In addition, there is a bug where you destroy all the seals, but the gate to the last boss remains closed. I encountered this the last time I did this fractal.

What is happening on this subject?

When guesting was introduced, this was still not made possible.

Will we ever be able to do dungeons with our friends from NA/EU if we are not in the same region? This is a very big disappointment.

I’ve looked through most of the threads on the subject, and anet totaly ignores all inquiries about this.

And where on the page does it say that the warrior traits got ‘reset’? I searched for
‘traits’, ‘reset’ and ‘warrior’ and also tried to skim the entire post. But I couldn’t find any mention of the traits being reset for warriors.

The way I found out, was by entering a dungeon, and noticing that the damage output was very low and that the weapon swap was 10 secs instead of 5.

So the gw2 support actually helps some players, and not others. And they lie when they say they can’t help.

I checked some of the threads, and if you read the posts, you will see that some players are denied help. Here is one:

It seems strange to me that they help players that have ‘pressed the wrong button’ and not players that have actually lost items (vanish into thin air) due to bugs. See fx:

They DO have the tools to go through this. Unique rings cases are an example of it. They refused to use them with your case, as with most, because of the reasons I explained.
You state they don’t have the tools. They have them. Hence, you are wrong.

You are not reading what I wrote, and hence just trolling. Read what I wrote. I did not claim that they do not have the tools. I wrote that ‘the gw2 support claims they don’t have the tools’. I will ignore you now, as this seems like talking to someone that 1) don’t know what he is talking about 2) can’t read a post.

I have contacted support, and they do not have the tools, according to them, to restore items lost due to bugs. I have lost items due to bugs, and support does not restore them, even when contacted several times, where you elaborate to make sure they understand what has happened.

Two unique rings issue is one of those cases they usually compensate the user with a different ring (same stats, different infusion slot, so he/she can equip both), proving they DO have the tools to work things out

I have heard that some players have had gem purchases that went wrong/bugged fixed. Are you claiming that gw2 support lies to me? And denies me the service, that they provide to other players?

You are wrong again. When support does not restore lost items (lost due to bugs), it causes loyal customers to stop recommending their product/company, and this results in a financial loss. The amount of bugs and lag of support is the reason I will NEVER buy a single gem, which again is a financial loss.

This is only in that specific fractal? And only with Harpy Hunters?

No, it happens in almost ANY dungeon/area with ANY enemy. Fx when you fight the slave driver in CoF path 1 with melee, he may become invulnerable while you are fighting him. So you deal some damage, then he becomes invulnerable for 10 secs.

I am not surprised anymore about the amount of bugs. It feels like this game is not ready for release yet. I have been beta testing since I bought the game. And it is the sole reason I haven’t bought a single gem for cash.

You can contact support and it might be that you will be compensated with another ring.

Support WILL NOT HELP in any way. Even when you lose stuff DUE TO BUGS and not due to game mechanics, the gw2 support will NOT help in any way or form.

If you contact gw2 support, you will waste your time, they will claim what you tell them hasn’t actually occurred, etc and so on. They WILL NOT restore lost items, no matter what (according to the communication I’ve had with gw2 support).

They will basically reply like this "we don’t know, maybe you didn’t do what you said, we cant help, sorry’.

This has been reported in-game and on the forum for a long time. Also sometimes it just stops (fx when you are auto-running or have the move-forward key pressed) then the skill causes you to stop running. You have to press the movement key TWICE in order to resume moving, negating what you tried to achieve (getting away / move faster).

The ways to make your second set work again are:
a) Go through a loading screen .
b) Get out of combat, remove your second weapon set and put it on again. Problem is, you usually won’t notice till fight (after cutsceen often boss fight) begins.

The easiest way to restore the ability to swap weapons (when you press the key assigned to ‘swap weapons’) is to click the ‘swap weapons’-icon in the ‘hero – equipment’ window.

The game does not give you a warning (ok/cancel) before you try to buy/wear a ring of the same type, nor does it tell you about in the item description. You have to spend time and energy to find out about this. Time that could be spend having fun.

