It’s a luck game tho. You’d have to get a rare within every sixth try to make a profit. The toilet usually isn’t that nice.
You can unlock everything your profession has to offer at level 80 and there is really no reason not to do so.
Whenever you ‘level’ past lv80, you will now receive a spirit shard, which can be used at the Mystic Forge to buy materials. Pretty much like your excess skill points were before.
You will find your spirit shards in your wallet.
You don’t get spirit shards for leveling. You can get them as drops, from dailies, or tombs of knowledge if an 80 uses it.
Tomes gives spirit shards to 80 characters while exp does nothing for 80s
Also for most items there traded so fast that unless the order was for a crazy amount it’s going to get filled and you’ll be right back at the top again. Don’t but bids in for items you want right now. Place bids for stuff you’ll want tomorrow so your not just sitting at the trader refreshing the screen.
If they can break the zerker meta then I am all for it. Nothing is more boring to me than a game were going max damage is by far the superior way to go. No matter how much healing/toughness I might equip, I will still get one shot like I would in zerker gear and that to me is the problem…many stats are worthless beyond the pure dps ones.
If they make enimies hit faster but smaller damage. If done right would make zerker gear not survive without outside healing because of not enough dodges/blocks.
Tanks could soak the damage better
And healers could keep up.
You’d still want an occasional dodge or die attack too.
There needs to be a line between making it easier for tankier players to sustain in these environments but also making it possible for skilled glass cannon players be able to survive. Forcing a style of play out of a scenario is the same as creating class restrictions, as many players do not possess multiple sets of armor or have interest in doing so or playing anything but their desired role; the same logic as to why people are upset DPS is the “meta” for speed-clears right now – the support and tank playerbase is unhappy that they have no presence, just as DPS players would be if content required them to build tankier. Do note as well that the “requirements” for tank/heal specs are completely artificial and are only defined by the players themselves wanting faster clears, not by the game’s intrinsic encounter mechanics.
I do believe they are pushing this slightly with some of the new mobs in HoT that focus ion grouping up and dealing large numbers of small attacks.
If we have people filling roles you’ll still could be full DPS cause you have the tankier player taking the hit or using active defence and bring kept up by the person that filled the healing roll. You DPS would just have to watch out of AOE attacks which your skilled players could dodge or your going to put extra strain on the support character
This is for group content. For open would you have to make sure that if someone is in DPS that they can kill it before they run out of there active defences and also that someone speced for support can kill it as well with there passive defence

Still doesnt make any sense, if we say that we need a healer/tank/dps, some of the classes will be locked into that category simply because they do deal more healing/damage or are tanky. Unless if that was the reasoning of the specializations? Some players see it as being more cool stuff, I always saw it as a way to implement stuff to some professions that currently needed it.
But even then, there will always be that 1 profession which simply are a lot better to do 1 thing, which would ultimately lock them.
You’ll see those groups that perfect setup, but you’ll also see groups that take whatever because we can fill all rolls.
That’s not much different then what we have now with pugs.
What will be annoying tho is if we have to fill up are inventory with gear. Cause yeah I can spec into healing, but it won’t do much good if none of my gear has any healing stats.
And do you have a link?
POI. Watch the next 3 minutes or so.
Thanks
Well if they want to have professions to be able to swap to different roles as needed I think they should of removed all the stats from gear and put the stats in the trait lines. Instead they did the opposite.
And do you have a link?
I’m out of town so can not test myself. What about the skin. Can it be added to the accounts wordrobe or is everything kept separate from your non bata account.
Cause if you can add the skin then theoretical if you and a precursor drop you could craft the legendary and at least have the skin after the bata.
Everything is separate.
I took a Black Lion salvage kit, salvaged an item on Rev, went back to non beta character and the salvage kit use was not logged.
Ah well it looks like they covered all there bases then.

There is always room to improve a system. They could add a star mechanic. Who ever makes the lfg gets the star. He is then immune to kicks. If he DCs the star is passed down so the instance stays. He is also able to pass the star if he wants for any reason.

