windows 10 as a game dvr feature to capture games. sometime when you start guild wars 2 the game dvr feature it cause a conflict and the game will close leaving you a error message. close the message and go back to guild wars 2 after all is fine. the game dvr feature run in the background in windows 10.

you can record your guild wars 2 game with it. but sometime it cause a error message when you start guild wars 2. the game close so you can see the error message. close the error message and go back to the game. also the guild wars 2 error reporting tool can also sometime close the game. when you are playing.

it also as happen to me 2 night in a row at about the same time. maybe they do server maintenance around that time. I have also check everything on my side. everything was good. I tried to go see guild wars 2 forum to see if people talked about this and the forum was not working. only guild wars 2 official web site. and I know some people where still playing. so it is not all the server only some of them. so it is either maintenance or they have some bug on a server around the same time. or maybe some ddoss attack on their server no idea.

yes and they did a bad nerf on revenant cutting is healing by 36% also adding a delay on the glint healing skill and elite. at the place of making bad nerf they should have started with the skill that are not working properly. each time someone complain they nerf something . now to play the revenant you have to guess what the enemy will do and play the skill with delay in advance. and even then sometime it will not work. also someone complain 11 day agao about the glint skill not working properly. to solve this you need to equip water healing skill on your revenant. I told anet about this bug when hot came out. seams they never have fixed it.

to solve this put water skill on your revenant. going in water with no water skill cause this bug. on the glint skill. it also happen in the dry top map in the sand storm. some time in pvp and a couple of other area. like I said the fix is to equip water skill on your revenant. only 2 legendary hero have water skill. so look this up.

I have reported this bug to anet when hot came out. seams they never fixed it.

also I have notice that around 4 character did not receive any chest key on map completion. another bug? or you decided to not give key on map completion and after decided to give key back again?

Keys are never a guaranteed drop for map completion. For non-city maps, you’ll always have a chance of either a transmutation charge or a black lion chest key (with a greater chance of getting a transmutation charge).

well on each map completion I have always receive a black lion key. on all my character on all map. except this new map that I have received on 4 or 5 of my 9 character. the 4 or 5 other did not receive some. I done like 3 charector or 4 not sure then noticed my other one did not receive one then my last one received one.

Wouldn’t make a lot of sense, since the certificate ‘works’ for all the domain except the one kind of redirect. It’s not like each page has a different certificate.

well this year all browser have decided of dropping sha-1 you can still connect but some browser will issue warning. or ask you what you want to do from. in 2017 sha-1 will be drop completely.

no kidding ppl who voted to keep it dont even play that map they go queue EB first.

That’s because they polled everyone in GW2. A lot of PVE folks voted cause they thought it was cool. The WvW peeps mostly did not want it. At least that has been what I have noticed.

nope a lot of people like the dbl. it is a change from the alpine bl. some day people play in the alpine other day in the dbl. change of scenery is not bad once and a while. of course when you are out number almost on all map you will probably go less to the dbl since some place are a little more hard to get. example: the fire keep lord. in that room a small number of defender can take down a bigger attacker group.

I would say it also depend on the server organization. some always play big number on one map only and leaves no one or almost no one on the other map. in that case nothing is upgraded or sieged or defended. so the strategy can be different to make ppt depending on different factor.

The desert BL is in most matches slightly less played on than the Alpine BLs. But all the BLs are much, much less played than EBG in every match-up consistently.

So really just get rid of everything except EBG.

are you mad it lags enough as it is. also not every one like to play in a lag blob fest.

I have also notice that some player take no damage and 1 shoot kill you. or that they are always stealth even when they attack you. and even if you use protective skill and healing you get downed in a not normal way. probably some exploit or some hacking. now to say it is the tonic this remain to be prove any video capture of it that you could link?

I was playing in yack bend alpine border land I way point to the start of the map. after a little long while I was ported to the desert map borderland.

to cap that makes no sense. at 15000 ap if you divide by 10 ap per day it means that after 1500 day you do not get any point any more. it equal to 4 years (more precise 4.10958904109589) if you played all the day in the year. if someone finished collecting all the ap achievement and cannot collect the daily ap he must wait on for anet to produce more achievement. they should leave the daily with no cap. at least it will give those player something to do until they add more achievement.

