I’m happy for you. My character issues got worse. Before (since pre-launch), my Charr’s footprints were backwards.
Now they’re backwards only when I have my weapons out. When my weapons are away, I have absolutely no footprints.
Also, my daggers hang off my sides by like 6" each, so they’re just floating in the air rather than on my belt.
s’pretty cool.
But yes, thanks anet for fixing sylvari back markings.
Guys, guys… Let’s look at this practically.
I just logged into my year+ old Charr, after getting his birthday present, which means he is at least a year old. Walked out onto some sand, what do you know? Footprints for Charr are still backwards after more than a year. A year, how much content has been added to this game in the last year? Without a simple bug fix for an obvious afterthought?
How many ways can they show you they just don’t care about the race?
Maybe it’s because Asura (like every other race in the game) has like 1 voice actor per gender that do every single voice for that race..?
They really could use a lot more variety for VA talent. There’s like 10 people for a cast of hundreds..
your kidding right? you have to be.
These are great:
? Most of those are pretty terrible and sadly they’re about the best ones out there for the Charr.
I guess, don’t make a medium/light armor wearing Charr, should be the title. The armors are horrible for them.
I feel like the biggest kitten in the world, having to open a ticket to ask them to let me give them money.
Mad world…
^ ah that must have been my problem. Not enough hubris!
And let me add on a few things, beating everything 100% in a game shouldnt be for casual players, being a hardcore and seing casual doing the same stuff efortless is really frustrating. Dont Change your mind about jumping event puzzles, for the christmas event make a harder one please! Make it so the Title for the completion of the event worth of something.
I notice that most people that post puffed up posts like this, or saying that the people with issues are just babies etc… all seem to be charr or norn. What a coincidence.
I like the people saying that folks are whining because it’s “too challenging”… right. Not being able to SEE your character at all while trying to make precision jumps and landings isn’t a ‘challenge’ it’s just bad design.
There’s a name for the folks acting as if this is no big deal. They’re called: races that aren’t asura.
Not only should you feel bad, you should have to do it all day, as an Asura with a group of Norn and Charr and every time you fail a kitten dies.
Timed-grouped-jumping puzzle…
Might as well have added collision detection to the puzzle just for more fun!
The Asura and Sylvari cultural weapon tier 2 weapon vendors have had their inventories swapped since launch. ie) if you’re an asura and want to buy your tier 2 cultural weapon you can’t, and vice-versa for sylvari. The Asura vendor has Sylvari weapons for tier 2.
It’s been this way since the head start. It’s probably been posted here before, but thought I’d draw some more attention to it because… dayum.
Can we get an option to disable some of the flavor text? If I hear “I feel six feet tall” one more time…
We need the option to turn off that annoying Icon in pve. Pvp is fine, but at least let me turn that “hey! look at me!” Icon off in pve.
AESTHETIC RESULTS
Profession Happiness Ranking (Happiest to Unhappiest)
1. Thief
2. Warrior
3. Mesmer
4. Guardian
5. Ranger
6. Elementalist
7. Necromancer
You forgot Engineers.
We all go through this. Play it a few weeks. I found once the novelty of the class wears off, you’re left with just that. Novelty for the sake of novelty. It’s enough for some folks that really enjoy flavor classes, but in the end, in its current state, it’s just not for me I guess.
Anyone notice that when you walk in the snow, the footprints you leave behind are backwards?
Many of the Charr footwear models kind of look like afterthoughts. Most look like human shoes with the toes cut out and don’t look very appealing. Can we get an option to hide the foot armor like we do with helm and shoulders? I kind of feel like the charr really got the short end of the stick with armor. Especially medium armor since masks look a bit like feed bags.