Not sure where you got that it wants to be forged. It’s just regular gear. Salvage or sell.
I have the good old phalanx build. I run this build in any part of PVE and i have not run into trouble.
I have full sets of crafted beserker gear and use the hoelbrak ruin . it gives might and stability.
This means im always alive to drop my battlestandard and get the glas cannons up. The people that says " GO full dps " has not realized you cant kill much by sitting down throwing rocks at it .
I use http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Warrior_-_Phalanx_Strength but i only have one banner , Balanced stance and for great justice . This way i keep my mates at high might and i cant get bogged down as i have stability.
Berserker gear is full DPS. Warriors have some good base survivability with the highest base HP,highest armor, and a good healing signet
The obvious answers if you buy two identical items from Black Lion and find you can only salvage one of them are either that your client is bugged in some way, you accidentally bound one by unlocking its skin to your wardrobe, or you equipped it and changed its ‘type’.
Personally I’ve never heard of this particular problem before, could you confirm you actually bought two of exactly the same item and without unlocking skins or equipping either found you couldn’t salvage both?
If the answer is yes, report it as bug by submitting a ticket to support. Screenshots showing both items, with one highlighted red to show its not salvageable would be helpful – particularly if the shot of your inventory also showed you had salvage kit(s) in inventory. The reference to ‘highlighted red’ reflects that non-salvageable items appear red in inventory when you activate a salvage kit – just in case you didn’t know.
These are the items he is talking about. The gear can’t be salvaged because that would screw up the crafting market, but you are able to sell the gear on the TP to get some money back. There is also a version that drops from mobs which is salvageable. You can usually tell which one is the unsalvageable by looking at the by order. The Unsalvageable one will usually be a lot lower.
Also changing the binding does not change whether it can be salvaged or not. Anything blue and lower doesn’t soulbind ether.
(edited by simplesimon.2084)
You’ll find them in just the white armor. The salvgagable ones come from drops while the others are sold from armor vendors. The vendor ones aren’t salvageable just like your karma or badge gear. I wish they were soulbound on acqire that way they wouldn’t show up on the TP.
The reason lending stores work irl is cause the lender can take action. They can sezze your asests., garnish wages, and take you to court. In game you have none of those options. Al l you could do in game is wisper them each day asking for a payment until they block you and then you wouldn’t even have that.
@ a 1000 here too. The only items that hit that tho are my t7 mats. Everything thing else once I hit the 500 mark gets 250 sold on the TP
Since you have so many mice have you even tried using an other one. I play daily with most that time being one handed with out any issues.
Another notch on the belt. Definitely wasn’t a pretty win. 0 seconds left on the clock, but he still died
Can you actually remove infusions with the extractor? I’ve never purchased one to try it.
You can but agony infusion can’t be put on weapons or armor.
The simple agony resistance from fractals for 75 relics CAN be put on weapons and armor. So I am not sure which infusion you mean. This is of course ASCENDED armor/weapons
The expensive ones that are actually worth using the extractor on.
This has nothing to do with mouse sensitivity settings. It’s a bug in the game. I already reported it.
Basically if you HOLD right click on/near your character while almost fully zoomed in, you can’t change directions because the cursor becomes visible.
You can’t walk, jump, or move in the direction you want to go.
It’s no bug you just need a new mouse
How many? My last chest didn’t give me too many IIRC. I’m nearing my next chest but I’m concerned that it won’t give me enough stones.
5 per chest, 10 per large chest, 15 per heavy chest and 25 per massive chest. By the time you get to 5k AP you should have around 100.
My question is do you use mystic salvage kit just for exotic and rare or for everything? Because 100 mystic stone is about 33 mystic salvage kit. When I was in farming mode at Silverwaste I was able to go througth 1 kit per week, but that was crazy time. I usually go througth 1 per months, which mean that I always have more stone than I need.
But if you salvage with them a lot, you man not receive enough stone.
I use them for everything. The extra coin from vendoring minor sigils/runes is kinda nice. Mostly I just don’t like to carry around basic kits though because they only have 25 uses. 50 uses on basics would be nice considering we do more salvaging these days compared to the old days.
Also I play on 5 different characters so moving a copper fed kit between them would not be convenient.
It’s not bad moving stuff between characters once you get into a rutine. I have 11 80s that share 4 20 slots bags, both infinite salvage kit, portal stone, airship pass, all infinite gathering tools, full ascended gear, food, potions, goodies, and toys.
I have the top two back slots for shared items. When I go to log out I hit the bank and it all goes back in the same place for the next toon.
1. It probably said zerk which means berserker gear and traits.
2. As long as he is inside when you enter the map the dungeon is on you get an option to join that instance.
3. People will run there 80s and when the boss is almost dead swap to a low lvl toon for the xp.
4. Dungeons down level you just like open world so going is with am 80 is easier but you won’t one shot everything
Doing the daily also gives you three SS. As for getting them as a drop I don’t believe I’ve got any yet, but if it goes straight to the wallet I just may not of noticed.
Yeah well I have leveled up 3 times since the patch and I have not received any hero points from leveling
Check the training tab.
I have checked it I have no points after leveling 3 times
What level are you and how many hero challenges do you have complete?
How many points were spent by the system?
Idk and the fact that this is so much of a problem is ridiculous as I am not the only one with this problem. Something needs to be done.
The reason I ask is maybe when they pre spent your hero points to unlock skills you had before the update they had to pull point you hadn’t earned yet which is why you didn’t get any the last couple lvl ups.
The nice thing with outfits it they are unlimited uses. You can apply it right at level one and keep the same look all the way to 80. If it was armor it would cost like 90 charges.
There could always have 2 versions of Orr. One for pre Zhaitan and another for post. Each with there own different events.
Yes it would split the player base a little, but only in that area.
Yeah well I have leveled up 3 times since the patch and I have not received any hero points from leveling

