Yeah, clearing the cache didn’t do anything, it’s still the same, this is clearly a bug, ANet needs to fix this before I can’t buy some of the limited things in the Gem Store….
Seriously, I’ve been sitting here for at least 5 to 10 minutes watching the little loading circle in the center of the screen, but nothing loads….
This was happening last night as well, Gem Store, Trading Post, none of it loads….
What’s going on?
So I’m in a guild, we have the armor and weapon contracts unlocked, but the vendors for the armor and weapons say that we don’t have said contracts for them, but we do…. Is this a bug? Or am I overlooking something obvious. And before you ask, yes I am repping the guild while talking to them.
I log on several times a day. If you’re not interested in the WvW meta, and you’re not trying to catch up on stuff like alts before the next living story starts, your mileage my vary. lol
Why catch up on alts? I have three lvl 80’s and can’t seem to get my fourth up to 80 or even finish world exploration with him. I guess I am just bored of exploring the same world for the fourth time, I’ve seen the sights, they’re old news now lol :P
Since the finale of Season 1 of the Living World, I log in maybe once a week to check out the new gem store items, and then log back out. Am I the only one that has become incredibly bored of this game as of late? In the mean time I have been playing some FF X which is fun, just waiting for Season 2 to start up again I guess.
The payoff was Lion’s arch being blown up and the lesbian kiss: when you can’t write a good story, go the Hollywood blockbuster route.
They pulled a Michael Bay on Guild Wars 2
Ok I get it, the feature pack is ginormous, but when are we going to get ANY details on Season 2? Or if there’s gonna be some expansion, or anything of that sort. I like the stuff coming in the feature patch but I care more about the story of the game.
When can we, the players, expect to hear any news on Season 2?

I guess I just don’t see why I have to be the hero in everything. In a single player game this is easily done, you are one hero in the world, but in an MMO? How are they supposed to do this and have the lore stay intact? Everyone’s a hero? Everyone was the ONE hero that slayed Zhaitan? I just don’t understand what people expect. In an MMO, there always has to be those central hero/villian characters on either side, we the players are effectively glorified NPC’s that do more than stand around in town and have conversations with passerby’s, although some of us do that too.
If you want to be the big bad hero, go play some single player game but please don’t expect all the glory in an MMO setting.
Also, everyone’s griping ANet on this but other MMO’s do this too, it’s not just a “Guild Wars thing”

Here is the final Mordremoth fight in comic form.
This clearly isn’t just me pasting pictures and text over an old comic of Zhaitan that I made weeks ago.
Edit: The original – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/escape/Treahearne-where-is-he/first#post3672837
Ummmmm, yeah was kinda funny until you got to Treahearne. I don’t get why everyone says he took credit for everything, during the epilogue bit after you kill Zhaitan, he CLEARLY states that he wish he could’ve been there to see Zhaitan finally be defeated, he never once took credit for killing the dragon. All he did was cleanse Orr. Pay more attention to the story before going and making empty accusations about things that didn’t actually happen.
I love this thread Konig mainly because you have pointed out the main reason I hate this game currently.
All if not most of the “lore” we got about Scarlet’s motives is dependent on the player base speculation, it’s not about fact. Look at Guild Wars 1, Prophecies, in that story we learned exactly why the Lich did what he did, and then later in Nightfall we got some more depth to it learning that Abbadon was behind that whole thing. But still, we got an open and close story in Prophecies alone. Yet here we are with Scarlet, big ol’ unfinished story a year in the making and all we have to go off of is…. speculation and assumptions.
I am totally with Konig here, until they definitively mention in game some things about Scarlet, you can’t just assume that what you “think” happened is lore, cause it’s not, this is not how the game can continue lore wise. ANet needs to start giving some answers and solid lore, not just speculation upon more speculation.
I have always thought that the POI’s were pretty pointless anyways, I mean yeah they mark important areas of note, but why are they important? How are we supposed to know? I remember when I first got a POI discovered in the beta weekend and I thought, “Oh, this game must have something like SWTOR where it unlocks some lore entry and we can read about that area of the map!” But after searching through the menu’s I realized that this was not existent…..
