So it seems the new event has broken the camera.
Can’t get it at the right zoom like before.. it goes out too far!
Crap rewards?
Exotics are falling off of trees.
I made 23g instantly.
I’m sorry what?
Soloing the mad-king for 10 minutes… then I get booted out!
I agree!!!
Pretty sure that’ll be the event on halloween day.
Why does it have to crash?!
Was bugged on Aurora Glade too.
@Echo
Some of us aren’t on Desolation.
To anyone that has never seen a bot: Go to Yak’s Bend, Frostgorge Sound. Walk south.
You’ll see hundreds of bots.
Please increase the visibility of GMs in the game.
All the bots I have reported are still there for weeks. It feels like nothing is being done, and we never see an ArenaNet employee in-game.
And it is also disheartening to see players that have been reported many times by many people for verbal abuse, are still running free and causing hassle.
Please take these things more seriously.

Oh sorry wrong section. This was meant for the engineer forums.
Right I’ve been playing rifle engie for a while now, and as a player that manually triggers the rifle auto-attack (with the side button of my mouse) it’s really really annoying to then push the button for Blunderbuss and find that it doesn’t come out.
Instead the last queued hip-shot comes out before blunderbuss finally gets a go… at which point I’ve missed the timing for the shot.
Please make blunderbuss interrupt hip-shot, so any queued hip-shots are cancelled out. It really is game-changing to have to wait several seconds before the command you ordered is executed. It can be the matter of killing your opponent and not killing your opponent, especially when blunderbuss is so timing based (to make sure you hit within the 100 metre range and facing the enemy so you don’t miss).
Similarly, Jump Shot should also interrupt Hip-Shot. In fact, ALL skills should interrupt Hip-Shot… but right now they don’t (what gives?). Why would anyone want their auto-attack to go first before the skill button they pressed.
Of course yes there is some player skill involved in timing your auto-attack to ensure you don’t over-queue one. But really it would feel much nicer if blunderbuss came out right when you pushed the button.
Everybody does run at the same speed, I was just using an Ele in this event, I saw no speed difference.
It’s a trait you pick. When attuned to air you gain 5% speed after a certain period then stacking up to 25% speed boost.
The elementalist I was chasing was air-attuned and ran considerably faster than any other villager.
Simply put: It’s not fun or fair to chase an air elementalist because of their 25% passive speed boost trait.
They are very difficult and annoying to chase down!
Clearly every villager should run at the same speed, regardless of traits. Or it means air elementalist villagers have the advantage compared to everyone else.
Erm.
It’s been said multiple times, in the patch notes and by the devs:
Costume brawl is a PERMANENT addition to the game.
Stop all this talk of it being temporary.
AnetHalloween costumes will be unavailable to purchase once Halloween is over, but the brawl will continue to work and the fun will go on with existing costumes and tonics.
The Cook Costume auto-attack is a 3 second stun with a 2 second cooldown.
So you can perma-stun anyone. Pretty much S-Tier on 1v1.
It also has a fear ability and a cripple. PLUS the roast pig she can spawn will regenerate your Hit Points.
It’s just like what happened to Ruins of Surmia now.
And since I left Ruins of Surmia a few weeks after launch, it’s still bottom of the leader board.
So this stuff about abandoned servers climbing back up the ranks just isn’t true.
Also like someone said before, even if you stay, the PvE has become massively stale. I questions whether any of the players I see are real… or bots. If you walk around Frostgorge Sound, Cursed Shore, etc., everywhere you go is a massive bot train.
Where’d the real people go? I don’t want to play on a server where I’m the only real person and everyone else is a bot.
Aurora Glade WvW is dead.
No, I’ve downed numerous people before and they vanish into thin air. Not thieves or mesmers either.
I’m not sure what -exactly- they’re doing, maybe alt-F4 heh. It’s just a lame tactic to avoid a death.
You don’t avoid death.
When you log back in your character is dead in Lion’s Arch.
All it does is prevent the enemy getting the kill.
I literally made a thread about this an hour ago:
So, half way into ‘Act 1’ the price for candy corn has dropped from 40c a piece to 10c.
Will it ever rise again?
Post-event will there ever really be a demand for the corn?
I mean its uses are limited… and the majority of people that want either the sigil or rune, or the food, will probably have made some already. When the event ends people might start to not care for the halloween stuff anymore… and the permanent skins too.