buy an unlimited use harvesting tool… problem solved.
No it doesn’t.You still have to cancel after the node is used up to get out of the animation, lower levels can’t use the unlimited ones, and there’s still the problem of wasting charges on the rare harvesting tools with limited charges.
There is no minimum lvl for the unlimited tools. I pass them to my key farmer all the time.
Good to hear.
15 char.
Continue with support. Replay to the same email and make sure they know these are gem items. Others have got them back for this same reason.
From the sound of it you were using a crafting guide. The thing with those is when you reopen the page it reupdates the cheapest way. If your using those you’ll always want to stop at a 25 mark.
For we’re you are at now you’ll have to find what your missing to make complete itesm up to 125 and then refresh the guide and keep going.
I don’t think there are. You just have to go with rabid for your back item. If they expand the forge recipe to back items you could change it then.

When they do the roll back it rolls everything back to a time before the initial compromise including AP. Any items you got from opening those chest previously are gone and when you get the AP again you will re earn those chests.
But realize that the story rewards will be based on the level of the story so expect lots of stuff you can’t use, vendor, TP, salvage or forge.
Actual the the PS stuff can be salvaged. It the gear from lvl ups that can’t.
Can you actually remove infusions with the extractor? I’ve never purchased one to try it.
You can but agony infusion can’t be put on weapons or armor.
What do you mean you are loosing everything?
It says in the patch notes, NOTE: All upgrades are lost as part of this conversion.
So what you needed to have done before stat changing, was convert some gold to gems, or buy some gems, and get yourself an Upgrade Extractor.
I changed the stats on my greatsword, and was able to save all my upgrades thanks to extracting.
Except the extractor is more expensive then the most expensive rune.
I believe they are used the same as Skill Points in crafting at mystic forge.
Actually, they are limited in number per character, as you can no longer level beyond 80 and champion bags drop instead a special mystic forge currency.
They just sit there!masteries, new specialisations and utility skills, with each new expansion.
right now you only need to reahc level 80 and 60 challanges to unlock everything.
meaning the othe rpoints will be saved up for those comming ways to spend them.
That changed it on the release. You don’t even need the extra 60 to unlock everything. Being lvl 80 is all you need.
There is a work around. You could craft ascended armor of an other stat and then throw it in the forge with the exotic zealot insigina. It’s more pricey then just crafting the gear, but it’s cheaper then buying the current ascended reciepies.
Adding HP to bosses doesn’t make them challenging. It makes them a DPS race.
It would be very hard to make any open world boss actually challenging because if you mess up and die all you have to do is WP and run back. All adding HP did was drag out the fight.
Have you gone under the training tab? How many hero points do you currently have?
No disconnects here ether.
FIrst of all, I wish people would stop using the term “slap in the face”, because it’s either hyperbole, or you’re misusing it. Either way…
They can’t let you reset the points you’ve bought, because it goes against the idea of unlocking traits. This is only a problem for a character the first time you go through as you’re leveling and in a few levels will work itself out anyway. Just go hunt down some hero point challenges. This is a transitional problem that doesn’t affect new characters at all. Just existing ones, that were caught in the transition.
It’s like skills, In the old days, if you bought a skill, you couldn’t refund that and buy a different skill. The idea was to make the choosing of skills as you level something that has weight behind it. That if you buy the wrong one and don’t have points. you have to wait for the next one. Core specializations now work the same way and for any new character created with give that same issue.
Is it inconvenient? Sure, it’s annoying for a few levels. You play for a few hours and it’s all gone, you’ll have more points, you’ll have unlocked different traits. It’s really a small inconvenience. It’s not a slap in the face.
Because it’s a transitional situation and not something most players have to deal with, there was zero reason to take the developer time to develop a system that would only be used once, during the transitional period.
Don’t you think it took the developers more time to make an algorithm that looked at your current build and then buy skills based off that build then it would of just to leave everyone blank.
Now if they had reset hero point option it wouldn’t be an issue. They could of done the preselection so people could just jump in and play, and those that didn’t like what they got could just reset it and choose there own.
Is it impossible to get on a full server?
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: simplesimon.2084
Full is in regards to how many have chosen that server as there home server. For it to drop from full someone has to transfer off or Anet raises the server cap.
In pve and spvp you can play together as long as you are both in the same region. If your in a party together it will put you in the same map. If you do happen to get different map you can right click on there portrait and choose join instance. The only thing you won’t be able to do together is WvW.
Some people have had luck getting into full servers by trying at odd hours, but the only way for someone to get into a full server is for someone to transfer off that server.
Another option if for them to transfer to a server that isn’t ful and you join them there.
