I read that at first like FA 97k and IOJ 97k and got all worried for a moment, especially since I saw FA up by 5k points a few hours ago.

if u guys get tired,believe me i feel u.For weeks we’ve been third now, but still holding quite well, but now we are outmanned very often sometimes our force of 20 has to fight a zerg of 40 on 1 side and a zerg of 15 on the other, but we don’t wanna give up and sometimes we manage to push back very hard. Don’t give up, but if u like wvw but the server becomes unbearable come join us in FA, we like people with skill and dedication. :-)

very high or not u guys have an active wvw community, we don’t today we wer outnumbered and even outmanned pretty much the whole day and kept being pushed over and over by a huge CD zerg and IOJ at the same time.It looked like IOJs whole server was in FA at some point and cd came up with ridiculous numbers. IoJ stayed there for hours while losing their bl. That’s why u guys didn’t catch up with u, but gotta say had some epic fights today and the 2 or 3 hour battle between garrison and bay was crazy.

Someone dropped a bunch of siege in front of FA’s EB spawn. Some called it a dirty tactic/spy from CD, but I think it was just a bored guy with a lot of money to waste. Seems rather funny to me as I built a golem from it, as opposed to others who found it irritating =P

Thank you we did really not wanna give up and the fight kept going and going…and i ran multible times into a new zerg after escaping the other one. i think we built around 19 trebs 4 golums 8 catas 15 arrowcarts and even after u destroyed all of them, we built a ne treb. phew….;-)

If they independently keep choosing CDBL (minus the automatic few in EB) next week the couple dozen commanders on CD might independently decide to deny FA points until you’re pushed out of the tier.

You’ve seen a couple of nights now what we can do when we feel motivated enough to make it happen. As I’ve said before this has been an escalating cycle of retaliation. FA’s big guilds and commanders need to look at this and ask themselves “is this the ceiling or can they do something even worse?”
From my perspective the smart move seems to be for red to always have or be pushing for at least one keep in IoJBL. Keep CD running mostly on pug power instead of concerted guild efforts with a specific FA priority.

Wow you really sound like TC right now, but tell you what. Even though u guys have a massive population atm with a high presence in wvw, you are nothing like TC and shouldn’t have a chip on your shoulder like that. Guilds from both IOJ and FA are still able to destroy your zergs with like half of the people your zerg has. If you feel sooo much above everyone that u wanna play “wvw tier 3 god”, go ahead, but don’t cry if IOJ and FA aren’t playing by your rules, because we wont.

There are two major issues with this match-up that I’ve noticed over the past month.

As Arena Net refuses to remove Fort Aspenwood from this bracket I think it has to be said that our server (since GODS basically fell apart) has zero ability to fight against the numbers of IoJ and CD. As much as I don’t doubt the FA guys try (and god knows, I do too), we almost categorically have the outmanned buff which does 3/5ths of nothing to help.

To those of you who say IoJ and CD don’t have some unwritten law – you’re wrong. I’ve witnessed it several times in the EB Jumping Puzzle where CD and IoJ pass each other by like they’re best of friends, whilst I’ll walk in by myself and get slaughtered.

This is not fun. The retort to this kind of statement will inevitably be “then don’t play”, but that’s not the point of a “game”, is it. World vs. World can be a lot of fun, but this type of match up for the past 3 weeks is getting stale. You’ve proven for three weeks running Fort Aspenwood is the bottom of the pile. Congrats. Can we go now?

Believe me, I’ve seeen IOJ hitting CD pretty hard and cd taking almost all fo IOJ s BL while they were attacking us. Actually, if IoJ was in first place, and CD was in second place, it makes perfect sense to go after CD for us. That way, you dont’ catch up. It’s not about spawn placements. It’s about going for the server that’s most likely to give you trouble. Especially when in first. Stop crying over being “double teamed”, because if you can’t hack it here in T3, you’ll be even more upset if you ever make it to T2.

