Now THIS is the kind of post I like to see from the developers

I much prefer the female animation for carrying the sword around. I think the male animation is all like “Durr, look at mah shiny sword. I’mma wave mah sword around so everyone can see it. Dodge roll? Nah, bra, then people can’t see mah sword!”
Females are like “I need to carry my sword low and behind so I can lean into the sprint and achieve greater velocity. In this manner, I can more quickly arrive at my target and remove its head part from its shoulder parts”.
What I don’t like, however, is the animation for the third auto-attack swing for females. At least for guardians, it’s an awkward uppercut type move. I would much rather see an overhead chop type move. That being said, the male animation is even more awkward. Thrusting with a greatsword? No thank you.

I was big into sequence breaking in my console gaming days, so I love seeing people go off the map. If wall jumping is ever patched, I hope there is some way to make it WvW only. I don’t want the ability to do stuff like this taken out of the game.
And yes, the music choices were great. Jolly Roger Bay for the win

I saw a max-size male Norn named “I Step On Asuras”, then I saw a Asura named “Im Not Small”

Take the Upper Commons teleport, then head north. The gate to Lion’s Arch should be a purple circle, and the exit to Caledon Forest is to the northwest.

Here’s the real life backpack that was made by someone with more skill in their left pinky than I have in my whole body…

I used to have trouble with underwater combat, but now that I’ve done it a few times with different classes (and upgraded my underwater weapons) I find it as easy or easier than combat on land. I agree that the ranged weapons make underwater combat much easier.
My biggest gripe, though, is that sometimes when I’m halfway through killing a critter “immune” will start popping up and they return to their spawn point while regenerating their health. It happens more frequently when using melee weapons, at least in my experience.

I got my healing part of the daily done through events. That being said, if I came across a group of suicide jumpers I would join in without a second thought, even if I already had my daily finished. That sounds like a lot of fun!
(and to be honest, I’d probably strip naked before jumping just for the extra lulz)

I’d like to see the same thing. I wish there were spaces for sub-components such as wooden dowels, insignias, etc. I wouldn’t mind if it was a gem store upgrade to the existing storage.

sigh
It doesn’t matter when the daily resets, you still only have 24 hours to do it. Whether it resets at noon, at 7:00pm, or at midnight, it doesn’t matter. You still have 24 hours to get it finished.

I’ve noticed this too. You get a warning as you leave the renown heart area, and the buff on the buff bar flashes, but it doesn’t remove the leopard form when it expires. I had a lot of fun participating in The Maw event chain as a leopard :P If you are downed, you are returned to you normal form (Protip: the leopard can’t dodge roll).
As a side note, I wish this was actually a feature. Some of my more memorable moments from LotRO involve chicken run…

Running missions for gold was a solid means of making money in GW1. I’m glad to see someone trying the same thing here.

I lol’d!
Never been to that website before, but I stayed around and read some of the articles and really enjoyed myself. Thanks for sharing

My first time through Metrica Province was priceless. The Asura progeny have got to be my favorite characters in the game. First they shunk themselves to the size of mosquitoes, then they had a “Your Momma’s IQ is so Low” contest, then I found a pair of them discussing what the different colors of Hylek meant.
Another memorable moment was at the start of the story quest that has you meet Destiny’s Edge in Lion’s Arch for the first time (A Fragile Peace). The cub saying “I’m Logan, and I’m going to run away!” had me laughing out loud

I would like to see the waypoint costs for the zone you’re currently in be reduced to zero. I hate being on the other side of the map when a Champion event comes up, and having to decide if it’s worth it to port over and help. I don’t mind paying to port to other zones.
I wholeheartedly agree with any cost change that cuts down on the number of loading screens I sit through, and your suggestion makes a lot of sense.

The only other MMO I have played besides GW2 is GW1. I have never participated in a raid, so I have no idea what they’re really like. That being said, the anti-raid people are not making strong arguments as to why they should not be included in GW2.
GW1 had several “raid-like” instances, and I enjoyed them. Urgoz’s Warren and The Deep were both 12-man instances and there were at least two story missions (Vizunah Square and Unwaking Waters off the top of my head) where two parties played in tandem. By my count, that’s 16 players in an instance.
I would love to see dungeon-type content in GW2 where more than 5 people participate. Even if it’s like the two-party story missions in GW1 where two teams of 5 start in different locations, performing different tasks, and then meet up for a final encounter.
The only thing I don’t want to see is content that takes an excessive amount of time to complete. I’ve read that the average raid times in WoW are 2-4 hours. To me, that’s too long. Arah story-mode and Arah path 4 are too long in my opinion, and they’re 1.5-2 hours (or longer on path 4, depending on Dwayna).

At first I was in agreement with th OP until I learned that there were siege blueprints at the end of the puzzles. Now I’m completely fine with people setting up seige equipment there to keep the chests guarded.
Also, best I can tell, each of the “borderland” zones are idenctical, so I doubt the same faction is camping all three of them at the same time.

I just really hate that a boss this challenging is located 2 hours into a dungeon. I would have no problem with Simin if he was the first boss on the path. Then I wouldn’t have to waste two hours if my group is unable to finish him. I say keep the challenge in place, but find some way to move the battle earlier in the run.

I have to say, XLCR is the most absolutely perfect guild tag you could have chosen. I literally chuckled to myself when I read it
Too bad you’re on EU servers, so I can’t visit even when guesting is allowed

I was looking through screenshots and found this. One of the funniest and most memorable moments I’ve encountered while completing a heart quest
I would love to know if the text reads different if you are an Asura…

Area of effect heals and boons now prioritize players’ minions and NPCs.
That is either the most misguided update or the funniest typo ever :P

WvW is mostly unplayable by people with mid- to low-range machinces and you thought putting the entire server into Lion’s Arch and then starting combat was a good idea? Kitten me gently with a chainsaw.
In the future, if one-time events must involve combat, by all means split the population up into smaller chunks. Either have a similar event happen in several different locations, or break the population up into smaller instances. Sort of like in GW1 how you could choose which district of a city to be in. That way friends could still enjoy the event together, but 500 people aren’t all trying to spam attack skills at the same time.
Or, like has been mentioned before, DON’T DO ONE-TIME EVENTS! I’m glad this was a day off and that I didn’t use a leave day, or I’d be really upset.