Plus I’d imagine a lot of people are holding onto huge amounts of candy corn + other halloween matts. All of it will be dumped post event and the supply will spike to the ceiling…
… but who is going to buy the thousands and thousands of halloween matts post-event. Not many I think. With this amount of farming I seriously doubt those matts will be used enough for the price to go back up. And if the price does go up, will it even sell?
They’re soul bound even though they’re meant to be account bound!
Made them on my mule char and now I can’t open them with my main… but the text says “account” not “soul” bound.
And apparently Anet tested this thing before release?!
By the way, it’s cheaper to just buy loads of the 4hr weapon than to buy the permanent itself.
You only need 730 of them to last until next halloween (presuming you play on average 8 hours a day). That’s only 43g80s for an entire years worth of the weapon.
Compare that to the cost of 300g+ for the perma skins.
And by the way the timer doesn’t go down unless it’s in your inventory afaik.
Yes
What about the 7 other professions in the game.
What do we get.
You’re gonna need the book for the next Act… that’s pretty much guaranteed.
I mean the quest giver tells you so in the letter you get…
And the book itself says “It seems to be unfinished”.
Maybe not this cat…
But we definitely need a cat mini-pet… some of us don’t have HoM!
Whenever you get on the broom it happens!
But Act 1 is for 4 days; the most days of any of the events.
So it should have the most things to do… but it doesn’t!
All there is to do is: Farm Candycorn, Farm Haunted Doors, Get the book, carve pumpkins…
That’s it.
Level 80s, Haunted Door Campings, Lower-level farming, and problems with level scaling
Posted by: spacemayu.4817
Perhaps scaling the doors to map level. If you are too high you get the message: These are not the doors you are looking for. waves hand
Might be more something for the future. It’s tops another week if the coming acts don’t drive the masses somewhere else.
Except the doors are only in three zones.
I think it’s pretty clear that the OP wants to farm the doors too… or why else would he hang around the farming locations?
Well, no need to be rude. And the bag comparison doesn’t work because it’s not the same kind of item. I guess I’m spoiled by City of Heroes where a global unlock is truly global – I have it on all of my characters without the need to ferry it back and forth. For this particular item, there isn’t any reason why that couldn’t be the case, rather than have Sisterhood of the Traveling Witch Costume which fits my Norn, my Charr, and my Asura just the same.
I think you’re thinking about it in the wrong way.
The Witch’s Costume is not an unlock. It is an item; just like a sword or a shield.
So I finished the quest and got the book…
But the ghosts still give you cats?
Is it for making an identical book, or do you get something else
Anyone notice this?
Sounds hella weird now!
@spacemayu
You really expect us to believe that you made 120 gold in 5 days just by playing 2 to 4 hours a day in cursed shore? how stupid do you think we are?
Unless you had rare dropping like candies which is impossible please don’t BS us.
Bull.****. Don’t know why people think it’s cool to come in here straight lying. So you’re making 20-25 gold a day while playing for only 2-4 hours? Who do you think you’re fooling?
Calm down.
I meant I got my chest-piece (30g), not the full-set
Yeah, it will take much longer to get the fullset
I got mine in only 5 days of Cursed Shore farming (2 – 4 hours a day).
When gold is that easy to make, it’s not that bad. I’d still even say 100g for it would be acceptable.
And I thought I’d be one of few to actually have it. But it seems every human girl on my server is wearing it in Cursed Shore
(edited by spacemayu.4817)
SO KILL THEM is it that hard. Get some ppl together and stop kittening about them for once in MMORPG YOU can do something about it.
Also keep a list of the guilds that they are in and the guilds that help them becuse they are the trash of there world and need to be removed.
Also report though who help as gold sells because helping them farm is just as bad as being one.that isn’t the point at all. please read the actual starting post before you respond.
the problem is these bots are taking up slots in wvw maps. if there is a queue, an dyou have 8-10 bots in that bl – this is a problem.
I understand that and i put a lot of work into killing them only to have ppl on that team come and kill me. Its all very annoying but i must say its funny getting chased by well over 10 bear at once.
I was killing some bots. Then one of the guys inside the bot bubble came out and started chasing us down. My team killed him four times before he gave up. Then we killed all the bots.
By the way his name is “Mr Miyamoto” with the handle Mithos.6192. He has been there with the bots for many days.