I also have noticed that I cannot get fire stone on my guardian. I have all ready made it once on all my 9 character I have reactivated the quest chain to be able to try to get the slain the beasts quick achievement. not sure if this cause issue. I have also notice that some time I get the daily elixir rewards on different character. and those character are not even on the new map. something seams bug in this. do not know if the firestone bug and the daily elixir bug have something in common or not. or if those 2 issue are apart from one another. it will need some looking in to.

yesterday I got disconnected and took around 20 minutes before I could log back in.

same today I am disconnected can’t log back in at the moment. I have also seen that guildwars 2 official site forum was not reachable. now it seams to have come back so I am telling you about the issue.

are you doing server maintenance at this time?

seams to be only for north America. since I know some other people in Europe and central America that are playing at the moment.

found more bugs there is other petrified wood node on the map that does not give the petrified wood.

also the heart npc south left of the map I could not give him the stuff that he collect to complete the heart after 3 try the option came back on. so probably a bug to fix there.

hi Gaile I have some bug to report in ember bay .

1: first of all the petrified wood node left of the south way point does not give wood.

2:the skrit loot in ember bay karka top north near the rock to the left side using the skrit worker the worker appear on the rock and is stuck not giving you the stuff.

3:top left of ember bay ether towers and jade does not fill the heart. also where you attack and where the ether tower are seams to not be in same location. you shoot to the left or to the right of the ether tower.

feedback the jp is nice but to find where to go is kind of hard to much blind side jump with no direction where to go. also the fact that sometime you cannot go back to check point if you drop to get a token in the tunnel or if the map close because there was not enough people in it. on some character I find the lava to be a little to high in damage when you enter the jp and start climbing the lava flow. almost instant death.

I liked the new story and the new map.it was fun to do liked it very much. still need to find token 23 and 24 and finish hal the apple will tell you if I find any more bugs.

yep checking if you have more then one gpu in the system and what one the system is using can be good. other thing that affect fps in gw2 is the cpu bound issue; this happens when there is to much graphic at same time and the direct x high level driver need to solve programmation error for memory allocation and send the graphic job at the right place. when that happens. the graphic job is stopping on the cpu and not reaching the gpu to be render at same time the dirext x driver is also using the cpu to solve those issue to send the job to the gpu. you can also look if you are running any other heavy program on the cpu in the back ground when the fps drop example: system performance check that use your system at peek performance to see if everything is working, also security scan, video app or picture or graphical app. anything that use a lot of cpu power on your system can cause gw2 to run slow. since gw2 use direct x 9 a high level api, the only way for gw 2 to fix this would be to upgrade to direct x 12 low level api. since in that case the driver to fix issue is very small but the game devs need to make sure there is no error before it is release. no safety net for the dev in that case and more work for them,more testing and bug correction. maybe in a couple years.

I also agree ether tower top left near the shore where you shoot at them and where they are is not same position.

also the heart does not fill up when you destroy the ether tower or the Mursat in that area.

there is a bug with skritt loot a node in ember bay top right of the map one is next to a rock when you use the worker contract skritt appear on the rock and stay there never giving you the loot. you probably have a small skritt army over there by now. no wounder the server is full of skritt. HaHaHa

same for me also. was not able to get out of the dragon vigil instance. and now can’t log in. server connection issue tested everything on my side and all is working. but the game won’t connect.

I have no increased ingame pings but sometimes I see rubberbanding effects in PvP Matches or Fractals. This started with the last patch.

it could be that someone is cheating also using third party software to get them speed hack etc.. doing this they by-pass every one in the server response timing. causing lag and instability.

as for last patch being the cause of this. then it would be a programming error. is it constant and can you reproduce it? example does it happen only in one pvp map? what is starting the fps and ping drop? is it some skill that you or someone else in the match is using? if you can pin point a repro. and show it to anet it will be a lot more easy for them to find the issue. if not it is like looking for a needle in a hay stack.

Been having severe lag and disconnects over the last few days as well.
Super fun being in PvP when it happens, basically can’t join out of fear of making it a 4v5. Even trying to do teq has been a joyful event of disconnects. Ping actually poped up once for it at 3500.

that is ugly. fps is your graphic and ping is the internet connection between you and anet server.

since there is no zerg in pvp fps should be good. how much fps do you have normally?

