A faster flow of content imo is essential to balanc out the lack of a gear treadmill that generate playtime on its own. I understand that this isnt a sub based mmo but im not making any unreasonable requirest i believe. Id love to see 4 or so new fractals per year and the old 6wings be a thing.

In Core Tyria there are loads of players still playing in Dry Top and Silverwastes. World Bosses still attract loads of players, even the lower level ones, like Shadow Behemoth or the Fire Elemental.
All 4 Heart of Thorns maps have loads of maps filled doing the meta events and other regular events every day.
LS3 maps all have a healthy population of players.How do you figure that map content doesn’t last? Because I think most maps have already passed the test of time.

Im curious to understand what silverwastes offers that differs from ls3 maps. Sure its an excellent meta map, but it is just the same replay each time, never offering anything new or varied.
Ls3 maps in contrast do not have metas, which as i said earlier is a welcomed and conscious design, but has hearts, many more events of various styles and a lot more acievements and exclusive rewards and skins in each map. Plus those maps are full and ma y players are enjoying them as much as they did silverwastes.
So where, ultimately does the difference lie?

Oh I’m sorry I missed the part where you can dodge mid cast without interrupting as well as the part of Mirage that disallows them to use signets, sword, and the domination line.
The whole point of giving us a worse dodge is so we can carry on attacking while dodging. Mesmer provides better tools to do it. Mirage is pointless.

Mesmer doesn’t give us better tools to do it though since we can use all of those tools while also having the tools the Mirage has, that’s what my post was saying.
Mirage doesn’t prevent you from using ANY of those tools from the core class, the only thing it takes away is the short roll from dodging, but if you really need that mobility you can trade out your elite for jaunt.
Mirage also takes an entire traitline and replaces it with a completely worthless one that has no throughput or group support traits outside the single two grandmasters.
So, yes, you are most definitely losing something by taking Mirage.

Illusionary Ambush+ Mirage Advance Merge these skills. U Shadow step to your foe and perform an ambush attack. Your illusions will retarget to that enemy. You may reactivate the skill to shadwstep back to the original spot.
New empty skill Just make a neat dmg skill
Sand Through Glass Lower the cd abit and add a return to mirror option just like with False oasis.
Crystal sand well make the aear that the shard spawn aply criple? (like a quicksand area) make the shards scale abit better with power to buff hybrid playstiles and make the hitbox of the shards bigger. The skill will have a return to mirror option like False oasis and sand through glass. (ill be honest not sure if this will make it op so i cant tell o.0)
Jaunt Id say make the range 600 and it will be neat tbh

It seems like an in your face damage weapon but the damage is too low and nothing in the Mirage trait line supports this play style and Mirage doesn’t synergise with the core traits that might help this play style.
What is the role of scepter?
Mid range hybrid weapon/clone generator.
There axe is close range condi weapon with clone generation. And some ok mobility.

What number could they increase to make mirage capable of being a sturdy front line/in your face fighter.
Why does it need to be a front line in your face fighter? Its build around dodges evades and mirrors which all give more evade up time. The goal of axe would be to abuse the decent mobility it provides with the good evade uptime this spec could do and go in and dish out some good numbers.

Where as I loved HoT maps and they saved the game for me It was too easy before. It seems like the playerbase is quite split about if HoT was good or not. I expect a mix of content going forward.

Difficulty is not realy an issue for players… people love challenges…

I was very hyped about Mirage – finally spec with strong personal DPS and less support role… well not.
My position is now as follows:
- I will not play Mirage if AN will not change it a LOT
- I will play Scourge if AN will not nerf it too much
What ever its issues in pvp theres no dought this thing will be viable dps in pve.
Now the devs want to enable them dont know if that will ahppen but eh. At least we get to try elite specs in pve.

I really dont care about it so long as stuff like the hot raids the lw the hot masteries and the elite specs remain locked. Rev can be a universal unlock.
I miss the floating bars from bhagawan’s meter.
Basically when i preview items i listed or ordered in “My transaction” tab i want it to show the highest order price and lowest listing price next to the price iv given for them.
Example: For buy order is want it to ahow the current highest buying prices next to mine.
And for listings i have made to show the current lowest listing price next to mine.
That way i wont get All kinds of Kitten going manually over all the orders and listings i have done 1 by 1.

