These are the ones I use for my Elementalist, but they do not fit the description for “regular pants without butt capes etc.” It is really unnerving that you can’t get cool casual pants for women like many of the female NPCs across Tyria are wearing.

Gliding is awesome and I hope ANet keeps it in WvW imo.
But that OW exploit needs to be fixed. Easiest way to fix that is probably to just extend the area so people can’t use that ledge for gliding anymore.
Personally I would just get the Copper-fed and use Mystic Salvage kits for the rares. But that’s just me

No you can’t. 1800 seems to be the maximum because of the way the projectiles are set up. After that you get ‘out of range’ and deal no damage.
What I find ridiculous is the constant ‘OBSTRUCTED’ when you’re at the same level as your target even when you’re within 600 range. That makes longbow a very hit-or-miss weapon to this day as it never got fixed.

In WvW even when standing on top of a wall shooting down 1800 range seems to be the absolute max of my arrows. On flat terrain my range does not seem to exceed 1500-1600 as I just tested it by shooting chickens at north camp. I get ‘out of range’ while my bird kills them (and pets have a leash range of 2000 as I recall).
Now it’s possible that ‘Lead the Wind’ might also increase the maximum range due to the 10% attack speed or because it adds piercing but I can’t be sure.

But sharing 2 year old screenshots with random things scribbled on or posting a 2 year old video titled ‘Why Longbow is OP’ with no actual measurable data are of little use to anyone in my opinion.

EDIT: I was told by a guildmate who was in EB at the time that we took that tower from you guys fair and square earlier. But then when it got contested and he came to check and he saw you guys already in the lord room with no walls or door down. So you guys from Far Shiverpeaks have been gliding in there as well and now pretend that we’re the bad guys. Deso players just got sick of you guys using that exploit yourselves and returned the favor. So don’t pretend to be all noble now.
I do agree that it has to be fixed though. Now anyone can just cap that camp and glide in for a freebie tower.

In addition to that I would have LOVED to have the Mistfire Wolf (elite from GW2 Deluxe) as a Ranger pet. It just looks awesome and it’s ‘Mistfire Storm’ special ability where it summons pups that rain down as AoE could serve perfectly as F2 skill.

The class basically got nerfed into the ground when Jon Peters was at the helm up until 2015. This constant nerfing of Rangers while buffing other classes (especially Warrior) caused all the Ranger-hate from other people and why our class always got kicked first from fractals and dungeons.
Some of you may not remember JP’s antics but the infamous shortbow firerate nerf where his explanation (excuse) made no logical sense and the blanket nerf to pet damage (because they would supposedly ‘hit more reliably’ now when they still didn’t) are still fresh in my mind. There was even a massive thread at the time where we could offer our suggestions for fixing the class and JP participated. But nothing significant ever came out of that so I assume it was just meant as a pacifier to keep people contained.
Now Ireno has to pick up the pieces and try to undo what JP did. Fact remains that you could basically take any of our skills/traits and compare them to similar skills/traits from other classes. Then you will find out that Ranger always had either longer cooldowns or less useful skills.
Back in the day JP basically only cared about making Warrior as easy-mode as possible so he could play his signet warrior in sPvP. Even watching old devstreams with him talking about the classes made that painfully clear. And when he had to nerf Healing Signet he told everyone that it must be done in small steps (while still applying massive nerfs to every other class).
There was another dev during that time but I forgot his name. His favorite class was Thief and it showed. His excuse to killing a thief was ‘lots of AoE’.
Just my opinion.
Was in Siren’s Landing after doing all the hearts when everything froze up. Now I can get to the character select screen but get a ‘Network Error’ message after a while and it kicks me back to desktop.
That character also states that she is in Bitterfrost Frontier now. I sure hope I didn’t lose my last 30 minutes in Siren’s Landing.

Even though it seems that ANet has completely given up on underwater combat they never even bothered to add some underwater utility skills to the rest of the legends.
Makes me wonder if Kalla will even have underwater utilities of if ANet will just forget those as well in their rush to meet the deadline and will be blank just like Glint, Ventari and Jalis.
I personally would have loved to have received some underwater utilities for Glint and the other legends which are still missing theirs.
And that flat ‘hologram’ on the ground still looks like it was a 5 minute rushjob to meet the deadline. Instead I would have loved to have had different color crystals floating near me instead of that wierd hologram.
Then I want an commander tag with little angel wings.
People that play Druid shouldn’t be allowed to whine about getting hit by nerfs. Druids are the main reason the Ranger has been getting nerfed for the last 2.5 years. Also this weird change is nothing new, We had the same thing happen 2.5 years ago when they announced HoT and we got a lot of our skills and traits changed to fit a certain ideal that Anet wants the Ranger to have. They just pushed the Ranger even further into that ideal this time around.
Rangers have been getting hit by nerfs since launch back in 2012 though, so nothing new here.
Same here. When I swap pets it’s just sitting there for several seconds doing absolutely nothing now and F2 feels very unresponsive as well.
Hey, I just found a GW2 picture of a Griffon mount. Did Anet decide to exclude that one? It looks pretty cool.