The way I see it is that the enemy dodges my backstab, I miss because of it, but then I get to try and backstab again.
There’s no break of stealth if he successfully evades my backstab. I only break stealth after 4 second or if I successfully hit him.
So the enemy did successfully dodge, but I still get to have a few more goes.
I did. 1 class killing a doly=stupid. no dolly should ever be taken out by 1 person. Theives(rouges) are out of control (everyone already knows this that is why every 2nd toon is one)
So a dolyak which can’t fight for itself should need an entire zerg to kill it?
I guess you want sentries to need zergs too.
Here is some information on how each objective scales in terms of reward and required number of players.
First for reward, in order of lowest first:
Dolyak, Sentry, Supply, Tower, Keep, Stonemist
And for how many players you actually need to beat it, lowest number first:
Dolyak, Sentry, Supply, Tower, Keep, Stonemist
Oh wait it’s identical! That’s because the harder the objective the greater the reward, but also the more players needed to beat it!
But how many players do you actually need for each (given that there are no enemy players)?
Dolyak: 1, lowest reward
Sentry: 1/2, lowest reward.
Supply: 2 – 5, medium reward.
Tower: 5 – 10, medium reward.
etc.
Only problem with this is that you can actually solo supply camps.
I just don’t see server transfers as a problem. Maybe it’s too short a relative time (1 day transfer with a 1 week match).
But ultimately the zerg of PUGs wants to transfer to the winning side (where there are smart commanders who know what they’re doing) and the organized guilds want to transfer to the losing sides (there’s lots of stuff to take, shorter queues to get everyone in, etc.) This isn’t just GW2, basically every faction vs. faction PvP game has players wanting to move in opposite directions.
Sure that sounds good theoretically.
So why is it that my server, Aurora Glade, which used to have very long queues during primetime, now has no queues at all!
And why is it that my server, Aurora Glade, which used to put up a fight, now cowers in the corner beaten!
And why is it that we used to have smart commanders, but now have no commanders at all!
There is only one direction of movement here.
Everyone is leaving, and no one is coming!
Yes you can stay perma-stealthed without any debuff.
If you do not attack for the duration of stealth, you get no debuff. This means you can instantly restealth, indefinitely.
There is no debuff if you do not attack.
Other games use gradual loading – you see ‘outline/ghostly figure’ then rest of the model works. It also works on per-player basis.
GW2 appears to load everything at once. This results in invisible zergs. This gives insurmountable advantage to attackers. This in turn promotes formation of roaming invisible zergs.
O nice.
Even if the enemy were just placeholder sprites, at least we would be able to see them.
It got censored a looooooooooooooooooong time ago.
And rightly so. A hand groping an exposed breast poking out of a cut-out hole in her armour?
Pretty tasteless.
@Taika
o.O
Do you think we like to have bots in our team? Bots takes our players places, we stay in queue, this is not good for us. Please report all bots you see and if you want kill them all. “Free exp”.
We have three orbs because we have fight for this orbs, and if someone takes 3 castles in 15 Minutes because he use a bug… is not a fight, it is a cheat. If you want fair fights 1vs1 please go in sPvP… in WvW wins the biggest and the best team. You need tactic, cordination, skill and good people.@skly
respect for your comment.
When we were farming your bots last night from 5am to 8am, some of them started moving like real players and chasing us.
It was then clear to us that your bots were then being controlled by real players. Maybe they had an agreement to group up and run the same bot script during the night. This so that they can make extra pop whilst sleeping.
I have only seen these bots during the night, so I don’t think it is right to complain they are using up spots in the queue.
Aurora Glade is now dead in terms of WvW. All the good commanders have left, and so have the strong WvW guilds. I think this server will drop to the bottom amongst Fissure of Woe and Ruins of Surmia.
(edited by spacemayu.4817)
Are there even any GMs?
I’ve never seen one!
In other MMO I have regularly seen GMs.
Players that play the market increase the number of sales.
This increases the amount of gold sunk by the system.
If this “flipping” is prevented and the trade fee lowered, gold would inflate at a much faster rate.
Someone considered increasing the trading fee, and other fees, so that more gold is removed from the system. This could be done to reduce inflation!
I hooooooope they change things.
But at the moment it seems like a lot of talk and no results!
I fear GW2 will die long before we see any new content to bring back the players.
Tell us how please so we can get our treasure.
