You can not get your ‘Skill Scrolls’ back. You can, however, accrue more Hero Points by completing Hero Challenges (formerly known as Skill Challenges).

You will also get hero points while leveling. When you hit lvl 80 you will have enough points to unlock everything in the training tab even if you do no hero challenges at all.
The permanent one currently isn’t in the store but it will get rotated back in from time to time. You may even get lucky and get it at a discounted price.
The thing with both karma and badge gear is it can’t be salvaged so any runes on it can’t be retived easily. Karma gear can be put in the forge. Badge gear can not.
If you have any plans of going for that collection you may as well add the pendant otherwise sell it. You can get lvl 80 gear with the same stats alot cheaper.
If you post some info about your current pc like processer, vidoe card, memory and mother board we might be able to give you some ideas on what you could upgrade to get a better experience.
All you do is right click on there name in chat and choose report. They won’t be in the game any more for a while after Anet reviews the chat. They take verbal abuse very seriously
No your current traits are not being grandfathered in so don’t waist your skill points and money unlocking stuff. If you want to be ready for Tuesday you should make sure your character has 65 skill challenges done. That will give you enough hero points to unlock everything.
Will the Ascended stat swap end up taking money out of the economy?
A LOT of people never had the intention of crafting Ascended gear; but they do have a few pieces of Ascended gear with worthless stats (from fractals for example). Now these people will be very tempted to forge the gear to get good stats. As I understand it, forging will require inscriptions/insignia. Zojja’s zerker inscription sells for 50g right now.
The inscriptions require are exotic at best 2~5G.

The forge recipe is the gear you don’t want, 5 ectos, EXOTIC insignia, and 10 spirit shards.
Let’s suppose I want to morph my Saphir (assassin ascended) armor to Zojja (berserker):
- 5 ecto (1.89g) * 6(pieces): 11.34g
- 1 zerk insignia (6.85g) * 6: 41,1g
Let’s suppose I’m using even just 1 +10 infusion on the armor: 57.99g
And that I’m using runes of strength (8.98g) * 6: 53.88g
164.31g right now to change ONE SET, ONE SINGLE TIME.
Cheaper yes, but not impressed.
With this implementation I woulnd’t be surprised in seeing this process to double or triple in price when the demand of mats will rise.
Ascended should be some kind of “boxes” in which you “add” your stats, not where you overwrite them.
They could even evolve in the legendary tier when you “unlock” them all.
Let’s say ~20 sets: ~500g for the first set + ~50g per set “upgrade” * 19 = 1450g for a full unlocked ascended set that would became “LEGENDARY” (at least in its functionality, not asking for the cool skins).
Overwriting != Progression.
How did you get a +10 agony infusion on your armor. It was my understanding those could only be applied to infused rings or back items.
I’m guessing it is more to do with the trait changes and the fact that they no longer give stats. Which is also why they are both coming out at the same time.

There’s all kinds of neat things in the home instance, I found a back alley full of skritt and the priestess of dwayna you meet when you wake up after the tutorial is there too, tending wounded soldiers.
Yep. NPC get added based on your choices. I have darn quaggoons in mine.
The arrow there is just a suggestion. You can even turn it off in the option menu so you can go explore were ever you want Yes you can’t access the first personal story till lvl 10, but they made it quicker to get thru the first 30 level.
Now if it was a large amount of gold the account may get flagged by the system as a RMT. It then gets reviewed by a GM. If the GM decides it to be a RMT they will remove the gold and can also ban the account. If this happens your friend will have to contact CS and explain what happened.
False positives are rare, but they do happen.
I’m thinking he is saying use the tomes and scroll before competing the tutorial, because the tutorial gives one level no matter whatever level you are.
When it comes out they haven’t said but the way you will unlock traits is thru hero points. Just for being lvl 80 you will get 400 points. You will need 465 for just the core traits we currently have. The additional 65 will come from the current skill point challenges we have in game.
If you have an enemy targeted a red bar will show up under the skill if you are out of range to hit it with that skill. Also if your running towards the enemy and start the skill when it’s out of range as long as it’s in range at the end of the casting time it will hit.
If your received an e-mail saying your account has been comprised it was a pishing e-mail. Anet will not contact you. They will just close the account and wait for you to contact them. If you entered any info on the phishing site make sure you change your password right away.
Hopefully we get some word on a time frame. I have two characters that were made after the last trait change that need some traits unlocked. I’ve been holding off because I don’t want the spend the time or gold and then have the trait update roll out a week later.
Got one of each at 80. I enjoy all of them. Depends on the mood. If I feel like being lazy I fire up the worrior. More active I’ll jump on the else or thief. I probably play my engenier the least of them tho.
Now servers only matter for WvW which is a multi-server war. For pve and spvp all that matters is the reagon, ether NA or EU because everyone is put in the same map. When that map filled they make a copy and new people coming to the map will then start to fill that one up.
Has anyone noticed that there are some “junk” items on the BLTC? Mostly in taking about the Favor of the bazaar and Favor of the pavilion. Are the two that spring to mind, there are probably more if I looked in to it more, and I was wondering if they will ever be used again? I mean there are quite a few on the TP, and no market for them as they are a “dead” currency.
Thoughts on this anyone?
Those can still be used. If you combine them, you get the Favor of the Festival, and the Sovereign Weapon Traders will still accept those.
I didn’t think that trader was still in game. Thought she left when the bazaar of the four winds finished.

