To give an idea, imagine that Aegis heals, imagine that Aegis AoE heals when it’s blocked, now imagine that Cleric Guardian dispensing AoE Aegis onto Mesmer Clones just from blocking attacks without using any skills….. Now imagine using those skills to dispense more AoE Aegis… Or we can just dodge for 2k AoE heals.
This ^ is hyperbole at its best.
AEGIS can heal true, but at best its just over 1k, and only the person it’s on.
The dodge heal is more or less 1k and requires endurance to use so at best you will get 3 every 12 seconds if you can keep vigor up permanently _(guardian cannot do that themselves)
This all also requires you sacrifice the vast majority of your offenses and be little more then a heal bot, one that is outdone easily by a druid or ele BTW due to their increased CC &possibly damage potential while doing the same or better healing.
The heal does just over 2k on dodge. This is my build though, otherwise as base then yes it’s rather low.
The tooltip is correct to your statement but doesn’t apply itself like that… The tooltip on Aegis heals is for that person who has the Aegis, but once blocked it has a 180 radius I think, very small but still noticeable. Another case of an incorrect tooltip is the Daze Mantra from Mesmer which also has a 180 radius to it even though it’s meant to be single focus.
You are right, it has next to no damage, for mine I run s/f m/s and that’s only for block abuse, heal abuse and blind spam, ontop of a our diamond skin (Hunters Fortification) in the DH line which makes us immune to conditions via blocks of which we excel at but like I said in my first sentence “DH cleric guard is extremely powerful with the right build and duo partner”… The build is next to useless with PUGS so instead I run a CORE build variant in soloq (refer to pic), the DH build I have in mind has been built in tune with a mesmer running inspirations trait line but either way all the heals are there
If you were worried about vigor, I believe the Energy sigil has you covered and maybe the Honor trait line if the passive vigor on crit is still there.
I’m just a scrub who enjoys making weird builds, but the heals on Guardian CAN be next to permanent.

I don’t see anything wrong with staff 5 on Rev, it counters my Necro but it’s useless against my Mes….
It’s a strait line attack, and I get the feeling people don’t like staff 5 Rev because they are playing a class such as necro (flavor of the month META) and not getting the easy IWIN button smashing games they were hoping for.

I don’t think ruby players should be matched with Sapphire players… Breakin into Ruby was the biggest pain because all the Ruby players in the match were stuck at bottom of ruby using classes like thief and warrior and generally did not care for winning, and why would they, they are stuck at bottom of ruby on a 30+ loss streak.

I don’t get this temporary 4v5 business… Generally you swap when you have died, and you are loaded back in before the timer expires.
I did a swap yesterday, we had 4 Necro so for lolz I got our team a 5th mid match because the enemy was complaining about all the “bandwagoners”, then we just focused the one guy who couldn’t stop complaining all game.
What is their not to understand it takes about 2-3 mins for someone to chose and load back into a match. “Generally” 4v5 throws the match no matter how much time you’re out. Though as i said i acknowledge that sometimes when you swap you can help a match but it is extremely rare.
What is there not to understand that swapping and loading character before the death timer expires makes no difference to the game? The death timer is not 2-3 minutes, and if you’re dead then it’s a 4v5 anyway until you respawn, you just respawn on a different class.
If you are going to swap class, it’s because you have a class in mind, you’re not gonna sit there deciding on class for 2-3 minutes. The timer is 1:30 and those people would get dishonored.

There’s a few good Cleric Guardians running about, came across one yesterday in 3 different games and he never lost mid, paid him for the build and I ended up doing the same, never losing mid in my next 5+ games.
It has half decent damage, but the heals were too funny…. As for discussion on Necro, the build involves a tonne of condi removal with little to no boon application which renders most current Necro builds useless.

I use mine as a +1 between Home and Mid… I always enter the initial mid fight behind allies then target the weaker classes like Thief, Mes, Ranger or Warrior… (mine is marauder S/A build though)
It’s a really fun class, play it the way you enjoy it as it does have a lot of viable options regardless of the situation, especially boon stacking.

