Hmmm.. I like this idea. Giving some new cultural armor for each race makes a lot more sense than all wearing the same clothing. +1 For this idea, I like it.

Hopefully if there is, we get a decent reward from it instead of a chance for a reward.

An avatar would be cool, so long as we don’t have people with inappropriate pictures. If that came to pass, I would suggest maybe making the avatars our characters. Think about it; when you go into parties in game, your character’s face is placed in a certain way. Maybe it could be linked to the forums and made your pic (you can choose which character of yours shows). But all of that is if inappropriate pictures are an issue.

They’ll put skins in chests and make you buy keys if you want them. Other than that, it’ll be fine

If I had to give the thief another weapon, It’d be a rifle. But the thief is fine for now with it’s weapons. They all fit the class fine.

Please, sir, reread what I wrote. Legendaries are a reward meant to be rewarded through hardwork. If you want to have a shiny blade in your hand, work for it like everyone else. I’m currently working on mine, still a ways to go, but again. Earn the cosmetics. Also a flaw in your idea, not everyone likes Fractals. I know I haven’t and probably won’t ever touch it. Large number of negatives towards it from the community.

And have that cost 500 gold? Nty, I can’t even afford t2 armor. Though that’s me personally, only the 1% rich can afford t3 armor. I don’t think putting it in would be good for anything, as they would have to make it really expensive.

I’d rather they give them a normal melee weapon besides wrench.

I would accept to this concept minus the lose after 1 week. Perhaps, make these randomly spawn and scale to your level, giving a chance to get a good weapon; and making it random for each player. For example: 95 “Normal” chests, 4 “Splendid Chests”, 1 “Golden Chest”. The chance for better gear increases with the next level of chest, but the items you can get out of them remain the same. OFC, I would recommend these be hidden in the most discrete places, that way they’re not easy to find and abusable.

Agreed. I want to be exposed to the story of the dungeons as they tell a tale of another side to the personal stories of your characters and the NPCs. I refuse to just watch them on YouTube, as I feel it should experienced rather than just watched with no interaction at all. I mean, you don’t get rewarded in story as much as you do in explorable (which sometimes doesn’t get you anything good other than tokens), so it’s not like it would be a way to farm or anything. Rarely anyone wants to play story mode anymore due to explorable being much more desired due to armors.

Bow doesn’t seem we’ll fit for guardian. Guardians are supposed to stay in the thick of battle, not stay a good distance away (even with scepter and staff, you can only be so far away.). I don’t think having a long ranged weapon on a very-durable guardian will work, unless most skills just shoot symbols on the ground for buffs only

I say during the holiday event when it goes to Lion’s Arch (toy maker goes to cities first) Jormag will storm the city and we will have to fight him (dungeon style, that way it’s not a one time event, like the Lost Shore event

Look, since you’re not understanding what anyone here is trying to say, I’ll explain it simply:
There is nothing wrong with this game with the exceptions of bugs and some debated issues like engineer kits. You keep saying that you are screwing other players out because of idiots… First off, you’re no better for insulting them and calling them idiots, regardless of whether or not it’s true. Second off, I see no one else complaining about this except you. So stop making it seem like there is a majority on your side. WvWvW is a war game mode, you don’t know who you’re enemies are in war.

Second: Gw2 close to not being an MMO? Not even going to argue this point, look at the game with your eyes open next time.

Third: Forts – You forget that WvWvW is a war zone. A time limit of not being able to retake it? No. It offers the other team to strike and retake the fort while it’s still damaged from the previous battle. It’s a war game, not a PvP match, you’re not supposed to get time to hold it unless you defend it.

Tl;dr? Your ideas are not favorable to the community, and your attitude is horrible. You’re whining will not be heard by Anet. You aren’t worth their time.

Better question is that are we going to be able to get the skins without buying 10000 keys and chests?

