Your complaint is invalid, you can hit the trebs setup anywhere around the vista, someone told me off these super spots that can’t be hit near the vista. Untrue the RS treb operator took my treb out in 4 hits a couple of weeks ago. Next time use a friend to range your treb shot before any enemy shows up.

Where exactly do you want people to go, there are limited targets for Gandara to hit so ofc lots of people will be in same place. Also this is a good week for the pugs of Gandara so there are so many more people than usual. We’ve had 1 hour queue’s prime time and haven’t seen that for months. It’s unfortunate that you are on the receiving end, but we can’t be held responsible for the match-up.

To AS I admire your courage and it would be a shame if you gave up at any point this week, you thus far have gained many points on your evolution which should lead to a more balanced match-up next week.

To Gandara any form of gloating with screenshots etc is really beneath you and should stop. Remember it could be next week you are on the receiving end of a very similar situation if we get the wrong match-up. Enjoy the week that is and the stuff it yields you but no need to humiliate your adversaries.

because if you actually play FOTM you NEED those rings; unlike WvW.

If you were to learn to read you would of seen that Infusions specific to WvW will be released therefore I need the WvW rings. Also you don’t need rings at all to do fractals at lvl 10 no one forces you to go higher to attain rings.

Last week stopped a 6 golem raid dead in its tracks with burning oil. Granted I’ll be rank 300 before I ever put points into burning oil but occasionally it has it’s uses.

Also there are many people who do nothing but cap camps and tag doors in the off hours, just because someone doesn’t play your style doesn’t make their game play invalid. I would think they would max both the defense and attack ranks against guards.

If your trying to get your 50 kills possibly the easiest way is to sit in a structure that’s being attacked on a superior arrow cart. If your server is terrible use normal arrow carts but it might take a few days.

The new matchup’s could be brilliant but could also be a complete disaster. The chests full of really useful stuff will probably equate to more stuff to leave in the bank and forget about (hope I’m wrong). Ascended stuff all I can say is finally. Lack of back piece and accessories, they may or may not introduce them later but to be fair the accessories are fairly easy to get and the backpiece missing is a case of either do the fractals or just ignore the small amount of stats it gives you and wear what you have.

If you want to add really radical stuff, how about I can kick people from party. Whisper people in guild and perhaps make the commander tag somewhat useful other than a location finder on the map and a supply checker

Happened a lot all day, primarily Garrison on Gandara BL but also in lake, at vale, at gates of briar, on ruins and reports of it happening in EBG. No problems anywhere on Millers or FSP

Is it Ironic that a server who busted a gut to get rid of Gandara is now begging us to stop fighting so we can face them again ?

Whole day became pretty tedious due to the crash bug all over Gandara bl. Anet doesn’t crash reports from hundreds of players multiple times even warrant a reply let alone a fix ?

The Dragons are busy crafting Ascended stuff for WvW, they’ll be here when they’ve finished.

Only if it magically appears in my mail on the day its released, free of charge and for all 9 of my characters otherwise NO

Top reasons from people I know for quitting WvW :-
1. being continually wiped by the zerg
2. PVD, game is just a goldsink if no 24 hour coverage
3 computer cant handle zerg warfare
4 the repetitiveness, 3 maps are basically the same
5 roaming is pretty pointless peak time
6 the fact WvW players are 2nd class citizens, no ascended, loot is terrible mostly and you can make far more cash doing something else.
7 nothing for winning
8 terrible league table, fighting same servers for weeks on end
9 another game has just come out

There’s probably many other reasons many people I’ve known just stop playing. Anet need to get a grip with their development team, because atm they seem unable to introduce a change that doesn’t alienate a large chunk of players with each patch. Every serious WvW player I know pins great hopes on the game coming out later this year having better realm v realm combat.

Whilst I agree you get good and bad commanders, your criteria are silly. I’d consider myself half reasonable yet the only one i do meet is the gold spent on upgrades. Initially I only bought it to step in on nights our main commander’s needed a break, as time went on people left the game and I now do more and more.

Not everything in WvW depends on capturing or defending stuff, sometimes you cap a keep and spend the whole time upgrading it. Can the commander be blamed if no one comes ? You get no credit for a defence but you’ve been there all night.

The criteria you lay out is often met by some of the worst players I’ve met barring the gold upgrade one. You could meet the other three zerg balling around EBG quite easily and quite fast.

The commander icon needs an overhaul granted, maybe some different colours where only guild can see, possibly an option for players to actually blockout commander’s they don’t like. But it’s possibly far down Anet’s priority list.

TS3, ventrillo or Mumble are your best friend find a guild who has a commander and uses one of them. Just beware you sometimes run into a grumpy commander such as I and the language can sometimes be colourful.

Much respect to all three servers this week, nice fights all round. Much fun was had in GBL and later Miller’s BL last night. Not happy Anet saved your bay but stuff happens.

