The Maguuma Jungle has changed over the years to how it looks on the GW1 map. I mean the northern part, it’s not a jungle anymore, it’s dried out wastes since the dragons arose. Apparently, the only part left as jungle is Magus Falls and the Tarnished Coasts.

So I’m guessing we will only get desert, waste like maps, with spots slightly less affected by the elder dragons. The GW2 map seems to show a few lakes and spots of green land so.

Considering it’s going to be permanent, I’d think it will count towards map competition for characters who don’t have it, but will not count for those who have already achieved it.

If you think about it from the angle of a player just starting the game when this map is available, they’d assume they need to complete it so.

However we don’t know if this new map is going to immediately be like other maps. I mean, is there going to be WPs? The asurans haven’t had access to it to build WPs. Will it have heart quests? Hmm maybe. POIs, vistas and skill points are likely to be there for definite.

Empower is 10s, Blast is 20s

Empower’s reuse is 20s base, Blast is a combinations of blast finisher and fire fields reuses.

Empower locks the guardian into using staff which means he’s not taking better weapons like GS/S+F/Hammer(hammer does light fields which makes it hard to mid fight might stack) On top Empower has 3s cast time so really just hurts the guardian big time to use in combat.

Always default to fire fields if it’s an option, which it should be.

I was in a dungeon earlier, to which I asked a thief did he know how to stack might (we were lacking an ele, I was guard).

He said he wouldn’t because I could “Just use empower” and “Empower is better than blast finisher might”.

I don’t know the technical details of this. To my knowledge I’ve been told in the past NOT to use empower as it’s might duration is shorter than the might given by the warriors/thieves in an ele’s fire field. I also know that empower might is only 12 stacks, whereas you can get 25 stacks with blast finisher easy.

As I said, I don’t know the numbers. I was wondering if someone who does know the numbers could clear this up?

I’m mainly a PvE player and rarely go near WvW, but I recently saw the Misforged weapons and thought wow I like those.

But to my knowledge, you use WvW Tournament Claim Tickets to get them, and those were acquired for doing achievements for WvW Spring Tourny. Does this mean there’s no way of me getting a Misforged skin now?

That build is more tanky than my frontline WvW guardian build. I don’t consider that a good starting build at all. I used it for a while during the first year of the game (strife’s Anchor build)

I was sent to Strife’s guard build by my guildie when I first rolled guard, that’s all. My guild was mainly dungeon running.

I recently put the build I use on Build Editor. I didn’t create it (I won’t take credit for a widely used build) but it’s basically the standard Knight/Zerk set. It’s a good build to use to start as you have much more survivability than full zerk.

idk if this is the right place to post this but i always liked the ascended armor skin(minus helm and shoulder piece) in white black or black white but i never had a chance to build my own armor (to expensive wil go for it evetuly if its realy worth it)

That didn’t work the first time but after I closed the client it seemed to work.

Back in the early days of GW2, whether you had your headgear visible or not, it would always show on the menu.

They then fixed this so if you had it disabled, you would not see it on the menu screen. Since the update, it’s gone back to the way it used to be.

If this was intentional, I’m kinda bummed. If not, just posting here as reminder.

I got an immediate response from support (within 15 minutes) so not sure why it took so long.

The same has happened to me, also in the past week (could have been any time as it’s been a good week or so since I played). I’ve contacted support, they’ve allowed me to change my password without my serial code, and I’m now being put through to a different section of support to have my account restored to the closest date before compromise. So just contact support, they will help.

I’ve fixed it. Updated my Nvida drivers through the actual Nvida GeForce software and it now works, along with my Steam games.

My laptop came with windows 8. It worked completely fine before, this is the first time I’ve tried to run it since 8.1.

When I try and run the game, it opens the loading screen, stays on 0% for a few seconds, then instantly stops responding and gives me an error report.
I thought maybe to try uninstalling and reinstalling but trying to uninstall the game opens the client, which then of course just crashes.

I’ve had no previous issues with GW2 on this laptop. However I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and GW2 hasn’t worked since I did that.

Probably and unrelated issue, but none of my Steam games seem to want to run either.

I feel no need to get ascended weapons in a rush. I don’t see why people feel forced to get them. I see it as a bonus I might acquire for a few of my characters eventually at least. I care more about skins if I’m honest.

Pretty much all of GW2 combat is based around exotics, that hasn’t changed.

One of the most significant memories I have about pre-release hype is the key point they made about dragons attacking villages, and if not stopped, would make the village inaccessible and would then continue to take more land if not stopped. Okay so what did they really implement? Contested WPs when an area is threatened by an event.

No, as I have a feeling that everything we’re getting on the 17th was not created by the SAB Living Story team, but instead by the respective teams the content relates to.

Therefore I don’t consider these updates to be Living Story. I like it that way, SAB is time consuming enough to last a whole month.

Because although concept art can never truly be represented in game, Anet seem to like making it entirely different than in game models. E.g. Scarlet, did you SEE how unlike her concept art she looked? Bah.

Although I wish your theory were true, I’d lower your expectations if I were you.

I very much doubt there will be any story or lore involved, just a revamped more dynamic boss fight that is on an endless repeating timer.

I doubt the Living Story team designed this. I think SAB is this months living story (as it’s quite a hefty lump of content imo), and these updates on the 17th were created by the other teams in Anet.

To sum up, I don’t think Tequatl is part of the Living Story, as the mechanics of world bosses contradicts the Living World.

I was completing the Black Citadel when I looked at the sun. What is the black blob? Is that the sun? Or is the yellow around it the sun? Or is it the moon? Is it to do with having my graphic settings fairly low?

But I’ve started to get emails from ‘noreply@guildwars2.com’ saying I’m trying to sell accounts. These emails have been coming to my main inbox, not my junk.

You know why this won’t happen for at least a long time? Because they shot themselves in the foot when they created the world the way they did.

They always had every intention of the ‘Living Story’, yet they created a static personal story that no matter how much the world is growing, that story is never affected.

In a truly Living World, Zhaitan’s risen population would have decreased by now if not almost non-existent. But that won’t happen until they change the personal story to progress with the Living World.

I hope they take this direction, it would make the game feel a lot more ‘living’.

Well, although I feel people should know the schedule by now (we get a new Living Story every month, some content in the first 2 weeks, some more in the second 2), it wouldn’t hurt to have a timer.

I just wish they had a set time on release day.

Well, you paid good time and money for that Legendary, so they should implement a way in which you get a boost to your weapon summons.
But the point I was making was that you shouldn’t get that boost if you don’t have an Ascended level item equipped, because that’s unfair to other classes.

Um, going back to the hub just gives you one life, not 5. Unless that’s unique to being in a party. I don’t think it gives you extra lives otherwise, and it only gives you an extra life if you don’t have any extras to begin with.

I think that cloud was added in the last patch, and it was bugged for me too. You can still go up the ramp on the left though, just have to go past the polar bear that way.

Yeah I can progress though the zone, but activating them is needed for the infantile achievement, right?

Although I too wish they explained things more, I disagree with the other point you’re making.

Why should Eles and Engies get ascended level damage for free, when all other classes have to get an ascended weapon to do that damage? I thought people wanted Anet to make Engie’s weapons more desirable so they weren’t forced to use packs. Your idea would increase the imbalance.

I don’t see anything wrong with server transfer fees. I like the way they’ve been implemented (cost less to go to a lower population) and I think the prices are fair.

We were given weeks at the start of the game to transfer for free to find ‘our server’. It would be VERY bad for WvW if people were allowed to transfer for free or very little.

And one more thing, as mentioned above gems can be acquired through gold.
