I noticed this a couple days ago and reported it in game, as well.
You guys are blazing, my 64bit client is capping at 1KB/s
I just completed 100% map completion in Verdant Brink and received nothing. How am I supposed to be able to craft any of the new legendaries when I can’t make a Gift of Maguuma? I have 100% world completion for pre-HoT, I’ve seen other people have the same issue.
Same thing, I just got 100% on VB and received diddly squat. And yes, there is a reward, this is what we should be getting:

Map Completion: No individual map rewards?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I just got 100% on Verdant Brink and nothing happened, no rewards, no exp. Nothing. So basically we’re being screwed out of being able to forge the legendary weapons requiring a Gift of Maguuma. Awesome.
A lot of people hate begging for help with things and dragging people, even their friends, out to the middle of nowhere to help them do something they can’t do on their own.
It’s one thing if it’s mutually beneficial, but it’s another entirely when I’m asking someone to go out of their way to help me.
But hey, who you are as an individual doesn’t matter. You should just be like the Pope there and suck it up and your life will be cake.
Btw, maybe I’m a little slow, but where is the S in MMORPG? You know, S for social, the Pope tells me that all those words that have nothing to do with being social still means social somehow. I’ve never understood why some people think the words multiplayer and social are synonyms.
Er 7m accounts over the total life of the game. If you don’t realize the game has far less active players than it did at launch then you aren’t looking hard enough.
Yeah, I’ve seen that. I was in one guild that had over two hundred members. I looked through the roster a couple weeks ago and there was roughly 8 of us that had logged-in in the last 6 months, and a lot of the dead accounts hadn’t logged-in in well over a year. It was very disheartening and a little scary to look through that roster of names and see so many dead accounts.
I always find it amusing to come to threads like this where you have people like butch and DistantStatic saying idiotic or insulting things and they don’t realize they are perfectly embodying the reason so many people prefer to solo.
I received a green reward chest from the Auric Basin meta chest that crashes my game every single time I click on it. It is still there when I load back up, wiggling and flashing.
I just got a green one from the Auric Basin meta event that is doing the same
I have this bug as well, just finished the Auric Basin meta event and it sits there, wiggling, taunting me. Every time I click on it, it immediately crashes the game and kicks me out to the error reporting thing.
The hero point icons (specifically the colors) need to be modified somehow. I don’t know if there is something wrong with my display (everything else seems to be fine), but there is very little difference between the completed and uncompleted hero points. They are tiny icons using a yellow and green scheme that they just seem to invert once you’ve completed it. Can you please do something different with the completed (or uncompleted) icon? Something that I can easily see when I pull up the map and not have to go through and mouse-over each one to see if it’s one I’ve completed or not. The change to the mastery point icons is awesome, could you do something like that?
Or an Inspector Gadget backpack that pops out a helicopter when you start to glide
And these are only the first batch of Elite Specializations. They will be making more that fill other niches. Personally I loved all the new ES’s, except the ranger/druid. The engineer with a hammer was so much fun to play, bouncing around, setting up fields and combos all over the place with your little drones zipping about. It was such enjoyable chaos.
I keep having this issue as well. Any progress on a fix yet?
I keep having this issue as well. I assume you’re talking about once you hit ‘apply’ your armor in the preview panel all turns the last color you used and stays that way until you restart your game?
i’ve seen this happen every time i’ve done marionette. I’ve always been in the overflow if that matters
And I’d say that Black lion claim ticket scraps are very easy to get from the black lion chests. Making it fairly easy to get 10 and buy one of the new weapon skins.
Are you really trying to say that the best and easiest way to get these skins is to spend real money on a RNG? :::mind blown:::
A lot of OP is false.
1. The nougat/fangs drop rate is about the same
2. Mad king armor drop rate is about the same (players got it last year mostly from chests)
3. The candy corn bag was a 10 slot
4. You can solo the prince instance this year.
5. The mobs in the labyrinth are about the same in difficulty, but there was a third “chest” boss in the center.
6. The maze is about the same if you are trying to solo this year as last, only this year it is harder because nobody is doing the horror who runs around and kills you if you are solo.