The same goes for a lot of other stuff. Fx boosters/bonfire (cancel each other), food (cancel each other), etc and so on. They don’t care about quality, consistency nor giving proper support.

This raises the question:

What happens if I hadn’t left the character alone (done nothing, logged out, wait an hour, then login) but instead filled his inventory before I logged off? What happens to the stack of items when it can’t reappear in the slot it was originally moved to?

Thank you for the replies.

The stack didn’t re-appear for more than hour while I was online. Then I logged out and back in an hour later – and the stack was back/restored.

I don’t know if it is lag that caused the stack to re-appear, or if it’s support that has restored it.

But I do know, that contacting support, so far, has been a waste of time. How come support is not aware of this? Or, if they are aware of this, why don’t they do their job and inform you about it?

Suggestion to Anet developmet/quality control:

When you move an item from one slot to another, the operation should be atomic. It should not disappear at all.

Suggestion to Anet support:

When people contact you with a problem like this, then please resolve the issue!

Suggestion to moderator Graile (sp?):

When people report bugs like this, please refrain from replying to them ’that they should contast support to get help, deleting their posts, accusing them of lying and giving them an infraction.

Right NOW (a minute before I wrote this – see attached screenshot) I moved a stack of food ‘Slices of candied dragon roll’ from the bank to my character (see screenshot) , and it is now gone, puff. I dragged the stack from the stash to the character’s inventory and it disappears on mouse release (see screenshot). Only I have access to the stash.

This has happened before, and when I contacted anet support, they replied “we don’t know, we can’t help, sorry”. So basically you can’t use your storage without loosing stuff, and anet doesn’t give a *******.

Yes, I am sure I am gonna get banned for posting about these bugs. Fx, last time I posted about this bug, my post got deleted and I got an infraction. I also wrote that support didn’t give a **** about lost items, and wouldn’t help you to contact anet suppoort (as claimed by the anet employee that gave me an infraction for writing it). A lot of his fanboys followed up on my mails, telling me what I wrote didn’t happen the way I described.

The anet employee replied to me, that ‘this has gone far enough, you rant and spread disinformation … your post has been deleted … you are given an infraction’, when I wrote that stuff disappears when you interface with the bank (guild stash) and that transmute doesn’t work and that support doesn’t care nor help nor remedy the situation.

Transmute bug AND gw2support does nothing

If you get a weapon skin from the Eye of the North (hall of monuments), and transmute it with a weapon, then the stats of the weapons are selected for you (when you select the hall of monuments skin). The same thing was true for fractal weapons (but it has since been changed).

A while back I bought the Peasant’s Solution (an exotic level 80 trident with max pow/prec/critdam) to transmute it with a fractal trident skin. When I transmuted, and selected the fractal skin (after dragging the 2 items to the transmute boxes), the stats of the Peasant’s Solution were automatically selected for you. So I selected the Sigil too, and clicked ok.

The result was a trident with (read 1-3 below and/or see the attached screenshot):

1) No stats on the trident
2) No ‘this item is transmuted’ in the description of the item.
3) A sigil on the fractal skin.

If I contact support, they basically say ‘we dont know, we cant help, sry’.

HOW can you have a support that can’t restore LOST items, items that are lost due to bugs?

AND! How can you have a webservice, where you can buy said items for real cash, when the company does not restore items lost due to bugs? That can NOT be legal.

And to the moderator that previously delete the post, AND gave an infraction for writing about bugs like this on the forums: go kitten yourself.

Can we please get this sorted out now, A-net. I think we can all agree that some form of communication from your end as to what you believe the issue is, when it will be resolved and that it is actually being worked on or not is in order. Sitting here having no idea, is simply not acceptable.

I have only encountered this bug once, and it only persisted for an hour.