I really think that they should have a Tome tab in your inventory, like the “My Story” tab, and it lists the regions, zones and areas, and then lists the POI’s and when you click on one, you get a little screenshot up top of the POI and then some text below it explaining it’s significance in the world. That would be super awesome!

Curiosity is killing me.
Yeah, me too, and if they think that curiosity is going to keep people playing, they better think again. I stopped playing Assassins Creed once I heard that Assassins Creed 3 didn’t close anything up by it’s end, and I will never play another Assassins Creed. If Guild Wars 2 keeps going down this path of mini reveals while the big stuff is just continually pushed further and further down the line then I won’t be playing Guild Wars 2 for much longer, I will find a different game to meet my story needs. I don’t play Guild Wars 2 for it’s gameplay, I play it cause Guild Wars 1 had an amazing story and I was hoping it would carry over to the second game…. It’s had it’s moments but this finale is just unacceptable in it’s current form, the epilogue COULD fix everything.
Did you not notice that we will have to deal with a new Elder Dragon soon?
Why are people so excited about an Elder Dragon??? Do you all remember how absolutely boring Zhaitan’s story and fight was? It was terribly written and I don’t see how just because there was a cutscene that revealed a new Elder Dragon that that’s magically going to transform the story of this Living World into amazing story. Fact is, the Personal Story was mediocre, as was Season 1 of the Living World, we could’ve had an amazing ending but we didn’t, we got more mediocrity.
What in the world makes any of you think that Season 2 of the Living World is going to be any better than what has already been released by ANet story wise.
Mordy is going to be another bland Dragon with bland minions and we will get all sorts of questions raised about Mordy but will likely never get any answers as we didn’t get any answers about Scarlet.
New Elder Dragon =/= amazing content

Well here’s my thought process. If we had destroyed the Breachmaker in this last patch when you went up into the instance then when you ported out it would be odd to see it once again in the sky drilling away, right?
So the only way we could’ve done anything final with the Breachmaker would only be if it was like when the Tower of Nightmares first appeared, as in when we first ported into LA when the final patch hit, we just got an instance, faced Scarlet and then stopped the Breachmaker, but then ANet couldn’t get their epic pre event leading up to the Breachmaker that way.
So maybe they did hold back some content till after Scarlet died and we will see it all come nicely to a close during the Epilogue?
One can hope at least….
Music was arguably the best part of the finale…. unfortunately….

I know right? My guess is there gonna make like the Tower of Nightmares and blow it all up Michael Bay style, I mean why not? Their story for the finale has really gone the way of a Michael Bay film anyway, sacrifice great storytelling for great special effects.
I just really hope they pull this all together and deliver something amazing for the epilogue. I really really really hope so, I am such a die hard fan of Guild Wars 2 and I keep wanting to love this game for everything it is but sometimes I just feel like I’m that kid who’s deadbeat dad calls up after 10 years of being out of my life and says, “Hey son, we’re gonna spend this weekend together.” And then never shows up…..

Just saying, we got all this awesome build up to this finale, and this last update was among the smallest not only content wise but STORY WISE! So yeah, just saying, this epilogue on the 18th, I expect great things from it. I mean we still have that Breachmaker sitting there without it’s master (Scarlet) and maybe we go in during the epilogue to shut it down and glean even more insight to Scarlet while we are in there?
If not, if the epilogue is nothing more than the “Biconics” just chit chatting about, “Wow that was a tough battle, we barely made it out of there alive, wonder what that roaring was in the distance.” Then I, among many others will be severely disappointed and it will become VERY evident that there was very little direction to the story to begin with and that at the end you tried to patch it all together and it just didn’t really work.
Please appease all of our fears, deliver some amazing conclusions to things and wrap up some BIG points that you have still left wide open. We the players deserve some sort of conclusion, don’t make this game be like the Assassins Creed series where nothing ever gets wrapped up story wise, all it does is bring up more questions and strings us players along into the next game where we once again get little to no answers but rather just more questions.