You could also do something like WoW’s free trail. Have it cap at lvl 20. It gives them access to pretty much just the starter zones. Have the mail and AH locked out so players can’t use them as unlimited storage for there main accounts.
One issues you would run into is more servers becoming listed as full do to abandoned free accounts. This could be fixed by having a specific home server for free accounts. They would still play with others due to the megaservers, but would not affect WvW.
Wow, ok there….. for those of you, and you know who you are, the rest can disreguard this, if you read carefully what I typed, there was no trolling. It was simply a statement of disbelief. Having previously stated that the only other MMORPG that I’ve played was Guild Wars, and knowing that Guild Wars is no where near as complicated as Guild Wars 2, it goes to reason that I wouldn’t have that prior knowledge or experience of gaming long term on anything like this. I am a little disappointed that getting that flashy gear would take much longer than my attention span or real life would allow. I admit that this is probably not the game for me as I could not imagine spending more than a few months on one game (1-2 hours a day, 4-5 days a week). I will give the game a fair chance though and just go with the story, but I cannot see myself going beyond that. As for spending real world money to get that gear …. let me think about that … not a chance. If I wanted to throw money on a game that I’ve already bought, I would have gone with EVE, or WOW. That kind of spending, IMO, is for those that have too much money to know what to do with, or the just plain foolish. Note, I stated IMO. No need for hot headed retaliation. It’s just one of those things that, as you get older, spending money on something you can’t hold, use practically, or has any real world value, just doesn’t make sence. Ok I just revealed that I’m an old fart lol (a little exaggeration there). Anyways, there’s no need to carry this on any farther. MMOs are a different bread of games. With you single player games you may play thru it a couple times and then move on to the next game. MMOs are growning changing worlds that add more areas for you to play in so if you like it you’ll stay with it longer because there is new stuff to do. The last MMO I was with I stayed with for 5 years, but the power creap and gear treadmill got to much for me to keep up with du to real life commitments. GW2 won’t have the gear grind and hopefully there isn’t much power creap with the addition of the mastery system. So I see myself staying for quite a while.
Really when ascended gear was added to crafting they should of added a tab for ascended dungeon armor and weapons. The token count would have to be high so that way it was as close to equal as possible to the crafting option. In my mind dungeons are part of end game so it should have options for best in slot gear just like it did at the start of the game.
The way I look at it is with a sword you are going to swing it a fluid motion. Once from the right then left and then maybe from above with a more powerful attack. While with a bow or rifle you always fire it pretty much the same way.
Yeah you may want to wait till after HoT to craft ascended armor. A lot of people are freaking out saying the trait change is going to mess up there builds and armor choices. I personally don’t feel that way. I never spent my trait points for the stats, but the traits themselves instead. Trinkets can be picked up reletivly easy from the lurual vendor so you may want to start there.
Ascended is very expensive and time consuming. As a brand new 80 it may not be worth it to you yet. Exotics are very close stat wise and can be bought on the trading post, crafted, or earned thru dungeon tokens. I have an 80 of each class and so far have made ascended gear of each class that is then shared for which ever I feel like playing. I still kept there exotic gear in case I was lazy and didn’t feel like getting it from the bank
If you have connection issues a fix for the mean time would be to join a party. That way if you DC you can rejoin your group in that instance as long as no one has taxied in to cause the map to reach it’s hard cap.