Apparently you are incredibly lucky or playing a different game than the rest of us. The OP is correct; you are very wrong here. I played the Halloween content more this year than last year and I have gotten less than a dozen nougat or fangs. Last year I had about 50 of each with the first 2 or 3 days. The drop rate has been nerfed into almost nonexistence. As for the armor pieces, I haven’t received a single one, and neither has the few friends I’ve asked about it. And no, the trash mobs running around in the labyrinth are much harder this year, more CC and way more hp. Trying to do it alone with a character under 80 isn’t fun, its just annoyingly tedious, and that’s not even taking into account the Horror wandering by and slaughtering you with 2 or 3 hits. This year’s sucks compared to last year.
yeah, the enemies in the maze scale horribly if you’re in there trying to solo it, which is pretty much the only option anymore. It’s not too bad if you can find 1 or 2 other people to run around with, but god help you if the labyrinthine horror wanders by. This wasn’t thought out very well other than what its like for the massive zergs during the first couple days after it launched
the rest of it is easy to work around, but the radar from standing on the teleporters make the game ultimately pointless if you’re a villager. It’s obvious they only intend for the courtiers to win, the game is overwhelming rigged in their favor
please summon abaddon ;D
would be a hell of a plot twist wouldn’kitten
Wouldn’t work. He was killed and his power was siphoned off to create a new god: Kormir. Even if they summoned him, he’d be without godhood, which would be kinda sad.
To avoid this very problem, I pulled up my achievements tab before zoning out of each map, to make sure I had received credit for each one. As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
oh, kitten , just go away scarlet!
I’m just wondering, where are the male/male pairings? Correctly me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think I’ve seen a single one in this game. Lesbians are cool but gay guys are icky, is that supposed to be the gist?
I wonder how people would feel if Scarlet took over the tower as her main base of operations. On one hand players finally get to go inside the tower they’ve been begging to play in since GW1, on the other hand it gets corrupted by Scarlet.
Please delete your comment before any devs see this. This is the worst idea EVER. I would cry tears of bloody rage if that were to happen.
A hand puppet would be just as popular in that regard.
Fighting Mr. Hand and his minions would be amazing… And you know Mr. Slave would have to make an appearance
Bread crumbs like this tend to be pretty difficult to connect into a meaningful narrative within the game itself when you don’t have a quest log to keep track of developments. A lot of people lose track of where to go, so getting the pieces of the story from various NPCs doesn’t work very well unless you’re going to do it with a long chain of “mail” basically hitting you over the head saying “go here, dummy”.
Things like this make me miss the old quests you’d get in GW1 that were reminiscent of scavenger hunts. One of my favorites with the one where you fought the dragon aspects scattered throughout the EotN areas where you got that strange coded message at the end of it. Good times. I miss the quest log
So one of the achievements that unlocks after you get your candy corn mini is “Upset Stomach”. It says 0 of 1 projectiles projected. Does anyone know how you get this?
and I find him by far the easiest of the 3. He’s not much more difficult than a veteran skeleton. And no, I don’t bring any condition removal. :::shrugs:::
why can’t people read before putting in their two cents? He is not asking about the Mad King, he is asking about the Labyrinthine Horror.
Extra options are nice and all, but I definitely want a Speedo for my toon
I’m impressed with the amount of disdainful arrogance Vayne manages to cram into each of his posts. Self-importance at its finest. Well done, sir.
That your true problem your playing the game for the wrong reason please stop trying to play it like a WoW minded mmorpg.
lol, good job on the arrogance. You completely missed every point the OP made and then make arrogant (and completely wrong) assumptions about what kind of player he is. What’s particularly amusing is that your suggestions boil down to largely learning to play this game like a “WoW minded mmorpg” and you don’t even see that.
