I find mesmer definitely funnier than necro in every aspect of the game.
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
Wow, you played a lot!
At your point, if you don’t like sPvP (which is more than understandable at current state) I’d suggest you to take a break from the game and wait for major updates or expansions.
Thank god GW2 is not a P2P, and doesn’t have a big gear treadmill, so there is nothing wrong to stop playing for a couple of months and come back to see how the game grew.
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
Choose the guardian.
Funniest class to play IMHO followed by mesmer.

I’m totally with you. As a guild leader, I need to know last time a guildie was online.
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
Dear Arenanet,
As a guild leader, I’m really upset by the fact that a simple feature as showing Guild Message in the chat panel when a guildie logs in game isn’t implemented, this feature was present in GW1 and was extremely useful.
As it is now, people just don’t open the guild panel to see if the message has changed since last time and we (me + officiers) are forced to spam important notifications in the guild chat to be sure that everyone got the message.
This is a very essential fetaure to help guild management and I really can’t understand why you chose to exclude it in the initial release and still now we didn’t get any official statement from you.
Please Arenanet, tell us something, either that you introduce or not the feature, but don’t ignore us.
Oh, another very useful missing feature: Let us EDIT the guild message, dont force us to rewrite it all the times if we want to change a letter.
Thank you very much and keep up the good work!
P.S.
Sorry for bad English.

fragnot the only suggestion I can give you is to open your achievement panel e look for something to do, when I’m bored with farming and WvW I just go for fun achievements like jumping puzzles, bosses or secret areas.
Otherwise, take a break from the game :-)

Hi, just wanted to share the build I created on paper (never tried it) for my necro, it’s a heavy condition damage build but also a support build as I drain conditions from my allies and it’s fully designed for PvE-Dungeon, so please, avoid PvP comments.
Why did I post this and not tried by myself? Basically because I can’t choose between Prec, Power, Cond Dmg and Carrion (Cond Dmg, Power, Vit) equipment and I’d like to not waste money/tokens for the wrong armor set.
The first set probably gives me the highest dps as it raises precision (primary stat) and make me put more bleeding with Barbed Precision while the second one has the big plus to have condition damage as primary stat and gives me some vitality, which I need if I want to bring Plague Signet.
So, basically the questions are:
1) How is the build in general?
2) Is Plague Signet a viable skill to take with me to support allies? If yes, is it viable even with no vitality armor?
3) Which armor set would you buy for a build similar to this?
Feel free to give any advice as long as they are constructive.

From lv 30-40 the fastest way IMO is to go in WvW.
Pick 3-4 friends with you (or pug) and farm supply camps, power nodes, veterans etc.
you can easly get about 1 lvl in 30-40 min and it’s infinitely repeatable.
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
Same here, any clarification from a dev would be really appreciated!
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
About 1 month ago I was seeing bots in almost every map in the world, as well as in WvW, now it’s been a while since last time I saw one, so ANET did a really good job!

Nice suggestions in general but…
-MotD- “Edit” erases everything, it needs to do exactly what it says, Edit the message. Also Guild setting turning on/off if the message displays when a Character logs on/off
-Last seen on- I have members in my Guild that I have no idea if they have even logged on since the launch of the game.
YES PLEASE, ADD THEM!
These features are very crucial for a leader/officier and were present in GW1, I just didn’t get why they removed them in GW2.
Also, they’re easy and cheap feature for you to implement but the gain in term of organisation for a guild would be huge.
Again guys, please, introduce them!
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
NO.
I’m not excited, I’M WORRIED.
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
So, is that the result of all the whining people complaining about no endgame?
Nice done! For the first time, I’m worried that GW2 will become another WoW-clone.
I really hope this is a huge joke and Guild Wars philosophy stays as it.
Please Arenanet, listen to the community. We are asking to NOT introduce any sort of gear treadmill. Please, don’t disappoint us.

The GS is mandatory because it’s very useful to aggro all the mobs in one point and let the team make a big AoE.
As second weapon I use the staff because of skill #3,#4 and #5. (#4 is sooooo underrated)
The utilities are constantly changing based on which part of the dungeon you are clearing, but I put in the build the ones that I use the most.
With that build you can make a decent damage while still having high survivability and supporting team.
edit:
I forgot to say that I use full set of AC armor (++power, +toughness, + vitality)

Sorry if it has been asked before, but I didn’t get how the “Subscribe” feature should work. I expected that subscribing to a thread implies that you were sent an e-mail whenever a new response has posted, but it simply doesn’t happen.
Is it a bug? Did I completely misunderstand the functionality? If yes, is there a way to enable instant topic reply notification?
Thank you.