60 fps plus is normally good for mmo.

there is not much to do. except look on your side your graphic card and program running. and look at your internet connection. if you are not the only one I would say it is anet server that are laggy.

fps drop on this game usely happen when the cpu become bound to much graphic and the dx9 api driver is trying to solve the programmation error to send the graphic at the right place and allocate the right resource and memory. that is what happens with high level dx. the only way right now to solve this would be dx12 a low level api where the game programmer as abstraction layer remove from him so he can give the right emplacement and allocation for resource and memory. and test it before releasing the update of the game. this will takes ages in the case of this game. since it requires that all bugs are solve from the start. since you do not have the dx high level api driver to do the job of the programmer in dx12.

as for the server lag this they could probably do something about it.

for this you could do a tracert command to see where you connect and where is the slow down. it would give you the ip of anet where you connect. and the timing of the route through each hoop.

the download speed and up load speed is like the size of the pipe. of how much data can pass through in a second. while the ping or the tracert. is the amount of time needed to make a connection from your ip to anet server ip.

even if it is good to have a good download and upload speed. if the connection is slow loose packet on the way. or does not connect it does not change much that you have a bigger pipe or not(download upload speed).

With current standards, connections requiring TLS over TCP require round trips to the server (3-RTT) to negotiate—1 for TCP and 2 for TLS—before starting sending something useful, like the first HTTP GET command. This gets even more problematic when sites split content across multiple domains.  In practice, adding encryption adds delays in the range of hundreds of milliseconds to the page load time.

so next time do a tracert command. you will see at what ip the connection get slow in the route.

This is an update to the situation where soulbound items have been incorrectly soulbound to the wrong characters. After further investigation we’ve determined that there is damage to almost all character records that were played this morning, not just to those who transferred soulbound items to or from a bank. To repair the damage, we will have to roll back the state of the game and characters to prior to this morning’s release.

No one wants to lose a play session’s progress. We apologize for this. I’m sure you’ll also have questions about exactly what a rollback means to you. The general answer is that everything about the game state, including things like trading post transactions, will be restored to how it was prior to this morning’s release. The only unusual case will be that if you purchased the game or purchased gems this morning, you’ll still get your purchase.

The process of rolling back and then validating everything to bring the game back up will take hours. We’ll keep you updated. There will be a period of time when these forums will be unavailable, but we’ll post updates through other channels.

if anet dev read this I have seen another report on this forum saying that people in fields of ruins, rata sum or verdant brick are not able to acces their character that where there in those map before the server was shoot down.

question should we avoid those maps? until you fix those issue?

after roll back being in field of ruin after a couple minutes you get disconnect and ported to last map where you where on. It happen to me 10 time and to many people on that map.

I agree that when they do a shut down to repair issue they should advise in advance, in gw 1 they would tell you 1 hour in advance or send message many day in advance we are going to do maintenance work on that day from this time to that time.

also agree that most of the time the network issue seams to be from their end. so the message are misleading when they say it is your router modem or internet connection. since I check all those and there is no issue 95% of the time. the fact that I am not the only one in game having issue lag disconnect etc. tell me right away that it is on anet side.

also this web site seams to be connected to the game server in some way since when you have issue with the game often this web site seams to have performance issue also. everything goes slow or connecting some time is not possible. today it is slow.

yes I have a soul bound item on a character(thief) that is not a revenent. that is the armor piece that you made soulbound at the place of making them account bound when hot was realease. that is why it as been stuck there for along while now. since you got those armor piece after doing some requisite in game.

as for putting stuff in storage soul bound to other character it could be trinket or trophy that are sometime needed to do some event. when people do not have enough space on the character they use the bank storage to hold it in.

any idea when you are going to fix what this patch error as done?

so when can go and enjoy the game.

I would say first fix bug, then fix lag, then you can implement changes.

extra idea for you in wvw you have a system to spend point many people have maxed that you could add extra one to spend point. increase defense or attack power extra travel speed on the map etc… the existing system was nice and extra goal to get extra powers up, keeping the player engage in doing something productive for them self and their server. but with everything maxed and no new powers up to spend the point on, you accumulate the point and no new stuff is added for that system. time to be creative and add extra power up, could be a second tier of the same with higher level power up, or completely new one.

also some want the new dbl map why not add them as extra map to play?

it would spread more player across map and would lower the lag on each map, less blob fest.

they could fix the fps part of it with dx12 but that will require time and investment. not only that they will need to learn more stuff to make this happen since dx 12 is more close to the hardware and remove a layer that devs do not see right now, it remove the safety net of the dx api to solve the error done between what they do and the layer they do not see. for what the devs will do before releasing the game or game update that means more testing so there is no error, just look at this forum bugs and error and think how many time will this takes? as for server limitation I do not think it should have any problem server today can install os on 1500 system per second, so it should be able to handle fight of 200 people synch for skill, position and timing.

there might have been skill lag years before, but you could still use some skill with a longer delay before the skill fire, now you can be minutes pushing button with nothing happening and the lag is not only where the zerg is but it spread out on the map. also notice that it does not always reflect in fps or ping anymore through the option panel. before you could see the ping doing very high number or the fps number drop very low.

