My GW2 account has been getting hacked constantly for the past 2 weeks. My son’s account also.

There is some kind of a security breach, whether they want to admit it or not.

Do you and you son still live together?
Do you use the same PC?
Do you use the same WiFi connection and is it secure?
Do you play at WiFi hotspots?

There can be lots of reasons why you are getting hacked. An Anet database compromise is probably not one of them or there would be waves of reports.

A mobile authenticator will keep them from getting into your account even if they have your login info.

Your e-mail is your account name. The Devilscandy.6873 is just a display name

I’m sorry she was hacked and that the account had already received it’s one rollback.

I don’t buy that the first ban was from buying something from the auction house. I’ve never once heard of someone getting banned from and AH purchase. Now if you said she bought it unknowingly from a gold seller thru the mail. That I would believe.

I really like the megaserver since it populates the map, but I can understand people complaining about the world bosses being too packed. One thing that would help with this is if there was more then just one boss that spawns at each 15 minute. If it was change to maybe 3 appearing at one time it would split the zerg up a bit and make the events less congested.

The pre event for MAW is still on the old timer which i believe is a bug and will get changed. So if you are doing the pre event at a time when the Svanir Shaman isn’t scheduled it will end at the totem.

For bugged events the only one I had so far was with the Megadestroyer. The three asurans never show so we all just hang around till the volcano erupted.

I would bug report it. The “To lvl 20 scrolls” were account bound which makes sense. I would hope a character that is a year old would of made it past lvl 20.

I looked around the app store for an app that lets you track which bosses you had done so far that day, but couldn’t find anything. I was using a spreadsheet to check them off. It was a bit of a hassle. So I made a basic app for android that list all the world bosses with a check box and then at reset you can reset them with one button. I figured I would share it if anyone wanted.

What makes you think your account was hacked. You obviously still have the same password since you can post here. It’s the same info to log into the game. You need to use your e-mail and password to log into the game not your display name.

They spoofed the address. You can send a e-mail and have it be from any sender if you know the protocol.

They don’t do suspension for gold selling. Suspensions are usually for language or inappropriate names. Now if you got an e-mail saying it was to inform you about a 72 hour ban then that was a phishing e-mail. It did not come from GW2 and hopefully you didn’t follow any of it’s links. If you did you’ll want to change your password and probably the e-mail that you use with GW2.

Cause we are not the Borg. Just cause human warrior can craft the finest in platemail armor doesn’t mean my asurin thief would know how to. The best he could probably do is tie to slabs of steel together and hang them over his shoulders.

There is nothing wrong with needing help. It’s no different than alcoholism, smoking, or other addictions.

When you log into the character select screen there is a world select button in the lower left corner. Click that and choose transfer to pick a new home server.

We had two people trying to take down the worm. As you can see we didn’t make much progress.

The reason why that attack is different is because I have different runes in soldier armor to keep the crit chance and crit damage up.

berserker power is 2150 and soldier is 2105

For those that are good with the math I’m just wondering how much damage is lost using soldier armor over berserker armor

It doesn’t look like I’m losing that much damage vs the extra 2240 HP

I haven’t seen this bug myself. Did you try having everyone die. I may mean you have to redo the fight, but at least it’s better than scrapping the whole run.

Try looking for or starting story mode of the dungeons. Your average pug will be more forgiving for non 80 in story mode over explorer mode.

There’s no excuse to use Signet of Air in fights

I use it for the extra stun break. Usually the 2 is more then enough, but I like to have the extra insurance if I mess up. Sure I could bring Mist Form or Glyph of Elemental Power, but I like the 25% speed when swiftness isn’t up.

Most people run dungeons for the gold or the tokens, in which case they want (and in my case, I expect) efficiency. Your screen shot shows 3 dead party members, meaning you guys barely killed the boss. Which means the run must have taken a while and involved several wipes.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind running with sub-80’s. And by running I mean switching to your alt once the boss is dead. I’ll hold the cutscene

Also notice that in the first screen shot the OP is displayed as a low level character, yet for the boss he has logged on his 80.

