So, essentially what you are asking for is a way to have options like “Receive Whispers”:

• From All
• From Friends and Guild Members
• From Friends
• None

This seems like a reasonable feature request.
If Player A is on Player B’s friends list, but Player B isn’t on Player A’s friends list, how does that interaction work out?

Would this also extend out to things like mail?

(Please note this does not mean that this will happen, won’t happen, is planned to happen, and or not planned to happen)

These all sound like they’d be great additions. But there’s also one other thing that would take it a step further to really making the chat system feel good, and that would be filtering messages based on the text within them. I’m not sure how it would work out, but essentially, there’d be a list or something you can open in-game and add lines of text to it that would remove any message from a player that contains the blacklisted text.
For example, I add “best deal on gold” to the blacklist, then any messages that have those words in that order on it would automatically be removed from my chatbox, before I even see them. This would also make it less draining playing the game from the occasional player shouting incessantly about how bad the game is, balance sucking, etc etc, I just don’t want to see those messages, they promote nothing but negativity and it puts me in a negative mood, even if I do just block the person and forget they exist, because blocking somebody doesn’t let you un-see the things they said in the first place that led you to blocking them.

And then you would get
Good deals on gold
Gold cheep
B3st deal on gold
And so on.

If so you are getting the text messages because someone is trying to log into your account.

About the only good use for them is the higher agony resistance on rings or back items.

Sorry but in my opinion the SB upgrade is just a pain. There is nothing fun about going out and killing 13 portals every 15 secs to just be able and attack the boss.

You just need better inventory management. If your doing pve keep your wvw gear in the bank. Keep all your buff items in the bank and ether go to a bank each hour to refresh or keep instance bank item in your inventory.

For new builds you could get a decent test of them in the pvp area. It won’t be identical but would give you a feel of it to see if you want to make the investment.

If I appear offline I can’t see what is happening in guild chat. If I make a tab without whispers then I miss out on talking to people. So it’s either miss out on everything that is being said in both guild chat and messages, or get harassed by people like this. It’s absolutely ludicrous.

This function should have been in-game at release. I’m begging that it be put into HoT.

Literally any type of privacy settings for whispers. A “Do not disturb”, a “friends only” or hell even an offline mode that lets you see guild chat would be nice!

Well for DnD you can set the chat tab with whisper off.
Friends only could be added to the game
And for your offline mode with guild chat only you just need to set the chat tab to guild only.

So my really good friend, his brother, his girlfriend and a few other friends from my country bought the game.

They are really into WvW and I want to play with them.

The server (world) they are on is always full.

I thought I could stay up late, or wake up super early and the server would eventually become transferable with gems.

It has been MONTHS and the server is always listed as FULL.

Not even World of Warcraft handles servers like this. It is ridiculous that I can’t even get to enjoy WvW with my friends after various attempts to transfer for MONTHS.

I like they way they handle the servers myself. Other games base it off currently loged in which can cause issues during prime time where you can’t log in to your character. That will never happen here since it is based on how many call it home.

Sorry but it counts as an auto clicker. Would you get band for it probably not. They really only look at accounts if someone reports the player.

If you want. Equip a great sword and then go to the wordrobe tap an select the GS. That will then show all the skins you have unlocked for that weapon. Then take a screen shot and post it. We’ll see if we can see it for you.

Yep when you change stats using the forge it destroys the original and gives back a brand new item which is why it had no upgrades on it.

Did you change the stats on the ascended gear recently?

Actually in summer there is probably less time to play as an adult. Still working during the week, no summer break here. Weekends are spent at zoos, parks, water parks and what ever else my wife can come up with.

I love the character classes in this game, switching from class to class gives a different feel for the game which is great. I rotate between 4 classes which keeps doing the same content over and over somewhat fun. If I have to pick one to advance forward then I will become very part time player at best. I can already see groups kicking players because they have not progressed far enough in their expertise system.

