Good catch, we’ll get this added at the Overgrowth spawn area for a later release. For now I guess you’ll just need to use a laurel vendor in another map.
We’re aware of it. You can follow this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/illusions-dying-vs-stealthed-opponent/page/2

It is actually a bug. We are currently investigating a fix and hope to have it fixed as soon as we can. We agree, we want you to see people’s names.
Is possible to request a refund for the Flamekissed ?
Because i’ve payed 800 gems to have the old Flamekissed and not for the new one.
I not like this one and want a refund. They said back then that you can make a request if you do not like it. Send a support ticket.
Yes, you may request a refund. Click “Support” at the top of this page, then “Submit a request” and outline your request. Please be aware that processing your request may take a few days, so please allow sufficient time for the Customer Support Team to handle this for you. If you have questions or wish to update your ticket, please do not submit a second ticket but simply update your existing ticket by responding to the e-mail that you receive.

If Anet’s made any mistakes here, it’s that they should have introduced Scarlet’s torment sooner. By now so many players are fed up with her that they don’t really care about her true motivations.
The past year of Living World has been a massive learning curve for us for many reasons, and there have been some areas like this where we agree that there is room for improvement. We’re committed to taking the lessons that we’ve learned over this year and applying them to how we author content and deliver story moving forward, and I’m confident that our storytelling in this format will get better and better as a result!
Checkmate atheists?! Does that mean you believe the Elder Dragons…are GOD? :-P
How about some sweet, sweet new gear?
Except for the fact that you got mismatched armor and the shield clips through your hair thats really nice! Now onward on my quest to get them while theyre still only 1 blc ticket!
Yah, I was futzing with gear to make something specific for another screenie. I’ve got a full set of other gear on now.
And I changed my hair to better match the shield.
Greetings all.
We’ve made numerous attempts to keep this thread on-topic to the original post. However, since it continues to go off-topic into real world discussions not related to Guild Wars 2 & its lore. we’re closing it. If you wish to start a new thread specific to Guild Wars 2, please keep it on-topic about the game and the lore.
As you may have already figured out, WvW and Edge of the Mists are now open. Go forth and enjoy. And again, sorry for the inconvenience this delay may have caused you and your plans.
Hey all. I know you’ve all seen the new build, but the team hasn’t opened up the map just yet. I will update here when it’s been opened up. Just a little more patience, please
Great feedback, everyone. Just wanted to let you know that I’ve flagged this thread for the designers to check out.
Thanks for keeping it constructive!
Bug Fixes:
- Improved performance while in the Dead End bar.
- The Quaggan Finisher now properly plays sound effects.
- Fixed a bug that allowed too many players into a single Edge of the Mists map.
- Fixed a bug that prevented Regulator Warden V from attacking in the Twisted Marionette encounter.
Hey guys (and gals), no need to jump all over Idunaz for not seeing the posts. I know we’d all love it if everybody could read every post on the forum, but that’s not entirely possible. If somebody pops in and hasn’t seen the post(s), feel free to direct them towards it or quote it, but there’s no call for being rude to somebody because they may have missed it.
Since this thread has denigrated into an argument between players, and drifted too far off topic, it is now closed.
Just popping in to let y’all know we haven’t forgotten about you. The team is still hard at work fixing this problem. Again, sorry for any disruptions in your plans to play the new content today.
Were there any optimizations for AMD CPUs?
Theoretically everyone should see an improvement.
Ask and ye shall receive: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/engineer/Lets-see-your-engineers/page/17#post3594163
All: if you want to speculate about Rox and Braham, please create a new thread for it. This thread was created by DominationCreation.5703 to discuss Marjory and Kasmeer and to speculate about them.
Thank you!

To follow up, the client optimizations that I mentioned before went out with the build today. Let me know if you saw improvements. Feel free to list your specs too!

First thing I did was get the shield and pistol for my Engie. And the staff for my Ele…and so on and so on….
I checked the Engi forum for a screenshot … but alas no find.
I think I can fix that.
at least somethings getting fixed around here :P
I see what you did there.

For a bit more context some folks, particularly Dr Ritter.1327, might want to take a look at what Bobby said regarding Marjory and Kasmeer in the thread that Psynch.4987 linked:
Bobby SteinA few things here:
- We didn’t put this in to cater to anyone. We’re just trying to tell a good story.
- No crusade going on here.
- Interesting characters and character moments make for a better experience overall. We’re not doing it at the expense of putting other things in the game.
What people don’t understand is that we wrote and voiced a lot of these moments throughout the year. Some scenes and story instances were cut or never implemented in the final releases, which is why this particular story instance was longer than the typical one and filled with lots of exposition.

…and also what Matthew said as well:
Matthew MedinaTo be clear, the only “agenda” any of us at Arenanet have is to tell engaging and compelling stories using our medium of interactive narrative. Part of achieving that goal is to provide genuine and believable characters who have depth and interesting interpersonal dynamics, including the portrayal of complex and compelling relationships.
We have put much effort into making sure that Marjory, Kasmeer, Rox, Braham and now Taimi each bring a unique perspective to the overall Living World narrative, and we love exploring the various relationships of all of these characters, as well as those already established via the player’s personal story. You will see those relationships continue to grow and change, as you would expect of friends and comrades you encounter in real life.
Specifically with Marjory and Kasmeer, we’re trying to present two characters that have a burgeoning friendship and interest in one another, because that’s something that happens in life. We don’t generally talk much about it on forums or the like, because as has been pointed out before, we much prefer to tell their story in game wherever possible. But we would also like to think that our portrayal of their feelings towards each other is more than simply something you can define by “ticking a box”.