There’s a fine line between having faith and just going to another game that treats it’s PVP players with some respect. TBH the WvW updates have set the game back instead of moving it forwards. Firstly the change to orange swords encouraged the current zerg playstyle, then the wxp changes further re-inforced this. Now you need a significant amount of supply just to siege a tower or keep because of the AC changes.

So given Anet’s track record recently I can’t imagine the introduction of ascended items to WvW will be anything other than a complete pain in the butt to get.

Seriously how hard can it be to throw the average WvW player a bone and put a vendor in that charges say 500 badges per piece, don’t go adding + gold or such being as you make next to nothing in WvW these days if you buy siege and do an upgrade or two.

Another whine thread from another PVE player to add to the hundreds before him/her, no mention of the server you happen to be on but i’l guess it’s either at the very top or very bottom of WvW rankings.

Generally over the weeks your servers colour will change, this is the easiest route to map completion. If this isn’t fast enough for you it’s time to buy some gems and transfer to server/server’s where you can get your poi etc.

If you feel this is cheating you could ask around when your server dominates, if that doesn’t work you could go to the furthest extremes like joining a WvW guild or even buying a dorito and launching pug assaults on the places you need.

Now here’s a W3 players opinion on map completion, you moan you have to do 4 maps worth of stuff, well reverse this and consider that a W3 player has to do all the PVE stuff and there’s 5 times as much of it. It bores W3 players and they spend the whole time getting fustrated that they can’t do their beloved W3. You can pop onto W3 and go bingo someone’s done all the hard work I can get another poi etc with no effort.

Just FYI 9 characters all have W3 map completion it isn’t hard.

Buy siege, if you have no use for that siege donate it to a commander you know or respect.

Faced a similar dilema with my ranger that i used to love roaming on. So I switched to mesmer for roaming. Running around capping camps, sentrys etc np. good fun in small scale engagements. Running full beserkers for roaming and it takes stuff down fast, then you can switchout to a glamour build if you wish to zerg.

Another suggestion would be a D/D ele the high mobility and little chance of dying even 1 v 3 makes it one of the better classes for capping camps etc.

Could someone plz look at this problem, its really starting to get on my nerves that there are random places, where if you try to place siege it just vanishes. Hills outer wall has been a problem for months but tonight it happened in south bay outer just in the corner.

This wasn’t happening at bay a few weeks ago, so why has it started now ?

I talked to our server guys and we just don’t have the ability to reset these at different times. As much as that is an unsatisfying answer for you in the EU, it is reality.

You might not have the ability to reset them at different times but you could move them so they are more EU friendly, would it be too much for the USA to have their reset at say 3pm in the afternoon ?

Nice fights all night for us [MM] on BB bl nice work by all that tagged along with us. Skill lag seems to have calmed down abit. Nice defence by our opponants at Dawn’s and Woodhaven, would really of liked to have capped Wood just to stop the guy spamming for his world completion.

I was doing map completion yesterday morning,noticed a guy spamming for his ideal setup. 4 zerk warriors and a mesmer.

He spammed for 20 minutes solid and I presume started his farming, which usually is 3 runs for most groups. Thought it was ironic that he’d spent roughly 41 minutes total doing what any group could do in less than 30 minutes.

I personally find most ‘speed runs’ end up a complete nightmare unless it happens to be with people you know.

I had to laugh when I read your post, seriously we got to T3 and we’re not active in WvW, I’ve personally done the WvW maps on 8 characters 7 of which were on Gandara.

Hints
1. Dont expect to get them primetime, your going to have to stay up late.

2. Joining a WvW guild might help but following a decent commander is probably just as good.

3. Keep your eye on the matchups if Gandara drops a tier spend a week in WvW and I’m talking every spare minute you have. The situation is fluid and we can have alot of all the maps one hour and have lost it soon after, or visa versa. At present we will drop but its a long week.

4. If you cant be bothered with the hassle and you want a free ride check http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#EU If someone’s dominating transfer there, at this very moment Drakker Lake have 530 pts which should pretty much cover every poi etc you need. But thats going to cost you a fair sum of gems to get there and back.

Your non-specific how far along you are with your legendary, if your not far into it map completion is the least of your worries and over the coming weeks Gandara should be other colours than red. If your near the end and you need it now realistically you’ll have to transfer.

I’ll add to my earlier comments, the only place that needs anything changing is Garrison, the stupid T1 gate at inner from the water gate needs to be fixed.

WvW was designed as a money sink, it can eat huge amounts of your gold if you are willing to do so.

Playing on the same server as you Esprit and I know why our T3 stuff falls despite the best efforts of the few who play at night. It would not matter one way or the other if the walls and doors were twice as thick. At certain times there is simply not enough coverage.