The Masteries system is account bound, so you won’t need to pick one character to advance upon. That said, the Masteries system isn’t likely to come into play in World vs. World at all, at least as it’s currently presented..

That’s probably a good question for someone to put to the devs. Will World vs. World events/experience earned count towards Pact Tyria Masteries?

Probably not since WvW has it’s own type of mastery system already. It was even said by a dev a while gao that the WvW xp was was basically a test(precursor) for the new mastery system.

The one thread I’ve seen claiming this is a thread where an ANet staffer came on to say that that account had an extensive history of gold buying, which is way more than the 2 the guy was talking about.

Basing your request on the words of someone who was shown to be lying is to make a request to fix a problem that no one has shown to be happening. In other words, it’s a solution looking for a problem.

Just like it is highly unlikely someone will got thru the trouble of finding your actual address and then calling SWAT on you.

The guy had an EXTENSIVE history of gold buying. The gold was from yet another gold seller. They undoubtably already had his account flagged from before the policy change to remove gold. Why should they wait? Would waiting have changed the end result, a guy who bought gold getting gold removed from his account? No. It wouldn’t.

The guy was lying. There is no problem with people paying real cash to have money sent fraudulently to other accounts. Unless this becomes an actual problem then ANet is better off fixing real problems than spending Dev time and money to fix something that isn’t happening.

No matter how extensive the history is I still don’t believe you should be punished before you commit the act.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look to be the case if you take what other have posted as being truefull. There was a post a while back someone had received 300 gold which was still sitting in his mail. Anet removed 300 gold from his wallet and gave a 3 day suspension. The poster says he hasn’t bought gold and that support wasn’t helping. He then received another 100 gold later.

Presumably you missed this red post, that was on that thread, where an ANet staffer pointed out the guy had a previous history of buying gold from before the game started disciplining accounts. In other words, he was lying about not being a gold buyer.

I don’t know for Yak’s bend but several Full server will stay Full for month or even Years as this change comes 1.5 years of overstacking a few server to late.

In such a situation a queue doesn’t make much sense most people that queued in will have stopped playing before they could join.

Refreshing probably doesn’t make any sense, if the status changes it likely changes at reset (friday 20:00-20:15).

Actually the status does constantly change. The only way for a server to not be full tho is for someone to transfer off or Anet raises the cap

You have to look real close. Move the TP off to the side so you can see your person. When you sell an item you see a little bird fly off.

The ingame reason you can sell and not pick up is cause when you sell you send out the items with your carrier pigeon, but the TP doesn’t offer air mail delivery

Well they disabled both the guardian and engineer traits pretty when the new trait system came out.

The main reason is to get linin scrap from salvaged light armor.

Now in the past it’s always been that Anet would never contact you about your account so it was always a dead give away to phishing sites. If Anet is going to start sending emials first people are going to have to be very careful on what links they follow.

Like a crafting skill that lets you scribe known reciepes to a sheet. It would help with the cost on those reciepies that can no longer be found in the game.

Yep three is the min if you want to keep the exact names. You could cut it to 2 if you change one name by one leter

Yeah you can upgrade to the delux with gems, just can’t upgrade to ultimate that way.

Make sure you check your bank and all characters. They don’t get automatically added to the mini tab. You have to right click and choose add to collection.

Anet doesn’t send out messages. They just ban you and wait for you to come to them. These are phising atemts.

Plus it’s a good time with the new trait change. The last system was a bit rough on some players having to go out and unlock individual traits. The new system lets you unlock while leveling and gives access to things earlier.

My guess is the way upgrades are applied to accounts. If you really want to go back to before you bought HoT you could ask if an account rollback would fix this issue.

Read Chris’s post. You got hacked. The hacker uped you to HoT with a fake code. Since the code was applied you got the refund. Then they found the added code was and so they removed it. You have to work with support but Chris will take care of you.

I believe you still can but the cost to full 80 isn’t worth it cause to get the 10 levels for each you have to go to 500 now. If you level all just to 400 I think it would put you around lvl 63