The double elite is strong, especially on Moa, but it’s also easily blocked by invulns, blocks, aegis, dodge, evade and so on…
Personally I enjoy double time warp on mid fight at start, especially on small nodes, that 20s AoE slow/quickness has proven to be extremely useful. (I’m also a scrub who enjoys bringing supportive skills on any class)

Players have always had to level their classes to unlock class abilities. I get that some parts of the system are universal such as WvW levels but why should leveling an elementalist also level every other class on an account?
This isn’t PvP with the objective of creating an equal playing field. In WvW players have to earn their class skills before they can use them whether it be going from 1 to 80 or leveling the elite spec. This is the same system in most MMOs and the same one since day one in GW2.
True if this was towards your argument but mine was directed at the action taken towards uplevels and the comparison between uplevels vs 80 and now CORE vs Elite.
As for " why should leveling an elementalist also level every other class on an account?"… I don’t believe that at all, I believe that if you level 1 Necro Elite, it should unlock the Necro Elite, it should be account bound. I was a toonaholic, 3-4 of every class all with various builds for different situations, It’s torture to sit there and level the same skill tree 4 times, it’s almost borderline punishment for being one of those customers who regularly supported the game by purchasing all those character slots, gear, bag tabs, make over kits, transmutation stones, food, utilities, toys and so on.
So as to WvW, why remove uplevels (Rally bots) if having core and elite builds yield the same results? Why is my enemy or ally always subpar build? Why is that poor Mesmer using his Chronomancer tree with only enough points to hold a shield? He’s practically missing a whole skill tree right there, but hey guess I can go sneeze on him for a challenging kill because that’s always fun.
We can level our specs anywhere yes this is true, but in PvP if you’re level 10, you get level 80 stats to compete… PvE is no different either, you are level 3 and you have a selection of 3-4 maps aiming at levels 1-15 to explore or if you are over levelled then your stats are reduced to match the maps.
Edit: If Elite specs were available to all paying customers in WvW, then maybe some guilds might be able to get guild builds active again for zerg busting, GvG and other scenarios… (I think most people know how often most zerg busting guilds would class switch and build switch to help synergise the rest of the guild members raiding)

To me the difference between the uplevel rally bots that were removed are the same comparison to CORE and ELITE specs…
So we should just remove Elite specs from WvW or give everyone access to it like in PvP…
The levelling system in WvW is broken. 200+ tower flips to level the spec, and once you have levelled it you have to switch back to a class thats subpar again just to relevel the spec because everyone tied to Elites in soulbound, even if you have 3 Necro, you have to level all 3 Necro Elites.

The requirement of ascended gear, that people put on other people, is what causing A LOT of people not being able to take part in it.

I’ve had gear ready to go for the last 2 months (ALL ASCENDED) but I am still yet to find 9 other people who want to start a raid.
I often find myself standing there spamming map chat and posting LFG but I never get anything, people want experienced raiders, not people trying to start one.

I mained thief untill HoT and what he did was straight impossible,
he teleported from close to far instantly after capping close.There’s a trap with 10,000 range teleport. It’s broken AF but really good skill to take if you plan on being the decap thief.
if by broken you mean doesnt work 75% of the time i agree with you but still pretty good when it does work mesmer portal is more reliable and can teleport teammates anything a thief can do another class can do better….
on topic ive seen some hacks for the first time during this season a certain necro was using teleport and invisability hacks for over a weak but saw a dev reddit post not too long ago saying he was delt with he was being very obvious about it specially on a class that doesnt have access to those things really im sure other people abuse whatever he was doing just not as obviously.

2 years ago I was having a 3 vs 3 against some enemies. All of the sudden the 3rd servers zerg came and wiped all 6 of us. They even spammed emotes on us and tossed siege on my body. Talk about being violated.

The point I was making because you seemed to have missed it, was that players have asked for a million changes that would encourage PvP in a mass PvP zone or made suggestions to improve WvW but rather instead we get Airships, Mass Stealth Fountains and a map that’s more deadly than an enemy player. We had CDI threads asking the community for changes we thought would improve EotM and the BL maps before they were released, just about everyone made similar suggestions but nothing was implemented.
Maybe instead of saying Guilds fighting other Guilds in WvW was a violation I probably should have said “If you’re into WvW, typically you’re into PvE” – Mike Video reference
So a definition of the word Typically: Exhibiting the qualities, traits, or characteristics that identify a kind, class, group, or category.
He is saying that WvW was never meant to be a mass PvP zone, it was meant to be a PvE map that you could get ganked on, which last time I checked it’s not what the WvW community wanted. honestly we were told this patch was coming after HoT before shatterer and other patches, forgive the community for being skeptical after 3 years of failed promises and zero support, they did after all stay to stick it out despite the many promises that things would get better.