Your writers at ANet did an amazing job with GW1, please restore the faith of some of us players by getting the Epilogue done right on the 18th.
Now, before I start, I just want to state that this is NOT a thread intended for remarks that are against the inclusion of homosexual relationships in Guild Wars 2, there are enough threads already in existence for that, here are some links if you want to express that kind of opinion:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/lore/lore/Another-lesbian-relationship
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/lwd/More-NPC-s-having-heterosexual-relationships
This is a thread simply thanking ANet for including a relationship like Kasmeer and Marjory’s, so here goes…
Let me begin by saying that I am a gay man and I am not against any sort of heterosexual relationships in this or any other game, but through the years I have certainly gotten used to pretty much every single relationship in a game to be heterosexual, that’s just kind of the way it is. Gays are a minority and so why cater to us? That’s just a reality of life, and I have learned to accept it over time.
I have been playing Guild Wars 2 since launch and yeah there was the whole Caithe and Faolain but that never was anything major, just more like a couple of lines of dialogue. But with Kasmeer and Marjory, well, that was such a breath of fresh air. I remember some of the first dialogues between Kas and Jory and I thought to myself, “Could it be? Are they in love???” And when it all culminated with the kiss on Scarlets Breachmaker, I’ll admit, it brought a tear to my eye, it was quite beautiful.
So this thread, ANet, is to thank you for including this kind of story within your game, and not just as a couple of lines of dialogue, but as a main story. It really means a lot to me, and probably many other gay gamers out there that play games with nothing but heterosexual relationships. Once again, not that I, or any other gay gamers out there have anything against heterosexual relationships in games, but we just aren’t really used to seeing such a prominent gay relationship at the forefront of the story, it’s refreshing, and for once I don’t feel like I’ve been forgotten or brushed under the rug.
So often in life, I feel like people tolerate me, but don’t really want to see me do anything gay, like kiss my boyfriend, or hold hands with him, or things like that, and to see Kas and Jory do things like that and NO ONE bats an eye, NO ONE thinks twice, NO ONE questions who they. It’s quite beautiful. I sometimes wish that this world was a little more like Tyria, where love is love and people are who they are and no one judges them for loving another person.
Well done ANet, keep up the good work!
I really wish that ANet would just shut down these topics, because it all comes down to this, the creator of this topic doesn’t like gay people, or maybe they “don’t mind” gay people but they “don’t want to see it”….. The year is 2014, get over yourselves. When, if ever, have you seen a homosexual relationship as a main relationship in ANY game?? All these homophobes on here need to step back and take a look at the bigger picture. Here’s a good example actually, back when SWOTOR launched and you could ONLY have heterosexual relationships with your companions, how many straight people complained then about the exclusion of homosexual relationships? None, that’s right folks, none. So please ANet shut down this topic, I implore you, because this topic was created by ignorance and is being perpetuated by it.
So, with the awakening of Mordremoth, I was really excited at first for the 2nd Season of the Living World, which may take us into the depths of Maguuma, but the more I thought about it, the more I doubted this entire current structure of the Living World, especially if Season 2 is gonna lead up to a possible fight with Mordremoth….
Lemme explain my concerns. So we have the Personal Story missions currently in game, which just focus on Zhaitan’s story, and then after that we have the Living World, which I always kinda thought would be a nice filler between Dragons, which it kinda seems to have done. But if the entire lead up to Mordremoth’s fight is just going to be through Living World updates, then will our alts, or friends that decide to play the game later never be able to replay the story that leads up to Mordremoth’s eventual death?
Or will ANet, through the Living World, add new Personal Story missions to the game, since the Personal Story seems to pretty much do with the Dragons themselves, and that way would give everyone a chance to replay the story leading up to the Dragon?
I really hope that as soon as the story focuses back on the Dragons that we get new Personal Story missions, to have the entire lead up to Mordremoth be just through temp Living World content, that would be an enormous let down. I already have a hard enough time convincing my friends to play this game, their response is always, “I don’t know what’s going on with the story since I can’t replay the content” (referring to the Living World stuff) I feel that Dragon stuffs would always be handled via Expansions, giving us a whole new chapter to the Personal Story, but how will they handle Personal Story via the Living World?
