It was my understanding that scrolls of knowledge were going to be converted into spirit shards. When I logged in post patch I noticed that my 100+ scrolls were missing and I was only given two bags containing 5 spirit shards each. Really? 10 spirit shards for 100 scrolls which if I had used pre-patch would have netted me 100 spirit shards on one of my characters. Anyone else have this problem?

What are your thoughts on the sinister armor? I was really thinking about respecing my Necromancer and outfitting her with a full set of sinister gear, however this would be quite an investment since I am saving T6 mats for my legendary. Has anyone tried out sinister on their necro, if so what are your thoughts? I run a condi/pet build on my necro now so I was thinking this could boost her damage even further by swapping out the pets for more condition traits/abilities.

Bump, I am having the same issue. I have done the file check, I have restarted my modem and my router, double checked all of my connections but the game either will not load or will crash after a few minutes of game play. It was fine a couple of days ago now today keeps crashing with Code=7:11:3:191:101

Opps I forgot to change those out I already decided not to go with the triple signet. I actually run Epidemic, Signet of Locust and Well of Suffering.

I mainly do PVE and Dungeons. I’m looking to do a Condition Damage Build. I thought that the Celestial Gear would be a good option, I don’t care for a full glass cannon spec but I can play it if that’s what I need to do to be useful in dungeons and such.

I’m still leveling my Necromancer but I came up with a build and would love comments/opinions on the viability of it since I haven’t reached end game yet.

I was the instance leader of a group trying this boss, we tried for over 1.5 hours to kill the stupid boss by kiting and staying mostly at ranged failing every time. Most of the group left, I replaced the remainder of the group with guildies of me and the other remaining person. It was all their first time at the boss, someone suggested after a couple of failed attempts that we just all stay in melee range and it worked like a charm killed him in less than 5 minutes! No stupid gears so no need for the cleanse which would down everyone.

I’ve recently started leveling my necromancer again and I am having loads of fun with it. There are so many weapon combos that I am a bit overwhelmed. I want to go for a condition damage build mostly for pve. Any suggestions?

Solid, what server are you from? I know that on SoR every time I have beat Tequatl was when I joined the SoR raidcall and we were all in an overflow to avoid the afk people.

Love world 2 zone 2!! I can’t believe that this hasn’t been fixed or responded to. I have seen LOTS of posts about this and not a single dev comment on it. I died soooo many times to this too. Took me an HOUR to get to the boss from this check point.

And then he drops you at the beginning, I almost cried when he dropped me at the beginning only to realize that at least it didn’t reset all my hard work!

I’ve looked at just about every one of these World 2 Zone 2 bugged checkpoint threads and none of them have any developer comments! They have responded to several other of the “bugged” threads in this category. I have to say that I am rather disappointed that this has not been addressed yet.

They should put these “exclusive limited release” minis in their own category, and they should not count towards achievement points. Problem solved.

Yes I access the chest at the end of them, and I am level 80.

Yes even in infantile mode, its the respawning at the checkpoint when you drop in that causes you to aggro them.

Yeah I always make sure that I am ported to the next area before leaving. I had the same problem in the first release, had to do w1z3 twice before I got the unlock.

It is working, you just have to be careful at the next to last checkpoint, dying and re-spawning has the potential to aggro the hillbillies.

Remorseless: This trait now reapplies Opening Strike when the ranger gains stealth or kills an enemy.

To me this says WHEN they get stealth which says that someone has to stealth them i.e. the Thief. Nothing says that they can stealth themselves…….

I use the same type of trick for the mossman/bloomhunger fractal. Just let the thief get the farthest one. You might have to run forward a bit because its out of range in the farthest corners but it works!

When you pick the item up or craft it they will be account bound. Once you use the item it will become soul bound just as it always has.

Celestial armor/weapons/accessories uses the new quartz crystals from the latest living story? Yes there are other all stats rings available that have it but we haven’t had the ability to craft it before now.

I totally agree, any other mmo that I have ever played has allowed you to filter by armor type so why not this one?

Exactly. I played three games and figured out the game and now place anywhere from first to third in 7+ player races. The mini game isn’t hard at all sadly no reason people can’t earn it. This isn’t World of Warcraft. Earn your stuff by trying instead of having it given.

Would I like the achievement? Yes of course I would. Am I ever going to get it? Probably not, mini games like the race are the only place in the game that I encounter consistent lag and/or rubber banding which makes a race such as that nearly impossible to win. I don’t expect someone to let me win, but if they did I would be grateful, it wouldn’t carry the same meaning because they let me win, but in the end I get the achievement points that would otherwise be gone forever.

A better system would be to display the number of kicks initiated and confirmed within a period. That way, if you get with a group and it says that they kick 10 people a month, you know you shouldn’t even start.

Now that’s a good idea! A nice addition to stats visible to others, “number of players kicked from group”.

That would work in theory, however I often group with guildies that have a bad habit of logging out before leaving the group and then we have to kick them to make room for new members or reform the group.

True for the main hand/two handed. However having the additional unique second hand weapons gives them many more weapon combinations. As Scoobaniec pointed out warriors get 19 weapon combinations….. tell me how that isn’t op itself?

I run guild groups all the time and often we end up filling with a pug. I would never dream of kicking an active, contributing member of the team in favor of a guild member especially once the run is already under way. Often if it is something that I know a guild member really needs I will drop group and let them have my spot.

Very true Volkon, makes it hard to have any sort of build/class diversity among thieves, engies and eles when you only have 4 weapons to work with.

Though battleaxes could be nice, since warriors and guardians tend to be a bit…well, not very scary.

Thieves have a total of 4 different weapons they can use (not counting underwater weapons) It would be nice to see more weapons on them (along with Ele’s and Engi’s who also only get 4 weapon choices)

Warriors have 10 unique weapons
Guardians have 9 unique weapons
Rangers have 8 unique weapons
Mesmers have 7 unique weapons
Necro’s have 6 unique weapons

You know… veteran or not, it’s good to have mobs capable of killing newer players in the low level zones. Best way to get the feel for a different combat system is to live and die in that combat system, with dying being a rather important part.

I’m sure everyone has done the “oh hey I wonder if I can attack this?” and ended up dead as a result. Fun times!

Dulfy’s Guide states “Fortune Scraps can be looted from Kite Fortunes you can find from kite baskets in open world zones” So I would think they would open/be lootable. Unless they have some sort of CD and they are visable (like the Holo projectors) but you just can’t interact?

Looks promising, I haven’t had much success with the basilisk venom, I prefer thieves guild for the extra dps (especially when trying to solo some of the harder personal story lines and skill challenges). Also shadow refuge is an amazing ability especially if you are going to be doing alot of pve/dungeons it has amazing group utility. Signet of shadows is also very useful in battles two fold, because of the speed boost it can make it easier to avoid damage without using all of your endurance up with dodges plus it can be used for a targeted blind on opponents.

It’s what I used, also P/P is handy because you can start attacking from a distance and get their hp down some before they make it to you. I went with a pretty straight forward berserkers stats with some defensive gems (power/vitality) and it seemed to work pretty well for me.

Ummm it and EVERY other legendary in the game. Besides the “oooo shiney” factor there is absolutely nothing different between the stats of a legendary and that of an exotic weapon except for the promise that someday they will be best in slot.
