Don’t really get who would prefer to ‘complete’ over farm once you have ‘Kill Scarlet’ achievement. You get more out of the invasion by farming champs, because you’re getting achievements + end reward + lots of champ loot. Why not get the most out of it?

Living Story is PvE content. What point are you trying to make?

I’m 99% sure you don’t need to win for those achievements. And dailies are ‘Kill such a many pirates/Molten…’ so don’t really get your point there.

All these ‘useless’ items (by that I mean no function other than cosmetic) should have a slot in a new collectibles tab. Kryta torch, kites, Marjory’s journal, Zephyr model etc. It’s inevitable over time, because of the living story, that our banks will be filled with crap.

Although maybe a little generous on the gold rewards. Afterall, Anet like to take all our gold making strategies away.

My question is did Anet always intend on having a ‘living world’? If so, why didn’t they design it that way from the start?

I see? I’m pretty confident I’m able to have all the other settings as high as possible. Perhaps not though. I’ve never noticed that option you pointed out was grey’d out! That’s kinda sucky, means I’m stuck with most people around me wearing butt-ugly armour?

It’s related to the culling update, the lower your culling settings, the smaller the radius of people wearing their own armour around you. It sucks. I have to have them low to keep my game playable, so I’m stuck with everyone looking butt-ugly.

Is this intentional? If so, this thread can be locked, but I’ve asked others and they’ve told me their’s go to highest. Unless they mistook me thinking I meant the ‘Character Model Limit’.

Seems strange to me however that the ‘Model Limit’ goes to highest, but the ‘Model Quality’ stops at medium.

The new champ mace, Shiverstone, is really cool.

I can’t seem to set Model Quality to high? It goes Lowest – Low – Medium.
Model Limit goes to highest.

if it has a solid state disk and not a hard disk i am sure you will be fine to play the game smooth , just it needs more than 4 ram ( at least 6 gb to play games ) if you install win 7 64bit.

How do I know if a laptop has solid state and not hard disk? As in, what is it abbreviated to/related to?

Yes – Zephrytes/Cutthroat was one team. Dragonbash/Aetherblades was another. Etc I think that means the people who gave us Southsun did the Queen content?

I’m disappointed in Scarlet because of a the speculation and hype. Some of the fan ideas were better than Anets and thus I feel like I got my hopes up to bd let down.

While it may have been my laptop being slow, the lines at the bottom of the screen seemed to be out of sync with the voices, the voices would come first and the text a second or two after. Seeing the watchknights get turned into monsters was neat though.

The Faren cut-scene was nicely done. His emotions seemed okay, while Jennah’s looked kinda fake (since that one was a fake). I’m a little down at seeing him (maybe?) die. And it’s sadder since the Jennah he reached for was illusionary, so…does this mean she’s gotten 3 people killed now? Hmm… >_>

And whoever said Sylvari can’t be beautiful clearly hasn’t seen too many. Scarlet’s not ugly, just not pretty either. Sadly she also seems to be another “hey, let’s kill everyone” kind of villain. At least she actually did something this time besides just teleporting in and being annoyi—-wait, no. That was all she did. The minions were doing the rest.

Meh. Still, the cut-scenes were rather well done. Good job. Wish the Personal Story had more of these.

No it’s not just you, I had that too. Also their mouths were out of sync for me, or not even moving.
I also loved Faren’s part, very well done and beautiful.
My problem with Scarlet is she’s too cheeky-chappy looking. From her name, and her ways, I expected a seductive, you can’t catch me because I’m too good kind of look.

If you try to zerg it, you will fail the event. It doesn’t work.

Are you in an alternate universe? It’s a zerg event. I’ve just done 2 zones, both completely zerged. Yes the mobs can still down you because they hit hard, but it’s pro-zerg blobbing.

The one they did of Marjory was about as long as the cutscene we just had, they managed that. I believe they have the time to do cutscenes in that time, but I’d like to hear back from them on that.

Meh. New mobs are cool, LOVE their design, and the noises they make.

Scarlet. Well. Disappointed. Her design is… not so great. Her voice however, cool. I was just so hyped for her background, her reasoning, her design… and this is what we got. She seems one-dimentional like all the bad guys we’ve had.

Cutscene was terrible, apart from the arty part at the end.

Mindless zerging around maps, okay the first time. But I don’t know if you’re aware that you have to do it 13 times (13 different maps). These events on each map seem to take around 20 minutes, and that’s only because of how many people are doing it right now. That’s a lot of time.

My first impressions are average, sadly.

I wish we lived in that alternate reality…

I always like it when a sylvari’s armour matches their skin tone. I’d dye the armour as close to your skin as possible, with hints of red in it. Or, you could dye the armour a lighter pink than your skin, or a darker red than your skin, with hints of red/light pink respectively.

I use Kormir on my thief in situations where I have to have a personal condition remover (mainly guild bounty bosses who give out lots of conditions). But that’s about it really.

I agree in that I too wish transformation had been a bigger part of playing a Norn considering how important it is in Norn lore.

But giving that to Norns would mean you’d have to give all the other races something similar or it wouldn’t be ‘fair’.

I adore the female Norn voice. It’s my favourite voice of all the races!

My first character was a human for RP reasons, to be a descendant of my GW1 character. But since then, I now have a character of every race except Asura (but I will when I get another slot).

For me, the appearances of my characters are everything (probably a girl thing – like they’re my Barbie dolls x_x). So it’s hard to have a Charr when even though she has a beautiful design finding suitable light armour for her is hard and off-putting. My two humans are very easy to work with. But I adore all my characters because I’ve managed to make them all look amazing (to me anyway).

I personally feel like I see more charr than humans these days. Everyone seems to play a male charr warrior…

But let’s face it, most people are always going to play human the most because we are humans. Not everyone are into ‘different’ races. I personally love Norn and their personality and lore, same with Sylvari. Charr I’m into because of how their race has evolved. Asura I’ve never really been big on. A lot people just like sticking to the ‘normal’.

It’s been 1 year, they need to keep the new dragon content to ensure the longevity of the game. Plus, I want the next Dragon to be released as a huge patch or an expansion instead of a Living Story patch.

So, I’m aware that Scarlet is supposedly green, but I think she should’ve been red…
But this is just my interpretation of her, and I really hope she’s going to be as aweosme as I’m expecting her to be!

Blayd Snowfoot – Blayd looks cool written, but ‘Blade’ is kinda unoriginal to me. I like Snowfoot, but kinda sounds like it should be for an agile class like thief. But still, I quite like it, 7/10.

Scarlet, the evil Sylvari from Malyck’s version of the pale tree. THAT would be a great story! Magus Falls – new zone! THAT would excite me. She better have a tonne of depth, I’m excited to meet her. Please don’t let her be as dull as Canach!

Let’s just hope someone doesn’t die for no reason. If someone’s gonna die, make it interesting, and make sure we know and actually have feelings for the character you’re killing off…