So does anyone else share my concern? Or am I just alone here? I haven’t really seen this being brought up but I think it’s definitely something to think about and let ANet know how we feel before they get too far into development of Season 2.
Everyone Lost Connection To Server...
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: webtoehobbit.4201
So yeah, the Prime Hologram splits up correctly, but during the Ultraviolet Hologram, right before it charged it’s main beam attack, everyone lost connection to the server, we logged back in and we were all ported back to the ground of Lions Arch.
This is getting rediculous, ALL day I’ve been trying to kill Scarlet, experience this epic conclusion but you keep patching it and you just break something else. FIX THIS NOW! FIX IT ALL AND PLEASE LET US FINISH THIS!
Have been playing this game since launch, since the Living World began, got home from work and for the last two hours I have been so excited to finally finish this up, see what all these big reveals are, and between the crashing and the bugged bosses, I cannot get to the end of this thing, I am literally in limbo here waiting for bugs to be fixed so that I can actually play this finale. I am so utterly disappointed, I had such high hopes and well, I don’t know, I need to just walk away from this all for a while. :’(
From regular bags…. I knew that, but 1 Dragonite Ore every 50 bags isn’t gonna get me to 500 Dragonite Ore anytime soon. I really wish that ANet would get the reward priorities set straight, I mean, give us 20 heirlooms for getting 1,200 citizens, then people would ALWAYS get 1,200 citizens, but no, lets just have them spread across the city and let people NOT contribute at all to the point of the event (saving citizens) and just let them farm this stuff………….
How the heck am I supposed to get enough Dragonite Ore to get a Vision Crystal for the Spinal Blades backpiece when no one is doing world bosses cause they’re just doing LA? And before you tell me, “LA gives you Dragonite Ore” yeah, not much anymore cause all people do is farm Heirlooms, which doesn’t get us to 1,200…… So do I have to wait till Season 1 of the Living World is over to get the Dragonite cause people keep farming for that ugly halo?
The question was why isn’t she with the rest of the group who “did their part” in the NEXT release, I know where she is currently, but what do you guys think happens to her in the NEXT release? Since she doesn’t seem to be present among the rest of the biconics…
So in the new Living World Atlas, there are some things you can click on in Lions Arch for the new update Battle For Lions Arch, and one of the pictures has Marjory, Kasmeer, Braham and Rox, and the caption says that they all “did their part” but Taimi isn’t in the picture with them…. Does this mean she dies? Is she a traitor? She does talk fondly of Scarlet quite often….
So, thoughts?
Let’s just hope they get the flock out of there.
Brilliant
Why doesn’t Kiel just show the Captains Council the trailer for Escape From Lions Arch? Surely then they’d beef up their defenses!
I wish that ANet would just come out and say, “Hey, we can’t really get these top notch voice actors that we got to voice Destiny’s Edge back to do voice acting for every Living World update.”
That would be the best answer they can give, instead of these, as Aaron said, mixed messages.
That or ANet needs to release an official timeline, like what they did for what happened in between GW1 and GW2.
I do think though, that there should be some instanced historical view of Lions Arch, like, as somebody suggested in another thread, the Zephyr Sanctum model, but like, an explorable version? I don’t know how you’d explain an item like that, unless an Asura invented it, or maybe through the mists like you said, either way, I’m gonna miss Lions Arch :’(
But how can the Living World be after the Personal Story according to this dev post in the lesbian relationship thread of the lore and story portion of the board?
Rox, Braham, Marjory, Kasmeer, and Taimi are referred to internally as “B-Iconics” (or Biconics) as opposed to our “A-Iconics” or main iconic characters, Caithe, Rytlock, Eir, Zojja, and Logan. They are not a “replacement” for Destiny’s Edge; these characters fulfill a different role in the story. Because members of Destiny’s Edge are so entwined with your Personal Story as well as the over-arching story with Zhaitan, and because the Living World plot lines are taking place at the same time all those other story threads, we couldn’t have the members of Destiny’s Edge splitting themselves between these other areas and what was going on with Living World. This is partly why we introduced these new characters.