We are already getting the ability to dye our Mounts. It’s shown in the various videos of early Demo gameplay out there.
Oh, they already showed that the colors of the mounts can be changed? Must have missed that.
Hope I can change my Jackal to look more like the Mistfire Wolf. And I’d even be willing to pay some gems on the Gem Store for an actual Mistfire Wolf skin.

Well, you don’t have to set it to Tuesdays just because I chose that day to get the key. You could do it every Saturday if that works out better for you. It’s just that reset occurs on Mondays.

The idea is the raptor is the “basic” skin for its archetype/family, in much the same way there is a “basic” skin for the glider in HoT.
It’s the skin you start off with when first unlocking that “class” of mounts.
Well, your idea certainly has merit and I wouldn’t mind more diversity.
Personally I fear ANet will just try to sell us different skins through the gemstore which would be limited innature and only affect the colors of the mount (so possibly not even any ability to change the colors ourselves).

Heh, I must admit that I always felt a little guilty when I had to spam a ton of tomes because I was boosting a character to 80.
Those little Lvl40 Experience Scrolls I got for birthdays of my older characters were nice but still caused me to broing-broing-broing 40 times to get to 80.
So usually I just started running from the bank to a random area on the map while spamming tomes so it wouldn’t be smack-dab at the bank for everyone to hear. Trust me, after boosting my 6 ‘human god’ characters even I got fed up with the constant sound.
But any change would also affect regular level-up as the effect is tied to the xp-bar and not the tome.
So if I were to make a suggestion:
Make a vendor item for Miyani where people can turn 10 Tomes of Knowledge into 1 Tome of Wisdom which instantly grants 10 levels when consumed.
After all, Miyani already has an item that converts 20 Writs of Experience into 1 Tome of Knowledge. So why not one that converts 10 Tomes of Knowledge into 1 Tome of Wisdom?
That way people without any Experience Scroll merely need to click on 8 Tomes of Wisdom and people with (for instance) a lvl40 Experience Scroll only need to click on 4 tomes to get to 80.
(Reason I opted for 10 Tomes for 1 Master conversion is because the Experience Scrolls go from 20-30-40-50-60 afaik)
Reset is always on Monday, so just run your character through on Tuesday and you won’t miss out on any key.
I ran my 6 ‘human god’ characters through recently. I just parked them all at the final stage (in my case “The Trial of Julius Zamon”) and every Tuesday I took one character through. This always got me my free key.
Changing reset to every 5 days would just mess everything up and be way too confusing.
I think the fastest and easiest change for ANet is to simply allow for the gathering nodes to give 1 for each ‘tick’ instead of the 0-1 with hardcap they have now.
Just turn the Bloodstones, Jade Shards, Petrified Stumps and Primordial Orchids into regular gathering nodes that give you 3 per node.
I already have 3 stacks of Orrian Pearls because they are so easy to get (and daily lootbox that can give 20-50 bonus if you’re lucky) but this old 0-1 RNG with hardcap of the older LS areas is no longer needed in my opinion. I farmed the entire Bloodstone Fen map a couple days ago and only got 5 measly rubies from harvesting all the nodes. So yeah, then it’s no wonder that I’d rather go in WvW with the reward track for 50.
LOL! So now Balthazar is a ripoff of some demon lord in WoW just because they are both powerful beings who use fire? Clearly you misunderstand where Blizzard themselves ripped off norse mythology with Ragnaros.
Ragnaros = based on norse mythology (Surt/Ragnarok)
Balthazar = based on greek mythology (Ares)
Why isn’t anyone here talking about the clipping issue with this outfit on Norn males? (see image attached below)
Pretty amazing that a Deluxe edition bonus is so poorly implemented. I know clipping is a problem for a lot of skins, but this is supposed to be an incentive for players to buy the higher tiers of the expac and as it stands this will probably turn a lot of players off.
Also, the outfit honestly looks so basic to me. I’m really tempted to load up a human character and do a mix-and-match armor set to see how close we can get to this outfit with current armor skins.

Someone else also commented that they saw more ornate versions in the videos so it may be similar to where we could buy Plated weapons in HoT and then convert to Machined versions through a collection achievement.

Yeah, ‘Spearmarshall’s Presence’ is actually just a Sunspear Recruit outfit; not Sunspear Marshal armor that Kormir wore in GW1 (which was the image in the post I was responding to).
I would have LOVED a Sunspear Marshal outfit but I guess I’ll have to wait until ANet releases it in the gemstore as “Kormir’s Regalia outfit” or something so I can use it on my character called “Augur Of Kormir”.
That outfit is a throwback to GW, or so I’m told.

I doubt we’ll ever get this one but I would LOVE to get the Mistfire Wolf (from the original GW2 Deluxe) as a Ranger pet! It’s special F2 ability could then have it summon the pups!

Yes, the Hyena F2 can summon an extra hyena.
The Mistfire Wolf was a bit different as it was more of a spell where it summoned the ‘pups’ which then launched themselves into the air and rained on a location as projectiles. So it was more of an AoE.
