Sorry about your issue Spooky. There is even one posted there right now thats 14min olds. In all honesty tho I hope this happens to more people and they complain on the forums so anet will finally get on the ball and get there ingame lfg tool up and running.

This is why 3rd party sites are bad. Anet has no control over them.

Not really. The account was botting so they banned it. If or when the actual owner comes back they can reset the password, release the acount, and rollback to before the account was hacked.

I have a question regarding the above-mentioned situation. How long does it take to transfer your account to another server, using this method (deleting all the characters)?

Is it immediate? Because one guy mentioned that it took him 72 hours, which means that you’ll loose your names.

Can someone confirm/deny?

Mine was instant, but it was an NA to NA and a little while back.

I believe that if profanity is against the code of conduct, the game developers should not include an option to disable profanity filtering. It’s extremely misleading.

A lot of people turn it off becauss it block words or parts of words that in there context are not bad, but the filter would block them.

Just havd to be aware of your suroundings. Map chat in LA, not the best place for questionable language. In a party with friends you can use language more losly.

I ran in a couple “talk like a sailor” groups and it’s a blast. You just have to find like minded people.

unfortunately nothing a-net can do since it’s a third party site. There is the flag option on the site, but who knows how actively it is monitored.

Just another reason why there should be an ingame lfg tool.

Also you may want to remove his name cause it’s against the forum rules.

The only time they change your display name is if it’s offencive. I looked it up in google and the urban dictionary and didn’t find anything. Maybe i’m just not seeing it.

Did Arenanet get hacked? Coz the email address looks exactly the same as the official one? or did they just replace the “L” with and “i” in the “noreply”? I’ve received two emails already =/

There is also a check box to remember the network. As long as your ip isn’t to erratic you shouldn’t have to do it too much.

Yeah if you put anything not soulbound that you want to keep in the bank and then delete all your toons you can change worlds for free. The transfer charge is for characters but not the account.

You’re allowed to have multiple accounts as long as they are play indepently which has been covered many times on these forum.
Also there is nothing wrong with buying the game for someone else.

He that owns the key, owns the account.

If the key cannot be used when you purchase and activate it, you should file a ticket to regain the stolen account. You have an invoice proving your purchase, I assume.

I’d avoid mentioning anything about it being “used,” however.

Yeah, but his invoive would say it was used and they usually ask for more info then just the key like when it was created, where it was purchased and one of the character names. Best thing probably if the key doesn’t work is just get a refund from were he purchased it and buy it from a registered seller.

You could send a ticket into support but I don’t think it’ll help. With the guild mission stuff as long as you still have officers they can research the missions for the guild.

The only thing the leader has access to that the officers don’t is editing ranks and emblems

I’d look into checking with your ISP if you say a lot of your friends are having issues and they are in the same area there may be connection issues there.

at 80 you only get more skill points not trait points. It would probably better if you could post a screen shot of your traits to see if anything looks funny

You could usd something like keypass. You can manual store your paswords there or let it randomly generate them. I have it on boh my phone and pc.

Unfortunaly with him having the same rank as you he had all the same powers as you. He beat you to the punch. Not much can be done but create a new one and have yourself as the only leader. Maybe see about pulling as many away from the old guild to your new one.

One you put an item in the vault it’s not really your item anymore. If there was anything really important you could ask an old member to take it out for you before he comes to your new guild.

Well just a guess, but someone may of reported it as offencive which got it changed and may have included a 3 day suspension. Did you try closing the client and reconnecting.

Hello Flingurt.
I am afraid there is no much we can do from the forums nor from Customer Support to help you with this issue. I do not know when you made your last server transfer but theoretically you could still transfer to another one after the seven days have passed, before the 28th arrives. By deleting all your characters you will remain still in the same server and you will need to wait anyways. However, if you do not mind losing all your progress, you can uninstall and install again the game and then you can choose another world. These are your possibilities.
We close the thread now. Thanks for your understanding.

The last post by Eve said that unistalling the game would loose all progess and you could choose a new server.

I don’t believe this to be correct is all our character data is stored on there servers.

Am I wrong.

Yeah you’ll want to send in a support ticket to get those ip ranges removed and I would look into getting the moble authenticator. If you are currently using the e-mail authenicator it means they also have access to you e-mail so you’ll want to change that password. Also scan your system cause you could have a kelogger which is how they got your password to begain with.