A scrapper with below average skills can walk all over a reaper, infact anyone can just by getting close and moving around because it will reset the AA chain (or any skill they were currently using resets to 3s if you just walk behind them or through them), but sure, keep your distance, don’t dodge the 3rd attack and keep on asking for nerfs.
so now i have also to dodge the 3rd autoattack? not only all the spamm autotargeted impossible to see animation of necro aoe and chilled when i touch him, now i have to count their autoattacks and dodge the third one, tell me just in comparison, how many autoattacks of DH you dodge? Cuz if you even dodge one, i’ll tell you l2p.
And the walk all over a reaper doesnt make a sense, this is just another example of how unskilled necro players are, cuz in fact THEY CAN ROTATE TOO WHILE ATTACKING!!!! Well due to all the Reapers lately I’ve been playing a Marauder Scrapper and it’s producing easy trade offs… I offered you some basic tactical advice to PvP by running through your opponent and making use of basic positioning. It’s not hard to dodge the 3rd AA, wether it’s called for is completely up to you. Personally I only dodge it when I have stability up.
I don’t dodge any DH auto, on engie I use reflective shields.
Tell me your class and what you have trouble with and I’m sure I can think of a few quick ways to help you with your problems.
There’s also the most basic solution, you will find many players do this regularly, but press ctrl + T on the Necro from the start engagement… A lot of players who have played PvP for a while know that Reaper/Rev is the start choice on who to burst first. Followed up by Ele/Guard then onto ranger/scrapper. Mes and Thief are usually left to last due to stealth and mobility, which make them harder kills and harder to focus, you also lose your target IF they stealthed.
There’s also playstyles that come into it, if you’re like most of my enemies who charge head first into an engagement with leaps or stealth or what ever then you’re more than likely to lose… Very rarely I come across another player who will size me up and strafe from side to side throwing out weak attacks waiting on prime conditions for a burst, an example of this would be Necro and Marks, most Necro I see they throw down ALL of the marks in the same spot, then complain they died to conditions or ran out of transfers… No thought at all about their skills, just spam and rely on passives to win.

Except it’s the Worst Attribute™.Vitality is not, we can say the same for direct damage.
Healing power is not either -> hello poison.Conditions don’t have counter, only cleanses, condition damage reduction or duration reductions via traits.
Vitality is… The more health you have, the longer it will take for you to bleed out. If you have an extra 1000 health and you’re bleeding out at say 100 per second then that 1000 health has now bought you an extra 10 ticks or 10 seconds, therefor technically making it a counter, it’s pretty simple math tbh.

Losing streaks are the best times to experiment with new builds and classes, but having a big losing streak isn’t your team mates fault, it’s yours.
If you’re on a big losing streak, you need to adapt to what ever it is you feel is costing you the game…
You got bad allies who down fast? Play Druid.
You got bad allies who can’t kill? Play DH traps or what ever you can kill with.
You got bad allies who can’t rotate? Play an Ele, Mes or Thief or anything with high mobility.
If you’re not having fun, then make your losing streaks fun by playing “cancerous” builds, or indulge your enemies in a bit of fun, I make plenty of friends through PvP just with dance parties mid match if it’s a complete blow out.

Can we get some low glide tracks? sort of like toboggan tracks, make a halfpipe that descends at the right angle that allows players to glide the track only a few feet off the ground, throw in a few gaps here and there and maybe small updrafts to refresh glider endurance…

I’ve had a lot of win streaks but that was after my loss streak, I adapted my builds and playstyles according to my allies, I switched toons when needed and rotated while allies tunnel visioned mid. I progressed through the ranks after I got good so to speak or brought a more useful build suited to allies, such as druid if my team was running mostly glass builds.
This season is not a grind season, there is no medal for every player just because they qued for ranked.
