Not to sound ungrateful or anything but, im genuinely amazed that you guys decided to give us back our tails. sadly the way you worded it makes me think that you took them away on purpose. You haven’t really done much to support your non human races, heck at this point i don’t even mind the clipping anymore but taking away our horns and tail is just not ace.

The chaos axe was the only chaos weapon in the first game, literally it was a glowing blob in the shape of an axe that you could dye, the heck are they going to do to expand on that?

the skin was basic and ugly in the first game, not really sure why they chose that skin set to bring back

With the new part of the story just released, I have seriously started to question the Living Story and the most powerful character in the world-“you” the player character.
Lets get a couple of issues out of the way before I begin.
I do know that the game mechanics and what they can do with such a tight schedule is limited and I accept that.
I also know that the reason we are made central in this story, like most if not all games in general is to give you a sense of accomplishment and worth. This I accept and understand too.

Ok, now to my issue. “You” have way too much power. In fact so much power that it is taking away any believability factor in the story. Its just got to ridicilous levels.
Anet have said time and time again that they want to create a Living world, one that you can feel part of as it evolves. Right now, I feel the world is only evolving if my Player Character(PC) gets involved.
My PC seems to be involved in everything, a lot of it has no relevance at all to who you are supposed to be according to the story.
Nearly every single fantastical event that occurs in the world, not only do I find my self present at, but also sorting out the problems relating to them. I have gone from being the Pact commander, to a dogsbody.
In this episode of mostly nonsence, I find myself trying to uncover a devious and just seemingly pulled out of a hat plot invlolving Krytan Politics.

My character is a Charr and dosent give a kitten about that. Lets overlook the race specific issue for a moment and look at what we have to do.
Somehow and for some reason its up to us to slove the queens problems. Does she not have her own advisors and royal council? Why us? Why would she not use her own staff? Not only is it a bizzare turn of events, its an event that jars you out of the story once again. Its a seriously pointless filer.

After we sort that out, we then have to contend with another problem in the form of asuran politcs with our band of “heros” that are pretty useless when you look at it.
And it gets better. After getting everyone to agree in the last LS episode on a meeting, we then have to convince them all again. A few quick words and they all half hearted give in . Yaaaa for us!

A battle ensues, everyone helps at first. The dragon shows up and you..yes you alone are left to fight the dragon. Seriously? Thats what irked me most. All of a sudden our PC is standing toe to toe single handed(im my case single pawed) fighting a dragon.
The battle of Claw island was a chapter I felt that gave you a scale of what it was like to fight a dragon. Working with lots more troops and weapons. I think its gone too far now.
There is suspending belief, and then there is story writing and mechanics so bad that they pull you out of the world.
The two best parts IMO, where the short graphic video from the pale tree(that had more story potential than all the previous fluff), and the fact the Charr present saluted the imperator like you would expect Charr to do.That simple act, felt like a living story. One that I was part of, not just creating so I could get from A to B with no care whatsoever.

I really want to enjoy the story. I have put in over 3000 hours into this game. I only stay in the game for the roleplay, and I buy from the gem store to show my support on a regular basis. I am just getting more and more frustrated and bored at these “story” updates that do nothing but pull me further away from the world. I hate this, as I belive there are fantastic moments and this game has a lot of potential.

Do you feel the same? Do you think I am being too harsh or overly critical, or do you find that the story is actually causing you to feel seperate from the world we are supposed to living in?

You do know how this kind of stuff works right? when it comes to politics you never get yourself, anyone affiliated with you, or anyone you know to start looking in to things like this. the countess herself said it best shes some one closely connected to the queen, so her word and anyone she orders to look in to it and say that these are just roomers are going to be taken with a grain of salt. Also, my character is a charr as well and he very much cares about the goings on in kryta, if the queen is lost there goes the treaty with the charr, if the queen is lost we lose some one who is more willing to work with us and the other races then the ministry, we lose a lot if we dont help her out.

did the game really go from “they dont give the player enough credit, attention, influence, power” etc etc to, “Woah now why do we have so much power/influence” like are you guys ever going to be happy?

A friend of myn was never able to change his password after he was sent an account password reset email from anet after he forgot his password each time he clicked the link and tryed to change his password it said that it couldnt. He recently tryed again but now doesnt remember his character names. What should he do to get his account back? if he needs to re open a ticket could i get a link to send him?

My charr and his brothers have the same mind set, they dont care so long as they have orders not to. They stay away from humans as frequently as they can to avoid any confrontation outside of separatists.

