There should be an on-swap version of purity and water (inb4 eles).
Far as Im concerned Water is a group oriented sigil even if its not that great, and putting that as a proc, on a crit makes it doubly unreliable and something you don’t really work around even if it was stronger. If Im trying to heal all my allies, having it on swap would be consistent enough that I could drop a quick 1000 or whatever it comes out to reliably.

Interesting, that would be cool, though I’m not sure if they are currently wanting to add new ones.


Wanted to add another.

[Stats] Change stat weight with amulets and jewels.

Suggestion: I’d like to see the stat weights shifted a bit to something closer to say 70/30% or 65/35.

Reason: Right now, I feel like jewels don’t do enough to change stats when wanting to mix and match for better stat combinations. This would allow better build and stat diversity since changing the jewel would make more of a difference.

Hello everyone, Grouch needs some feedback for information given on the twitch READY UP, held a few days ago. I know there are some random threads touching on specifics but for the sake of the devs I wanted to get an organized wish-list going for them to read and follow. The notes at hand are:

- New PvP Stat Combos (simple enough)
– Sigil Changes
– Like TYPE sigils will work together
– Double-use of a single type will not work together.
– 2 Handed weapons now have 2 sigil slots.
– Some on-crit sigils will become on hit sigils.

- Rune Changes
– Not many specifics, but it seems proc rates will increase as well as 4 and 6 piece bonuses to make them more appealing over using 2/2/2 set ups.

The devs questions:

- What stat combinations would you like to see?
– What sigils would you like to see become on hit versus on crit.
– What runes would you specifically like to see touched up on (without getting too crazy, changing functionalities entirely).

And most importantly, add reasons WHY you would like to see your personal wishes added to the game. This helps the developers with implications and see how they will affect the meta, and builds in sPvP as a whole.

Examples (my own):

[Sigil] Sigil of Blood.

Suggestion: Make Sigil of blood an on-hit sigil, rather than on crit.

Reasoning: It is already balanced with Sigil of Leeching. However, some weapon types are used less frequently, so it’d be nice to have the alternative of using this when you plan on using one set more than another (such as staves on a Necromancer, where most skills have long cooldowns).

[Sigils] All sigils

Suggestion: Make all on-crit 100% chance, and all on-hit 50% chance.

Reasoning: I want this mostly because of RNG. RNG isn’t a very fun factor as it is, so this would eliminate this. Additionally, this is why we have cooldowns on the sigils already.

[Sigils] On Hit/Crit Sigils

Suggestion: Show a buff on the bar when a person has a “ready” sigil (not on cooldown).

Reason: This allows the enemy to know when and what sigils the enemy has, as well as allows the player to judge whether or not to stall for a moment or go for a burst (in cases of crit sigils, and longer cooldown sigils such as Sigil of Rage).

I play a condi warrior and I agree with this. If anything I might not accidentally haveit miss fire so much by barely being out of angle. I’ll have more time to align, but still press my shot when kiting. :P

Well I agree, in a perfect world. But at this point i’m to compromise. Its odd that they say its a transformation but that causes them to die but it doesn’t do it to other pet users… How does that work?

Does it destroy ranger spirits too? (genuinely a question)
I know it destroys guardian spirits (not that they exist in pvp anymore)

Ranger’s pet doesn’t get destroyed because it isn’t summoned with a skill. Same goes for creatures spawning with runes because those aren’t skills.

I HEARD from spirit rangers themselves no, but maybe. I’ll check in a bit. Doesn’t ch she the fact that it is considered a bug having to do with transformations hiding bars.

Hmmm I think it’s fair in the case of glass Mesmer. Necro condis even as MM will shut a glass Mesmer down. Moa gives good counter play against the necros significant advantage… Making the plays about trying to get off a skill to shut the other down.

Also necro on any build including MM if you know how to out play a Mesmer even after being Moa’ed you can still turn the fight around and win. I’ve done it to r45+ with ease so it’s not like it’s impossible to learn to play around.

If conditions got nerfed or the survivabry built in took a hit I’d agree but I think as it is fights are more fun and intense.

The best mm builds are power. And also, the way to survive is run until you get a bunch of the cooldowns back. Talk about boring as hell. Most mesmers will save Moa for MMs if they know a team has one because they can literally laugh at them (I’ve been told this by several mesmers). Its a joke.

if i know any necro on opposite team that play mm I immediately switch to mesmer just for moa.

Being one of the few (if not only) top 10 tpvp MMs, you have no idea. MM is hard as kitten to survive with in high end pvp with AOEs, burst and high coordination teams. So keep your baddie comments to yourself.

Also to the Guardian weapons, it shouldn’t do it to them neither. It’s probably just less known because no one runs the poor things. :/

I usally feel bad when using Moa.
I generelly try to fight without me elites, at least in 1 vs 1 situation, as I find it somehow cheap to use those hyper-cd-skills (as long as u rnt playing thief ) in a simple 1 vs. 1.

However, when facing necros, especially MMs whos elite is active almost the whole time, I dont feel that bad when I moa them.

Btw, as long as an AI build like MM is in such a good place, I also dont feel bad, when there is at least one big counter to them.

No class has a button that destroys a whole build with 1 button usable in stealth. What if a necro had a single button, when pressed it made it so you couldn’t make clones/phantasms for 30 seconds. You’d be livid…

All that needs to happen is EITHER pets disappear but return after (like ranger pets) or just kill the lets but not trigger a cool down so they can be resummoned right away which is STILL crippling because it takes 7.5 seconds to summon a full bar of pets. That also has to be factored into how now works right now. Currently its 10 seconds of taking all damage to the face, 16-60 second for pets to come back and a total of 7.5 seconds resummoning them all and having no pet leeching that whole time which is ALL of a minion master’s survivability. We have no protection, block, vigor, evades, mobility, etc… And no stu breaks if shadow fiend is used over Wurm and Wurm is a pre-casted stunbreak. So guess what. Stealth moa even kills our one and only possible stunbreak. X.x

No, all they need to do is have Moa not despawn pets. Ranger pets don’t despawn when Moa’d. Necro pets should not either.