Regarding the pronunciation: it was always intended to be as Canach pronounces it, “KYAR-ah” or if you prefer, “kee-YAR-ah.” We settled on the hard-K sound at the front and the multiple vowel sounds in the middle because that was one of the potential acceptable pronunciations (names like Kira and Keira are derived from it) and the soft-C or S sound at the front took the name too close to “Sieran” territory).
I believe this release marks the first time Scarlet’s original name has been voiced out loud by any character (previously Caithe mentioned her by name in an unvoiced conversation).
In addition, regarding the name’s origin/meaning: we considered a great many names with a great many meanings. Along with the other meanings of Ceara (and its variants) like “spear” or “dark,” one of the variant meanings was “fiery red,” and the collective impact of all those definitions pushed the name Ceara into the winner’s circle.

My biggest gripe with this….being in the EU timezones, I will only be able to experience this content a day later now, because it’s released in the late evening (GMT+2), and because of the issues, it’s now 23:59 and I still haven’t been able to see any of the Edge of the Mists. Kinda wasted my entire evening now waiting :P
We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Our team is working as fast as they can to fix the issues and get WvW and EoTM back up and running.
The Fortune Scrap and Golden Fortune Scrap vendor selections have been moved to the “Sonder the Seller [Merchant]” NPC in Fort Marriner. You can find him standing near the Laurel Vendor next to the training area. The Scraps can be traded on the last 2 tabs in his vendor window.
I am shamelessly bumping this because we want to make sure that you do have the option to send a support survey, if you want to do so.
Is anyone having difficulty with the survey? Either a broken link or a non-functional “submit” button? Alternately, if you have been able to submit a survey it would be super-helpful for us to know that, too.
Thanks for any updates you can provide.

I believe Twitter is just their way of getting out a quick shout out when something unexpected and emergency-like happens. More official updates/responses takes time, as does reading and responding to forum threads.
If you can fire off up to 140 characters in one place, you can fire the exact same message off in another.
Well, I suppose that the moderators are gathering the various threads that have popped up on this topic, so that they can make replies in one place.
Edit: This is exactly what happened as I was typing my reply, so I guess the point is unavailing.
Yep, this!
Different people on the team handle different tasks. While many of us are here on the forums responding to many threads on the same topic (this one) all over the forum, plus gathering feedback for Dev, Rubi is responding to our social channels.
We have official communities off the forums, too, as example via Twitter. Whilst we gather all the threads and work with Dev, she is able to quickly get the news to the heaps of people who are asking out Twitter account about this issue.
Hope that helps!
Just curious how long support will take. Sent in a ticket over 2 hours ago with a reply that a senior member was going to look into it.
-and -
Just sent in one ticket but this is keeping me from going to WvW or doing anything. I can’t run around looking like I nabbed a piece of fire armor from Elton John.
While we know everyone would like a very rapid response, these requests will take time because there are several possible scenarios involving the armor set and each ticket must be reviewed with care to ensure the agent gives the right response and takes the appropriate action. You would not get a response within 2 hours — there’s nothing alarming about that. I’m sorry if you feel you cannot play right now, but you will be served as soon as possible.

We’re hard at work taking care of the issues with the Edge of the Mists. Please hang in there.
Chopping up maps for smaller team fights is an option. The water in Spirit Watch or the center point in Foefire are examples where players already do this with custom arenas. However, unless we needed 6 TDM maps ‘RIGHT NAOW’, we would still prefer to make a new polished experience and let players with customs arenas keep doing what they already have been.
I am fairly certain a lot of players wouldn’t mind having these “chopped up” TDM maps – no more conquest pls
It seems like people really want (and want we also want) is a way to officially support new games modes combined with our current queues regardless of what the new map is.

Xdragonshadowninjax (80 Thief)
We’re aware of the issues and the team is working on it.
Support is not down. Please try again. We had a momentary time-out that lasted bout 10 minutes but was resolved two hours ago. Should be up and running now. If you cannot access support, please post so I can follow up.

Danicia, please tell the Devs that the weapons need moar hearts. My manly, bulky, mustached norn isn’t complete unless he’s surrounded by hearts. Princess Wand was a start. Heart weapons are a nice addition. Heart ARMOR is next!!!
Done.
Hey folks. We are taking care of everyone who is getting in touch to inquire about this. However, the process will take a bit of time. Thank you in advance for your patience — we’ll fulfill requests in the order received. (Please do not submit multiple tickets — that will slow your response!)
Thanks.

- Fixed various server crashes.
Thanks!
Since yesterday. I’ll post soon with a little announcement, but wanted to make sure this didn’t slip away!
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to pop in and say that the changes listed are not all of the changes coming. Unfortunately, we can’t share everything we’re changing due to the nature of some of the changes.
In the meantime, we’ve been loving all the great constructive feedback you have, so keep it up!
:)

Haha! No.

I agree, the dialogue has improved for our characters, it feels as though we are contributing and have opinions. Unfortunately we have not had much interaction with the various characters this time nor was it as entertaining as the story area in the previous update.
Living Story has been very hit and miss, when they do one thing well something else seems to suffer. The Origin of Madness really did have the worst player character dialogue possible.
`Go on.´
Heh. The “Go on.” string used in last month’s release is what we call a “master linked” string. Essentially, the conversation keeps referencing the same text guid to save on text and localization word count. Every month we have a fixed budget, and if changes to any content (like a conversation) come after our lockdown deadline, we have to solve the issue using master linked text.
In other words, while it’s funny that the convo kept saying “Go on” with every transition, it was due to a combination of a tight deadline and limited word count and not a stylistic choice.
