
Here is something I would also like to see – the ability to change your appearance during the game. If I get a scar or lose an eye during RP, let me change my char’s appearance to reflect that!

I don’t want to just see guild mates. I want to be able to see everyone in my immediate area (up to a reasonable performance threshold, which should be an option) on the map. This would help with DEs that you think might be empty.

I so agree with this. I have trouble with immersion in this game the way it is, for example during the personal story. What is this checkpoint kitten!?! If I die during my personal story, that is the end of the story. End of story.

It would be nice, but probably difficult to implement. A Norn should not be able to crawl into a place only an Asura would fit into. One char should not be able to crawl through another char.

I agree with this. I have a separate tab for each channel and if I want to send text to a different tab, I use the appropriate slash command and then have to change it back. It should be a one shot deal.

I really like the way Aion handled this. No authenticator is needed. You have 1 password to log in and a separate PIN for each char. The PIN is entered via an on-screen keypad which is arranged differently every time it appears. You can’t use the keyboard, so it can’t be captured via a keylogger.

Read a book (Commander Keen could do this long ago)
Doodle on some paper or sketch
Hum and tap my fingers or feet
Drink something and perhaps eventually pass out
Pace back and forth restlessly and then tap on the monitor (Commander Keen again or was that Gex?)
Play jacks or some other sort of portable game a bored person might play
Take a nap and occasionally wake myself up with snoring.

I would also like the following for the Friend’s List – a page for each entry where I can make notes. The nickname field is woefully inadequate since I can’t use any kind of punctuation and the field is not long enough for me to make notes for each char an account might have.
Given that the gamimg community is getting older (there are polls proving that GW2 has a large number of older users) AN had to be aware of this issue from the get go. And given how important the UI is to interacting with the game, I don’t possibly see how a static UI could be an oversight.
And for the record, I used to be a game tester and I am currently a Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer, so I have a bit of knowledge in this area.