Just because it didn’t happen last match, or the match before, or any match you’ve ever been in, doesn’t mean a thing. FA didn’t help CD try to take down IoJ the week we won? boo hoo, maybe they’re learning. Maybe they realize that by keeping the scores close, it’s their best chance of staying in T2. TYy and I agree with u. Seriously, there is no double teaming going on at all,believe me!Most of the time when we are busy in CD BL we get called back to FA BL because IOJ zerg is there. I can remember when FA was hit every morning by TC and YAks bend at the same time, and yes we felt double teamed and a lot of times we were close to being pushed out of T3..there was even a TC guild called FA(good luck in tier 4)…lol!

But i gotta say we are having a blast with this matchup and even though we are outmanned in EB like 90 percent of the time, we still hold up against superior numbers.

This week is the first week I’ve actively seen supply griefing to the point of 10 rams being built round a supply depot and upgrades being ordered during a siege. If you can’t buy siege equipment when a place is being attacked then why on earth should you still be allowed to buy upgrades that could decimate precious supply?

Only way to combat it, is always carry supply and keep those supply routes open and hope they don’t keep doing it.

The following didn’t took place during a siege:
I think I was present at that time and place, and as far as I remember people were just totally fooling around with siege, being morons for the lols of it, because a big golem army was supposed to be build and everyone was being totally silly. Fooling people into building rams and stuff and generally having fun
The problem is…. when I returned to said spot, pugs were building all the rams… probably just because of sillyness also, but when someone sees this place afterwards, it must have been like seeing a spy supply drain, which it wasn’t.

Devs should really implement a function to destroy unwanted siege to get supplies back, but on the other hand, spies would then abuse this mechanic.
I remember ANet saying that WvW would never be fair…. so there.

If we are able to destruct siege, spies will destroy your siege the moment their server approaches with a golem rush or so…

but to Anet having new maps would be amazing and i am sure u guys could do that. It would pull a lot of people back into wvw and would change the whole strategies we have. we all are already so used to those maps, that everyone knows the typical cata attacks and sneaky spots. we need new content.

I also would love to see new wvw badge rewards like armors and weapons…it would also be epic and attract more people if there was a way to obtain a legendary weapon with wvw.

As a player on CD, I have to admit that FA is by far very inconsistent.. A surge in power, then they drift off into a deep slumber.

IoJ on the other hand, is quite formidable. Don’t get me wrong, I think FA is strong too when they actually go for it. All in all, I like the level of competition :-) I remember the FIRST time I ever logged on to WvWvW it was CD vs Sanctum of Rall vs Sea of Sorrows.. Boy was it tough!

Quite sad to see someone from FA asking IoJ to gang up on CD earlier on in this thread :P

IOJ’s golem rush

So a bunch of players, with clearly no WvW experience, decided they were going to buy some golems, thinking that would give them god mode. The inevitable happened and they failed miserably.

And you take that as an opportunity to sling mud at IoJ’s dedicated WvW playerbase?

If you watch sports highlights and one team beats another, do we consider it disrespectful to the losing team to celebrate victory? I think not, your assumptions are as silly as asking for blind respect for foolish actions.

When sports teams are EVEN and it is a good match up, then celebration for a victory is fine. But if you were to have a professional team annihilating a bunch of 6 year olds in a game, and then running around celebrating and giving each other high fives for such “pwnage”, then it’s clear how unwarranted that kind of celebration is.

In other words, you guys are patting yourselves on the back and lol’ing about how dumb IoJ was because you made a bunch of WvW noobs look bad. You must be sooo proud of that kind of an accomplishment. ;P

IOJ was for hours trying to get stuff in our bl, the nearly ninja’d BAy, the build 4 trebs, 8 catas and had over 4 or 5 breakouts, believe me it was a hell of a fight and if you are calling your own guild UA (as a lot of them were from UA) a bunch of babies, i think you own them a apology, as they were ver presistent and hard fighters.

