Has too much spammable CC and the damage is too high for the CC it has. It only serves to show how broken CC is in this game because you don’t have to time your CC at all. CC just overwrites so you aren’t punished for mistiming a CC.

I’ve heard from some people that the gadgeteer trait is a bit lackluster. Do you agree and if so, what do you think would make it better?
I think it’s a decent trait but I wish the recharge reduction was baked into the trait by default instead of relying on the overcharge buff. One thing I would like to see with an overcharged AED is an AoE explosion around you when you take lethal damage, something like the nova shields from Borderlands. Not sure how the other gadgets could be buffed, but Utility Goggles could use it’s 5 stacks of might back instead of 3 stacks.
Just hoping for the bugs to be fixed with it so I can start using it again…

With no real consistency, it seems like using the new Gadgeteer trait can actually cause you to use an ability twice. I’ve had two stacks of A.E.D., used Personal Battering Ram twice, and even Utility Goggles has been used twice. I still don’t know what causes it.
It seems that the overcharged gadgets are treated as seperate skills. So you can use the normal skill and then get overcharged, then the overcharged version will come up.

Mine field doesn’t seem to have forceful explosives baseline. The explosions are much smaller than they were pre-patch.
The Detonate Tooltip says 240 on that one. Trying to test range on dummies, but it is hard cause they fly out a random. It is looking more and more like they mean for forceful explosions to be baseline, but things got goofed.
I used to get all five mines hitting when standing on top of someone, now it’s hard to get even four to hit.
EDIT: Maybe the random spread was changed, I’m not sure.

I think mostly that Rangers are like that because they are generally logical people who care about balance.

1) Nerf Stun, When beign Stunned, you shoudn’t be able to be CC’ed instantly again.
It has to work like Stealth/Reveal. You stun somebody and then you have to wait some time, until you can stun a foe again.
Yup just make it work exactly like GW1. In GW1 if you were knocked down, you couldn’t be knocked down again until you got back up. So if someone used a KD on you while you’re on the ground, it was wasted. It actually rewarded timing and skillful play unlike the current system we have now.

I just gave up on the achievement.
It’s to hard and to RNG based sadly.It has nothing to do with RNG.

Most of the “difficult” content in this game isn’t really challenging. It’s mostly one shot mechanics, stunlock, and bosses with huge amounts of health.

Having no AoE circle is really annoying. The worst is when you get hit by those rocks because they spawn on you instantly if you were near the edge of the ring.

Took me a ton of tries to get the rock dodger achievement. I’d get hit by the rocks during the divine fire part when I was no where near them. Same goes with the boulders the dragon hurls towards you. I stood in a “safe” spot between 4 circles…not in any AoE circle and still got hit.

Ascended is only for ‘best stats’. Legendaries are the only weapons that have (and should only have) stat swapping abilities – it is, after all, one of the perks… that, and their animations.
You wouldn’t expect ascended armor to have stat swapping abilities. I would if it were legendary armor though. It’s the least it should have.
Legendaries were supposed to be only for skins, so ascended weapons should have the same stat swap mechanics.

Well exotics that aren’t precursors are worthless vendor trash because they aren’t ascended gear.
You don’t need anything above blues to complete almost every section this game offers. Blues and greens drop so much, you can outfit all your characters without even needing to buy from the trading post. YOU choose to use exotics and buy runes/sigils, but they are far from needed.

There should be just enough time to get a stomp in before their 2 and 3 skills pop.
Most #2 skills rarely interrupt stomps in fights because of all the ways to completely counter someone’s down state. Blind fields, stability, invuln, stealth, all make someone’s interrupt while down completely useless.
Plus there is no downside to being interrupted. You get interrupted you can just stomp again.

well anet will have to put a diminish return on cc anyways if they want people to have a good experiance. its not fun to get chain cced chain stunned, chain feared, chain knocked down, perma crippled, perma chilled…all these are terrible things that shouldnt be in a pvp environment without dr.
They had a good system in Guild Wars 1. If you used a knockdown skill on someone that was already knocked down, it was wasted.
Just need something to promote timing and less spam of disables.

Warriors shouldn’t be rewarded for spamming knockback->knockdown->stun one right after another. They should have to wait and time it correctly instead of spamming them.

What needs to happen is disables need to work like GW1. Use a disable on someone who is already disabled, and it does nothing(except damage,etc). This way it promotes timing and awareness instead of spam.