Always found focus fun in pvp ppl never expect it and if there falling dmg the weapon will get insta value.
The base mode is the story mode to be fair. Its really easy to get used to it a beat it.
I think that an increased duration is the absolute base changes needed to just make mirrors not miserable. Ideally they would receive far more changes including, but not necessarily limited to:
- Longer duration
- Better effects when shattered
- 3 major traits tied to mirrors. Turning them into a real mechanic we can trait to improve
- An F5 tied to shattering all mirrors on the field
- A constant AoE effect around them (even if its literally just pulsing weakness and their pathetic damage) until they are shattered
I always thought that shattering the mirrors would devalue them abit. The way i went about it instead was to up their generation. Like the theme about mirage is to confuse the enemy. What better that maving mirage create a zone of power where theres alot of mirrors and the mirage can jump aroun with its great mobility.
Also remove the cd of ambush attacks and make them available from stealth as well.

The Firey Dragon Sword is, before anything else including lore, a specific sword model from Guildwars that was transplanted to GW2 as an item for gw1 players.
So why would sohothin an item from gw1 get a visual update and not the fiery sword?
Feint suggested that the cd they have as well makes the really clunky esp when you dodge multiple times. If by any chance that could be removed then that would be cool.
Im fine with them making the base story easier if they add a challenge mode version. Else why should my experience be devalued by fighting wet noodles?
I believe the sword spirit weapon should be buffed. As a pve player thats the one i mostly got to try. Even thk i feel the dmg is at a good spot the horrificly long cast time makes this skill bad.
The cast time should be cut down to a third and i think a third of the current cast time is fair considering the weapon now doesnt move.
They way it is now its not competitive with test of fait or really and dmg utility.

Stat-swapping is relevant when patches hit. It would be very annoying to swap everytime you enter a new fractal, with pugs it would take aeons because they forget, don’t have the gear on their toon they are playing atm etc. etc.I also don’t like to be dependent on playing my chars due to mistlock instabilities. They are annoying and add nothing challenging to the content. I’d rather have new fractals and not overhauling the system every fricking year. Too much time and development was spend to overhaul fractals over the last years. It’s enough, just rework the older ones and bring new fracs.
In my opinion they can also remove the instabilities completely because they add no fun to the fights.

Dungeons are dead content and have been spiritually replaced by fractals. They are still there if you want to do them. Since you said you don’t want to do legendaries and PvP. There are also a bunch of map metas you can do. There is dry top, silverwaste, all 4 of the Hot maps, and all 6 of the LS3 maps. There is also a ton of achievements that you can work on. I feel like I’m missing something but I can’t remember what it is.

Whether or not raiders will buy PoF will depend on if you actually need it for the next raid.
Of course you will, and that that is all they need to do to guarantee the sale.
There is no real fence sitting for people who are serious about raids, and Anet knows this, which is fair, because those guaranteed future X-pac sales are about the only really good reason to put raids into a game like GW2 to start with.
Then why does ff14 and wow market their raids with new expansions?
How did they make it easier? Well basically mechanics dont overlap as much anymore. B4 the bug fixes it was total chaos.The orbs in split phase dont get stuck either so wiping there is very unlikely. U can more or less expect what mechanic comes next. And with the change to Arkk’kittenbox the overall dps of the group has gone up massively which makes things easier.
I wouldnt count the orbs gettig stuck as something that made the encounter harder but ye. On the other hand the panel phase starts always from 40% so it got harder in some regards. As for the overlaping part idk.
One thing that i clearly remember was eye mechanic happening 2 times in succession, mb once in the whole fight but completely destroyed the group. Update: even though it is rare, orbs can still get stuck behind destroyed pillars in case u are dragging 2 of them.

It has a 3/4 sec cast time.
Same with the warrior’s cast time. I dont think it needs soeeding up at mist it would need a dmg buff. And as with all ambush skills to be available from stealthing as well.
Can you at least consider a more reliable /stuck feature for when this does happen. Since the fix sounds like a very uncertain thing too…
Changing the way stuck works in PvP is on our backlog. Not sure when it’ll get in though.

“There will be raids in the future” post on their forum is not enough information to sell me an expansion.
I doubt anything that is not in the expansion yet will sell the expansion that well.
Anet knows that putting any future raids behind the next expansion will ensure everyone that wants to raid will buy the expansion. So they don’t need to market it, or even try to sell it in any way, it’s a guaranteed sale, as such any claim to not buy the expansion by anyone that wants to stay involved with Raids, is a hollow bluff.

I have viewed several of his ‘introduction’ videos. His focus in all of them has been on the positive aspects of each of the elites. He’ll skim over or briefly mention things he considers or has heard are flaws, but that’s just his style.

