When your not in Hearts of Mist and the timer goes all the way down, you enter PvP with your PvE weaponset instead of PvP weaponset. They need to fix this so its PvP weaponset. Cant tell you how many times game started and I’m thinking I’m using my PvP weaponset and I swap weapons and its the wrong weapon.

Very annoying, needs fixing.

As a Chinese, I can tell u that is not true.
Some of them are not even regarded as the best players in China. But they do somewhat represent the highest or close to the highest level of playing in China.

Same is said for NA as well.

If it starts 5v5 and someone rage quits is that a 4v5? I don’t think they get penalized either.

Put the banker where the rank 80 glory vendor was. Have a huge big blimp in middle of zone showing the leaderboards top 1-25 players. This way when those PvP’ers complain about “in PvP everyone knows me, outside PvP nobody knows me” they wont have that problem anymore because everyone sees there name on the huge blimp.

the main problem is, you can’t see kitten in this game, unlike say LoL where you can clearly see what is going on.

spvp needs a better camera to view the action (those “attached camera spectate views” are horrible) , and the game mode needs to be changed to allow for better view.

Couldn’t agree more, the problem with the streams is, theres like 2 or 3 fights going on and most of the times people want to see a different fight than what the streamers are streaming. Also people want to ride whoever there favorite player is.

Thing is back before September 2013 the developers mentioned improvements in the spectating as in more people could spectate a game… Nothing has changed since and it has been long and forgotten thing. This was back when we had relationships with the developers monthly through ‘State of the Game’.

Whole year passes by, hotjoin has been ruined, glory system has been ruined. Only thing they really added was a tab that lets you put on armor which you could already do through the hero screen (no change really, just another silly tab), and a reward track.

A silly tab and a reward track is what we got in a years time. They deleted glory, glory vendors, (pretty much everything you worked hard for.. PvP exclusive things like Soldiers backpack on vendors deleted, all those Match Win Reward chests DELETED, and you say you had over half a million glory saved… Deleted), and ruined hotjoins in that years time as well. Nothing but a bunch of deletions with a silly tab and a reward track in a year.

I have two accounts and find it rather fantastic for moneymaking. While my Boyfriend(who only has one) gets one set of “farming” things like daily chests in dungeons and world boss bonuses, I get two. Me having two accounts was a long story but it ended up in my favor by doing so. I have no complaints here about having two accounts. Though to be honest I think this sale is targeted at people who don’t have the game already. Or someone like me who might be inclined to purchase the game again for a friend. Also, there is Gamescom going on right now so Having a sale when you have a booth at a convention is a good marketing plan.

It was good, but now that I think of it afterwards, being in a game sense. If the pale tree died, they would have to change up the main storyline because she is required for the main story. However, the other leaders, they aren’t required unless you play that certain race, so its alright if the other leaders died but the pale tree, they wont let her die because they’ll have to do a lot of changing in the game then.

That’d be like the main character of a movie died halfway through the movie, how often do you see that… Never.

The matchups are a joke. ANET should just randonmly put the 15 players on the 3 teams. At least then we’d have a competition.

I know one guy that plays for China, Nocturne Z, he played on NA the entire time so don’t be saying stuff like, “they aint had enough time of GW2”. Pretty sure theres 2 other people besides him that played on NA before going to China as well.

I will have you know that my wife had around 6,000 badges of honor and she never played WvW. We’ve both been playing since the three day head start and that is how many she had before I took her elementalist in to EotM to work on her monthlies while she is in school.

Maybe it should be 3,000 gold AND 10,000 badges of honor so it is well understood that they know what they are doing. Or should we up the badges to 100,000?

I know that something needs to be done to remove it from being a status symbol and make it a Mark of Competency.

