This has been requested a few times; honestly I should just make it happen. Here’s a tracking issue.
Hey Banshee! We’re aware the achievement has issues and we’re looking into a fix to make it better. Thank you for submitting this report!
I also did not get the cooling room thing from Bolt III: Zap. I think both of the items you need to get from the thaumanova fractal are bugged at the moment.
Thanks for that info! Both items are being looked at.

Gaile, if your being held hostage by “the cat”, just wave 3 times to any player in game. I am sure someone can hide you out in their guild hall until it’s safe. ;-)
I think I’ll be ok. After all, I control the Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers supply, as kitty has not figured out how to open the pantry door or pop a can lid.

Due to an potential exploit related to drops from Jade Fragments, we have temporarily disabled the drop of Jade Shards from the fragments. Players may continue to mine Jade Fragments for Unbound Magic and Bloodstone Dust, but will not get Jade Shards until we have addressed the issue. Thanks for your understanding.

There was a time when ArenaNet used to call out people who would post on Reddit claiming to be the “innocent victim” of a false suspension. Someone would claim “I just got a 1 week suspension… I’ve never said anything bad in chat… other players are just griefing me… ArenaNet just bans people who get multiple reports, without investigating anything!” Then someone from ArenaNet would come along and post the chat log from that person in all its uncensored glory and retort with “THIS is what got you suspended. Questions?”
And that, right there, was one of the most glorious moments of my career at ArenaNet.
I think it was particularly funny because quite a few members of the community know me, and know I’m not the sort of spew nasty language. So when I posted up the comments, it was pretty clear, even with judicious use of asterisks, that I was pulling straight from the logs.
It was hilarious to see people get shut down like that, and it showed that ArenaNet does indeed investigate and take action on those verbal abuse reports.
Keep in mind that ArenaNet usually starts people out with a 1 – 3 day suspension at first (they might even get just a warning before that), and it may take up to a week or more between when you submit your report and when they have a chance to act on it.
I’m pretty sure they do take action. But their actions on specific incidents aren’t always immediate or visible to us.
Believe me, reports are read, and we have a team on board 24/7/365. That doesn’t guarantee that the team member will respond exactly as you desire, for they try to look at things objectively, and we tend to forgive an occasional “slip of the tongue.” Still, we do take action on offensive chat and will continue to do so, in the interests of keeping the game pleasant for everyone.
You also are welcome to send individual reports to the team. Best to include the exact day, time, and precise spelling of the offending player’s character or display name, to offer the most effective report.

We’re aware of a bug where loading screens can sometimes take 2+ minutes to complete; more often after playing in WvW for a while than elsewhere in GW2. We’re working on a fix in such a way that it can be selectively tested on Live, since it affects a vital area of GW2 behavior (loading screen timing), and is rare/difficult to reproduce in a testing environment.
In the meantime, if there aren’t queues in the maps you’re playing in, there’s a possible work-around. Switching maps— either by exiting WvW or just moving to a different WvW map momentarily— appears to get your client “unstuck” from the long loading screen behavior.
I broke this >_>
Fix incoming in next release!
Thanks for the heads up. We’ll take a look at it.
Thanks for the report! We’re looking into this.
As the OP noted (and thank you so much for updating your post!), changes were made to the boss encounter. Please read the update notes for more information.

We discovered an issue on the Lake Doric map and rolled out a correction this evening. We wanted to let you know that players who achieved 100% map completion in Lake Doric prior to this evening’s hotfix will need to redo the New Loamhurst and Doric’s Landing hearts in that region in order to re-acquire map complete. You can do that any time after the next global reset, which takes place daily at 4:00 PM Pacific time. Please note that redoing the two hearts will not give you a second map completion reward, but it will fill in the map and indicate your accomplishment.

I haven’t changed the creature scaling for this patch, if you are specifically referring to the health of mobs.
What a great initiative — I love this idea! (And it is coming together very nicely, too!)
I am going to try to give the The Krytan Herald a shout-out on Community Showcase Live in February. If we run short on time, in March for sure!
Thanks for doing this, Fornax — it’s marvelous.

That is truly gorgeous. And I found another I love as well, by a different artist.
As far as I know, we would need the artist to share their work on our Tumblr page or on this forum in order for us to feature them on Community Showcase Live. You’re perfectly fine to link to them, I was hoping to show them off more, though, and I think I cannot without them essentially giving us permission to do so via a share on our pages.
Thanks, though — I really enjoyed hearing this!