This dev states that they take place…. at the same time.
I don’t see it being destroyed permanently, because it would undo the whole point of creating the festivals. Last year many players were very vocal (1,2,3) about the Living Story having a disproportionate amount of story telling to festivals and other distractions. Arena Net’s response to this was:
“We still want to have some content that can happen each year, our holiday festivals, Super Adventure Box, Zephyr Sanctum, and the new Queens Gauntlet are all intended to be content that will regularly return. The goal of having these in our portfolio of event content that can occur again each year is they allow us the opportunity to easily build on something we’ve already completed as themes for some of our releases for year 2.
We wanted to get to the end of the first year of Gw2 with a decent amount of these events that can happen each year in our pocket, to allow our second year a lot more opportunities to lean on these while we focus on much larger projects we’ve been working on in the background." 4
Since the holiday festivals are integral to Arena Net’s plan of having cyclical content to fall back on to give themselves more development time on the non-cyclical Living Story releases, I don’t see Lion’s Arch leaving forever. They’d have to abandon some of the events and most of the art assets at the very least. At most it will stay claimed until Dragon Bash if I’m correct.
I suppose one alternative is to have Lion’s Arch festivals in the Mists, where we as players can visit the Lion’s Arch of old for festivals; but Arena Net has been hesitant to add multiple copies of zones as it can fragment the player base. Though I’d be happy if they chose this route. as I think it’d make it a much more Living World if we could lose Lion’s Arch forever. However, I can understand why they wouldn’t do it considering all the effort they went into designing new art assets and some events for the various festivals.
1 – For a world ravaged by dragons
2 – Please no more festivals!!!
3 – I don’t like this update
4 – Colin on temporary content
Festivals in the mists? OK, I have heard this whole, “Lions Arch can’t be destroyed cause the festivals!” more than a few times but really, during the festivals, how many of the mini events that you partake in actually took place in Lions Arch? ALL of them teleported you to another realm or area to do the events. It’s really not all that tough to take the decorations that they’ve made for the events and end up decorating Divinity’s reach or some other capital city and have you teleport to the instanced event areas as was how it was done in Lions Arch.
Saying they can’t destroy Lions Arch due to the festivals is like saying they can’t destroy Lions Arch cause of the Asura Gates there, but even those are getting moved. Lions Arch is going to be destroyed permanently, but I guess you’ll just have to see it before you will believe it.
Nothing in the “evidence” you provided suggested that the festivals HAD to take place in Lions Arch, everything about the festivals from day one has been instanced. They probably have a good reason for doing this since they knew that they would eventually be destroying Lions Arch.
(edited by webtoehobbit.4201)
I think Lions Arch is going to be reduced to a pile of rubble after reading the Massively article on the next update lol. They are moving all the important parts of the city to the Vigil Keep and making the story instances that take place in Lions Arch available through a different way, so yeah, seems like Lions Arch is going to get destroyed…..
I am both extremely excited that a game is willing to go this far, and also sad to see the city I spent so much time in go….
I like the thought put into your theory, do I think it’s 100% accurate? No. But you touched on a lot of interesting things, and one particular thing you brought up, about Abaddons volume saying “What passed beyond in the Mists, only you remember” really kind of piqued my interest. I had never read that before so that was new to me, and maybe you’re onto something there
I too don’t believe that she is being influenced by an Elder Dragon, and if that’s the case, I think my eyeballs will pop out of my head from all the eye rolling that I will be doing…..
The thing about the scenario of an Elder Dragon being behind her, it’s just TOO predictable, everyone and their mother have said it will happen, and it would be a huge letdown story wise for it to just end up being that. I believe, like the OP that something else is at play here, and probably something we’ve never seen before, unless it’s the Mursaat.