On the subject of no upgrades on thats a different matter, its always been that way if certain people have taken a break then the upgrades wont get done. I personnaly was spending upto 60g a week on siege and upgrades until I decided I wanted an ascended backpiece, so I took a break.

People shouldn’t give up on upgrading if you hold a keep for 20 out of every 24 hours thats a ton of points for your server. Its demoralizing to start from scratch again after its lost but it’s just a fact of life.

The timer should have an element of randomness to it and it should be hidden to the players so the timer can’t be abused and exploited. Let’s start making WvW more about PvP.

This would give what you desire rather than a 3 minute timer. But there alot more serious problems in WvW atm that need attention far more urgently than this.

I’m sorry but get over it, I’ve been there when we’ve took down a fully upgraded and defended hills in less than 5 minutes. Just because its T3 doesn’t mean its impregnable.

On the other hand I’ve also beaten off 5-6 golems attacking Garrison in the middle of the night with 5 people. Superior siege obliterates golems especially Arrowcarts. Very much a case of post scouts and learn to defend. Improve communications, what little night crew you have should be on TS or equivilant.

I was occasionally getting hit by agony doing the ice elemental at the end of the dredge earlier in a lvl 20 with 20 AR put it down to a bug.

Predictions
1. Culling / lag on skills still wont be fixed
2. Some kind of new currency, probably based on a WvW daily.
3 Some NPC player triggered events.
4 Loss of more friends due to the fact it wont live upto expectations
5 Many reasons for Pve type players to come to WvW so longer queues
6 A 10 page thread QQ’ing that Ascended still didn’t make it as far as WvW vendors

Each guild runs things differently and if XxX want their own space it seems valid they should have it. Personally I don’t mind the randoms follow us when MM are operating if we have commander badges on.

If we want to do our own thing we operate with badges off.

The guilds of Gandara really shouldn’t be infighting over this and should get back to the unity that was around a few weeks ago.

Had a couple of fun nights this week, winning some and losing some, keep it up Gandara for the rest of the week.

haven’t read whole thread but two things really annoy me, my AR doesn’t translate to my pet and why can’t i put my pet away if i so choose and call it back when i’m ready ?

Karma vendors for some, farm WvW or CoF P1 (vials of karma). buff up before using.
JP farming in WvW you have at least 5 characters, best if theres a mesmer in ebg.
AC P1 switch 80’s through the day.
Do daily / monthly for laurels for Ascended neck, Fractual lvl 10 daily for Ascended rings and do guild missions for ascended accessories.

Was a pretty awful night, the lag in GBL was beyond a joke couldn’t use skills in spawn let alone GG, was a spirited defence considering we were being attacked from multiple directions.

Switched to Piken BL to get away from the lag bomb, bit over the top taking a T1 hills back with 5 golems but I suppose they could of been just sitting in the piken spawn.

Also out-manned in our own BL at 6.30pm uk kind of terrible, don’t think i’ve ever seen that on a sunday.

Good Luck to Kodash in T2, been a fun week for MM, plenty of good fights all round. Looking forwards to next weeks match, hopefully will be as rewarding in terms of fights.

Had a weird incident earlier tonight where one of my guys says he fell through the gate at woodhaven (name might be wrong but that position on map) in kodash bl, happened after midnight sometime. Can any of the 3 defenders confirm he just glitched through the door ?

Gate was at about 30% and the defenders had just put up an arrowcart, we were just starting to retreat as it happened.

Great spirit this week from Gandara doing really well in the new tier.

The thing that makes me smile most about this is its 4 maps you change colour omce in a while and unless your bottom of tier 8 its going to happen eventually.

Now look at it from a WvW players prospective, OMG he has to complete loads of maps he has absolutely no interest in and keeps him away from WvW for days.

Seriously you could necro 100 threads on this subject, done WvW maps on 8 characters it is not hard.

Atm this is a valid tactic no matter how much it upsets anyone, but it shows that the breakout event needs to be changed so it just builds the siege it lays and delivers no supply.

The thing that bothers me is there anyway a Anet moderator can confirm theres no way anybody would have prior knowledge there’s going to be an update and the servers are going to close ?

If I were a betting man I’d stake money on the next serious overhaul of WvW will be bundled in the next expansion available to buy from your local game store. Until then expect a few tweaks here and there but nothing that’s going to thrill anyone.

Earlier today the servers updated and given the update was for bank slots and bag slots was it really necessary to do it right in the middle of European primetime ?

It completely ruined our guild op given that there was a mad dash to log back into our Bl for the enevitable golem rush. Well over half of those who had been online in our op got stuck in queue’s.

Now i’m pretty sure we have previously been promised prior notice for updates and that hasn’t happened and I can’t for the life of me see why this update couldn’t of been done in / at a better time.

Yes its always someone’s primetime but chances are there no queue’s at around 6am GMT so it would have less of an impact.