Allow me to enlighten you on something; ArenaNet is the company, and this is their game. They can do whatever they please, and don’t have to listen to anyone. It just so happens that this game developer has nice employees who care about what the players want, and do their best to provide a the best experience for ALL PLAYERS. You are one of the thousands of people who play this game. Who do you think you are, demanding your ideas to be put into the game, thinking your word is more important than everyone elses’? Lol EU protecting your rights… when you bought this game you agreed to everything ArenaNet has stated in their ToS, therefore putting you into a contract of sorts as long as you play the game; besides, you actually think the government cares about your say over your “fixes” to a video game? Highly doubt it, get over yourself. I hope ArenaNet closes this thread due to a lack of proper discussion. Next time try posting something your willing to discuss, not demand. The dev team works hard, and they don’t need this nonsense.

Hello to all who are reading this topic. I am currently looking to join a guild on the Northern Shiverpeaks server. I don’t usually do this sort of thing; sending out messages to join a guild, so I’ll try to word this the best that I can. I am looking for a guild that is:

1. Friendly – Now, sure, anyone can say they have a friendly guild. But when I log on to the game, and open up the guild chat, I would like to be able to say "Hi [insert name here], like the back of my hand. Being able to log on and have conversations with some decent folk is a nice quality to have, respect points for those who actually do.

2. WvWvW/ sPvP? Sure, but not too competitive. – I never really play sPvP or WvWvW often because a) I always lack a group, b) I’m not the best at fight against players. If you follow the basic fundamentals of playing a game (that is actually having fun while making progress), then I’m all for it.

3. Overall – Let’s just have a kitten good time. Whether it be a dungeon, a massive guild raid in WvWvW, a dungeon, etc., let’s kick some rear ends, but let’s have fun while doing it. That goes back to 1 and 2, let’s enjoy the game to the fullest while playing our best.

I can tell you now, I’m not Guild Wars 2’s player of the year; I’m not the best, but I know the game well enough to hold my own, level up, have a good time, etc. I like to make a lot of characters to try them out (I currently have a level 80 ele, level 70 warrior [both of which are dirt poor], and a level… 16 engineer I started the other day and love
to death. If you use Teamspeak, skype, etc., Idc, but I would have to get comfortable around you first (I’m not the best at social skills either, I’m rather reserved when it comes to meeting new people). However, I am looking to meet new people I know I can always rely on to spend some game time on.

What I can offer if I join:
I am on often, so I can participate in pretty much everything, whether it be gaining influence or just joshing around for the day. Hope to see some good faces around here, and thanks for reading this somewhat long post, I just like to make my main points clear.

All this “You shall” stuff is a bit childish. You must remember that you are 1 person with 1 opinion. Instead of demanding “fixes” (I use the term lightly), you should be “suggesting” these. The attitude set in the OP is a poor one.

Agreed, area loot is a good idea

There would be lots of achievements being spammed in the chat box from this I would think… And not to mention that most of the game’s players don’t really care if you achieve something.

Traveler (backpack items), Alchemist (potions, act the same way food does),

Mace, not sure of, but a hammer makes sense.

Tengu or Koda seem to be a likely playable race, as they are the only 2 in Guild Wars 2 who possess enough intelligence to have a story as such. Skritt and Hylek seem highly unlikely. I would definitely play Koda for sure

Hello, this is my input for how the Holiday skins should be managed for the purposes of equality and fairness in regards to skins over the past two events.

To start off with, the Holiday Events will continue as normal; I assume there will be an a scavenger hunt along with other things. For each major event/part of the Holiday Event, you earn something along the concept of “Holidays Points”, or respect for helping, etc. The more you do during the event, the more of these points/respect you earn from the NPCs. During and after the event, a “Holiday Vendor” will be available, and depending on what events you did and how many of these points you have, will allow you to obtain skins for free;

Note, when I mean points, I don’t mean spendable points. Think of it like the HoM points from Gw1; depending on how many points you have, depends on what items you get; and you can get them indefinitely for any amount at any time

This system will work because of the following:
a) It will remove the issue of casual/poor players from not being able to obtain these items and purchasing them through high amounts of money; the minority are people too
b) It will give players more incentive to do the event, as they actually earn more for participating
c) Having access to these skins you’ve earned any time through a special vendor in cities will allow you to always show that you were there for that event, and you have something collectible you like as a result
– c.a) From the event, ofc, you will get a special item such as Mad Memories; this will not be able to be transferred to other characters, so having the vendor allows you to share your skins later on with other characters you make in the future

I would like to hear some opinions on this matter. I think it would be an excellent idea that way total fairness it achieved, and players actually get something worthwhile from their achievements, and can always show it.