It lasts 10 sec but puts ALL of a minion masters minions on full cooldown… (Each ranging from 16 to 60 seconds)… Also 240 second cool down isn’t long when it is literally an “I win button” against 1 spec. And if this was changed it wouldn’t break it against everyone else, so why are you defending it from being fixed? If it never gets used then it doesn’t affect you, so go away…?

Considering its a bug and it doesn’t affect all pet classes the same, yes it needs to change. Not to mention Moa screws EVERY Necromancer elite. Would be nice if one wasn’t affected… Moa kills Lich form, plague and kills ALL minions…

On a class that has clones / distractions and MOST importantly the ability to stealth cast it? Are you really that dense? Someone can stealth cast basically doom an entire build. It IS A bug (said so by devs) and with MM getting nerfed because of crying baddies, its high time they fix this.

Again, not being serious != not taking things seriously.

They weren’t being THAT bad as it were. Maybe drawing out a little much, but oh well. It’s easier than you think to lose track of time when you’re trying to balance time between talking and goofing with other real people around you, and spending enough “serious time” talking into a camera. Its a difficult concept to visualize, but it makes sense. Also, I’m glad the devs aren’t hard-kitten. Its easier to work with.

I don’t always agree with their decisions, but that has nothing to do with how they present the information. Secondly, they don’t always have enough info to give out. All the “too much time wasted, not enough info”. Don’t watch it and wait for a written preview by someone who did, which is inevitable. A lot of things they can’t say, they even said directly “we can’t talk about this yet”, that generally means they have no idea if its even going to happen, or it’s in development and talking about it too soon could either get hopes up or give a bad impression of whatever it is. So they fill the time with some being silly and having fun at work. I praise that. >_>:

I can assure you, however that the write-up someone does for it will be nice, neat, professional and entirely not funny for those of you who need it fed to you that way.

Well, because I don’t enjoy fighting in circles my whole life, I pretty much only play in 1v1/2v2 rooms. Thus, most of my builds are hybrids built to take a lot of damage and dish as much as possible without losing too much survivability (aka 1v1 builds). And when I DO tpvp, I tend to just home-bunk or side pressure if I’m MM.

Condi Banner war may be considered cheesy, too, but unfortunately its not entirely viable. Too much condi removal for 1-2 condi using builds. Not enough cover up! Still very fun build though.

The problem is… Nerfing Minions’ HP and giving nothing back for balance?
Yet we have no backfire for losing minions and they go down pretty easily on Aoes..
Now people gonna take them down more easily.
Just reduce their cooldowns, for christ sake.

They’re not nerfing their HP. the OP was incorrect. They’re nerfing damage. Training of the Master 30% → 25%.

Warriors went from worst class → best.
Ele went from best class → worst.
Old builds that barely changed like MM and Spirit rangers became overpowered apparently just because more people actually play them now.
People have gotten whinier.
People forgot this is an mmo not street fighter.
Conditions are still too powerful based on 1 stat versus several. (Mechanically speaking)
Everyone has more condi removal now instead of changing condition modifiers or making them crit.
PU mesmers are still cheesy, but luckily not viable.
And… We’re still fighting on circles!

Black and white are shades. Humans are brown and peach, and depending on RNG you have an equal chance at being either. People just need to get over their over sensitive bologna, making everything racial. True point: Making everything about races keeps racism alive. I say make teams black and white to support anti-racism!

Don’t get your hopes up too high. While we might get some ideas to speculate, Ready up so far has always been.. Pretty vague. So it leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

That’s a matter of perspective. I think that sky ham should be in solo queue. IMO, you have to pay more attention to what your enemy is doing or you will instantly lose. Which is how this game should be anyway. You make a mistake, there should be no chance to recover at all. You should just lose. Unless of course, the enemy screws up even harder.

Imo they should make a map where you end up shooting purple hippos out of your behind. Something as powerful as that will 100% shot anyone in LoS (ofcourse).

This whont be ridiculous at all and it will almost certainly gain interest from pvp players that dont play GW2 yet. With proper positioning and by reading the castanimation (bending over) you will be able to counter this.

As you can see this nicely fits your description aswell.

Easiest class in pvp is by far Elementalist… They only have 4 buttons, one of which makes you freaking immune to damage AND faster than normal running speed for like 4 seconds on just a 20 second cool down…. Nerf please?

No one likes the blue and red colors they used anyways. Make teams how all things in life should be! Black and white!

I was just being sarcastic just to kitten off the many Mm criers out there right now. I wish I could play power, but these are the issues:
-Power damage seems to be balanced with either wells or minions in mind so unless you run those (I am a power mm) your damage seems to lag behind other glass.
-Power necros don’t have the mobility/defense mechanics other glasses have to protect that kind of low armor.
-Life force comes too slowly in an active environment as key LF abilities get evaded often like focus 4 and without life force you lose either good burst and/or any sense of survivability you had.
-Life blast cast time is too kitten long. Its easy to dance around life blasts with times evades for many classes.
-axe blows and dagger is too risky for glass.
- Power can’t do the damage other classes can using soldiers and doesn’t gain enough survivability to be worth it, generally speaking.

It essentially comes down to why play power and not just Soldier power mm, and do just about everything better and not die as easily. It lacks some Aoe potential but it makes an amazing home bunk and not many people are dumb enough to stand in wells in the first place. About the only thing power has going for them is 30 seconds of lolLichForm pew pew. Which… Is a terrible niche.