S2 had focus and great replayability imo. S3 had way more interesting story and exciting sad that story telling was weaker and the maps had way less replayability value. Id preffer less more fleshed out maps.
S2 had also these amazing story missions with glints lair and caith’s flashback. Imo se2 should ahve never brought braham troubles and Jormag in the mix keeping it whitemantle focushed on ep would fix alot of things.
U could put in ep3 livia the shining blades and teasers for lazaru’s fake identity. Instead we got a filler episode.

I would like to make a suggestion for the weaver.
Currently, we can switch attunement every 4sec while it’s only 2.5sec for core ele (on average), it’s too long. Moreover, weaver should always be able to access the skill/element he needs.My thoughts:
– Remove all cooldown on attunement change.
– Then balance it: for example some kind of initiative (like thieves): 6 charges to switch, -1 at each new element you attune and +1 every few seconds.This way weaver can react quickly and really becomes unpredictable.
At the moment, I fear weaver might only be useful in pve…

What if attuning to pure elements exists outside that 4sec? Doyble tapping an element you go only that element with no cd while dual element keeps thw 4sec one.

I was thinking a good way to increase the mirror generation and give them more value would be to change the “self deception” and “shards of glass” traits.
The way i went about it was:
Self deception: when you shatter 2 or more illusions spawn a mirror (x sec idc)
Shards of glass: consuming a mirror spawns a clone (x icd)
Imo this would increase the mirror output making them a more reliable tool and it would give mirrors more value since they help with out clone generation.
Also, id make a case for axe to be buffed abit i its power department so it wont fall to the same area the rev weapons where at the start.
I believe that the ambush skill should overall be buffed both in the window i got to use them and dmg. Although im not sure about sword ambush since its already pretty solid.
Utils: heal could use a buff on healing or condi removal and a secondary buttons to teleport back to the mirror. Other utiles need smarter positioning on the mirros they summon and Jaunt imo would benefit from being 600 range each teleport.
And finally, why cant we access ambush skills in stealth as well? It would make sense to be able to do that.
All in all the hot powercreeped chrono proves to be supperior even now (but mirage has alot of potential as a thief replacement in pvp and a bice dps in pve).

They got careful after the kittenstorm from HoT. Everything that is not available at release day of PoF didn’t get promoted.
Honestly, a simple: “Purchasing Path of Fire gives access to Path of Fire Raids and Living World Season 4” would be enough for me.
In every game that has raids said raids arent available until after a week weeks of month+ if thats the reason anet is t saying anything then thats a stupid reason.
Its oerfectly uderstandable to not get a raid on release.
Im loving the reduced waypoints and the more immersive means of travel. Hope in the future they can reduce the core tyria waypoints as well.
The reason these legendaries require HoT is because they are the HoT Legendaries. They promised us a full cluster of legendaries with HoT and so they are all intrinsically tied to HoT. Until they’ve finished the set no Legendaries should be tied to PoF

The bew content is hot content and the gen 2 legendaries are gen 2 legendaries.
Axe does also decent power dmg. Nowhere near great tmg but with better scaling it could be a neat weapon.
The scaling is really low and the base isn’t that high. If by decent power damage, you mean it does power damage, then you’re correct. But it’s nowhere near enough to justify running it on a power build atm. You can check the damage on your power builds by using the chat links then compare it to other weapons.
Just a note: It has less damage output than Scepter on power builds, so… uhh… yeah…
Its a combination of its power dmg ist condi output and the mobolity this weapon has. Do i think its power scaling needs buffs? Yes. Do i thing its useless? Not quite.

Stun break on dodge is bad for the game. Especially on the best 100-0 class in the game.
Thief has a stun break on dodge?
Mesmer Burst > Thief Burst
Mesmer burst also has significantly longer cd and mesmer has no sustained damage whatsoever in case a burst fails or is partially blocked, which allows targets to fully recover where a thief would just finish off with autos.
Mind wrack is on a significantly less CD than steal. Let’s be honest here. Also Basi Venom is a CD of 45 seconds.
Yes theif AA’s do more damage than ours. Yes this is true, but thief can’t 100-0 someone on a burst anymore. Also our overall sustain trumps thief sustain in fights. We have many more ways to mitigate damage and win fights, where as; the thief is well known for having zero sustain.
Everyone needs to take a step back and look at the entire picture w/out class bias.
lol thief burst isn’t merely steal. Vault hits for more thand mindwrack ever will. Backstab happens every black powder which is less than MW cd.
And lol at our sustained DPS being higher. Mesmer sustained DPS is one of the lowest in the game.
I’m not sure why you brought up healing when thief can pretty much evade all damage and blink out to wait out for the evades to be back.