The patch this morning didn’t contain the fix, but we are testing a fix that hopefully will work out for a patch later. Hold tight and I’m sorry for this delay!
Hey Turon!
We currently have an issue we’re working to address in which your story can get stuck if you disconnect, log to character select or change overflow maps while a story step NPC is talking with you. If you run into this, you will see your story step greyed out in the UI and you’ll not be able to progress.
While a fix is looked into for this you can:
- Go into your story journal and select “Quit This Episode”
- Select any other episode you may have unlocked (or your personal story) and hit “Play Episode”.
- Go back to Episode 4 and select “Play Episode”.
Doing those steps, your will reset the “chapter” you are on to the first step and you will be able to try this again. (A chapter being “Eyes on Lake Doric” or "Sabotage Fort Evennia for example).
Are you talking about the potions? If so, those are intended for the Daily Recommended.
Should have the regenerated tiles up today (or tomorrow if something horrible happens).
EDIT: got the new tiles generated and uploaded, running a CloudFront cache invalidation now. The new tiles should start appearing soon.
(edited by Lawton Campbell.8517)
We’ll have a fix for this soon.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a client crash.
- Fixed a server crash.
- Fixed a bug that allowed Guldhem to take damage from life stealing and conditions.

In the past year and a half, the overall skill level of the Guild Wars raiding community has risen at a staggering pace. Naturally, content will seem easier now as players continue to refine their theorycrafting and personal skill.
Our goal is not to make content easier, but rather add an additional layer of difficulty onto the challenge motes where it makes sense.
Thanks for the report Lost! We’re looking into the walls! =(
The problem seems to have been accepting the title in custom arenas. So if you haven’t accepted your title yet, just make sure to do it in the PvP lobby.
We should have a change to the title items going in soon™. Once that change goes in, we may have further instructions for anyone who didn’t get their title.
Uhhhhhhhhhhh.
That sounds like an issue on my end, let me look into it.
EDIT: A quick glance at the changelog doesn’t show anything that should break anything (but did find a bit of stupid — I added a “map” field which contains the same thing as “map_id”). The old “map_id” field should have the same correct value as before, but I’m making a debug client build to double-check that. On the other front, I can’t get Gw2Taco’s PDB to be read in correctly by MSVS2013, so I’m unable to peek at their internals
TL;DR still verifying the issue, not sure what the ETA will be on a fix.
(edited by Lawton Campbell.8517)
Thank you all for the reports! This is fantastic information and I’ll pass it along to the folks working on a solution.
Thank you for the report! We’re investigating the bug.
Hey all,
As you know, we released Episode 4 of Living World Season 3 — Head of the Snake — today. As always, communications team members will be gathering feedback from players on all aspects of the release and will share it with the entire studio. Members of the dev team also will be reading your input, as well.
This is our official feedback thread, as we’ve created for each episode this season. And as normal, we’d like to use this thread to gather your high-level input. Sooo…
After you have played through the episode, please share your overall thoughts on Episode 4.
Please keep it to 50 words or fewer in this thread, offering your top-level overall impression here. More detailed analysis or feedback would be more than welcome in alternative threads and you can rest assured such comments will also be read. I hasten to add there’s no need to rush through the content, we’ll be reading this thread for a week or more.
Thank you for sharing, and I hope you have a great time in the game!

All of the achievements tied to secondary objectives require winning the match as well. So if you kill the enemy lord but lose because it was a bad play, you won’t get progress for that achievement.
The red side port failing is a bug and we are tracking a fix for it
I’m glad to hear it worked! We saw some reports early this morning and are working to get it fixed. I don’t think we’ll have something for you next hotfix, but we’re working on it. Thank you guys for the confirmations and reports of the issue! It helps to have multiple reports. =D
Have fun with the release!
Hey Caer,
Did you get disconnected during the part where you were asked to speak with the Examplar? (We’re looking into an issue that if someone logs/disconnects while an NPC for the story is talking that the story step becomes stuck).
—
Also, as a work around for this bug while we look into it – if you log in and out to character select this may fix the step.
If it does not, you will want to:
- Go into your story journal and select “Quit This Episode”
- Select any other episode (or your personal story) you may have unlocked and hit “Play Episode”.
- Go back to Episode 4 and select “Play Episode”.
This will reset the “chapter” for Sabotage Fort Evennia to the first step and you will be able to try this again.
Thanks!
Hey Pulsefire,
We have temporarily disabled their purchase. No eta on when we’ll be able to reenable their purchase.
Since this is a similar to the other 5-4-3 thread, here is a link to my response on that thread.
Bug Fixes:
- Seraph Morale now gives the boons listed in the description when entering and exiting combat, along with a 1% kill experience increase per tier.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the Shackled Prisoner’s Unnatural Signet from granting a damage boost.
- Revealed will now be applied to all players when the Shackled Prisoner event begins.
- Fixed a bug that could cause the final instance to stall in the first patrol room.
- Activating “Ride the Ley Line” inside a ley line will now cause damage rather than instantly killing players in both Lake Doric and Bloodstone Fen. The “Don’t Cross the Streams” Bloodstone Fen achievement is awarded for taking damage this way, rather than for dying.
- Fixed an issue that would cause the Shackled Prisoner event to fail unexpectedly in the final phase.
Thanks for the report, MoarChaos!
Thank you for the report everyone! We’re looking into what broke and how we can fix it.