If you want Super Elixir for removing conditions, 10 points into Tools is necessary. Kit Refinement makes you cast a spell each time you put on a kit. In Elixirguns case, it creates a Super Elixir at your current location. it’s on a similar cooldown as Super Elixir itself, so 15 or 20 seconds for it to auto cast itself.
You can easily make a decent Healing Power + Condition damage build, but it’s not incredibly needed in most dungeons but it’s beneficial.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQFAElspqbHvShdkYMjP3ZwH0roHPGyUG
(copy and paste it if it says bad link)Is probably what you should aim for. You’re going to have to ignore criticals and aim for Condition damage and Healing power gear. Your overall damage is going to take a huge hit doing something like this, but you’re basically pure support.
An alternative to this would be an all Kit build, similar to what I use.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQFAUl0pyaX3SiF17IyYGfWnB+ge95Bb1WQIA;ToAg0CqUVpoiaKzUipsT5mSOF
(again, copy and paste it)I do heavy damage and support my teammates by removing conditions with Super Elixir and Fumigate.
My build is incredibly glass cannon oriented, but it has multiple blinds, jump aways, knockbacks, etc. It’s completely centered around kiting and avoiding damage. I’m still fine tuning it but it’s overall complete.
I like the second build that you linked, but I dont’t get why did you pick flamethrower in your bar, when do you use it?
To make damage it seems that granades kit is the best while elixir gun is excellent to support.
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
Hey, thanks for your tips!
I’d use that build purely for dungeons, not PvP (or WvW) and I plan to remove condition using Super Elixir (#5 on elixir gun) and firing projectiles through it.
The support for the team should be mainly done by spamming weakness (quickness + weakness spam FTW), dropping medikit and elite skill.
I took away 30 in Tool Belt and put 30 in Alchemy, losing 10% crit chance while standing still, but increasing elixir duration, reducing their cd and being immune to condition while under 25% health.
How is it now?
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
Hey, I’m levelling an engineer (still lv 27) but I’m already thinking of what build I should bring for dungeon once I’m lv 80.
Here is the build I created.
http://en.gw2codex.com/build/20646-the-condition-spammer-elx-gun-critic
The build should be focused on spamming condition to enemies and support the team while dealing a pretty decent DPS.
Fell free to give it a look and comment with criticism and suggestions!

guild wars temple is a good site to keep track of dragon spawns, thanks for llinking it.
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
Hi all,
I really enjoy big fights against dragons and I’d like to do them whenever I can, however I think that at the current state of the game, it’s just a waste of money and totally not worth it, here is why.
As you may know, currently there’s no way to know if a dragon has spawned in any point of the map, so you are forced to travel from a WP to another and check all possible place where the dragons spawn. If you are lv80, this costs a considerable amount of silver, and there is a large chance to not encounter any boss and just waste your money. This make me really upset, at the point that I didn’t partecipate in a boss fights since 2-3 weeks, even if I really like them.
What’s your position about dragon fights? Do you do them regularly? If yes, how do keep track of spawn time? Do you think they are a waste of money?
Feel free to share your thoughts and sorry for bad english.

For the record… Razer gaming keypad the N52te or whatever (featured in the above poster’s picture) isn’t completely compatible with Windows 7 yet. Do some research before blindly investing in Razer devices because the only kind of feedback the community got was that updated drivers should arrive sometime in November this year – and that was back in June.
I use the gamepad with W7 x64 and got 0 problems.
If you’d really enjoy it – I can link the 3-7 different forums I went to when this device failed to work for me showing everyone else can’t get it to work consistently. One of the solutions Razer gave out was to unplug the device before starting up the computer so it actively recognizes it each time you boot up since it is such a pathetic periphial.
Also, are you sure the one you have is the Razer one? Because Belkin originally made the periphial (I know cuz the Belkin one my dad has works on W7) before Razer bought it up and screwed it over….
It’s razer, sure at 100%. ;-)

i feel like more encounters should be as hard as giganticus. it seemed like after we killed him its a down hill fight to finish the instance. and honestly arah was my first explorable and the others dont feel close to as epic.
i did arah the 2nd week before almost anyone was lvl 80, or knew how to do the fight. i was in a mix of greens/yellows and gear wasnt even close to any of our issues, it largely came down to our group having to spec into aoe regen/ condition removal. (it did take us 7 hours though
)
giganticus is by massive distance my favorite fight in the game, and i wish anet uses this encounter (prenerf) as where to set the difficulty bar.
on topic: its to hard with little reward for most people. for the amount of time/money you invest into it, you are getting very little money (in most cases spending more then you could ever make in there) so most people dont bother. also lets be honest, not everyone can do the harder fights… although i havnt seen post nerf giganticus
Giganticus is a really though fight. In the first stage we balled and killed grubs very fast as the boss does nothing but spawning locusts and grubs to enpower himself, the second stage is the most difficult imho as the boss does really much AoE damage and the final stage is obviously not as easy as the first but it’s still doable and easier than the second.
Overall, an absolutely epic boss fight (way more epic than the final boss).
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
I did Arah explorable for the first time yesterday.
IMHO, it’s at the same time the most fun and difficult dungeon in the game so far (haven’t tried them all).
We did the asura path in 2 hours (noone did it before, so we had to understand how some points work) and we found very unique mechanics to proceed in the dungeon, it was a real huge puzzle and we enjoyed it a lot.
But be aware, the fun could be turning in frustration if the team isn’t good and you are not in vent/TS, becuase the difficulty level is really high.
Overall… if just you want to farm some gold, don’t play Arah. If you want a real challenge, variety of mechanics, puzzles… that’s the place for you.

I think GW2 does a pretty good job with endgame, it takes a while to get full exotic equip and once you’re done you can go for the legendary or start a new character.
The only real problem I see, is that there isn’t any rare SKIN that is only droppable and has some value in TP, in GW1 most of the dungeons had a small chance to drop a unique rare skin, while in GW2 you are forced to farm the skin you want, you can not buy it, and aoutomatically you can’t make money searching for rare skins.
P.S.
All what I said is valid if you don’t consider PvP as endgame.
Ci Assediamo Da Soli [SIGH] ~ Officier
2 warriors
1 guardian (me)
1 thief
1 mesmer (<3 Quickness)
All lv 80, with mostly exotic gear, we did all AC paths in a bit more than one hour in total, making 1,5 gold, drops excluded.
The dungeon is really doable (and fast) if you know what to do and have a decent equip.
Feel free to ask if you need any tip.
