That build is pretty good for zergs! I like all of the concentration you have there. I would recommend a food that has concentration and a sharpening stone utility. Your honor and virtues lines are decent. I would swap the DH for radiance if you are doing zerging though. The buffs to retaliation for guardians are very very strong. Greatly increases your damage. I would highly recommend trying it out. This is just my preference though DH can work as well.

Please, please, please Anet… We all want our staff back. We don’t have a ranged weapon for WvW now :’(

This option would be so helpful for those with color blindness. It may not affect the majority of your players but would make a huge impact for a sizable group of people.

I completely agree. This update isn’t a massive one to WvW but it is still a great update nonetheless. It’s amazing how just this little bit of attention brings so much joy and participation to such a large group of people. I love it. Thank you anet!

I am not sure why you want to transfer off of Crystal Desert… The guys that you are talking about are from the kD guild from IoJ. They are just two guys that you can easily block and then never have to deal with again. That’s what most people did on CD when we were matched up with GoM. I’m not sure if you two are in a guild or not on CD but there are plenty of good guilds that you could join. Almost everyone is kind and respectful on CD. We are known for it.

I run it on my meditation guardian and it is baller. Everyone else uses shelter while I continue to pump out heals while staying alive and supporting my team. It gives me way more heals and works perfectly with “Monk’s Focus — Using a meditation skill heals you and grants fury to allies in a radius. Meditation skills have reduced recharge.” and “Smiter’s Boon — Smite conditions when you use a healing ability.” I am honestly surprised more people aren’t using this combination. Monk’s focus works so well. Helps to put out a ton of damage and also clears lots of conditions.

This would actually kill t1 if this happens. T4 is actually very balanced and competitive right now. And there is more activity (much more in fact) on the T4 matchup than T1. I am basing this off of the amount of kills and deaths per server in each respective matchup. T1 as a whole has around 58k kills and/or deaths while T4 has around 85k kills and/or deaths. I find that extremely interesting… More kills on the lower tiers. Yes, there are multiple servers linked up together, but still…

I was welcomed warmly by a friendly ET guild pre-HoT X-pac as I were curious about ET’s state of form as a ‘rock bottom’ server; the players of ET are good natured and work together in what small numbers we had at the time. I must say, it was certainly a buzz-kill being steamrolled by DR + FC many times by sheer numbers, however, one must note I am OCX so obviously those times are even more dead for T8 servers I suppose and it’s natural to be outnumbered a lot.

On my time spent in ET for those few months I had a few whispers from enemies telling me at least I tried to defend. Whether they were being sarcastic or not it leads me to believe certain ET players have a knack for siege placement + defending objectives till friends arrive. Well, at least the people who were kind enough to introduce me to how they play small-scale WvW knew the in’s and out’s of siege placement & played smart with their numbers against opponents.

What is it like now? I do not know… such a sad state WvW is in.

WvW is great down here (at least for ET). We have a blast working together and responding to calls. My guild loves to find big groups and wipe them when we can. It is awesome to actually care about your servers well being. I am having more fun down here in T8 then I did in T4. It is probably due to the fact that I can get on EB whenever I want and I don’t get insta blobbed (maybe ganked tho lol).

Hey my man! Glad to see an ET’er here! I am a member of Flames of Courage [FoC] here on Eredon Terrace. We require our members to be very active in the guild. We rally in WvW every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday around 8:00 PM EST for our official rallies. Then the other nights are willy-nilly in terms of what people do. Hey guys and gals. I am on Eredon Terrace in T8 NA and everyone on the server is having a good time. We still love playing WvW. It seems like we are the only server with happy people.

Cool stats. Really shows how big the population difference is. I’m on Eredon Terrace in T8 and I am loving it along with my whole guild and the rest of my server. Only hearing bad things on the upper servers.

I am still having a blast and I am even in T8 NA! My guild and I recently transferred back down to our home of ET and we have been having a blast down here. Relaxed and we actually have good fights down here as well. There are a surprising amount of people during prime time.

DON’T listen to these guys saying every aspect of WvW sucks. Because it doesn’t. They are just coming onto the forums being cry babies. Anet is doing some balances mid January if I remember correctly which will help some of the big problems.

bold Totally agree with you. This is getting out of hand with these changes. I honestly dont believe they talk to people who actually play WvW and they are just assuming the changes would be worth while.

kathy… stop being a debbie downer. This is a wonderful change to how it currently is and as an update to WvW as a whole. Be happy that we got a response and some change. Be excited. Discouraging mindless blob k-trains is a good thing. And being able to rally one guy from one down is good. And not being able to res in combat is a good thing so that we can finish battles.

I don’t think the BL is that bad. I actually like it and so does a lot of my guild. It’s not perfect but its not terrible. I am tired of all the negative going around here about WvW so if you feel the same way post here! Have a good day/night everyone!

Rest In Peace Eredon Terrace…

In t4 we only ever had queues on EB. At one point it was 50+. No queues on any of the BL’s but there were guild groups from each server running on each BL it seemed. A lot more people are coming back or checking out WvW as they have done a lot of the HoT stuff and now that Halloween is over.

Here on Northern Shiverpeaks we had a great reset (we had a surprisingly large amount of guilds rally for tonight)! We found plenty of Dragonbrand and some Darkhaven to fight. I love how big they are and the variety of terrains across the map. The oasis is a great event that is a ton of fun! Most of my guildies and I are having fun learning the new mechanics of the map even if some of them kitten us off. LOL
The biggest complaint from my guildies and I though is the rate at which upgrades go at in keeps and towers. Fortified walls and gates in under two hours is way too fast. Add in all the siege that is auto built in the keep. It’s an impenetrable fortress!

GIVE THE MAPS/DEVS TIME

I love HoT!!! Everything is awesome! The Guild Hallow and guild upgrades are awesome, same with the new fractal system, crafting materials, story (amazing), maps (beautiful/great events), elite specs, masteries. So much fun!!! I really want to thank you guys at Anet for making this game and allowing me to have so much fun with it. Everyone in my guild (FoC on NSP) loves HoT as well!

Okay I have heard more people say they like it than dislike it…. And to the OP it is true. Everyone is playing PvE. Whether it be the HoT story, exploring the new maps, doing fractals/dungeons, and most importantly upgrading their guild halls!!!

Everyone please stop complaining about WvW. Anet did a good job. Plain and simple. It is the players that are making sound so crappy. The map is great. Yes there aren’t many people but they will be returning in the coming weeks. And yes there are some things that they need to fix but the mechanics and flow of the map are not terrible.

It is most certainly not dead. You are just going to have to wait a few weeks for everyone to do a lot of the HoT stuff and then get back into their regular WvW rallies.

I love the look of the new BL. They are beautiful. But I agree with all of your points. One of the reason you haven’t seen anyone is most likely due to everyone doing all the PvE stuff. Map is too big and too complex. But I need to wait and see how reset is and how my guild rally goes before I make too harsh a judgement. Oh and the automatic upgrades on everything is going way too fast. It takes 4 hours to t3 a keep? I don’t think so. The most realistic amount of time would be 6-8 hours. It is so difficult to take down t3 towers/keeps constantly without a k-train.
