Will the charr camera bob up and down when they run? I know when weapons are out they lope everywhere but what about when out of combat? (Missed the Twitch feed so if this was answered there….sorry.)

Hi
I’m looking for a WvW guild that is friendly and active. I do have a commander tag, but I rarely use it. I dislike leading a zerg around but sometimes pin up for ET borderlands in times when there is little people. I’m mainly on afternoons/evenings EST.
My main is a thief and that is what I will play 99% of the time. The only other 80 I have is a warrior. < Dont ask me to play it, I think its boring ; )

Unfortunately my computer has a really bad virus that probably won’t be removed without wiping it. I was just wondering what the best way is to get gw2 back onto it. Should I just reinstall? (I don’t know if I can find the serial) or put the game on a USB.

I’ve just begun the quest for Incinerator. Will the footprints still show up when invisible?

Right now, WvW map completion can be difficult because the maps don’t switch around that often (especially if on a low tier server).
What if someone who wants to finish the map could become a ghost of sorts? They would not be able to affect anything on the map. No killing lords, enemies, or getting supply ect. Nor could they be killed themselves. In return someone as a “ghost” would be able to get into any tower, castle or camp no matter what server it belonged to.
But since that could be abused, maybe all enemy players (and siege?) should become invisible to the “ghosts.” so no reporting of movements around the map.

It could help purely PvE players, legendary hunters (or anybody else)

Baby Necro here (level 33 atm) Currently running full conditions with Staff and S/D. I know conditions aren’t the best in PvE but I like them.

But…
At 80 what type of Necromancer build is best for wvw/dungeons/pve? I’m too poor to buy a bunch of armor sets and swap :P Will conditions still work just fine? (Either 30/20/10 or 20/30/10)

The first time I joined in the fight was on ET, and in the last 2 mins. We had far from enough people to beat him. Then taking someone’s advice I went to Blackgate to see how the fight was with organization. In overflow (which wasn’t all bad) At least a 100 players were there and 4 commanders. Again we lost, but only because those fighting the dragon didn’t WP on death.

The fight was hard. And I loved it. Instead of being a mindless zerg pressing 1 repeatedly, planning was needed. Everyone there was helpful in giving instructions; in fact I have never seen this much direction even in wvw. During the fight people who had never done it before (including me) learned a lot. Next time I will be on my warrior and up against the dragon itself.

The only things I can think to change off the top of my head to change:
Kick players off the turrets if they are AFK for 30 secs/min
Better rewards-at least an exotic or more then 1 gold.
Less spawn rates for those things that down you instantly if you get too close (Can’t think of the name)

Please Anet, make the other world bosses close to this. Maybe make each of them a different level of difficulty?

I already have a level 80 warrior and thief and ele/necro/ranger/mesmer doesn’t really appeal to me right now. Playtime is pretty much split between WvW and PvE.
Both classes really look interesting, so I need other opinions on how they do in both game settings.

I did all the achievements and was waiting to get a back piece for a character when they hit 80. But when I decided to just use it on another, I couldn’t find it anywhere. Its in no inventory or bank. I wouldn’t destroy it. Is there a way to get it back?

Ok let me get this straight before i pick your build apart , you want maximum burst right?

On top of this, I think it would help to understand what you are trying to achieve exactly? As Bama questioned, did you want outright bursting or CC? The only times you really see TK, FT, and Rifle together are if you want to throw people around, which is quickly thwarted with stability. A little bit more information on your desired role is necessary.

Bursting and a bit of CC which is why I chose the rifle. (I also dislike pistols and shield)

First time trying to make a build of my own. Not expecting it to be great :P Please tear it apart!

Weapon would be Rifle and possibly Rampagers gear. Trinkets would be something with toughness/vit in them.

Utilites: Grenade Kit and Flamethrower Kit. I don’t know about the rest.

Explosives- 30. Exploit Weakness (or Empowering Adrenaline) , Short Fuse, Grenadier.

Firearms 30. Hair Trigger, Juggernaut, Napalm Specialist.

Tools 10. Speedy Kits.

Thanks for all the help This will give me some options.

Try placing AOE on yourself and then dodging away. Use Glue Shot if you are running pistol/pistol. For grenades try Flash Grenade and Freeze Grenade and then try to put distance.
If the thief goes into stealth give it a couple seconds and then place aoe/dodge or swap it.

Most Thieves are built for being glass cannon and dealing extremely high damage. The downside is if they don’t down someone almost right away, the fight usually turns badly for them. One mistake and its pretty much over.

I should have said I need a PVE/WvW build

I know I am going to go 30 into explosives, but I have no idea where the rest should go to complement condition/power.

Gear & Weapons:
Is carrion armor/weapons decent for a cond. engie? (pistol/pistol) I don’t want to focus on crits, mainly survival. For runes I was planning 5x Rune Of The Nightmare and 1 Rune of the Undead/Necromancer. Accessories I have no idea.

Any help would be awesome I’m not at 80 yet, but I wanted to start collecting some gear.

If I watch someone smash the piñata the whole way, it vanishes. But if I turn away while they do it and look back after its still there.

Because I really don’t want to do dragon ball or the moa races if it doesn’t count.
And If they do count, is there an option of doing something else instead?

Here it is! Its based off another build I found on here, which I tweaked a bit to make it a little bit more offensive. I’m still unsure about the utility skills and the runes.

I am running full berserkers right now, except for runes.
Is there a rune that gives toughness or vitality and some extra crit dmg (damage) as well?

Recently we moved to another house and in the insanity, the serial code was accidently thrown away when someone helped look through my things. I’ve torn apart my room and cannot find the thing.
If there is a way to prove I own this account and can get the serial for it, please tell me. I don’t want to get into a situation when I need it, and cannot get help.

I’m looking for a build that still does decent damage (at least 2,500) But still has a good amount of toughness and HP.
Which weapon set would be best for high damage? GS/Hammer or GS/Sword Torch/Focus?

I agree! But the cycles shouldn’t be too short.

Off topic: maybe there could be thunder storms, blizzards and rain in wvw too. The ground could be slippery after/during the snowfall or have a movement penalty.

- more medium armor without trench coats.
-Heavy armor without skirts.
- Like the OP said class armor
- Shadow armor: Like the necro life force form but not as strong.
- More options for body covering light armor.

I’ll probably think of more later.

The Mesmer will be the next thing I level, but I’m having trouble deciding which race. I dislike running around basically naked, but everyone says light armor looks horrible on a charr. And I have no interest in Asura or Norn.

Does anyone have level 80 human/sylvari toons that are decently covered? Or a charr that looks decent?

If you just bought level 40 gear/weapons I would wait to switch over.
Condition builds worked very nicely for leveling. I am able to tag many mobs at once for extra loot and EXP. So, I would wait until level 80 to switch.

I just reached level 65 on my thief. So far I have been running a condition heavy build and it is pretty powerful. Nothing like bleeding fifteen+ creatures to death all at once!
But, every person I have talked to so far says go burst, its the only thing that works at lvl 80.

I know how strong burst is, but I dislike the low health pool and play style. However, I don’t want to be totally useless in PvE/WvW or give up the thief altogether.

Advice would be awesome!

I am level 45 at the moment and running D/D SB. I know there are better sets for cond. damage and would like to know what they are.

I did all of Roxs and Bahrams stories and the dungeon and never got the achievement for the dungeon.
Is there any way to fix this?