I have also contacted gw2 support (not regarding the tornmanet bug), and they seem to treat most people this way. They don’t explain anything, they don’t say ‘we will get back to you when the issue is fixed’, or anything. They basically write something like this ‘Sorry to hear about your problem. We are sorry. We haven’t been able to determine what happened and we don’t have the tools remedy the situation. Sorry.’

And occasionally they tell you you are lying.

I find it VERY unacceptable that they force you to reconfigure your computer / run as admin / alter firewall settings / and the like. And very unacceptable that contacting support is just a waste of time.

And they reintroduced the bug where the mesmer trait ‘create clone on dodge’ doesn’t work when transformed. They keep reintroducing old bugs. Strange. So I assume that they don’t (or can’t!) test for known bugs when they create a new release

Anet (support/planning/quality control/owners/whatever) just doesn’t care about their customers/codebase. And if you write it in these forums you get an infraction, and will be accused of ranting.

Bug: Sometimes my guild chat tab turns ‘orange’. If I click it to see what chat has been send, it stays ‘orange’. I mean …. how do you change the color of the tab in the onclick-event? Duh? I have reported this bug since the game was released, once per month. I stopped reporting it (/bug).

I think right clicking someone shouldn’t even target them at all, it should be used as moving the camera only. Very annoying when I move camera and all of a sudden im targeting something completely different.

If I want to target something, I press TAB or left click, none of this right click bullkitten.

Or at least make it possible to bind ‘choose target and attack’ which is currently bound to mouse2 to some other key. But as with everything, key bindings are only ‘half-heartedly’ implemented.

Someone from your Guild withdrew the items in question, thus the reason why they are missing.

I am convinced you are just trolling. But for the rest:

==> Drag stack of crafting materials from a characters inventory to the guild storage. The stack disappears. It is no longer in the inventory nor in the guild storage. Simple. Easy to understand. No one else has access to the storage.

If you, or any of the other trolls in this forum, wants to drag this off subject (see above).

So, subject:

1) Items disappear
2) Support doesn’t care
3) You will not get your items back wether or not you contact support.

And if you post the information on this forum, trolls go on like ‘it didn’t happen’, ‘I need proof’, etc and so on. If you post screenshots, trolls will say they were ‘tampered with’. Or you will say that they weren’t taken when it happened (check the other threads to verify this).

You can go on trolling all you like, I’ve said my piece, and no amount of rambling and theorizing on your part, are going to change the facts.

Losing items in this kind of internet service AND having a support that simply replies ‘sorry but bugger off’, is unacceptable.

Personally I have seen Gaile as the support liason for many years and before that as the community manager. As a player I have rarely seen that she is wrongand much more often she gives use players the benefit of the doubt.

I have heard some! (but not many!) claims of magically dissapearing items but so far nobody could ever prove it. What garantee can you give that you are right and Anet is wrong??

Last of all, why is ‘bugger off’ unacceptable?? if you disagree with the company’s policy in this matter that is actually the only thing to do. Nobody is forcing you to play this game

You most likely deleted the items or salvaged them accidentally. That’s the most common reasons why you can’t find them. Anet doesn’t undo player mistakes.

You are wrong, they weren’t accidentally salvaged, destroyed, etc. Or you are trolling.

I have described in detail what happened, your disbelief, is shared by me, which is why I post here, to share my experience with items disappearing AND how the gw2 support handles the incidents.

How can someone implement a game, where you transfer a stack of items from your inventory to your guild stash, end then the stack is just gone. puff.

Or implement a transmute method, that doesn’t work.

WvW chests Once per account?

This was kind of timely. I know someone who has 8 level 80 characters (and that was a few months ago) who ports himself religiously daily up to the chest (with a friend helping). That’s like more than 100 badges a day just getting ported up for him (log in, run to portal, run to chest, repeat).

Those people didn’t magically acquire 8 level 80’ies. Most of them spend a hell of a long time leveling their 8 toons (1 of each class), and mapping waypoints in pve, etc and so on. So they didn’t just ‘portal’ up to EB JP with several toons – they invested a lot of work to do it (at least I did).