Why can’t u guys just take it as a fun video? It’s not to troll or say hey we are better..no it is for fun as we were laughing after fighting for hours. Cmon I mean first time we met a few of your guilds and got destroyed by mesmer attacks over and over , u guys posted a video, now have u seen anyone of us insulting or crying about it?NO, noone from PRO did and guess what we learned from it even though we still sometimes get into the mesmer trap.

Frankly, I don’t think the 500 badges are unreasonable at all. What about players who mainly like to WvW? If they want to get a legendary, they have to do ll sorts of PvE stuff to get it. Should the PvE requirements be removed for them?

ty why i all this whining about the badges?How shall I be able to get almost 1000g for my sunrise if I don’t PVE all the time to MAYBE have even a small chance of getting it? You can get badges easily if u follow a commander that knows what he is doing around. I get up to 60 if not more a day by fighting zergs and killing the lords at supply camps, keeps and towers and yes there is the jp too which is a little annyoing though if invaders are camping there. Plus pve player joining wvw could actually help us out a lot and is always welcome!

1.) Siegerazaer NPC should be disabled if your server is leading in points.

2.) If your server is leading in points, everyone in your server gets a server bonus of +33% MF, +33% Exp Gain, +33% Karma Gain, +33% Influence Gain, +33% Gold found on drops and +33% more tokens gained from dungeons.

3.) A new Outmanned Buff called “Desperation Buff” should be introduced for the 3rd place server. It activates when the the 3rd place server’s score is equal to or below 50% compared to the 1st place server’s score. “Desperation Buff” gives the losing team +150 attribute buff, + 25% HP/Attack/Armor Increase and a 100hp/sec regen while in WvW. (maybe this buffs are a little too much, but somewhere along these lines.)

This suggestions is focused on encouraging players to join the WvW effort.

outbreak shouldn’t be available for an entire zerg anyways. we kept fighting 20 invaders off and after the 3 breakout even started we decided t leave the commander alive so the event would’t start again. lol we managed to repair the wall on him and he got stuck there and we left him for like an hour XD

Oh, that doesn’t seem right to me, considering how rapidly those things can destroy a base’s defenses, they shouldn’t be so easy to set up, I think. Like you shouldn’t be able to pull materials from one map to get a head start on another. I guess that’s my major design issue with WvW in this game, it seems very difficult to hold anything for any length of time, most sites take a lot of time and effort to upgrade or put down roots, but only minutes to collapse complete from a concentrated effort.

I don’t think that zergs should be able to function like a Tsunami, just sweeping across a map in under an hour and laying waste, but rather it should be a deliberate process, in which it’s very difficult to take location C without first securing and entrenching locations A and then B. Often that seems to be the way it works, but there are apparently some mechanics that allow for all that to collapse in a heap.

erm u know IOJ attacked greenbriar with 6 golems…after 3 failed breakout events, 2 attempts building mutiple catas again and 2 tebs at the ruins attempt… They kept PRO quite busy…and then there was the golems marching up to gb gates…and FAILED… 6 golems and about 20 defenders got destroyed infront of the gate..gate health 100% :-)

Zergs can be stopped if handled right and PRO had less numbers than that zerg. One of our commanders was even able to hold back a TC zerg attack of 3 omega golems and 2 alphas +20 invaders with very limited numbers. u gotta know how and when to push and how to use siege.

The fastest way I know of to get them is the dungeons in WvWvW with enmeies at the main puzzle it will take months to make 500 of them off just players.

As an update they are now using arrow carts so as soon as yo are in you are hit.

didnt take months for me to get 500 badge it really depends which commander u follow! I make around 40 to 60 badges a day if not more just by running with our commander.

i am annoyed when my whole team gets killed by the same few thiefs abusing the kitten out of rendering issues and keep wiping us.
this D/P build is getting out of hand and you all know it.
90% invisible, over 15 stacks of bleeding, stealth finish, the list goes on and on.
and l2p wont work on me either, that just means you are out of usefull comments.
im at the point where i dont even care if they remove the ffing class entirely.
but then we will have sad panda’s who cant spam the same 3 attacks over and over again.