But it all really comes down to this one tidbit of info we gained from this latest Living World update, and that’s what Vorpp said about Omadd’s machine that Scarlet used to enter the “Eternal Alchemy” Basically what Vorpp said was that the machine didn’t expand her mind per se, but rather looked into her mind, and opened doors that were closed, and that whatever she saw or encountered in the “Eternal Alchemy” was brought in by her own mind. And that whatever contacted her had been carefully walled off in her mind, as if to protect her from it.
So it comes down to this I suppose, either all Sylvari have this piece of their mind from exiting the Dream that is walled off for their own protection, or something possessed Scarlet and…. carefully walled itself off? Why would an entity that took possession of someone wall itself off until the individual it possessed entered a machine that broke down the very wall that itself put up?…… Yeah, so it’s definitely option A: All Sylvari have this in their mind.
And having concluded that, it makes me believe that maybe we will be seeing Mordremoth….. Ugh, that would be some lame and cliche it’s not even funny.
Anyway, I still don’t think that it’s gonna be an Elder Dragon (really really hope it’s not going to be) and if it does end up being an Elder Dragon, than it will pretty much prove that ANet can’t tell a good story and just goes for a big BANG over a quality story (Not unlike Michael Bay)
Please ANet, don’t pull a Michael Bay move on this story….
Crystal Desert is too, my whole guild is talking bout how everyone is lagging, it’s so terrible, what is going on?
So Scarlet has been forming alliances, traveling the world, but why? This theory I present to you chills me to the bone….
I believe that with every alliance she’s formed, every place she’s visited, she’s been gathering things, but what things you might ask? Ingredients. And now she’s headed to the Mists in this next patch to gather the final ingredient to create the most delicious, soft, and Tyrias very first red licorice and she will market these tasty yet unhealthy morsels as……
RED VINES!!!! :-O
The red vines around the Pale Tree….. Her changing her name to Scarlet Briar (which loosely translates into Red Vine) It all makes sense now! And the Pale Trees warning about her being dangerous with the knowledge she gained from her time in the Eternal Alchemy….
If Scarlet is allowed to unleash this horror onto the citizens of Tyria, they will all become too fat to fight the Elder Dragons!!!!! Such a nefarious twig that Scarlet is!
Still Bruno, the fractal of Abaddon would’ve happened in the Mists…. can’t deny that, so if the devs were gonna have us experience the fall of ABADDON in the Mists, it kinda is canon cause it would’ve happened, they had no qualms about putting that into the game.
Tell me Eluveitie, how does a God in Tyria die? Besides, in the mists, we would’ve been able to face Abaddon! So how is it impossible that some form, like a past form, wouldn’t be able to be in the Mists and affect Scarlet when she peered into the Mists??
Well of course the Jungle Dragon lives in the Maguuma Jungle, but the Maguuma Jungle (if you will look) is on the opposite side of the continent of the Wurms. Saying that the Wurms are part of Mordie (now, we don’t even know if Mordremoth is in fact the Jungle Dragon, we just know a name but never once has ANet referred to the “Jungle Dragon” as “Mordremoth” maybe Mordremoth is the name of a Dragon Champion, maybe Mordremoth is the name of the other Tree that Malyck came from, anyway, I digress….) But saying that the Wurms are part of Mordie is like saying that every single plant life and wurm in THE ENTIRETY OF TYRIA is part of Mordie….. People, you are just grasping for every little thing, look how desperate you are for Dragons? And then calm down and look at things rationally. Please
With this new trailer about her going into the mists? She’s after some sort of entity and wanting to confront it, why a random patch that just puts us into some little side story in the Mists?? She’s clearly chasing whatever this entity is and maybe it’s in the Mists somewhere. Calling it now, she’s after Abbadon, whatever remains of him :-P
That or I guess you guys could argue that there’s a Mist Elder Dragon hahahaha
Mordie is coming and three wurms are his tails
Primortus will come from mount maelstrom Volcanoes are already easy paths to the surface which devours use. I think he is quite happy harnessing energy from the core of the planet
I don’t understand why people are saying this, the Wurms are a PERMANENT boss….. If it was the tail of Mordremoth, then once we kill Mordremoth wouldn’t the Wurms go away too? But oh wait, they’re PERMANENT CONTENT! The Wurms are just coming to the surface cause of the probes constant pounding, they are not Champions of Mordremoth nor are they part of Mordremoth itself.
