How recently I bought Guild Wars is irrelevant in this regard. I’m debating if I want to purchase the expansion at all simply because it includes the main game and that adds to the price.
ANet doesn’t need anyone to hold it’s hand. The forum chatter is not going to hurt it’s feelings. They need to know what people are thinking, and that’s what the forums are an outlet for.
Looks like it spontaneously stopped working again. Outstanding.
+1. Am I the only one who doesn’t care about these characters? Does that make me a heartless person?
There are times when my backpiece will vanish, despite being set to show. It only seems to happen in WvW at times when there are a lot of players on screen. I think it is also connected with equipping and unequipping engineer kits during these times. Toggling the “show” checkbox will fix it temporarily, but it will usually disappear again after I unequp an engineer kit. It is invisible not only to me, but also to other players.
Yeah, I completed all the dungeon story modes on this character a year ago but do not have any of the dungeon reward tracks permanently unlocked. I’m assuming this is buggsville.
WTB un-nerf of Ash Legion Spy Kit
I totally forgot disease existed in GW1. Had a rad icon, too.
Yeah, I have no friends amongst NPCs.
When you reach the top of the tower, the corpses of your guildies should be hanging from the walls. Checking the roster shows all their locations as ‘Tower of Nightmares.’ I’d be freaking out, maaannnnnn.
I like Scarlet. I don’t want to kill her, I just want her drops.
There is a group event on each level that blocks your progress, so you may not be able to pass without a group regardless of the strength of the mobs.
Don’t forget that upgrading the backpiece will destroy the infusion, so invest in a simple one until you can do the upgrade.
Actually, pupils have no colour (they’re just holes), and the inside of the eyes is red (as you can see in flash photography – where enough light makes it into the eye to make the inside visible, but for such a short time that your iris doesn’t close).
The more you know! ~ :O:O:O
I look forward to guild events every week. Join a sizable PvX guild and they can show you the ropes of bounty, puzzle, and rush.
Wait around until your server gets matched up against weaker servers. Your server will undoubtedly dominate the map giving you free range to get your map completion.
Unless you’re on the lowest of low servers. Sorry, bro.
You’re only level 63, dawg.
But you can’t even remove it from your mail? Might be a bug. Level to 65 and try to pull it again. I don’t think you can even mail account or soul bound items, so I don’t think that’s the problem.

There is an entrance to a JP hidden in the valley to the west, if I remember correctly. There are nodes in there, but I don’t recall ori ever spawning down there.
+1 improve the forum search function.
Also, +1 for Guild Halls.
Do you mean gold ‘sink’? If so, gold sinks are usually something MMO managers promote to keep the value of the currency up. So power leveling with crafting is good for the GW2 economy in that respect.
I’d like to bind consumables to hotkeys as well.
The Labyrinthine armor was pretty hot.
Don’t call it the skin locker, though. Unless it’s part of a Halloween update.
Noooo animu is not allowed in GW2.
Make another warrior.
I think the hair salon thing has some potential. It could still cost gems, but it would add additional content to the otherwise huge and empty capitol cities.
Scarlet is cute, in a “cut you while you sleep” kind of way. Mini Scarlet Hologram is around 3g in the TP right now.
…Oh I get it. To make escorting Yaks more viable. I like it +1.
I think the DR and speed increase traits should only apply to the Yak when someone with the traits is riding it.
The GS is indeed super popular. I feel like ANet would be inclined to make the other weapon options more viable, but that would mean re-balancing the weapon skills of four different classes.
On the other hand, maybe there are 3 legendary GS skins for a reason.
We should remove magic from the game while we’re at it. I hate it when casters have the gall to cast spells all up in my grill.
WoW had mounts and the fast (slow) traveling system for balancing reasons. I was not a WoW kid, but I understand that their equivalent of WvW content was part of the open world, so they had to prevent players from just porting over to enemy attackers so that response time was a factor. WoW guys, am I correct?