Good to see they corrected a vunarability in a typically green controlled tower, now if they’d just make red Keep un-trebable from SM.

well smc is trebable from red keep also. so not a big deal it even out. since the other 2 keep you can do that only from tower and tower are harder to defend then keep.

it happens to me some time it is like spike lag rubber banding. either there is network issue on anet side. or there is people using hack(speed hack etc…) and it cause instability on anet server. that is my best guess.

I think it is network related. some time I fall down going down a cliff and the character is slipping on the floor like on ice. other time I cannot cross door in keep in wvw and nothing on map is moving, can’t interact with anything. then alittle after it is like the connection comes back and everything start to work again. it is similar to rubber banding lag spike.

you could also do a -repair on the game client. and for the pc you could do a command from command prompt admin sfc /scannow. also if you have kitten you might have a intel rapid storage for the ssd some report issue since the windows 10 anniversary update freeze and system crash you should look at your oem or intel for that software update. look also for uefi bios update. also if you have web cam issue a patch is coming in September since compression for direct show MJPEG and H.264 was remove from windows 10 and hardware and software for web cam need those. right now windows 10 have only YUY2 and RGB24 working.

There is 2 lag you can get one cause by graphic. and the other one cause by server.

one thing to not forget is that what happens on your pc connect to anet server to synch. with other player position, skill, timing etc…

the more people in the same area fighting the more data synch. more delay on the network part. then it piles up and up.

on the graphic part this game use dx9 high level api when there is to much graphic the dx9 api as to many things to resolve and the cpu gets bound because the dx9 api is trying to solve issue to send graphic and memory allocation correctly to the graphic card. only fix for that would be dx 12 low level api. (this removes the layer for the game programmer so that he can see and solve the issue directely before releasing the game, more work for them, also no safety net if they make error no dx 12 api to solve it. dx 12 api still can fix some stuff but not the part handle by the programmer.)

now if you have a graphic slow down and the game go slow for you and every one else because their is to much graphic cpu bound issue to solve at same time. and you are all connected together and need to synch. that can also cause slow down.

What made it interesting.. it said.. “Debug token ‘0×00000000000F1059’: Lightning ran out of space for new bolts.” .. ran out of space?

not sure what that means.. but kinda funny

yes space for new bolts. you must have use a skill that send lightning bolt graphic. it is either a program error. or it is a memory error the dx9 api(program that solve the issue for the programmer on the layer that they do not see, to give proper memory allocation etc..) could not find the proper memory allocation to make the image.

that is what I am guessing from what is written.

is this problem new? or did this only happens after update to graphic card? I know that some graphic update came with the latest windows 10 update. did you try to roll back to previous build on the graphic card to see if you have the same issue? if you have the same issue I would say that it could be something change in gw2. if you don’t have it any more it could be something change in the new graphic card driver update.

that is a very good news. means we can go take a drink or use the bathroom with out the game closing. never liked to much that inactivity timer any way.

in guild wars 1 there was none. you could play the festival ring game all weekend. just leave the character on the choose ring. and the game would play all weekend long.

in gw2 I find that inactivity timer very bothering. you need to go to bathroom or take a drink etc.. you come back and you are out on the character screen. not enough that some time you crash and need to come back in you also have the inactivity timer working against you.

if it does not work, good at least we can go and come back with out worry to be on the character screen and have to log on once we are back.

Game crashing.. Sometimes once a hour sometimes every minute?

So ever since the patch my game is crashing. I’ve been sending reports all the time but still no fix as of yet. It feels totally random but the thing I always seem to read the the AimIK bones part:

Anyone else having this? It seem to be a Guild Wars 2 problem only as all my other games run without problems.