I swear, people are going Dragon crazy up in here!!!
Still sticking with my belief that people will see whatever they want to in random red squiggles on a cave wall….
I’m still calling it here, not gonna be an Elder Dragon, would be cool, but just too obvious of a teaser for ANet. I mean they know we all WANT an Elder Dragon, what better way to totally slip something new under us by a mysterious painting on the ceiling that may possibly resemble an Elder Dragon. With everyone wanting an Elder Dragon, that’s what everyone is going to see, when in fact, it may not be what we think it is.
I mean, it just seems to obvious, the “Dragon” painting, the “voice from the forest” the Priory chick saying that she might have something to do with Dragons….. But, here’s what I was wondering the other day, why in the world would she see an Elder Dragon in the mists?? I mean, is that where they reside? I thought they were in our world. The Gods retreated into the mists, is this something of their doing? Or do Elder Dragons extend themselves into the mists???
Not a head…. why reuse part of the “art asset” when the rest of it is original, and why use part of the head/jaw if you were gonna reuse any part of it?
Here’s my prediction, whatever is driving Scarlet mad is not an Elder Dragon, but ANet wants us to think it is, then BAM when the big reveal happens, it isn’t an Elder Dragon and joke’s on us lol. They even said that they wanted this to be like Game of Thrones, where you keep guessing till the end and then BAM not something you see coming. We will see though.
All I have been hearing about this “Dragon” painting in Scarlets Lair is that it’s Primordus, but does no one notice the second head on this creature? There is the big prominent one, then a second one lower on the “body” I took a picture that someone used to circle, idk what exactly in red, and I circled in yellow the two distinct heads. I have heard a few people mentioning this fact in various threads but no one ever follows up with this. So here I am making a thread specifically to draw attention to the fact that there are TWO heads on this creature, not one. I am pretty sure Primordus only has one head….
Maybe this thing that she has painted isn’t even an Elder Dragon, maybe it’s some new creature we’ve never heard of?
So you’re suggesting that Ceara is being invaded by a sentient Scarlet Briar? Thus resulting in the name change.
That could be interesting. The description of the red vine had always reminded me of the Pale Tree’s Circle in the Grove, but red instead of white. Maybe what’s taken over Ceara – perhaps even what’s causing the nightmare – is a “second Pale Tree” which is just inherently evil for some reason (as opposed to being good like the Pale Tree). That would be interesting… a pale tree trying to take over another’s sylvari via utilizing the Dream. Though the Dream doesn’t seem innately tied to all such trees so it may not be Malyck’s tree if so.
I just had a random thought. Now I know you have said in the past Konig, as it’s a part of lore, that the Sylvari are immune to Dragon Corruption. But what if Mordremoth is able to corrupt through the Dream? I mean, lets go back and remember that starting mission when you play a Sylvari, what did we fight? A jungle dragon…. Maybe Sylvari that are already awakened cannot be corrupted, but reading Scarlet’s journal entries, seems like something was attached to her upon her awakening. I mean according to the “What Scarlet Saw” story, she came right out of the tree a little off. Maybe Mordremoth is gaining strength as he awakens and the stronger he is the more influence he has over the Dream? And maybe Scarlet is just the first one that he got through to? I don’t know, just a random thought I had.
Hey, ANet has been detailing to specific people from various game magazines, and gaming sites about what is going to happen in the next few updates, and the general consensus is that there is reason to be hyped. This finale will very much change Tyria in a big way. I am so excited :-D
I think that Scarlet is really just a new model of asura golems built by none other than…… SNAFF! It’s revealed that he never died! :-O And all of these armies, Aetherblades, Molten Alliance, Toxic Alliance are all for the single purpose of killing Logan!!!!! Snaff is angry, Snaff is very angry that Logan just left him to die, time for Snaff’s revenge!!!!!!!!!!!