I feel your anger and had many moments like this.
We had a similar situation with one of those thieves. he was guaring the supply camp. WE were 6 players and the moment we came closer he attacked us 1 by 1 .my friend tried to knock him off me and couldnt, i used my aoe, which is kinda limited as a mesmer, i managed to deal some damage to him but not nearly enough to kill him as he would go right back into stealth. he ended up killing all 6 of us and dont get me wrong, we are good players. we neded 10 to overrrun him finally. how is that not OP? and its not just culling, if a thief is invisible due to culling my clones will react and i can kill those easily but the ones that backstab all the time…..

erm just saying….u think our dodging is off?!?!. believe me i am good at dodging, but a thiefthat is only 2 sec visible and 30 secs invisible and backstabs u and u MAYBE get away from that attack with 1.5 k health left…..there is no way to dodge when the thief goes right invisible after that only to attack u again with backstab.the only thieves im complaining about is the ones where the thief stays 90 percent of the fight invisible and kills a ton of enemies by only pushing 5 buttons over and over. that needs to change!
the thieves that use a different build are definitely killable and a fair 1v1 duel!

This is not an exploit at all!
Our commanders keep leading massive zergs to keeps and doors and of course know how and where to place siege, so we give it to them…what part of this is an exploit?

exploiting is the jumping and glitching through gates.
exploits are dropping down from cliff into inner keep at hills.
exploits are using invulnerable zones near spply camps to kill enemies and run back into invulnerable zones
exploits are pulling lord on the top of the garrison

so how could this be possible an exploit?!

You (IoJ) should be used to that from BG (Oceanic) / SoR (More NA) though. As for TC, we will try and hold on more than a week in T2, but I have my pessimistic reservations. That said, I will be watching this match with great interest! So make some great battle reports and score updates for me please?

I will miss that certain special someone (FA d/d ele commander that played late PST timezone).

but u realize that u took garrison like that and our towers that were upgraded!u attacked the lord and took cliffside!that is not the way to do it and if u wanted that POI soo bad why not wait till u guys own it which u did plenty of times this week. u took the places and cost us a lot of money we spent on upgrades,seriously u got to be kidding me!

I just hopped into FABL to see if we really had people trying to exploit anything so we could tell them to knock it off and report them, and ran into a few members of both TSP and JEST. All they were doing was the breakout event.

On a side note, this forum is a joke. I think they just infract any post that contains the word “exploit” and a name or guild tag. So I guess this post will probably be another point for me tonight

There is also the possibility of dynamic population changes. What about this, if you are in a Q for WvW you get sent to some other server (not in your current match) to fight it out while you wait for the Q to pop. This would add some bodies to other servers, even if just for a short time, it might also promote transfers to smaller servers from big ones. Say your always in a Q on your server, and you try one out in this way and you actually like the community for the time your there, you may be interested in going there perm. Just an idea.

I like that Idea, however that would entitled a whole redesign of WvW to make it work. On another note though what you are advocating is a WvW system that works similar to hot join sPvP. The way WvW currently works its based on server achievement not individual achievement. So this wouldn’t work unless there was som kinda mercenary system.

Now a mercenary system would be great. A menu that pops up and lists servers that need the most help at the current time of any given match up you are rewarded for helping them. To prevent exploiting you would be given a quest that contained objectives. Like take X amount of camps, towers and keeps. Only then once that is complete you would receive some kinda daily type reward that had a chance for a ascended ring or something.

Again to do anything like this stuff would require significant redesigns. But I like the idea of a mercenary system that only works like break out events when servers need help.

hahaha,don’t forget we gonna add a ne feature where pve players simply can knock on the door of a keep to go in and get his last vista and poi for the world completion.