AimIK solver is a modification of the CCD algorithm that rotates a hierarchy of bones to make a child Transform of that hierarchy aim at a target. It differs from the basic built-in Animator.SetLookAtPosition or the LookAtIK functionality, because it is able to accurately aim transforms that are not aligned to the main axis of the hierarchy.
AimIK can produce very stabile and natural looking retargeting of character animation, it hence has great potential for use in weapon aiming systems. With AimIK we are able to offset a single forward aiming pose or animation to aim at targets even almost behind the character. It is only the Quaternion singularity point at 180 degrees offset, where the solver can not know which way to turn the spine. Just like LookAtIK, AimIK provides a clampWeight property to avoid problems with that singularity issue.
AimIK also works with rotation limits, however it is more prone to get jammed than other constrained solvers, should the chain be heavily constrained.
Aim provides high accuracy at a very good speed, still it is necessary to keep in mind to maintain the target position at a safe distance from the aiming Transform. If distance to the target position is less than distance to the aiming Transform, the solver will try to roll in on itself and might be unable to produce a finite result.

model 0×00000. is a model with a memory number. seams that something you have target when playing it as not been able to resolve the issue. could be to many things to target at the same time over 180 degree angle.

today in borderland every thing as hang I could move on the map but could not pass door of keep could not cast skill. weird part is that it did not show issue with fps or ping before during or after did not get a report either. logged out .

then came back and later on playing in the new ls3 map on the second jade armor fight got a crash just after the fight was mining 2 nodes near the wall.

- Boonstrip doesn’t work against those zergs, because stripping boons doesn’t do damage, while the boonshare zerg will do damage in the meantime. Once the boons are applied, the zerg can just switch all their skills to damage skills.
- Corrupt doesn’t work, because the applied conditions are not taking into account the length of boons/stacks on the player and can only be done by specific classes in a very limited way (for example only 1 or 3 boons get corrupted and if it is, then it is 1 stack of burning for 3 sec for 2 min aegis; 25 stacks of might for 40 seconds will be 1 weakness for 10 seconds – it’s really bad).
But even if duration of boons/stacks would be taken into account, it wouldn’t help if the player still has resistence up.

There really is one main culprit in wvw that’s responsible for the boon share meta – its revenant and more specifically the passive boon resistance on Facet of Nature. For a measly 2 upkeep you can passively give +450 stat points of concentration to 5 players. That’s absolutely insane and not even remotely close to inline with existing with traits (eg. strength in numbers, empower allies, etc) that are similar in function. Additionally, the existing traits require you to be in combat before they activate.

The facet of nature really is out of balance by a huge margin. It is similar to if a class had a bonus that gave 450 power with 100% uptime to 5 players. I understand that arenanet wants the rev to be overpowered so people buy HoT, but this is just silly. Even if it would be reduced to 20% and reduced in uptime it still would be insane.

BUT only fixing this wouldn’t solve the problem. Many builds are already on the cap of 100% boon duration without being fully equipped with concentration gear/weapons/food etc. and could just make adjustments to get to 100% boon duration again. Some boons aren’t meant to be had for more than 5 seconds, so limiting the max duration should be a thing, just like other boons and conditions have a “stack” limit for the same reason.
Imho this should be done IN ADDITION to fixing the problems that lead to boon share zergs atm (mesmer, revenenants).

there is no problem of boon share it work as it is suppose to work. rev have receive already enuff bad nerf. because some people do not know how to play their class. so much bad nerf that against some class they are ineffective one on one. herald works better in group now and cannot play to much active in front because of the bad nerf to healing that as all ready been made. not only that but most of herald attack are condition attack so made for long fight, power is for shorth fight. so having healing reduce and needing it for fight 1 vs 1 where other player play power necro life sucking, 2 health bar or zerg fight where you will be the first one targeted all ready gives the rev a very bad handicap. not only that people that are starting to play the game or play only one class have no idea that rev reinforce them and that they should help their rev that as been handicap badly by the bad nerf. they see people attack they run away the rev get killed since the shield skill stuck them in place and healing is not good enough anny more. then they try to attack with out the rev and they get killed and they do not understand why they die faster this time if they are even aware of it. (since the rev cannot give them boon protection and a little healing.)

rev was fun at the beginning since bad nerf not as fun to play it suffer badly and if another bad nerf happen will probably not be good to play any more. since playing with rev healing or boon is playing with is survivability and it was made to have high survivability to be able to play in a zerg fight to survive while giving boon. and be also able to survive one on one. now against 4 class is almost impossible now to survive. and since there is 9 class in total that is 4 class out of 9.

rev need more healing like it was when it first came out it also need more power in is attack. rest is good. no more nerf or you will kill that class.

No really, why should it even be shared? Why cant this be a skill for the player only? The rev is already AoE sharing boons far better than the individual utility skills of other classes (no contest at all in perma uptime vs giving like 5s on 25s cd or similar).

Without it being shared, we would be back to normal boon durations on other classes and the rev would still be insanely strong. Lowering the upkeep on it as a tradeoff would be fine.