Although I know some people paid to craft to level 80 (but I do think that is a stupid game mechanic to be able to craft yourself from level 1 to 80).

It’s always nice fighting Riverside and Gandara, but I really dislike the number of cheaters on these 2 servers. I see many enemy players in wvw fly, teleport out of water, non-thieves stealth for 20 secs+, etc I hope that the some of the lawful players on both Riverside and Gandara will report the cheaters in their guilds.

That said, thank you for the good fights we’ve had this week.

Ps. I have omitted player-identifiers and guild-tags. Is it allowed to post the guild tags, and player identifers of the cheaters?

Current System hampers World Completion

Most people saying that ‘legendaries’ requires ‘world completion’ should know, that mayny players buy their legendaries from the Trading Post. They earn the most of their money by trading, and not by pvp, nor by wvw, and not by pve’ing.

So saying that map completion is ‘required’ to get a legendary, is not entirely true.

The nerf to the confusion is just ridicolous. When people claim to have 15-21+ stacks of confusion on an enemy, they fail to mention, that these stacks are not applied at the same time. So the 15-21 stacks will only be on the enemy for VERY short time. When you are running a confusion build, as someone already pointed out, the effective no of stacks are usually around 6-8, and those stacks last for a ridiculously short time.

Then we have the (haha) ‘buf’ to mantra casting time. The mantra mesmer is still a joke. You can use it as a healer in a big zerg, but that’s it. No loot bags for the mesmer doing the healing.

If you want some loot bags, what’s left is the power/prec/crit shatter mesmer. All other builds are inferior to this build, when it comes to getting the enemy down.

I still play other builds, but only when I do solo random spvp, to have some fun/challenge.

It’s way over the top for WvW. It makes these builds as effective as they are in sPvP (which is not effective).

Bad change is bad. Revert the nerf!

What about the players above who say their enemies still die mightly fine?
(WvW is not like sPvP, the 1v1 potential is close to meaningless)

Rune of the centaur:

Bug:
When using the ‘mantra of recovery’ (as a mesmer) the ‘swiftness’ the mesmer should gain from the ‘Superior rune of the centaur’ is not always applied.

Context:
The cooldown for the rune is stated as being 10 secs. The swiftness duration for the character I am testing it on is 14 seconds (+40% swiftness). The character I am testing it on waits 14 seconds before he activates the healing skill again (skill 6).

The first time the mesmer activates the mantra (charges it), swiftness is applied (which is inconsistent with other ‘on activate healing’ traits). When the mesmer activates the derived effect of the mantra ‘Power Return’ the swiftness is sometimes applied, and sometimes it isn’t.


Creating clones with ‘Mirror Image’ or ‘Decoy’.

Bug:
When you create the clone(s) you are sometimes moved a little bit from your current position. Sometimes it moves you inside a wall/rock/floor.

The scepter skill 1, does not apply confusion every 3rd attack, as stated.

Some bugs I have encountered, that are still not fixed after the update of the 28th of January 2013 was applied.

Suppose the Mesmer has these 2 traits:

Trait: Illusionary Persona: Shattering illusions creates the shatter effect on you as well.

Trait: Confusing Cry: Cry of Frustration grants retaliation for 5 seconds for each illusion shattered.

If you activate ‘Cry of Frustration’ without having any clones up, you don’t get any retaliation. But aren’t you supposed to get retaliation when you create the shatter effect on yourself ?

There are also some other traits that grant ‘extra effects on shatter’ that don’t work with Illusionary Persona.

The duration of time warp sometimes lasts only 5 seconds. Possibly due to overlapping timewarps AND bad programming.

If I am using my Mesmer with Greatsword and try to hit someone on a castle wall, I can’t hit them (obstructed from ANY postion within range). But if I use my Engineer with rifle I can hit them from some positions. Howcome?

Stuck events (please remove the events until they are fixed OR give free access to what they lead to (fx a vista in Diessa Plateau) (fx event chain in Bloodtide Coast at Skull Island that keeps repeating the first event – it doesn’t progress to the 2nd even in the event chain))?

