I don’t like this idea at all tbh. The same way you don’t want spend money on these “expensive waypoints” (and I use that phrase lightly), why should I have to spend my hard earned karma on traveling?

I got bored yesterday and decided to try my luck at making a OoW Minecraft skin for a human and a sylvari. I think it came out ok, I’m not the best and there are limitations when designing said skin. Anyway, I thought I would post them here if you guys played MC and like them.

I have a Sylvari engineer, and I don’t think its strange at all. Engineers are explorers and seeking to expand their knowledge; engineers, lore-wise, are intelligent, like to fiddle around with things, create new inventions, etc. Sounds to me like the Sylvari exploring merely one form of study; but thats just me.

They said there are more factors involved in fixing PvE culling. It won’t be available now, but it will come; maybe in the April Patch, perhaps.

Thanks to everyone who leaved positive comments about my greatsword idea. To everyone who said there are already 3 legendary greatswrods I want to say there are 2 not 3. (Twilight and Sunrise). But I agree that it would be better to make 2 legendaries of each type before 3rd greatsword.

1.) what made you choose and stay on the server you’re on?(guilds and friends aren’t a valid reason since transfers were free for four months)

1) Friends and Guild are valid, thats nonsense
2) Nothing, I’ll go in and out at my own pace, when I want.
3) You do WvWvW because it you enjoy it. It just so happens that your gamemode benefits us. Your intention isn’t to help us, so I owe you nothing.
4) PvE is more fun for me, repair bill being less is just a plus.
5) Why would a WvWvW be impressed by my sunrise? WvWvW is for tactical and strategic pvping, not gawking over a legendary weapon.
6) Oh, I’m sure they would make a dofference. But those PvE guilds play PvE, not WvWvW, get over it. You can’t dictate how people should play. If someone wants to play WvWvW, they will. I could have a guild with 500 people, If none of us want to plsy WvWvW, they won’t; we bought the game to have fun and play it, not make you happy.

Well the problem is of course that you’d end up with people trying to min-max their magic find in order to farm more efficiently. This could have some bad results, particularly en dungeons.
But I’ve always been a strong supporter of transparency.

So, I, among many, did not play Guild Wars 1. Now, while I know its not neccessary, I’m going to play the first one, as I feel as if I’m missing any little easter eggs or inside jokes they placed in Gw2. So I was wondering while I play throught the stories, if theres anything from Gw1 I should look out for that will give me that “Aha!” moment when you get a reference. I also just want to see the story, apparently its worth the playthrough.

The bard sounds nice.

I’d really like to see a Chronomancer, however, like they were planning to implement in Gw1 and then didn’t. I think a scholar of time would be cool to implement. I’m still wondering about another heavy, as what could be done to make it unlike war and guard.

I believe you’re mistaken on how a topic works.. People are allowed to agree or disagree with your suggestion. When you make a topic thats what you’ll see; those who agree and disagree.

Couple of things:
1) This has been suggested multiple times
2) “We”. Not everyone may want it
3) Dueling is not “the most demanded feature”

While I agree with adding Dueling, you should use the search feature and waych how you word things.

This. This was hilarious when we saw it. Maybe as a class they can make a “Commando”, but more realistically, give it heavy/med armor and have it use only rifles and pistols. Sort of like a run and gun warrior type. Meh, regardless, funny as hell.

Seems pretty cool, I’d play it.

If I see an armor set I like, I will wear it regardless of how many people wear it. I couldn’t really care how others feel about what I gear myself with. CoF has a cool design and I’d wear it when I earn it. Meh.

The only thing I asked for is to allow those of us who don’t like to PvP to finish our exploration or jump puzzles in peace. I don’t care about the blueprints or the badges. I just destroy those anyway since they take up inventory space. I also don’t like taking a spot for someone that wants to PvP but has to wait because I just want to finish what amount to PvE achievements.

Besides how am I ruining someone else’s WvWvW play. There are plenty of PvP players attacking each other. Can’t those of us who just like PvE be left alone in these zones?

It doesn’t work like that though. WvWvW is a warzone, if you walk into it you are a target, and there is no way around it. You’re asking to allow players to disable PvP in a PvP map, which makes no sense. I’m sorry, but you’ll have to deal with it. Those maps are not meant for pure exploration and scenery, they’re a place for battle. You earn the right to explore the parts of the maps you need when you help to conquer those towers, keeps, etc. It causes issues for pure WvWvWers when a zerg turns on the flag, turns it off, and can storm a keep. Your flagging idea is broken, no other way around it. I’ve seen this suggestion before and others agree with me. You’ll have to put up with it. You’re better off arguing the case for a PvE instance.

Have you ever done it? More than once? It’s extremely tedious to paste/type your full build (all armour, all weapons, all accessories, all traits, all utilities). It’s equally tedious for the recipient to digest it in that form.

By implementing the idea, you’re sending a message saying its ok to be that elitist and kick people who don’t have what you want, as you are giving them tools to do it and making it quicker and easier for them to do so. Well, there is a fine line between a reference and taking something from another game. The things you listed besides Triforce would be direct copies from those games. Gw2 doesn’t really have a need for those specifically, but more costumes/town clothes in general.

I would imagine having flashy and shiny weapons in PvP would be a distraction/effects covering on the screen when playing competitively, is that not the case? Don’t play much sPvP.

When you wrote evolve, I immediatley thought of Pokemon… It would be cool, if it only affected size and appearence, no additional stats to what they have now.

That would give some classes a big advantage over others.

The point thing doesn’t really give anyone an advantage, because everyone benefits from 10 extra points.

It would be the most powerful set, meaning that if you ever wanted to do WvWvW or sPvP, you would need to wear this set in order to have the best chance at winning. Many players would feel they would have no choice but to wear this armor or everyone else will have a huge advantage over them. Not to mention this would make every other rune made pointless, as the buffs from these runes far outweigh normal runes.

This depends though, how would it make it the most powerful? Would like some real examples.

Short answer, FAR FAR FAR too OP.

Already explained by this guy. Having more trait points means more stat buffs + 2 minor/ minor + major trait. Combine the extra abilities, plus extra stat buffs, plus armor stats, andyou are far more powerful than before.

Heres an example I can think of; If you have a warrior thats a dps build, and you use these runes, he could put on Pow, Prec, Crit Damage Gear, then add his extra points into Vitality/Toughness to make him a highly survivable dps tank. A guardian could use Vitality and Toughness gear, and then do the same thing with trait points to be a godly tank.

This thread confuses me; it already is f2p, what are you trying to accomplish with this thread op?

They’re not “fine”. RNG breaks all of that, Person A can get it on the first try, Person B can get it after 1K tries, and Person C could never get it, as it is always a chance and never guaranteed. Being determined and working hard for it means nothing if the the numbers generated do not let the precursor drop. TP proces continue to rise, kicking the majority of casuals from obtaining one. Not everyone should have one, but the opportunity for a person to get one should be equal amongst all players. They can be obtained with little time or not at all, and thatisn’t righ.

I vote against this. This is very OP; having more traits in place of stats can greatly increase effectiveness; too much in fact. Everyone should be equal at 70 trait points.