I have no objection to this. It would be my preferred solution. But I’ve made that suggestion so many times, I just wanted to offer an alternative.

Halving the effect and putting a duration limit on it would force some coordination and timing in its use. What really bothers me about Herald is the passive nature of the skills. Anything to make them more active would be an improvement in my book.

Also, it’s pretty ridiculous that the same facet from multiple revs stack, but that’s another topic entirely, I guess (probably one we’ll see after boonshare and damage reduction gets nerfed and people start running glass backlines with permanent 25might again)..

if you want to make rev more active remove the bad healing nerf made to the class. and give the rev more attack power. as for the boon and the rest it is good as it is. as for rev boon share among other rev protection is 1 boon having another rev with same boon around does not make protection 2 it stay 1 protection( yes if many rev they can probably make their skill coordinate when playing as a team but so can all other class in the game.) stop doing bad nerf to the class. learn to play your own class. veteran player from gw 1 and gw 2 that is getting tired of bad nerf made to other class because people do not know how to play their own class.

I f you want to know I play all class. so I know what class is good against another or what skill is more effective against another class. at the place of asking for things to be nerfed why not ask for thing that are not working on your own class to be addressed. that could prove more beneficial then starting to nerf other class because your class as some skill issue or the player needs to learn is class.

What about putting something in to the effect of, once X boon has been stripped/corrupted that boon type can not be reapplied for 10 sec, or 5 sec or whatever just throwing out random numbers.

learn to play your class better we suffer enuf bad nerf already. as rev.

we all ready have bad nerf to healing making rev not as usefull as before. since most of the time rev are targeted by all the zerg at same time. rev is a support class that reinforce the other player. but nerfing the healing made the rev to weak and most often rev get killed before the rest of the player around. as herald you use shield sword mace or axe(short, middle range) or hammer(long range).

even necro outlast rev on 1 vs 1 fight. since necro (light armor) have 2 health bar that replenish on attack. and rev (heavy armor) more toughness with a small health gain as herald with aspect on.

warrior and thief have skill that goes through rev protection skill. and like I said rev all ready suffer from previous bad nerf to healing. so stop the damage right now.

I agree to much complaining rev boon Mesmer boon yada yada. what if rev start complaining about thief, warrior and necro. some class are very good against other class and some not it is part of the game. as a rev I could complain about the bad nerf they did to healing. – 36% healing also heal skill no 6 not setting of right away, now rev get killed to easy. a change should be made to that bad nerf. but you see I as a rev have adapt skill does not activate right away use it 0.50 second before you need it. heal does not work good enuff bring food that give some healing.

not as fun to play as beginning when rev just came out.

but I have adapt to that bad nerf so stop asking for other bad nerf because it is a class that you do not play. just learn to play your class better.

Keep in mind, as others point out, malicious companies who find they are blocked often just create new names, so containing them can be a bit of a case of “whack-a-mole.” Still, we do take this seriously, and we act on RMT spammers every day. With your help, we can do more!

I’ve got a huge blocklist of RMT spam-bots and I can safely say that you’ve banned them all.

However, while you say that they pick a new name, every single whisper I’ve had since 2012 has been for the SAME WEBSITE. It’s the one that rhymes with GvG Rank. You could have blocked that string of characters ages ago. It’ll cost a heck of a lot more for them to get a new domain name and update all their bots than for you to simply add their domain into your filters. Simply discard any whispers they send and put up a flag (or temporary ban after multiple discarded whispers) on their account. Don’t inform them they’ve used blocked words.

well with the web site name they can sometime with some search find to who the domain is registered, to find the owner. but still it does not prove that the owner is the one doing this. unless they can prove that the ip of the web site and the player account ip match. and if he use 2 different ip how can you prove it?

so taking legal action is long and costy the better way would probably be to use technology to solve the problem at it source. they have the ip of those account they need to block them find a away to filter account with those letter names block the account and check if the next account that send a message is from same ip and block that ip out of the game. if it is the same system that use a program from same ip it will be block for good. unless they are able to change their ip to connect from the same location. the things is no system is perfect but you can always upgrade the system. if it is done by amateur they are usually more easy to block, since they know little and if it get complex they will not know how to continue.. the problem is with people that are more professional and know what they are doing those are more hard to block since they know complex stuff and way to by-pass complex system.

the most simple way is for people to not follow those link so that the web site does not receive revenue or hack your account. if every one did that they would stop trying since their would be nothing to be gain from this. the problem is that people do not know this and they are able to make a revenue out of it.