No, you are wrong. How much gold you made yesterday? I can tell you that instead of making gold, I “lost” 3g during my 4 hours playing WvW yesterday. So yeah, don’t come here claiming knowing things when you say yourself you barely play WvW. To that point, I can also add that the real hardcore players also won’t have this unholy amount of badges since they don’t spend hours per day farming in EoTM and they actually use their badges to exchange for siege. I don’t farm in EoTM, actually I avoid that place, and am sitting at 4k badges right now. Most of them I got from player kills instead of flipping things non stop in a karma train.

To conclude, @ Ravion Hawk, I really hope you meant 300G instead of 3,000G. Otherwise that is a illusion that any WvW player is hoarding gold somewhere. I can, for sure, tell you that most players, the ones that don’t or hardly PvE, have about 10% of less of that amount.

You lost 3 gold? Well lemme tell ya something, Eredon Terrace isn’t a WvW server, so no wonder why you lost gold. I play on JQ and lemme tell ya something, these commanders are blinging. Just looking at them you can tell they got the gold in the bag.

The whole point of wanting different colour tags is so that commanders can organise their colours amongst themselves, so people know which tag they should be following.

WvW players are completely gold poor compared to PvE players, so the very people who this feature will actually be useful for are the people who can’t afford to buy X extra colours just so they have the flexibility to switch when it’s needed.

Oh stop, I PvP and you guys make more gold than us. We get 22s if we win a game, 11s if we lose a game, every 8-15 minutes. Then occansional reward track with another 5-20s on average. You guys in WvW get champ bags, bags from killing people, don’t even complain. Also you guys get karma. We don’t even get karma in PvP. Theres no PvP glory either. We don’t even get badges or anything like that either.

If anything, in PvP they should give out bags when you kill people during solo q and team q.

Some of us are simply not very interested in doing organized group content. Motivations will vary. For some, it might be personal obligations, time constraints, etc. For others, it might be personality or playstyle. Are they to be forced to do organized group content to upgrade an item that begin in the solo personal story?

It’s not the fact that the piece requires group content that is silly. It’s the fact that you get the start of the piece through something that is designed specifically for solo play and then it requires group content later. It is just inconsistent design – unappealing and misleading.

Dude don’t even talk about you not wanting to do organized group content. Tequatl is organized, those instances your in that aren’t organized end in failure. Triple Trouble is organized, extremely high failure rate even while organized.

If you had to do Triple Trouble for this, I’m sure you’d be whining again about “oooh why do I have to be in super organized group to get such and such”

FOTM isn’t even that hard until you get to high fractals. Nothing hard or super organized about running up to a tentacle, smacking it, grabing a crystal when you see something above your head, throwing it at maw.

Even easy dungeons like CoF Part 1 is organized, everyone has to get inside a pillar while 1 guy goes and smacks something until it breaks.

I’d rather do fractals anyday over high failure rate pve events like triple trouble to advance in getting a better backpiece.

This is a high quality item as well, least you don’t have to do any major raiding or anything, because I’d consider this raid quality gear in any other MMORPG. Yall whining about this are spoiled seriously.

You guys that already have tags, are saving 200 gold if you have 1 tag, 100 gold if you have 2 tags, not losing anything if you have 3 but have easy option of buying another one to get a colored one for 100g. and your getting another tag and saving 200g if you have 4. All I see you guys doing right now is whining and only focusing on “im not getting a free color tag”. You just saved 200, 100 gold compared to the people who are going to have to buy the tag later for 300 gold. Also its ACCOUNT bound, so don’t even talk about how its too expensive, its for all your toons, if you got 8 toons, you just saved 700 gold.

If GW2 is satisfied with the numbers they are getting then good for them. But if they aren’t, they need to be looking at reasons why they aren’t getting viewership and attack those reasons why, and I already mentioned a few.