The vista cant be viewed/completed. There is no event, and the event does not re-occur. I have tried to complete this event on several characters – but it is not possible to complete it.

Could you stop all other activities, and fix the blocking bugs in this game? I see you have spend time on preventing people from teleporting in the EB puzzle, which doesnt block progress and isn’t an exploit. How can you spend time on stuff like that when you have bugs like this?

You have changed content in dungeons, changed how members revive, introduced new stuff/maps/events on several occasions. But you do not fix simple bugs that have been present since the release – bugs that prevents players from doing simple map completion in pve. Arah P3 - final boss resets mid fight

We are fighting the final boss in arah path 3.

The boss is fighting a player at the position the boss stood when we started fighting. The player is alive. Then the boss resets.

We try it again, and the same thing happens.

I am getting VERY tired of the bugs in this game. The amount of bugs and the severity of the bugs are UNACCEPTABLE.

This also happens with many other ‘bosses’ in gw2 and it SHOULD NOT HAPPEN in an rpg. The monster should not reset at all.

OFF TOPIC:

Enemies do not display in wvw. Sometimes enemies and buildings dont display in pve. Sometimes the skill you press does not activate (and you are not even in combat), sometimes an instant skill activates with 5 second delay, sometimes you get hit by an invisible player that doesn’t become visible WHILE hitting you, skill descriptions and actual skill effects are not the same, some traits don’t work AT ALL, combo finishers don’t work reliably, the field of vision is a bug by itself, the mouse sensitivity changes all the time even though I have pointer acceleration turned off.

On top of that we have the imbalance between classes in pvp/wvw. We have traits that makes no sense for the profession. Fx the thief can keep you perma dazed with sword/dagger and no traits, but the mesmer that has a lot of traits with regards to daze (and should be the main daze class) can’t even keep you dazed more than once or twice every 20th second; and the racial asuran daze skill (that should be inferior to class specific skills) casts faster AND lasts longer than the mesmer dazes.

I could go on and on and on. It is not acceptable for a game that is not in beta, to have these kind of issues.

/block not working in guild chat

Could you please make it possible to block ALL chat from a player in your guild chat?

If we have a big guild, with 100+ users, then there will always be someone that just talks useless trash all the time, which makes the information you want to see in the guild chat scroll out of view.

Frankly, I am amazed that ANY chat/emotes from a blocked (/block) player is displayed on your screen.

Light combo field + leap finisher

Tested with the mesmer character with these two skills:

1) Combo field – Temporal Curtain

2) Leap finisher – Phase Retreat

If you stand ‘on’ the combo field ‘temporal curtain’ and execute the leap, then you get the combo effect (retaliation).

But if you leap through the field, with the phaze retreat teleport skill, then you do not get the effect.

Is this intended? Or is it a bug.

Glyph of Elemantal Harmony - no regen

Regeneration seems to stack duration. My elementalist has a trait ‘Cantrips gives you regeneration’. When he executes a cantrip, he gains regeneration. The trait is called ‘Soothing Disruption’ (water magic: III). If the elementalist executes two cantrips, the duration of the regeneration stacks.

== bug
If the elementalist executes a cantrip, and then executes his healing skill ‘glyph of elemental harmony’ then the regeneration from the ‘glyph’ is not added to the regeneration duration. So, if my elementalist has 3 seconds of regeneration left, and then presses his healing skill, he still has less than 3 seconds of regeneration left. If the glyph provides fx 10 secs of regeneration, then he should AT THE VERY LEAST, get 10 secs of regeneration when he has used the skill. This is a bug imo.

PS. NOT THREAD RELATED: If a thief has the ‘gain swiftness on dodge’ trait, and if he runs through a mesmer wall that gives swiftness, he doesn’t get swiftness from the wall if he just dodged. So the trait is actually a penalty, when running in groups that use swiftness. Often the thief has just dodged, and hence, wont get the swiftness from the wall. I don’t think swiftness should stack duration, but it should AT LEAST give the highest swiftness duration of the wall vs. what you already have got.