This leads me to believe that the boss was not downed on first attempt.

Based on the clock in the screen shots the dungeon also took over an hour to complete.

First screen shot shows the party already past the spider boss at 4:36 and the dungeon was completed at 5:19.

Actual you’re not very observant. I was on my 80 the hole time. No one swapped anything. Like my post said. The lvl 35 ranger had to leave so we just put up an LFM and an 80 joined. I’ve been in all 80 groups were at the end 3 to 4 people are dead. And yeah it was a longer run. A couple guys had issues with the gauntlet. Defending Hodge took a few tries and the final boss took two goes. 4 four first timers two of which are sub 35. I’d say they did pretty good.

Never happened here and every group I’ve been in WP as soon as the out of combat goes away

The Black Loin Pick is not an infinite tool and isn’t part of the refund. Also I don’t think the BL pick was 400 gems

Also they only give the refund for duplicates of the duplicate named item so that mean you must still have one account bound Chop it all ax and on Consortium harvest tool. Not sure how strick they are about it being the exact same tool.

It doesn’t cause CS ticket. People not taking responsibility for the actions and expecting other to fix their mess causes excessive tickets to be made.

So many huh. I would guess it’s less then 1% that have transferred when they meant to guest. All you have to do is read.

The process is fine as it is.

The buttons have a space between them.
They are different sizes.
One says “Guest” and the Other “Transfer”
The text after you click on it is different and says exactly what you are doing
The transfer screen shows you your gem balance and cost
In the end you have to ether click on the word “Guest” or “Transfer” a second time

Try visiting each map and see if there was a chest you got for completing the map that you forgot to open, including the WvW maps. That has been known to stop a person from getting the final chest.

This. I would check each map for an unopened chest. The chest you got was just for finishing CoS. Other than that you’ll have to file a support ticket.

Would you be able to help us by logging in and taking a screenshot of your overworld map. Just to see if something is missing

Right there can be a big part of the problem. Your sharing the the account with your brother. He could be changing the password in between the time you play or evening logging in from somewhere else which will knock you out of the game.

The stats between an 80 and a lvl 35 in AC really isn’t that much
My 80 in exotic/ascended is downscaled to

Power: 677
Precision: 484
Toughness: 256

while a lvl 35 in green gear with the strong prefix would have

and that isn’t including any stats from upgrade slots or if they are wearing rares instead of greens

People take all 80’s cause they want a quick easy run. But at level can be done just as easy. The lvl 31 was his first time in there

There can be two reasons for this,
a: support doesnt have a new restore point closer to the point you got hacked (then you can’t be helped i’m afraid).
b: support had some difficulty finding the exact moment you got hacked and took a rather big margin just to be sure. In that case a review might give a different decision.

If you already asked support this and their reply was again negative, you can ask an arenanet official to ask so. All you have tot do is update your above post with your 12-digit ticket number.

I would like to point out that getting hacked means your online security was breached. It is an additional service Anet is giving in the form of a account restoration. It is not a right you have or can claim.

One way RMT send gold is by sending small amounts over multiple days in the attempt to avoid detection. Her send you the gold everyday is probably what got your account flagged and banned. Hopefully you can work with support and get it fixed.

Up until this tread, I didn’t even know gw2lfg.com even existed, and I bet the vast majority of the players don’t know it either. I would also bet that there will be far far more players that will use the in game LFG tool, then there has ever been on some unnofficial, word of mouth only, website.

The question is will we use the ingame tool. With the website being word of mouth and past around thru different chats it raises the chances that you will get a higher lvl of player with it. Will people that know of the site leave it to join the masses or will they separate themselves.

It’s a pity they didn’t have the LFG in game from the start because then the website would never of existed.

Actually they just add the notes to the thread from the last major update. Usually the Tuesday one.