I find it sadly amusing that the OP was infracted for an honest depiction of a lot of the problems in the game. GW2 is broken on a very basic, fundemental level. It is boring to play for any length of time. I haven’t even logged into the game in a couple months because adding extra content onto a broken system is still boring. The fight mechanics and extremely limited weapon skill sets are just tedious. I’ve gone back and played more GW1 in the last couple months than I have bothered to play GW2, even though I already have GWAMM and 50/50 in HoM. I wish I knew how to define what made GW1 such a fun and replayable game so I can point to it and say “Do this! This is what fun looks like!” but it’s something ephemeral and intangible, which GW2 is completely lacking. The only reason I haven’t uninstalled the game completely is I keep hoping they will make improvements down the line, a la expansions or makeover some of the game mechanics. Like in GW1 and the addition of heroes where you could customize the skills of the NPCs in your party, the game was awesome before that, but it opened up so many areas to a solo player who didn’t like being forced to play a certain class with a specific build in order to visit some of the high-end areas. It’s pretty heart-breaking to read that they have officially announced there won’t be any expansions to the game. I miss the magic that was GW1
You kidding me? Necros eat conditions every meal of the day. I know people that play Necro and they love it lol. They laugh in malicious laughter as the person they condition stack dies without them having to even get close.
Try facing a p/d thief, necros can remove and stack their bleedas on them maybe (5-8) stack and they will clean it while the skill the necros has is 90min CD, the thief doesn’t have CD and if you’re lucky to stack 8 bleeds on the thief good luck with that since the damage suck balls.
I’ll assume you meant 90sec.
Avoid the thief then. There are classes/builds certain classes/builds are better against. You can’t expect a single class to be on equal footing vs all other classes. For example, a guardian would have a hard time with ranged classes as opposed to other melee classes just due to the fact that they are not mobile enough and often have a harder time closing the distance gap.
I haven’t really been paying attention to necro patch notes but I’m just saying…
Play your strengths.
Avoid the thief then? Seriously, that’s your answer? “Excuse me, mister thief, please stop attacking me, I have no counter for you so I’m just going to walk away from you now. Theif? Stahp Thief! I’m avoiding you, stahp killing meeeeee….”
As for your ludicrous statement about guardians having difficulty closing the distance gap, have you never played one? They have multiple jumps, they can close gaps insanely easy. I’m confused as to which game you’ve been playing because I’m pretty sure it’s not GW2
Endgame means the stuff to do after you’ve maxed out your character and finished your personal story. It’s the stuff that (is supposed to) keep people playing after they hit 80 and have max gear. In a lot of games endgame=geargrind
My biggest problem with the final event was the two huge batches of “reinforcements” that the ancient karka summons: the hordes of Veteran Young Karka. Those parts should have been cut down to about a third of the number of summons, it was just tedious. It wasn’t difficult or fun, you basically just stood there walking back and forth avoiding the few red circles while auto-attacking for the 45 minutes it took to get through each of them. It wasn’t a bad idea, just the number of kills it took to progress the bar was excruciatingly boring. I don’t mind a long drawn-out event like that, I enjoyed the different objectives you had to accomplish as you herded him back to the hive, but those two parts (the 2 batches of reinforcements) just went on and on.
It’s not just the armor, but the color palette used as well. Could just be coincidence, just thought it was interesting
Has anyone else noticed that Miyani looks like a Paragon from GW1? Wonder if that means anything?
lol, brilliant. knew i had seen those things before
Actually, Wazabi, it does affect us. I like being able to sell my stuff immediately to the bidder instead of listing it and waiting for it to sell, yet the Sell button is almost always greyed out. There is no reason why the dev’s don’t block people from entering bids that are below the minimum threshold. Having to see these ridiculously low bids that can’t ever be fulfilled is just asinine.

Darkhaven as well. It’s the last thing I need for map completion and the frog’s been dead for days.
