Get the Orrian Light Mantle from the dungeon, it’s the closest you’ll get to wings, ever.

They could be a back item with stats, like the ascended gear or the event items. I think it’d be cool to have cases.

Not sure how it would work here, but hell. I’d never use it, but if the rest of the community desires it, who am I to say no.

Christmas, not Wintersday. It seemed as though Rudolph was playing gw2 before his stressful job, got sucked into the game with some loose magic, and was killed. Don’t worry, I’m sure the Dev Team can just bring him back.

Checked Disks, Checked HD (I think). I managed to run a program called fur mark for about… 5hrs and no crash, only during game.

No idea if that program does anything with RAM

Hey, I’ve been getting BSODs when playing gw2, I’ll leave a picture I took of my screen here, hope someone can help. (Happens when I play any game)

Don’t like it, it people who want to play with friends and don’t have the same # fractals completed are separated. In general, this just separates people. I’m sure there are those who play fractals everyday and still aren’t good at it. Just bring your friends in next time, so you know you’re playing with good people.

I really see no issue with this; it’s not like this would be the first thing in GW2 that is soloable. Personal Story is 99% single, with the option to play alone or with friends, and with the exception of Zhaitan. There are people who play the game just for that. And some of you think that making the 5 existing dungeons have a solo option will be something that breaks the feeling of it being multiplayer? The people who want to play solo already do, so why not allow people who may want to do a dungeon solo do it?

Agreed. I find it silly to have to keep equipping my mini pet everytime I enter a new zone or such.

I personally prefer not to have mounts. I don’t find it fitting as a game mechanic for the game. I’d much rather prefer players walking/running, taking in all the landscape and feeling apart of it. Mounts would just be a way to skip past all of that. Sure you could make the speed the same and make sure it’s not OP, etc., etc., however it wouldn’t be the same feeling. Plus it would encourage players to skip DEs occurring around the map they’re in. So no mounts please! Play the game on foot, as it was designed, and how it should be.

I know that there is a rune somewhere that increases movement speed and not just speed boost duration, but I can’t remember which one.

Disagree, I like the animations for my Mesmer. A Mesmer doesn’t need to be swining around a great sword, when they can be shooting an illusion art beam from it.

Hey all, I recently made a Mesmer (tried it out a few times before, now sticking with it) and I have seen a lot of them with this particular armor set (see attachment). I was wondering if someone could tell me which it is. Gw2armorgallery simply calls it “Seer Armor” but that doesn’t show in tp

I believe that people should be given more opportunities to get the bell. The rng is ridiculous, so far have opened 500 gifts to finds it plus any I found. Items like the bell that introduce a new feature to players should be available to all. For those that say that it wouldn’t be fair to those who already sealed out the higher price: you would haves payed for it when it was high. Think of it like the game itself right now; people who bought the game first without the digital deluxe are now at a loss compared to those get it now during the holiday season, when they’re offering the dd version for the same as the normal price. Once again, the bell should be available to all. If it does become more available for all, I will feel sorry for those who payed first, but I think it would be right.

This has been suggested multiple times. My vote goes against it.

Thievery would have been completely against the bushido code that Samurai subscribe to and would likely commit seppuku if caught . Not only that but they were the equivalent of a Knight in Europe so medium armor wouldn’t exactly be a fit for Samurai armor . Not exactly the best example there .

Woman weren’t weren’t popularly fighters, even if they were they wouldn’t wear skimpy armor like we have in the game. That doesn’t fit really, yet it’s there. Technically that may be true irl, but remember, this is a gw2. Also remember it would be added as medium armor in general, not just for thieves.

I say multiple-story like dungeons that give you pieces to craft it. That way it’s fun and challenging

I agree to some degree, but there are some cool medium armor that fits thieves. Order of Whisper armor definitely fits the thief look for example. It would be cool to see something like that, however, you must remember that it is a thief class, not a ninja. There is a difference. I agree somewhat because medium armor IMO didn’t get as much attention as light or heavy. Only some armors really look good.

Is the best time to fight RNG the second you log on after waiting for a Daily Reset?

If anyone knows Runescape (haven’t played it in years) they had house parties, where everyone could just join in and have some fun in someone else’s big house. You could upgrade how big it was, earn trophies and armor to display in your house, make furniture… Which could bring up a carpenter crafting skill if in implemented. Point is, Gw2 could have something like that, but on a smaller scale. I think it would be cool to customize a place of your own.

I tried 6 times for Griffin Tonic and didn’t get it. They should have made it a permenant recipe with no chance of failure. I really wanted to be able to turn into a griffin all the time ;_;

Anet, keep doing with what you’re doing. You’re slowly adapting to the right way of handling these events perfectly. Wintersday definitely shows you hear our concerns and continue to make the game more fun and giving all the chance to get /do stuff. Thank You very much.

Hey all, yesterday I was trying out Bell Choir, trying to get the achievements for it. For some reason, I can’t seem to keep up with all the notes. I made this thread to ask for some suggestions on how to make it easier to do so I can get those achievements. I would have expected the jp to be harder, but I found it much easier.

Come on now guys. It’s the Holiday Season! Your gift from ArenaNet is coming soon, so relax a bit. No matter where you are ATM, the time in which it should have started has passed. Nothing complaining will do about it. Try finding something else to do for the time being. Do a dungeon or something, or for the EU guys, catch some shut-eye, the event is going anywhere.

Armor professions ought to have been able to make backpacks from the start, books from tailoring, quivers from leatherworking and spineguards from armorsmith.

^ I agree! There should have been recipes for those from the start so they could be crafted.

Double agreed. It’s naturally part of the armor classes, should be allowed to be crafted at the same armor intervals (I’d start at 20 or 30 and allow more from way up) Post this in the suggestions thread

As for the topic itself, yes, I believe it’s fair that rangers get to stow their pet and fight alone.

God I hope they are considerable easier. They should be at least only half the amount of stuff needed, IMO. One of my two main problems with the Halloween event (other was the chest only items).

You and me both. I still have 3k candy corns in my bank account because I’m saving them for my weapon. I would like to actually craft the weapon or get all materials through the event this time, if possible. If not, let’s just hope it’s much easier.

No, there’s no resource nodes. Something else will take the place of ad-hoc, holiday content on the go. There are new crafting recipes, but the components for those will come from the rewards gained by playing any holiday content.

Does that mean we will have to be farming the holiday dynamic events throughout the patch in order to obtain the materials? For example, let’s look at the halloween event. You need 2500+ candy corns, 75 and 25 of the other two crafting materials depending on which you wanted to craft, plus other in-game items to craft a hallowen item. If I want to collect materials to craft (let’s say you make 3 wintersday craftable weapons like halloween), will I have to do dynamic events throughout the holiday to get these materials so I can craft them in the future? I know I still have candies pending to craft halloween weapons, taking up space in my bank.

I don’t like the idea of chests at all, unless they are used in such a way: Holiday Weapon Chest, (X amount of gems here), contains 1 consumable weapon of each type of weapon. That way everyone has a chance to buy all the skins from the chests, and most likely prevent a spike in holiday item prices after the event. They should also allow chests with 1 skin or just the skins themselves drop from monsters/events. It’s all about equality and everyone getting their holiday tribute.