To that guy talking about his clock program.. Theres apps and programs for pretty much everything, but not everyone uses them to its potential. Like theres an app that you scan a bar code on what you plan to purchase on your smartphone and it tells you other locations that have that item and how much they are selling it for so you can goto the cheapest place for whatever your trying to get. But is everybody using this? Nope. You think everyone uses your clock program compared to googling it themselves? Nope. In marketing your cater to the customer, you don’t give them some weird instructions and expect them to follow through. You marketing anet people need to leave no reason at all for not getting the high amount of viewership you desire.

Also I bet you a majority of people that play GW2, like 95% of them, wont even know about the China vs USA tournament tomorrow. Wont even know the address of the live twitch. And you know what. Its the people at anet fault because of that and nobody else. Theres no reason at all why you shouldn’t be getting 10,000 or 100,000+ people viewing it on twitch, if your doing what your suppose to be doing and marketing it. To be honest I totally forgot when the game was gonna happen and had no clue it was happening until I got bored on forums. This games advertising for these major live games need some serious improvement if you ask me. I know now when the NA China one is now, ONLY because some random poster posted it, but that time CEST, why you use that timezone when you on American forums and if any a tiny amount of americans in CEST timezone. This isn’t no European forum… I swear they are LAZY sometimes, you’d think some people confuse it with EST… And its not on but they wanted to watch it. Some people wanted to watch game but too lazy to look up that timezone and convert it to there timezone. All it takes is to change it and make it American friendly for the NA forums and I’m sure they’d have couple more hundred if not thousand. Also, to make it on the game update screen, games friggin going on, come watch. If they don’t get the results they wanted, they really have NO ONE to blame but themselves.

Another thing, with current technology you should be able to decipher peoples location and have a program that always gives the time in there timezone. Whether it be by IP address, or gathering information such as the clock from their computer. Simple stuff like that is what will break you or make you into becoming successful. As they say. Timing is everything.

Most people that want/need T6 mats already have them, they have there legendary too. So it T6 mats don’t really make a big deal at all. The game is over a year old, people have that junk and just stash it and sell it. Now commander tags that something new. There’s a bunch of people with a massive surplus of gold. This sink will get rid of some of that. And those that don’t, that’s where you get enticed to buy gems and sell to improve gold to gem ratio.

Stop acting like this too much, the friggin thing is account bound. Yall stuck up on colors and forgot that its account bound. You got 8 toons, well thanks to anet all your toons get the tag and you saved 700 gold from buying a commander tag now. You got 5 toons and want to wait till the colors come out? Well thanks to anet all your toons get the colored tags and you saved 200 gold. You have 5 toons and you already have 3 tags, just buy another tag for 100g while it lasts and thank anet because you get color tag and all your toons get it AND you saved 100 gold AND you have 2 different colors.

The way I look at this gold sink is that the gold to gem ratio will get better. Theres a lot of unhappy people that don’t like the current ratio and this should help.

Also, if you have a commander tag already, you have the means and probably already have more than enough gold to buy another tag. There’s a bunch of people running around with tons of gold in there pocket, this is nothing so don’t act like its something. Don’t even pretend 300 gold is way outta your league either, and remember its ACCOUNT BOUND now, so 1 purchase of new color is for ALL your characters. Lastly, this is a way to get gold out of the game and people to convert gems to gold, so its a win win.

My feelings about this is that if you already have GW2 account theres no need for you to get another. Traditional MMORPGs like EQ, WoW, etc., people would be enticed to this deal of getting another account. But in GW2, boxing is pretty pointless because most of the fighting is moving around and its not let 1 account tank and other accounts spam nukes. I know in traditional MMOs running 3 box was pretty normal and you had these hardcore people running 30 boxes. But GW2, ones enough, I see no reason at all to have more than one account.

You know what, I actually like that this game isn’t box friendly. However I do have to say that this game isn’t really group/party friendly either since everyone is self sufficient.