But if you insist on mounts, I want them to be class specific. Mostly because I’m an engineer and mostly because I want to drive a forklift into battle. Those things can do lots of damage to your stock when mishandled. Yeahhhhhh.
I didn’t see a topic for this in the first few pages. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants this.
I swap utility skills, traits, and legendary stats in between combat in WvW all the time. It would be DANDY if I could save those to a template like I could in GW. I’d settle for skill and trait templates, but including legendary item stats in the template would be pretty rad.
Ping in if this is something you would like.
Heh, I use potions all the time. Just found this thread.
Mah favorite bug so far~ If anything, it proved I don’t NEED potions.
I’m referring to open-world content versus dungeon-like content. What are your thoughts or preferences?
I find dungeon content like the new TA path and the Molten Alliance lair to be especially memorable. They had good rewards and the bosses were pretty fun too. The only inconvenience is that I had to form up a party and dedicate a slot of time to finish the instance.
Explorable content, like Southsun and Toxic Tower, is more convenient for me because I can bum around without the need to form up a party or commit a chunk of time to finish an instance. I enjoy walking around the world and joining in on random events and groups. I feel that Toxic Tower is a nice mix of the two.
As soon as the boss died I stood at the exit to the diving goggles. I was ported out to the ledge the moment someone else injected the toxin.
Does anybody want to be a toxic krait? I’d be more interested in something more amusing like a trebuchet tonic or a hot dog stand tonic.
I was betting it was on a timer, but then I saw the injection bar increase at an arbitrary time during the day.
I’ve injected 4 or 5 doses myself, but I don’t intend to do it again anytime soon. Maybe Scarlet will poison the world and GW will be over forever oh noes.
DE has been taking a backseat since Rox and whats-his-face showed up.
Logan is just a bodyguard now, Rytlock is doing paperwork in his office, Caithe is failing to be effective, Eir is standing in a loft looking great for an old lady, I haven’t seen Zojja in forever, and Snaff is still thoroughly dead.
I believe DE was founded for the dragon initiative. I don’t think they’re getting paid to fight the toxic beanstalk.
I found that floor 3 actually increases player solidarity. It was hard for me to solo that area, and it seems others were having problems too. So we started forming impromptu groups of 4 or 5. Most pugs will stick together if they know they can’t survive on their own.
That is, if there are people around at all. At 3:00PM on a weekday you might be SoL. Gotta wait for primetime to get past level 3.
No buff; I like easy rewards.
People still think about Trahearne? I thoroughly forgot about him after completing personal story.
I thought we had a consensus that bringing in new content like dungeons, then removing them, was a mistake. Lots of people lived the molten alliance dungeon and were sad to see it go. Taking away what could have been a new permanent dungeon just because the story says it should be so is bad design. The gameplay should come first and the story should mold around it.
People aren’t going into WvW for the toxic events. They’re there for the WvW Season 1 cheevos.
But I agree with you; the living world content has no business in WvW. A dolyak disappearing from the map has always been a sign that players are there, not the toxic alliance.
Ya, bro. You gotta dodge, or find someone to hide behind.
As someone who relies on piggybacking with zergs and random groups, tower level 3 is virtually inaccessible to me with it’s not prime time. I can get up to the clockwork portal event if I put in the effort, but that’s a group event and not really meant to be solo’d. It’s 5:45 on a weeknight and the activity in the tower is still sparse.
I’m lazy. Add a port for me at the top, if you please~
Scarlet is growing on me, mostly because she’s wicked hawt in that cutscene.
She’s an impossibly awesome character who’s motivation for anything can always cop-out to “because she’s insane.” But she serves her purpose driving the gameplay. I never expected her to be anything terribly interesting.
I’ve learned not to horde things just because I “might need it later.” In ANY video game, even in real life, such an attitude only brought me sadness.
No more alliances. I just want to kill humanoids carrying swords and shields.
WTB port golem for level 4.
NPC downed states in PvE don’t bring anything to the game beyond a mechanic that nobody asked for.