I login after having downloaded the new patch 2013-01-28 at approximately 22:00 GMT.

I complete the 2 last hearts on a map with one of my characters, and get disconnected (Bla bla … disconnected … please try again in a few minutes).

When I reconenct, the 2 hearts are not completed!?!?!?

I now got disconnected again (upon completing the map) when I tried to waypoint to Lions Arch. It will be interesting to see if the map is … still completed.

I forgot to mention:

9) Please show the mouse cursor when I keep RMB pressed. Why remove the ‘aim cursor’ when I pan the camera? Don’t you think my character needs to fire it’s bow/rifle/whatever when I pan the camera?

10) Make it possible to disable ‘targetting/untargeting’ when you click the RMB. I dont want to accidentally change targets when I pan the camera.

11) Make it possible to ALWAYS pan the camera WITHOUT pressing the RMB. Make it possible to toggle the RMB-pressed for moving the cursor around/panning the camera. This way you dont have to keep a button pressed most of the time.

12) Make it possible to target with ground targeting skills, like you do with normal skills.

13) And ‘for christ sake’ make the mouse cursor more visible. XOR it’s colors with the background colors, or something. Make an option to make it bigger/change it’s color/change it’s shape.

I agree with the OP – all points.

Fx I bug reported the FOV progblems several times, ingame, during the first month. This is extremely annoying.

I’d also like to add:

1) Try standing outside a keep/tower in wvw and look up. All you can see is your characters back. And if a lot of other players are near you, you cant see anything at all (asura).

2) When standing still in a narrow passage, and while not moving your camera nor your character, the camera zooms in and out like crazy. Stop it.

3) When you are dead, the camera keeps rotating after I have positioned it. There is a reason I positioned the camera -> to look at the spot I am looking at.

4) Anet writes that they want to keep the art pretty for their ‘fans’. I am a fan, and I don’t give a crap about the art. How difficult can it be to make a fov slider in the options menu. Keep the fov at 75, but please make it possible for other poeple to zoom out. Fov 110 at least – both the vertical and horizontal.

5) Please add first-person-view.

6) If you don’t implement first poersion view, can you please position the camera in front of the character, instead of behind the character

7) Please make it possible to ‘lock’ you zoom setting. So it becomes impossible to zoom in and out by accident.

8) Make it possible to remove the zoom-in/out from the mousewheel.

I think that Anet has problems coordinating their departments, coordinating development and bug-fixes, and the flexibility/smartness of how they designed the game engine. I may be wrong, but I think the main reason bug fixes takes this long, is because the code-base is very badly designed – the reasons for this can be several.

The first attack after changing targets often misses (aims at the old target OR if no target was selected it aims at … nothing). This applies to all classes, not just the engineer.

I consider this a bug too.

Spawning dead is a bug imo. I hope it’s ok to create a 2nd thread about this, since I know this does happen for characters that has not been in WvW.

1) Characer entering the game
One way it can happen, is that you get killed while your character is loading/entering the world. This has happened to me on several occasions in cursed shore. When I logged out I was standing in a village that was not under attack, alive and NOT in combat. I guess that when I login and select the character, the game let’s the npc’s hit my character while my character is still on the loading screen.

2) Character leaving the game / Swapping characters
This may also happen when you logout or swap characters. When you press ‘logout’ or ‘select character’ the game sometimes lags, so even though you were not in combat when you clicked the button, you may enter combat while the game ‘unloads’ your character.

3) Who knows what is happening
This also happened to my mule, who was NEVER in any combat. He was standing by the bank in the city, and when I logged in, he was dead.

Item popup bug (on mouse hoover)

I logged in (Lions Arch), pressed the trading post ‘O’, and listed the items I have for sale. When I hoover the mouse over an item, there is an error in the description of the item. See the screenshot.

This occurs for both the weapon and armor I have for sale, but not for the food.