If this deal was intended to get your friends to play it, than if your target market is 13-18 year olds in middle school and high school, than your doing it wrong. This is because kids haven’t been able to form relationships and school hasn’t started yet for them to gossip about it, the deal ends pretty much when school starts. If your target market is 19 – 25 year olds in college, than your doing it wrong. You should’ve did this deal during the springtime for college people because that’s right before summer and they discuss with friends what they can do over the summer as well.

Its an ascended item, and ascended items are intended for fractals. I see nothing wrong here.

GW2 use to have ascended rings only drop from fractals. The game SPOILED you by making ascended gear obtainable elsewhere. Be THANKFUL you can get ascended gear outside the fractals of the mist because they spoiled you, so stop being greedy and selfish.

PvP’ers are forced to do pve content so I see nothing wrong here.

You gotta watch the animation of mobs and youll know when to dodge. Also you need to be aware of the mechanics of the game, as in if your about to die leave a mob at low hp so all you do is kill it when your down and rally off of it. Also using a good build helps a lot too, you should look up builds. You may be running a build that makes no sense or isn’t good enough.

They force pvp players into pve, so I see nothing wrong with wvw players being forced into pve as well.

Fotm, you have to have personal level 10 or higher before you start getting pristine fractal relics, 1 per day per level range and its account bound as well I think. Use to be character bound.

I think countess anise might be part of spys for mordemorth. she was a slavari in the last step of the part 2. She gonna use canach too if you listen closely.

If they make a competitive new pvp map, it should have Sun Adept, Wind Adept, and Lightning Adept in them to navigate and get around. It’s getting good reviews in pve since bazaar of four winds, now in dry top as well, and I’m positive that if implemented in PvP it will get received in a good way as well.

Cant wait for anet to do something like 250 bloodstone bricks, 250 dragonite ingots required for…. dragon reach part 2 backpiece evolution.

You know I got some blade shards, 6 of them, yesterday and looked it up how to do this. Well those blade shards were from a fractal and seeing how many of them I needed, I already quit. Blade shards must’ve dropped like candy during the time it came out.

Don’t be fooled, …. of the mists is a nobody, theres plenty running around with those titles but …. of the arena, now that’s an accomplishment and they well deserve to have banks and black lion trader inside the hearts of the mist.

What nearlight said. Also, keep in mind a lot of people that do a lot of theses or just 1 a day have banks full of ascended rings, so I wouldn’t rush and obtain them through laurels, guild comms or any other way and I would get them through fractals. Literally banks full.

They should give you black lion chest keys through PvP, maybe than PvP will have a chance to become esports.

What a lot of people fail to realize about perma hair contract selling it through black lion trader is that if you want to undercut the previous person that has his listed at 4888 or so, it costs YOU 700 gold just to put your listing there and there is a possibility that YOU could get undercut and if you want to change your listing it will cost another 700 gold or so just to remove it and put it back in the listing. A whooping 1400 gold wasted right there.

So if your an average joe, that doesn’t have 700 gold to be able to list your perma hairstyle kit you got lucky with, your pretty much forced to selling it through mail because you wont be able to afford the listing fee.

If only you could get rewarded ascended crafting gear through playing pvp, GW2 might have a chance of becoming esports again.

Look at it this way, most things require 3 silks, when you compare it to ores, most things cost 2 ores. Silk is very easily obtained too, just salvage light armor gear.

When you beat the personal story, the credits roll.

Your personal story is the end game. Just like in Skyrim, when you beat the main quest, that’s the end game.

I really do miss Maw and wondering if its still there too. Those new fotm zones, well the one with the duo just makes me think of World of Warcraft by the way those guys look. Never played WoW and not a fan of WoW either, so I really hate that zone.

Oh and right now I’m personal level 19, but I have ascended amulet, both rings, both accessories, and a ascended legpiece and chestpiece all with +5 simple infusion. I’ve done fotm 38 recently and wasn’t really that hard either. But I’ve done a bunch fotm so far and no ascended materials whether it be lower quality one or not, nothing at all, no one in my party gets them either.