I think we can all agree, using the tp to store items by devaluing them to near worthless is a pretty dumb move.
Seriously, putting items up on TP and then taking a fee cancelling the order in order to just sell them at the vendor? Why not just vendor them when you’re crafting them?? Every profession table has a vendor right there…
But honestly, it doesn’t even come close to ruining the economy. The components that these items are made from are just as valuable, since they are required to level up the profession in the first place.
EDIT: I had to go back and re-read the OP. So we’re talking about just items in general, not the crafted items? Ok, I don’t even know what to think. I’m checking out of here for my sanity. If you want to give away money to the economy just travel all over the world or die a bunch of times to incur repair costs. /runs screaming out the window

Conspiracy theory abounds…
People built up inventory over a week of the TP being down to the point where it was filling their banks. The TP opens up and people, trying to undercut each other with a huge glut of the same exact items, end up undercutting each other to the point where they literally aren’t making any money on the deal.
That’s not some evil-genius stragegy of “wrecking the economy”, it’s supply and demand.
Also, even if you accept the premise that people are using the TP for “storage” what reason would you store items that you basically made worthless by listing them for +1c??
not trying to be confrontational, I am genuinely curious

I find it hard to believe folks are putting up items on TP for 1+ in order to “store” these items for lack of bank space What would be the point of that? Putting them up on the auction house for 1+ is basically deeming them worthless, which, in that case, why bother storing them at all?
The whole premise seems wrong. Most people don’t craft items out in the field, they typically craft in towns and outposts that mostly have a TP in them anyway.
I think people fail to realize that the TP is ALL of gw2 and not just their servers and have undercut each other (due to a glut of items) to the point where they are worthless now.
there is only 1 issue with condition removal and it is your lack of player skill, thats all. play thief then you will see what lack of condition removal means.
Not sure if serious. Hide in Shadows, the skill you start with, that’s a healing skill slot, removes bleeding, poison and burning AND it puts you in stealth AND heals you… on a 30 second cooldown.
I’d take that over a turret that has a mystery ticker and an elixir with a 40 second cooldown that takes a skill slot.
apples and oranges. it removes all those things but oh wait you are crippled/chilled/immobilized, have 10 or more stacks of vulnerability and other nasty stuff on you like confusion. what does your hide in shadow help you here? players are not npcs that stop attacking when you are in stealth, a player will still hit you by AOE or shooting in your direction. beside that, it is situational at most or would you waste your healing skill cooldown while you are almost full health just because I stacked some conditions on you at the beginning of the fight? I guess not.
the most effective form of condition removals are either burst all at once or steady one by one. engineer has both. also I dont have any issues with the healing turret condition removal even it is not instant.
When we’re talking about not having a viable option other than using elixirs and unreliable cooldown turrets, you say we’re full of it and compare it to a thief. When we say the thief which you stated was unequivocally worse than the engi, has a better skill for the same thing we are discussing it’s “apples to oranges”. Got it.
The class is ok, my overall opinion of the class is that it’s just kinda clunky at times. Kits are kind of a strange awkward mechanic.
Overall the class feels like when you’re questing in a traditional mmo type game and a quest giver hands you a weapon/tool that you have to use to complete the quest. ie) ghost zapping gun or something else that you use one time and it takes all of your skill buttons and turns them into something completely new for that quest only. You either like those types of quests or you don’t. This profession I feel is for people that enjoy that type of quest.

My wife got this off of reddit. I guess this is the difference between abyss and “black”.

I believe Abyss is the blackest black, I think Celestial is the whitest white. There may be another that’s whiter than Celestial but I’m not sure how, it looks pure white. I have both, been waiting for the market to realize that they actually exist before I sell them. They were both worth a fortune in GW1.
I don’t necessarily agree on the height thing, it’s likely that the npc’s are larger just so you can actually click/see one when there are a bunch of other Charr around.
But totally agreed on the weapon holding thing. It’s bugged me since the first beta weekend. Actually, they used to hold it by the pommel all of the time, but it was kind of fixed, now they just hold it by the pommel when they run so it transitions back and forth, kind of jarring.
Seriously, this needs some kudos. The Asura definitely seem to be the “pet race” for the animators. We got all the cool suff!
It would really be nice to have the option to turn of the audio notifications for things like warrior adrenaline. It kind of breaks the immersion hearing my character say things like “getting pumped” and “Adrenaline full”. I know people like to have an audio cue, but for those of us that don’t mind looking at the bar and preferring that our character stay a little bit more on the quiet side, it sure would be nice to have an option to disable the audio portion.