Invisible models in WvW (suggestions)

While there are some good suggestions there you only address model loading. Which is not the issue at all.

I know my post was about invisible enemies, but many players (including me) have problems with ‘frames per second’ (FPS) dropping to 1-4 frames per second, when a huge zerg is near. And sometimes even less than one FPS. I think all the suggestions would help players, with FPS issues.

I think the time has come to do something about the problem with invisible enemy players in WvW in Guild Wars 2.


The problems:

1) Enemy players and npc’s do not display on your screen.
2) Friendly players and npc’s do not display on your screen
3) The time it takes for enemies or friendlies to display can be up to several minutes!

The Anet Explanations:

1) It takes a long time to load player models and stuff.
2) There may be a bug in our game engine.
3) It is due to bandwidth issues
4) It is due to the distance of the enemies (which is simply not true, they can stand right next to you and not render)

Player suggestions:

1) Make it possible to modify the number of displayed players/models (fx automatically or via options)
2) Make it possible to increase the view distance (fx automatically or via options).

I have created this thread, because I have been unable to find any thread that handles this in a serious and constructive fashion. I haven’t read all the posts in all the threads, but the explanations from Anet and the suggestions from players seem inadequate to me. I appologice in advance, if I have missed a thread/post where the suggestions I mention here are already mentioned.

Here are some suggestions, that may remedy the issues with invisible players/npcs.

0) Make the client determine what it wants to display
Let the players that want to see fancy graphics use the current models/sprites/animations/skins/haircuts/facial features/area of effect stuff/etc use it; and let the players that want to see enemies and friendlies be able to lower the graphic detail a LOT.

1) Let the client decide which models to display
Make it possible, via options, to let the client choose what he wants to see. People like me want to see the enemy models immediately. We do not need to see snow, clouds, sun, nor a fancy sky or the grass swaying in the wind. We do not need to see animations for 100+ different area of effect attacks/heals/misc effects. All we need is to see our friendly models and the enemy models, and very very simple animations for shots/beams/aoes/atl. All the suggestions below, should be adjustable via the options or via a configuration file.

2) Let the client decide if it wants to use fixed/forced models and skins.
Anet has mentioned that it may take a long time to load models, textures and the like from your hard drive. In games where frames per second really matter, and where you don’t want too much disc-I/O while you play, you have the option to ‘force enemey models’ and ‘force team models’. Implement it, and make it available via a pvp/wvw option-tab. Make it possible to turn ALL enemy players into a the SAME model with the SAME clothes and the SAME facial features and the SAME haircut and the SAME … etc. This will make it possible to store ALL enemy models in memory, before you enter wvw.

3) Let the client decide how detailed the game should be. Use fewer polygons/animations.
Implement models that uses fewer polygons than the currently used models. Make it possible to limit the number of polygons used A LOT. And fx make it possible to limit the amount of animation used when a character walks/runs.

4) Let the client display fewer environmental graphics (animations, backgrounds, etc)
We do not need to see the sky, the clouds, the sun, the snow, the wind in the grass, nor fancy movement when a player moves.

5) Let the client choose which projectile, beam, area of effect animations/sprites to use
Make it possible to only see one kind of projectile, one kind of beam, one kind of aoe. You could fx make it possible to only display the red rings for enemy aoes and white rings for friendly aoes.

6) If the invisibility issue isn’t solved, then display something else instead of the friendlies/enemies.
If it is impossible to display all enemies/friendlies then display something else on the map, that represents ‘a lot of enemies’ or ‘a lot of friendlies’ or ‘a few enemies’ or ‘a few friendlies’.

Update 2012-12-15 - Game freezes

WRT to the update the 15th of December 2012.

The first bug that I have experienced, that didn’t occur prior to the update, is that the game sometimes freezes.

You can not exit the game, you have to kill it via the Task Manager.

So far I have only experienced this in the wintersday jumping puzzle. Has anyone experienced similar freezes (that didn’t occur on your workstation prior to the update) elsewhere ?