Hey, I noticed when you look at a picture someone posted as an attachment, go back to the previous page, and then try to backpage again, it just refreshes the post you were viewing; this is what happens to me:

Open a topic where someone has a picture as an attachment. Click on the picture to view it. Go back a page to where you just were. When you go back again, it refreshes the current page instead.

I am currently using Firefox as a web browser, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

How about engineers can make a legendary back piece that changes the skins of all the kits to something cooler? More detailed flamethrower, grenades with small rainbow trail fx, etc. Just a thought

This Engineer dreamt of the Nightmare court; he saw their evils, and how they planned to steer young sylvari away from the teachings of Ventari. No normal force can stop the court though; as he saw the battles between the dreamers and courtesans, he saw himself; in full armor, and a weapon he could not identify. Somehow, he knew that this weapon could not be found not created by any normal circumstances. This weapon, would serve him in the efforts to finally put an end the volatile Nightmare Court. He awoke. Gazing forward into the sunrise, he knew his what his wild hunt would be. He would travel the world, learning the techniques of the Engineer, building and constructing weapons, for the sake of protecting the Dream. He will return one day, when he has forged his mighty weapon, and lead the sylvari of Ventari’s teachings to victory over the Nightmare Court.

I somewhat agree; the problem with this is that if the highest rated suggestions are at the top, how will any new ideas be seen? Other than that I like the idea; Make it easier and clearer to the devs what the community supports/disapproves of.

This happens similarly in the human starting storyline; when the seraph soldier comes when talking to the sargeant, she is bald and missing her helm, which was there before the last or 2nd to last update.

I do see the point you’re making; however, you have to remember teleporting across Tyria for free the first time in a set period of time, doesn’t fit in my terms of logic. Pick a point to go to with buddies and then just have fun. The game isn’t about teleporting from point a to point b constantly; you spend most of your time running around, doing events and hearts. And again as for the debuff, it’s not needed; remember, let’s say that you’re a decent level, and you’re teleporting around 10-20 in 5 mins, you’ve lost around 20 silver in that short period of time. That is your punishment there. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you’re stating your opinion, I’m just offering my $0.02

-1. Waypoints are fine IMO, the amount of money you spend on a waypoint is nothing compared to the amount of money you should have at your current level (be wise how you spend your money good sir)

I full support this; OP, you are a genious. Anet would be foolish not to implement this into the game. Saving skins while not losing bank slots is a totally reasonable request. ArenaNet, please keep your eyes on this thread; you’ve got a good idea in the works.

Do not, under any circumstance make weapon/armor skins available in chests. Make them rewards for actually doing the event.

My say on this is no; the only thing that I would budge on this topic for is if the mounts were to be used in the race homelands as a cosmetic item (like town clothes). IMO mounts have no place here game mechanics-wise. Just my two cents, feel free to disagree.

No support from me here. Magic Find, like all other stats, is a stat that you choose to equip yourself with. Some people prefer to use it so they find better loot for themselves, which is perfectly fine. Sure, it may be annoying to you if they’re wearing it during a dungeon or something, but just because you don’t want others to be using it since it hampers performance, doesn’t mean it should be removed for the others who do want to use it. As Blueshield stated, restricting player’s gear choices isn’t the solution to this dilemma; there is no rule saying a player can’t use Magic Find, so if you don’t like it, you’ll just have to deal with it.

Hey, I’d thought I would post this to point this out; don’t you find it a bit weird that the centaurs aren’t a primary enemy in the beginning personal story? I mean, through renown hearts, dynamic events, and random NPC chatter, the human war with the centaurs seems like a big deal; but they are hardly involved at all, except when you select the option that you never found your sister’s body, in which they are still not the primary enemy. I would think that if the Human race is in a war, you would at least have a personal story option that would be something along the lines of taking down the centaur forces.

The current story lines are good and I have no problem with them, but I just found this a tad bit odd. What do you think about it?