Except glory is going to be nuked out of the game so it wouldnt really work for too long if at all

As much as i hate the fact that they decided to listen to people like you, they are going to add a dueling system eventually but i dont know how or when.

Honestly there is no pleasing any of you, youre all so bitter and have your own expectations that when anet trys something that does not meat your standerd its bad. I also am rather sure that they got the point of “we hate scarlet yada yada yada” loud and clear but they cant just up and kill her off and pretend it never happend as of the amazing sugestions on the forums said they should do. A lot of you just want instint gratification and want it all in one big go and even then if they did a “traditional expansion” what will you do when your done? what if it doesnt have this or that? what if it didnt take you where you wanted? you wont be happy even if you get it. Lets not also forget that gw1 had three campaings and eotn as an expansion then years of nothing. Litterly no content updates outside of the holiday stuff. guild wars beyond didnt come around till the sixth or seven year it was out so no it didnt have all these amazing expansions.

Each time my friend goes to change his password from the link in his email it gives it tells him they where unable to do so and to re use the link but it keeps saying the same thing. What should he do?

mounts are cool…you should add them but make them hard to get! like having to do a really difficult, hard to find quest to get them. Also hard to get mounts will make the player unique in the game think about it! just dissable them in some areas!

+1 to this thread i would love more balance of showy armor for males as well as armor that covers females etc.

also thats the same excuse they use to put scarlet in things “She got a hold of it secretly” so no also thats the most terrible excuse because the plauge was wiped out without any of it being left

The plot points are set in stone so youll have to wait for her story to be over so stop complaning and actually post something constructive so they do better on the next story. They are not going to give us dragon after dragon after dragon because that would get old as well and they want to save those for bigger things probably their form of expansions

Except she does have a place in that fractal because they wrote it that way. Regardless they cant and wont remove here. This isnt the first thread to remove her from something and it wont be the last but regardless of your hate you really need to take in to consideration the limitations they have on things like that.

You already have a bunch of diffrent ways to get points to get the achievement chests a weekly thing isnt really anything that would add up as they would still only add up to a 20 point boost if they keep it to you only doing 4

i dont think itll work as well because the weapons and build tend to go hand in hand for most classes, for engi and ele it would be a blessing but more a side option for other classes imo

Add to wvw and make it more intristing? you mean zerging on mounts?

Im sure they will expand it eventualy like they did with the trinkets

Haha. Except no you dont speak for everyone i dont want mounts in the game perioud. Plane and simple. It could slow you down, only used in town etc etc i wouldnt want it in the game

Alright then lets talk mechanicly, how would it work? at the moment the system only supports for what they have now. They would need to dedicate building a new system for the cross armor transmutation. Resources that could be better used on other things. On top of the fact that WvW large scale doesnt effect WvW small scale. If i was scouting around and i was a glass thief and saw what i thought was an ele all on his own then i rushed only to find it was a guardian or warrior in cloth armor. And if we stricktly keep it in pve what about players that do wvw and pve do we force them to have diffrent sets of armor and not use them in wvw?

Those partical effects and so on dont always get noticed in the middle of combat. Either way as mutch as many people would like it this seems like something that doesnt seem plausible

When they are first introduced crafting will be the only way to get asceneded gear, if i remember the weapons can be gotten from your rank chests in wvw

The reason they dont want this in the game is because the want you to be able to tell and distinct each class from one another (talking if they are a soldier, caster, adventurer)

Im afrade this goes against the whole thing anet is about, and im against race change. Not to mention it would be a big hassle to implement with the personal story stuff. Lets stack on top of the fact that you said you didnt want to re lvl the char so people saying that it could only be done if it shot you down to lvl 1 again and you had to do the whole thing all over again wouldnt work for you either.

Exactly! For me its less about being manly and more about how i would like my character to look. As mutch as i enjoy the current sets in the game non of em itch the particuler scratch i have.

No one outside of gw1 players should be allowed in the HoM imo. Regardless of what they do with him if they want a locker npc add it to the home instance and make it more useful. Im still brooding over the use of the fellblade skin for the “new” boss weapon skins

First off, no on the stat parts. That would be a nightmare in pvp and second, how do you think this would affect charr players?

I think it would, and besides its still good to have the option right? Cloth and leather get these nice reique(sp) armour sets as well as sets that cover up but all i know is that heavy excluding two or three sets juste covers everything

I think we could use more sexy armors in the game for males of all the armor types. Anyone else think so too? things like the gladiator set are what im thinking along the lines of.

Doing halloween dailys, as well as other things like shut doors etc or kill the three bosses in the labyrinth. Dulfy has a guide on it as well.
